It had been a few months since the whole Stark Expo fiasco and I had tried my best to accept my reality as an upcoming superhero in the Marvel universe but sometimes I do slip up and blurt out movie references unknowingly in front of Tony whenever I visit him for my internship. Did I say internship? Apparently Tony talked to Fury when he met him regarding the Avengers Initiative. Tony annoyed the hell out of Fury with is sarcastic barbs until him and Fury came to an agreement that he would let me come to the tower every weekend unless I have any ongoing missions which was not very often because Fury wanted to keep me under wraps as much as possible after the Stark Expo incident where I exposed my powers thankfully nobody knew how I looked like due to the mask that was covering my face but people were still making theories as to who I was; some said I was an alien abducted by a secret organisation and now used as a vigilante which was kind of accurate now that I think about while others said I was a government experiment.

Nonetheless things have been peaceful since then except for 'Fury's big week' when he had to deal with Thor being banished to earth but unfortunately I was still recovering from the injuries I had sustained from the Expo fight and Natasha didn't even let me leave the infirmary bed unless it was for toilet breaks. Clint though was assigned briefly to that mission sometimes visited me as we played uno which lead to a lot of bickering because Natasha said and I quote 'He is a sore loser' when it came to these games. He also bought me some new science pun T-shirts which I started to really like. Tony visited as much as he could but he looked worried and guilty even though I told him a thousand times but he would just change the subject. Thankfully during those few weeks of recuperation he had given me a Stark Pad to entertain myself. I was thoroughly entertained as I never even held an I-Pad in my world and now I'm using technology far more advanced and sleek than that.

Now fully recovered I was walking with Fury as we reached the site where the Tesseract was being experimented with which seemed like a stupid idea to begin with but it was not wise to interfere much. Fury asked about the situation and how bad was it to which Coulson replied he didn't know. Coulson led us to the Tesseract explaining on the way that Dr Selvig had detected a surge from the Tesseract and I just sighed as I recounted the next events which were about to take place which involved a certain god of mischief causing a lot of chaos and mayhem even though he was being controlled by the infinity stone in his sceptre. 'All the Loki fans would be going crazy if they were here now' I thought and Divya scoffed as she said 'You're not fooling anyone Divi you're just as bad. You were freaking out for days when you first came here at the thought of meeting the avengers' and I sputtered internally as my ears turned pink. 'Ahem I'm a marvel geek so it's natural for me to be a little excited even now as I am about to meet the infamous Loki who's certainly a very interesting character.'

'Don't forget Divi he's not completely in control of his actions right now so do not let your guard down he's not called silver tongue for nothing' Divi warned me and I sighed and nodded my head 'He must have suffered in The Void' I thought as my thoughts were brought back to the current situation as Fury and Hill split up. "Agent Malhotra you're with me" Fury said curtly as I nodded and followed him. Fury then asked Dr Selvig and asked him to explain the situation. "The Tesseract is misbehaving" Selvig said and I covered my mouth and muttered "Yeah and the one coming out through it also misbehaves a lot" and Fury narrows his eyes at me as he asked the astrophysicist "Is that supposed to be funny?". They further discuss about harnessing it's energy and I winced as I spoke my voice low "It's not just an energy source Director and right now you are tampering with the unknown and that never ends well" to which Fury just stared at me before moving on.

"Where's Agent Barton?" Fury asked and I chuckled as Selvig and I replied simultaneously replied "In his nest" as I spot him and used my powers to lift him up as blue aura surrounded him and he floated above the ground as he glared at me and said "Divi let me down, this is not the time for revenge prank". "Don't worry Clint my prank is more creative than that" I said as I put him down albeit the landing could have been a tad bit smoother as Clint fell on his butt and he whined "That hurts Divi" and I just smirked and said "Sorry pigeon brain". "Have you seen anything that might set this thing off" Fury asked Clint as I just stood near the Tesseract mesmerised at the sight of the Infinity Stone. 'It looks even more awesome from up close' I murmured. Somebody warned that the energy is spiking again as I stepped back and muttered "Aw shit here we go again" and Clint just tilted his head in confusion at my antics. "If there was any tampering it wasn't at this end sir" Clint said and Fury furrowed his eyebrows as he enunciated "At this end?" to which Clint replied "Yeah, the cube is a doorway to other end of the space right?" and I sighed as I spoke "We have an unannounced visitor trying to get in Fury. I hope you have what it takes to welcome him".

Fury's eyes widened and before he could ask me any further the Tesseract started pulsating and crackling as it released an energy wave which I absorbed easily. 'This energy is powerful Divi be careful of it' Divya warned me but I couldn't concentrate on what she was saying as the Tesseract shot out a beam as a portal began to form on the other side of the room. It simultaneously exploded as I absorbed more of the energy 'Will probably need it for the upcoming confrontation' I thought. The agents started to move slowly towards the area where the Portal was just formed but I raised my hands and shook my head as I signalled Fury to call them off. He nodded and they backed off as I stepped forward walking casually as I whistled and reached where Loki was crouching. He raised his head and there was a crazed smile on his face but I matched it with a sweet one of my own as he furrowed his eyebrows and spoke "Who are you child? Why are you smiling?" he said and I chuckled "I am welcoming a guest and damn that's a sexy voice thought of going into singing cause you would absolutely be sensational".

Fury having enough of it said "Agent Malhotra get back right now" I sighed irritated as I backed off. "You're an interesting one youngling" Loki said smirking and I smirked back. "Sir, please put down the spear" Fury said and it took me everything to not but out laughing then and there itself. 'My humour is broken for sure' I thought and Divya just sighed exasperated. Loki looked at the spear as I squared my shoulders and held out my hand. He pointed his sceptre at them and released a blast but I threw up my hands forward as I absorbed the energy blast. My mind became muddled for a second as I saw a silhouette of a man.... no a giant on a throne. "Thanos" I growled and he just chuckled "We'll meet soon little fighter". I was ripped out of that vision but I was caught off guard as Loki blasted me again as I flew backward a good five feet as I fell like a rag doll.

Another agent started shooting at him but I raised my hand to stop him but it was futile as Loki stabbed him and then proceeded to throw daggers at others. I winced and raised myself up and shouted "HEY GREASEBALL" which successfully got his attention as I blasted him. He fell a few feet backwards which gave me a little satisfaction but he got right back up and threw two daggers at me but I threw my hand forward as blue aura surrounded the daggers like vines and stopped it mid air. I flicked my hand and they were thrown back towards Loki who dodged it with practiced ease. "This power.... this energy seems ....familiar" Loki murmured as he stepped forward and I stepped back but before I could do anything he aimed his spear at me as I threw myself sideways avoiding the attack and threw a side kick but he caught my leg as he threw me upwards but I just used my other foot to nail him on his chin as I landed in a half crouch position. He touched his chin and smirked "Feisty youngling".

I stood up and threw up my hands and prepared to blast him off but as he threw a dagger which I dodged but unfortunately he managed to send a powerful blast from the sceptre hitting me square in the chest as I fell backwards by ten feet and held my chest groaning. The agents and Fury were shooting at him but they bounced off his 'Asgardian leather' uselessly. He blasted them off with the sceptre as he stalked towards me like a cat. I sat up and wiped off the blood flowing from the side of my mouth and smirked "Hey Lokitty... how's Assguard". He growled at the taunt and lifted me up by my neck as I clawed at his and. "Kinky but I am... not... interested... khfff" I croaked out but he ignored me and turned me backwards and pulled down the collar of my shirt as my warrior's mark became visible. "So they chose you to be their representative .... how pathetic. He told me to expect you to block my path to my..." he said but I cut him off saying "To... your glorious.... purpose I ...know ". He frowned but I took this moment to reach my hand forward to touch the side of his face "I know you're in their Friggason. Please don't let him use you anymore".

His eyes widened and the grip on my neck loosened a bit and I asked Divya 'Can we help him out anyway?' to which she sighed and said 'He's under control of an infinity stone it's hard but you can try to siphon off the infinity stone's power from inside him' . I nodded and concentrated on the hand on his cheek as my hands lit up blue and blue veins appeared on his face and yellow veins appeared too as if fighting me off his eyes flickered green before turning back blue and he regained his consciousness as he gritted his teeth and stabbed me in my left side as he dropped me. "Stay down warrior" he hissed as I helplessly watched him turn Clint and take back the Tesseract from Fury before he looked at me stoically and then left.
