The whole Shield hellicarrier was bustling with the sounds of the shield agents preparing for the oncoming "war" as Fury so eloquently put it. Coulson was tasked with briefing the ice cube I mean the one and only Captain Rogers on the current scenario while I was with Natasha still not allowed to do any heavy training because I was still recovering from the little gift that Loki had imparted to me before escaping with the tesseract. 'You're lucky I was there to carry your ass to the HQ infirmary or else you would have died. I don't understand why you want to help him so much when he doesn't even need it.' Divya said as anger as well as concern tinted her voice.

'Things are not always the way they look Divya we all have our demons and he's fighting his own and I want to help him.' I said my eyes becoming misty as I remembered the vision of Thanos I saw as I was trying to free him from the clutches of the mind stone. 'We'll meet soon little fighter' once again the voice filtered into my mind like a nightmare surfacing from the depths of my subconscious as I shuddered slightly and closed my eyes for a moment. Natasha snapped me out of my reverie as she informed me that the jet carrying Steve Rogers landed on the landing deck. "Fury has called the team for a briefing come let's bring Rogers to him." Natasha spoke as she started to walk in front of me but stopped as she realised I wasn't following her. "Divi? You coming?" she asked as those green eyes scanned me for any odd behaviour.

"Do I have to go?" I whined my voice low and Divya snorted at my reaction 'I'm getting the feeling you do not like the Captain a lot' to which I replied 'I have my biases against the ice cube but I'm gonna keep them to myself. Although I have a feeling we're gonna butt heads a lot in the future'. "Divi you also are as much a part of the team as he is so you have to get along with him" Natasha said already seeing through my thinly veiled disinterest. "I am aware of that Nat, I just am not the biggest fan of the star spangled man with a plan." I said as I dragged myself to the landing deck.

The futuristic looking jet landed and out came Coulson and Steve Rogers. "Agent Romanoff, Agent Malhotra this is Captain Rogers" Coulson introduced both of us. "Ma'am" Steve nodded as he acknowledged Natasha but then he squinted as he stared at my amazing self dressed in another one of my science pun t-shirts and jeans. Not very agent like I guess. "Kid, are you lost? Where are your parents?" Steve asked confused and I raised an eyebrow "I assure Mr Rogers I am not lost and also am a part of the team just as much as you are. As far as parents are concerned you don't need to worry about that sir, Shield keeps me under a lot of adult supervision" I said smirking at Natasha who was hiding a tiny smile.

"They have not mentioned a kid in the briefing file?" Steve asked to which Natasha intervened saying "Agent Malhotra has special abilities which at exposure can create a lot of problems so shield does not keep a file on her under Director Fury's order. Now the introductions are done, they need you on the bridge they are starting a face trace". Coulson left and Natasha forced me to take a walk with her and Grandpa Frisbee. "It was quite the buzz here finding you in the ice" Natasha said breaking the ensuing awkwardness. I almost snorted and Divya was laughing her ass off in my head. 'Oh lord, so you're telling me this man just came out of a deep freezer like a bag of frozen peas now thawed and prepared?' Divya said amidst her cackling and a little chuckle slipped past me thankfully unnoticed by the icicle but Natasha gave me a raised eyebrow to which I just shook my head.

"Anyways now that I've introduced myself to Mr Rogers here I'll meet you back at the bridge, see ya" I chirped as I speed walked my way out of that awkward encounter. I encountered Dr Banner as I was walking away. "Hello, Dr Banner I am really sorry that we have to meet under such circumstances but I think you're a very strong and brave person and I am a fan of that quality" to which the shy doctor replied awkwardly "Do I know you? And I think you are talking about the other guy" to which I just smiled and said "No doctor you do not know me but I am also part of the team good guys. Also the 'Other Guy' is a part of you and I admire you for your inner strength to still help people even when you were going through so much physical, emotional and mental pain plus you're not defined by just 'The Hulk' you're also Dr Bruce Banner who wrote an amazing paper on anti-collision theory and also Bruce Banner who lived in a third world country helping sick people so be proud of yourself. I know I am"

Dr. Banner just stared at me shocked and I gave him a wave and left saying "I'll see you on the bridge doctor". I met up with Fury on the bridge as the hellicarrier took off and it was a magnificent view which even Divya enjoyed. "Agent Malhotra, You're early for the team briefing. I am assuming this is relating to the current mission specifically the target of this mission, Loki." Fury said guessing my motive correctly. "Director let's talk where there are less eyes and ears." I said in a low voice and Fury nodded as we walked to his office. He scanned his retina on the biometric scanner and we both entered the sound proofed room which also had no cameras. "Director this is bigger than just an Asgardian losing his way. Someone else is pulling the strings and they're benefiting from creating havoc and taking the tesseract as the chaos ensues."

"Agent whether Loki is guilty or not is no more an issue we are taking back the tesseract and..." but I cut Fury off saying "Whatever you do Fury do not let the tesseract fall into Shield's hands it's a lot more dangerous than a simple energy source and if you're planning on using it for phase 2 forget it. Somebody else will eventually have their hands on it and that'll be catastrophic. After all Shield isn't the most secure place in the world" I said giving Fury a meaningful stare trying to warn him about the parasite known as 'Hydra' feeding on Shield.

He just nodded as we went back to the bridge. Natasha entered the bridge with Dr Banner and Rogers as we re-entered. "Gentlemen" Fury said addressing the two men as Steve handed him ten bucks for losing his bet. I sidled up next to Fury and said "Hey would you mind if you give that to me I am really craving some McDonald's" to which Fury just stared at me blankly and then walked away.

"Aww man I really wanted some cheeseburgers maybe even a big mac" I mumbled pouting. Fury was talking to Banner as they began discussing as to how to locate Loki whilst I was humming a tune but Captain Righteousness didn't appreciate my top class humming as he frowned at me with those famous 'eyebrows of disappointment.

Coulson was explaining how they were trying to locate but the method was ineffective and Dr Banner asked them how many spectrometers they have access to. "Director, I think we have to put as many spectrometers as possible on roofs and set them to track Gamma radiation of that specific frequency that the Tesseract emits" I said looking at my fingers.

I was met with silence which caused me to look up and six people were staring at me silently which unnerved me. "What? Did I say something wrong?" I asked nervously as I began to recall whatever I studied on waves and electromagnetic radiations and also the dossier I received on the Tesseract. "No no you're correct. How old did you say you were?"Bruce asked surprised. "Fifteen, doctor" I replied to which he said "You are smart Agent Malhotra, I hope we meet after all this" and I brightened up immediately at the thought of spending time in the labs with Dr Banner. 'Your inner science geek is freaking out, I can feel it Divi' Divya said in an exasperated tone.

"Shall I show the good doctor here to the labs then director? Or shall Agent Romanoff do it?" I asked with a smirk to which Bruce blushed a little and Nat gave me a glare which I skilfully ignored and bounded away whistling another old bollywood love song.
