"McKenna can you BELIEVE the school is getting shut down?! It's because of that stupid jog and it's all our fault!" I shouted
"But Alexis," McKenna started "If it weren't for the jog, we wouldn't be friends!"
"I suppose you're right."
"I'm always right."

We saw Olive and Oliver again. They still wouldn't talk to us.

"And we still have a while before May! We're gonna have fun in the next couple months!" I said proudly.

McKenna sighed.
"Al, I'm afraid I have some bad news."
"What is it?" I asked
"My dad wants me to come home."
"I know that."
"Right now."

She couldn't have been serious.
"I'm serious" she said sorrowfully
"You are gonna write to me, right?"
"Actually, my dad thinks this is because I became friends with you so he doesn't want me to keep in touch with you."

There was a long silence.

"He's coming to get me tomorrow." McKenna started to cry. "I'm gonna miss you so much, Alexis."
"Me too." I said quietly
