In the Hellicarrier Loki was escorted back to his containment cell where Fury and Loki have a pissing contest of who can scare the other person more. "How desperate are you that you call on such lost creatures to defend you? A mindless beast and a girl shrouded in secrets you can't even fathom" Loki said as he gave one of his trademarked sinister smile which if thousands and millions of Loki fans would have made fan edits of if they witnessed it. "He really grows on you doesn't he?" Bruce said apprehension clear in his voice as Natasha looked at me raising an eyebrow. 'She is very perceptive Divi, are you sure she will not find out what we are keeping from the whole team. That we basically know everything that would happen to them.' Divya said to which I simply said 'We all have our demons and secrets if anyone knows it better it would be her, she'll not pry unless it hurts the people she cares about'.

I turned my attention back to Thor and for the fourth time I almost let out the inner fangirl in me as I marvelled Chris Hemsworth's face which I had only seen in movies and ad banners. Thor watched me with amusement on his face as I began poking his biceps and I swear Drax and Gamora were right. He was a man and it felt like his muscles were made of metal fibres now whether it was katatti metal or vibranium I'm not sure. "Who are you young mortal?" Thor asked amused to which I replied smiling "The name is Divija Malhotra, Shield. Nice to meet Lord of Sparkles". Thor seemed adorably confused as he retorted "It's god of...." but was interrupted by the 70 year old dry-aged beef "Can we get back on track, what is Loki's plan Thor?"

I gestured Thor to let me answer and he nodded "Sure Mr. Rogers Loki's plan is to invade earth with the help of some alien species from outer space using the Tesseract." The captain looked at me sceptically "How do you know that? Thor tell me..." but was cut off by an excited golden retriever called Thor as he asked me excitedly "Lady Divija you are so knowledgeable. It is indeed the Chitauri that Loki is working with, are you perhaps a seer?" I just chuckled nervously and cleared my throat saying "No just deduction, Loki wants humanity to kneel before him so obviously he has some sort of backing like an army which is certainly not Asgardian as Thor is here plus he took the Tesseract and Dr. Selvig who obviously were working on stuff related to portals right? So obviously the army is from outer space."

Captain America's Ass was even more confused as he repeated "An Army? from outer space?" to which Divya replied 'Yeah just like a fossil from 1940's shocking' . I almost died from holding back my laughter at that. I tuned out some of the conversation until Bruce said that Loki has a brain full of a bag of cats. 'Not as crazy as he might think but he does seem like a cat hissing sometimes.' I thought to which Divya chuckled 'Heh Lokitty'. Thor came to his brother's defence to which Natasha replied that he killed 80 people in two says. 'And now cue the meme' I thought as Thor replied "He is adopted". Divya was laughing so much that at this point I was sure here non-existent throat must be aching. Bruce changed the subject by asking why Loki needed iridium.

"It's a stabilising agent." Tony said making another sassy entrance patting Thor on the way and nicknaming him Point break. I nodded my head "It would be used to stabilise the portal for a time enough to allow the Chitauri army to enter Earth" I said as Tony gave me a fist bump saying "Also the portal will stay open wide for as long as wants to." Tony continues explaining and does his shenanigans bothering the galaga man whilst discreetly plants a chip to hack the Shield servers.

Tony catches my eye as I smirk at him giving him a raised eyebrow which he responded with a wink. "He would need a power source...." Tony said and then gestured me to continue "Of High energy density to kick start the Tesseract maybe like a nuclear fusion reactor" I said my inner science and marvel geek peeking out. "When did you both become an expert in Thermonuclear Astrophysics?" Maria Hill asked and I gave Tony a smile as I answered "I am presuming last night". "Yup....The packet, Selvig's notes, the extraction theory paper which I had sent a copy to little Sabrina here. Are we the only ones who did the reading?" Tony said smirking.

"Does Loki need some kind of power source" Rogers asked to which Bruce replied that he would have to heat the cube to a 120 million Kelvin just to break through the coulomb barrier. "That's a bit more than the nuclear ion fusion in the nuclear reactor wow" I said awestruck and Tony put in his two cents "By stabilising the quantum tunnelling effect". "Yeah with that he can achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet as Divija said" Bruce said smiling and there was also a hint of something else there maybe pride but I just brushed it off as excitement. Fury then ordered Tony and Bruce to work on the sceptre that turned 2 of his sharpest minds into his personal monkeys. "Monkeys I do not understand" Thor asked confused. The icicle brightened up a little as he shouted "I do, I understood that reference" and Tony rolled his eyes exaggeratedly. 'Ladies and Gentlemen cue the meme' I thought snickering to myself.

I left Bruce and Tony to do the work that the science bros do knowing that they will be onto Fury's secret regarding the Tesseract soon and it will become a supreme shit show then. I practiced with my Trishul in the training room and this time Divya taught me how to change my trident into any other bladed weapon I want and so far I successfully changed it to a short sword and a pair of twin daggers. 'With more practice you can change Trishul into many other weapons based on the situation' Divya said excitement shining through her voice. I met Natasha on my way to Loki's cell and pleaded her to let me do the interrogation. She was adamant on not letting me near him after the whole getting stabbed incident.

Thankfully I had already asked for permission from Fury about this and in exchange had already informed him about Loki's plan on riling up the Hulk thus allowing him to escape in the chaos. Fury being the ever smart and observant person he is didn't question much and allowed me to take over. Loki was pacing the width of the cell when I entered as I stood behind the glass separating both of us. He turned giving me a somewhat sinister smile which was just amusing at this point. "Hello warrior or should I say yoddha? Here to play saviour and save me from whatever you think is wrong with me" he said a sarcastic lilt to his otherwise smooth voice. "All in due time my dear kitty cat now put back your claws I'm just here to talk" I said smirking matching his own wit as he sneered at me but remained silent.

"Are you okay?" I said hoping that this time at least a fraction of my sincerity towards helping him would shine through. Loki scoffed as he turned his back towards me and said "I'm perfectly alright see, no harm that you mortals can bring upon me". "Not physically Loki.... and I promise you that I'll make him feel the same pain you went through in the void..... I know that the wound of betrayal hurts but hopefully I could help you through it you don't have to be alone..." I said but was cut off by Loki as he turned back his face twisted in a mask of raw pain and anger as he shouted "YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WARRIOR!!". He gave me a menacing sneer as he came close and hissed in a low but venomous tone "He knows your deepest and darkest secrets, the ugly scars that you try so hard to hide....the secrets you keep from your own teammates."

Loki smiles maniacally as he continues his onslaught of verbal attacks each hitting it's mark more accurately than the one before it as the thin armour that I built around my already guilt burdened heart began to chip away. "You are a betrayer.... who had knowledge of everything, every pain and loss they will face. You are aware of their deepest thoughts, regrets, doubts and yet you won't do anything as their cruel fates destroy them." Loki spat out and like transparent glass as fractals of cracks appear on it my armour and all the guilt and self loathing began pouring out.

I closed my eyes and took a shuddering breath 'He is attacking your sore point to stop you from getting through him Divi be strong. You are doing everything to protect your family and your friends here. You are not a betrayer, remember with great power..' 'Comes great responsibility' I thought as I answered Loki "I will stop the worse the worse from happening".

Loki laughed mockingly as he said "You couldn't even stop your father from leaving....if you had been better perhaps he wouldn't have left". My heart thudded painfully in my chest as fury burned through my veins and yet my eyes blurred with tears. "Don't you dare you bastard" I said my voice thick with anger and pain but he didn't stop. "Now you're on the verge of losing your mother too..... poor warrior all alone" he sighed with mock sympathy. 'Divi that's not true you're not alone I'm right here with you. We will break this curse together your mother will be fine' Divya reassured me but they fell on deaf ears as my mother's serene yet unresponsive face flashed across my eyes and my heart clenched even more painfully.

"Even the soul inside you is hiding a secret from you" he said and I asked Divya 'What is he talking about?' but the silence that followed was worse than the secret itself. "You are not even a mortal anymore. A Yoddha the esteemed representative of the Holy Trinity can never be a mortal. A vessel for the fraction of their souls, the souls of divine entities cannot rest in a mere mortal without destroying it to atoms.

"So you're saying..." I spoke mechanically but could not bring myself to complete the sentence as my throat felt blocked and words were lodged inside it. Loki chuckled as he came closer to the glass barrier and banged his fists against it startling me as I took a tiny step back. "You are part divine and part mortal and as long as that soul resides within you and you are the warrior your divinity will cause you to age slowly. You'll age once a decade and you will watch your loved ones die before you do leaving you all alone. That's what you're afraid of most isn't it being alone" Loki said as I felt my world tilt off axis.

"I can help you get rid of this curse and save your beloved mother. You can have your happy mortal life without carrying the burden of saving everyone. You will be free without blood on your hands. Join me on my purpose and you shall be free of your curse without being a mere puppet whose strings are connected to three gods who could care less about you" Loki said as those words broke me yet there was a strange look in his eyes as if he was pleading me to do something maybe to believe him or rather not believe him but I was far too lost in the pain of betrayal to care about that. My face hardened as I spoke monotonously "You said that my soul is connected to them right? That I am connected to them through a string like a puppet?".

'Divi don't listen to him the Tridev feel every single pain of the warrior as the warrior is their creation their most cherished being, a part of them. They understand your pain and suffering.' Divya pleaded and I chuckled humourlessly. "Yes of course" Loki said and smiled in victory but it soon vanished replaced with shock mixed with tinge of horror as I summoned the Trishula and then changed it into a dagger.

"Then they should feel this too" I said smiling tears burning my eyes as I slashed my left arm as blood coated the blade it vibrated as if shuddering from doing a forbidden crime. Blood flowed down in tiny streams like thin spider webs forming a beautiful yet horrifying pattern on my sun tanned arm. "Also I'm not joining you" I said as I turned and walked away without looking back tears flowing freely as my left arm throbbed and the back of my neck burned.

VISHNU'S POV:

"She is hurting" I said asmy eyes became moist. I let out a shuddering breath as I looked towards Shivawho's jaw was clenched as if holding back his cry of pain as our most cherishedcreation suffered in pain of betrayal and agony of guilt and self loathing. It tore me as I once remembered the innocent baby whom I had sworn to protectfifteen years ago and for the first time I felt that I failed.

"She was lost in grief and betrayal yet she never gave up on her morals and Integrity with this I, Brahma the creator declare this to the whole multiverse that Divija, the Yoddha and the protector of the multiverse has passed the first trial" Brahma declared and yet there was a quiver in his ever steady voice which betrayed his pain. Shiva just clutched his left armwhich bore the reminder of her pain and the betrayal she felt from us. It wasthe scar all three of us had. The punishment that our creation had given us and we had accepted.

A/N : Wow lot to unpack here so yeah Divi is not completely human and will age slowly like Thor but not that slowly. This was by far the longest chapter I wrote. Also she passed her first trial!!!! Six more to go what do you think will happen next.
