There are two types of people in this world; one who stays away from messy situations and one who dives headfirst into the cesspool of messy situations. I was dragged into a messy situation as I was dressed in a black one shoulder jumpsuit with a floral tulle overskirt following the newly appointed CEO of Stark industries and our resident genius, billionaire, playboy and dying philanthropist into the Hotel De Paris in Monaco. The moment I agreed to go on this trip I immediately regretted my wonderfully stupid decision as I remembered that this meant I had to get dressed up for the occasion and enter into a room filled with billionaires, millionaires and socialites which was not so ideal for my ever developing powers which tend to act up in the most unsavoury surroundings. Pepper had taken me shopping for the racing event, the price tags on those dresses made me want to turn right back around and forward march out of the mall but Pepper being the absolutely boss she is dragged me back inside. I went for a jumpsuit instead of a one piece dress because going after a maniac with electric whips in a dress wasn't logical even though it would have looked badass

"You know it's Europe, Whatever happens the next 20 minutes just go with it" Tony warned Pepper as they entered the hotel. "Go with it? Go with what?" Pepper asked confused but the appearance of the ever professional Natalie Rushman answered all her lingering questions as annoyance settled upon her face. 'Damn Pepper looks like she is going to pepper spray Tony' Divya stated a little bit of awe and fear settling in her voice 'Well if she uses it then I may personally add chilli powder to it cause Tony is gonna do a lot worse' I said resigned to the fact that Tony's downward spiral into becoming recklessness due to the poisoning has started. Natasha gave me a subtle nod when she spotted me with them which I returned with one of my own. She guided both of them to pose for some photos and I stood beside her witnessing their lover's quarrel unfold. "When did this happen?" Pepper said her face plastered into a smile which honestly scared me just like when my mom does before she chases me around the house with a sandal in her hand. "What? You made me do it" Tony replied to which Divya retorted 'This guy is intentionally sabotaging his own relationship' I just sighed and shook my head. Natasha pulled me into a corner and looked me over for a second before asking "What happened that day?". The question stumped me as I was trying to decode which day she was referring to when Divya helpfully said 'She's talking about the panic attack you dumbass' .

"I'm fine Natasha, I guess I was a bit overwhelmed with the whole undercover spy thing" I said the lie tasting bitter on my tongue but I tried to give her a reassuring smile but she just raised an eyebrow seeing right through the lie. "If you have any problem and want to back out tell me okay? I'll talk to Fury" she said and I nodded as words betrayed me at the kindness the seemingly emotionless assassin showed me. We came back to the bickering duo as Tony approached Natalie as I walked with Pepper. "What's on the docket?" Tony asked to which she replied "You have a 9:30 dinner". Tony being the absolute Diva he is said that he'll be there at 11:00. "A Queen is never late everybody else is simply early" I murmured Pepper chuckling at the reference as Tony threw me an offended look "I'd prefer being King but being a Queen doesn't sound that bad either". "Of course Your majesty" I said with a slight bow as Tony smirked. Tony told Natasha to book the corner seat as Pepper met up with Elon Musk. 'Is this the guy who named his son X Æ A- Xii' Divya asked as I replied amused 'Yup the one and only, I really pity the kid'. 

Tony was still following behind Pepper trying to placate as I was internally laughing my laughing my ass out. Tony then suggested Natalie give Pepper a shoulder massage as I winced internally and Divya whistled stunned 'He calls himself a playboy but fails miserably to placate his angry girlfriend?' to which I snorted and replied 'He may be charming in his own sarcastic way but when it comes to expressing emotion and communicate this guy has a long way to go'. "Green is not your best colour" Tony said which made me do a face palm as Divya lost it laughing uncontrollably. Pepper flushed in annoyance as I whispered lowly to Tony "You should reconsider saying that to your future wife Tony" to which Tony looked at me baffled and shocked to core as I smirked mysteriously. "Pepper...we.. are not....." Tony sputtered out as I retorted "Yeah and Hammer Industry is better than Stark Industries" as Tony narrowed his eyes in mock offense "That's a low blow" as I chuckled but my momentary happiness was cut off and was replaced by annoyance as I heard that annoying voice. "Anthony! Is that you?" Justin Hammer's voice filters into my ears as I visibly clenched my hands into fists. 'Who's this douchebag?' Divya asked sensing my annoyance toward him 'Meet Justin Hammer, CEO of Hammer industries which is like a cheap rip-off of Stark Industries' I replied resentment clear in my voice as continued 'His weapons don't even work and he also named one of his weapons EX- WIFE , I mean come on was your relationship also a flop and disastrous like your weapons' to which Divya was silent before saying 'Yeah this guy is an idiot'.

Tony answered his greeting in a very less enthusiastic and forced greeting. "You're not the only rich guy here with the fancy car here" Justin said to which I whispered not so subtly "Oh yeah definitely not I also see a snivelling mouse in a rich guy costume here" to which Tony let out a noise which was a mix between a laugh and a cough and Pepper shot me a disapproving look to which I just shrugged. "Who's this? Your long lost daughter Anthony?" Justin asked his tone holding disdain and annoyance as I pasted on a sweet saccharine smile and said "That would have been an honour sir but unfortunately I'm just an intern working at SI". Pepper looks at me with a small smile on her face and Tony looked positively stunned but I just gave him a warm smile and he gave me a barely there smile. 'This man doesn't know that he would be a much better father than his own in the future' I thought to myself as I sighed sad at the fact that Tony Stark a man who is so confident and spreads charisma wherever he goes thinks so less of himself on the inside. Justin then introduced Christine Everheart to the group as my already sour mood already sour that even rancid milk would be better than it. She then rambles on about having a quote from Pepper for their powerful women's issue to which I barely paid attention as I noticed Hammer eyeing me with a frown on his face hostility as clear as day. I gave him an equally dead blank stare as I tilted my head a little to the side as he immediately broke eye contact and said "She's already doing a big spread on me for Vanity Fair". Pepper replied with fire enough to burn down the whole hotel as she said "She did quite the spread on Tony last year" as I winced 'Oof didn't need that mental image Pepper but savage very savage' to which Divya said 'I'll say this once again, this woman right here is the best for Stark' and I wholeheartedly agreed.

Pepper then excuses herself to go to the washroom to which Tony pleads her to not leave him but she leaves nonetheless. "Don't worry Tony I'll be right here with you" I whispered low enough for only him to hear. His face was neutral but his shoulders relaxed a little bit as he gave me an imperceptible nod. Christine began asking questions ignoring the tense environment "Listen, Is it the first time you've seen each other since the Senate?" to which Tony replied "Since he got his contract revoked" and I let slip a chuckle which I disguised as a cough 'That my friends is the definition of a total knockout' I thought to myself as Justin scrambled to explain himself "Actually it's on hold.." Tony cut him off by saying "That's not what I've heard, Kid what's the difference between hold and cancelled" gesturing me to explain as I smiled a devilish smile and said "On hold refers to an event that is temporarily not being dealt with or pursued whereas cancelled means the event will absolutely NOT take place" as Tony gave a flourishing motion as if saying 'There you go'.

Justin Hammer being the hard headed fool he is tried to defend himself by saying "The truth is..." as I interrupted him saying "If I may interject Mr Hammer and I apologise in advance if I am rude but the truth is that the Senate Armed Service must have realised that it's not best to entrust Hammer industries with government contracts seeing your stellar record for making rip-off Iron Man suits which causes more self destruction than the protection it's required to provide" my voice sharp and curt. Hammer's face became red as he took one step towards me but was stopped as Tony blocked his path and he extended one arm behind his back as if asking for a high-five so I gave him one as he smirked a little. Justin regained a little self control before he got to the main point and asked for a slot at the Stark expo to which Tony replied "Well if you could invent something that works, I'll make sure I get you a slot". 'The sassy diva strikes again' Divya cheered as I laughed a little drawing a glare from Justin. Natasha interrupted the mini roasting session by saying that the corner table is ready.

Tony excused himself and goes to the bathroom and I already knew that this is the part where slips out of the hotel and joins the race himself. His blood toxicity level was also 53% by now which was worrying and concerning but I had already informed Fury about the palladium poisoning and also asked him to prepare lithium dioxide to abate the symptoms of it and keep it on standby. Thankfully he didn't ask any questions but just raised one eyebrow and agreed to it. I slipped out of the hotel a few moments after Tony saying that I had to go to the washroom to which Natasha rose an eyebrow but didn't say anything. I was between the audience stand and the barricade separating the race track when I spotted Ivan Vanko disguised as pit crew as he made his way towards the race track. The race had already begun as the racers were being broadcasted on being screen around the stadium but he paid no attention to it or anything else as he was walking forward and I tailed him closely but still remained at a safe distance. He then opens up the barricade and enters the track mid race but I stayed behind deciding to help from the background since I was still under cover.

Vanko reveals his own gear as the upper portion of his orange jumpsuit burns away revealing the bizarre contraptions across his bare chest and the arc reactor he made which was powering his electrical whips. 'He looks like The Undertaker but with electric whips' Divya said awe and fear coating her tone but me being the idiot I am just asked "How do you know about WWE and the wrestlers in it?" but she ignored my stupid question. 'Do we stop this maniac?' Divya asked distress leaking into her tone but I said confidently 'We'll help from the background for now, can't afford to lose my cover now in front of so many people here' our conversation was cut short as Whiplash slashed at a race car causing it to overturn and spin mid air but I subtly used my powers to soften it's landing so the driver is not hurt and thankfully nobody noticed amidst the growing chaos. Meanwhile Tony's car turns the bend and my heart started to race and I was breathing heavily as fear for his life began to gnaw at my confidence but I pushed it aside as Vanko rears his whip back again and slates at Tony's car completely slicing off the front part of the car as his car overturns. I threw out my hand again as thin wispy blue strands covered his car it was barely visible to anybody at a distance but was still risky but I couldn't care about risk much knowing that Tony could receive heavy injuries. I grunted under it's pressure as I tried my best to soften the landing a little. Tony thankfully got out of it with superficial injuries and scratches. I then turned my attention to cars behind him as I tried to prevent them from colliding against each other but I couldn't control all of them as I was not my powers at full capacity at the risk of ruining my cover as I hid in a small crevice under the audience stand and the barricade.

Unfortunately somewhere at a distance from Tony's car there was an explosion which caused me to almost lose my balance as flames erupted behind Whiplash making him look like the Devil himself from hell. Whiplash approached Tony's car as I stared at the scene apprehensively as I saw Tony coming up behind him and smash his head with a metal plate but he barely flinched as slashes his whips crackling with electricity Tony making him stumble back against the asphalt. He dodges another slash as rolled away from the whips and my fear began to cloud my rationality as I readied myself to blow my cover and just run over there and help him but Divya stopped me by saying 'Stop Divija you can help him by not revealing yourself look inside you try to find the solution in your abilities' I bristled at her cryptic as I racked my brain when looked at the sun shining on the horizon and an idea formed inside my head 'Photokinetic Invisibility if I can manipulate the photons around us preventing it from being reflected of the surface of my skin then I can render myself invisible' I thought as I concentrated at the photons surrounding me and repelled them outwards using my own energy to form a blanket around me as my limbs began to vanish and slowly so did my torso and face. Thankfully nobody noticed it since I was already hidden but there was no time to rejoice at my achievement.

I turned my attention toWhiplash as I moved closer but still behind the fence and extended my hands andbegan to absorb the electrical energy from his whips and reduced it's voltageto a level that would not be lethal to Tony as he slashes at Tony again but misses. His arc reactor began to flicker as I was absorbing the energy butVanko barely paid any attention to it. I was feeling dizzy by the extremeamount of power I was absorbing barely able to control as my control was splitover keeping myself hidden and absorbing the voltage but thankfully appeared atthe right time and I relinquished my hold on my power and rushed towards themas he rammed the car into whiplash. Pepper was trying to give Tony the case containing his armour but was unable to since the car was ramming against Vanko continuously so I took the suitcase scaring the devil out of her and threw it towards Tony whose eyes widened as he shouted "Kid get back, behind the barricades now" I nodded at him as I ran and climbed the fence and tumbled behind the barricade my limbs burning from exhaustion as black spots danced inmy vision. I pushed myself a bit too much. Following the whole event I was barely conscious as my vision darkened and then came into focus again as I sawIron man and Whiplash fighting as I slumped back. I felt blood trickling down my forehead and I realised that I was hit by debris when I was trying to helpTony and the last thing I heard was Tony calling my name "DIVYA!!!" as I closed my eyes.
