Jimin entered his bedroom holding a bag of snacks from the convenience store and dropping it on the bed next to his best friend.
Yoongi was in a daze, hardly noticing his friend's arrival. He looked exhausted and lost. His hair was a mess and it was evident that the boy had just thrown on a random pair of sweats and a t-shirt before rushing over to Jimin's apartment.
When Yoongi had texted Jimin the news, the smaller didn't hesitate to invite the blonde over. In the past, whenever one of the two were sad, sleepovers always seemed to do the trick, and his apartment would be more private than Yoongi and Hoseok's shared dorm room. Yoongi was dumbfounded and heartbroken, so much so that he didn't even know how to react or feel. He was almost numb, which worried the younger greatly. A simple sleepover wouldn't do the trick this time.
"Sorry I took so long. There was a long line at the convenience store" the younger stated, hoping to pull Yoongi out of his trance. "I bought your favorites!" Jimin gave the older an exaggeratedly happy grin and lifted the Tteokbokki crackers and banana flavored milk out of the sack.
When he didn't get acknowledged in the slightest by Yoongi, Jimin gently set the snacks by the older and let out a sigh.
"Can you please explain to me what's going on?" he pleaded. "I read your text, but you haven't said a single word since you got here. It's been hours. I'm concerned about you Yoongs. Please tell me what's wrong."
Like magic, Jimin's words made the older suddenly crack. His eyes filled with tears as he bit down on his bottom lip to hold back from sobbing. It was like saying it out loud would make it all real for him. Whatever was happening was devastating for Yoongi, and it was incredibly heartbreaking for Jimin to watch.
The younger sat patiently waiting for the sad male to speak.
Yoongi took in a sharp breath and let out, "I saw her Jimin. I seriously saw her with my own eyes." He clenched his fists tightly over his lap. Jimin just watched his friend carefully. "I mean... I didn't like see them at it, but I saw them leaving the empty classroom together and it was so obvious!" he spat, clearly getting more frustrated and confused.
"Hyung..." Jimin didn't know what to say. He just waited and hoped his friend would go into more detail for him to understand better, and he did.
Before Yoongi went to catch up with Jimin and the rest of their friends for lunch, he decided to pay a visit to Sera. She would've just finished her theatre audition and he wanted to surprise her and see how it went. Being the perfect boyfriend he is, he even prepared a box of chocolates for his little actress ahead of time that said, 'I'm so proud of you!' on the top in gold lettering.
He clutched the box in his hand and walked down the drama hall with the biggest derpy grin on his face.
As he walked by classrooms, he scanned each door for any indication that auditions were taking place. He finally found a door with a paper sign stating 'Auditions in Session'. Yoongi glanced down at his watch in curiosity.
Sera's audition should've ended about ten minutes ago and she was supposedly the last audition, so he found it strange that he hadn't received a text from her or that there were auditions still taking place. He figured that they had just gotten behind schedule, so he sat by the door and waited for his princess.
After another ten minutes, he was growing concerned.
He sent Sera a text, but didn't get a response. He stood from his spot and pressed his back against the wall, right in front of the door. Just as he leaned his head back, growing more impatient, he heard the familiar click of a door opening and glanced forward, and what he saw killed him.
Kang Sera strutted out of the room, buttoning back up the top three buttons of her blouse. Her lipstick was completely smudged, her hair was tangled mess, like someone was gripping the back of her head, and she looked completely satisfied. Closely behind her, a middle aged man followed, probably the drama director, in a similar state as her with his hand gently placed at her hip. As she glanced up her gaze locked on to Yoongi's in a state of shock. She froze.
"Yoongi~...." she shakily said, fear obvious in her expression. She had been caught.
Yoongi is about to turn and leave, but she grabs on to his arm to stop him. He just turns and glares at her, not sure what to say at the moment, but his eyes said it all. He was pissed, but mostly hurt.
She just spat out the cliche line of, "It's not what it looks like, trust me." But that's just it. His trust has been completely thrown out the window. There was no denying it.
He wiggled out of her grip and headed toward the exit, but she wasn't done with this conversation. She pulled him back by the shoulders and forced him to turn around and look at her. He had tears already streaming down his face, and he dropped the box of chocolates to the ground. Her face softened a little when reading what was scripted on the top, but it still held so much selfishness.
"Yoongi, please let me explain!" she begged, as her eyes began to fill with tears, but Yoongi wasn't having it.
"Explain what!?" Yoongi screamed at her, his face contorting with pure anger. He's never once yelled at his girlfriend, even when she was treating him downright awful, so this was a first for her and it terrified her.
His volume alerted many passerbys in the hall, including Namjoon, who was running late for lunch.
Namjoon stopped in his tracks when he realized the scream came from Yoongi and was shocked by the entire situation as Yoongi continued. "All I can see is that my girlfriend, who I thought I was in a committed relationship with, cheated on me with her damn Drama Director. For fucks sake!"
With that, he stormed off to the exit. Sera didn't dare follow him out.
--------------------
Jimin couldn't believe what Yoongi had told him that night. He did, indeed, believe that that bitch of woman would be capable of hurting Yoongi in this way, but he never wished for it to actually happen.
That night, Jimin just listened to Yoongi and was there to comfort him. He knew it wasn't the time to tell his friend he knew all along, nor would he ever. It was going to take a while for Yoongi to get over this and the younger was willing to help him through it all the way, whatever it takes.
Yoongi genuinely believed that him and Kang Sera were in love.
It had been a couple nights that Yoongi had stayed at Jimin's place after classes. He would cry to his heart's content, while Jimin tried to calm him down, but nothing Jimin said seemed to help. Yoongi was so pitiful and broken.
When nothing seemed to work he finally asked, "Did you ever let her explain herself? Maybe she had a good reason for it." Jimin didn't believe his own words, but he hated seeing his best friend this way. He was willing to suggest anything that would help the older.
Yoongi nodded, rubbing his bloodshot eyes. "I texted her back today. She said she only did it to be casted in a better role for the show and that there were no feelings involved, but I still just don't know." He let out a long sigh, "It still not okay with me. It still feels so wrong."
Jimin nodded his head slightly and averted his eyes away from the older. He couldn't believe what he was about to suggest. "Maybe you should talk to her. In person, I mean. I think you should give her another chance." Yoongi considered this for a moment.
"Yeah... You're right."
Why am I so pitiful? Jimin thought.
-----------------
A couple days past after Jimin's suggestion and honestly, things grew worse.
After Yoongi approached Sera, offering her another chance, things backfired when she decided to end things.
Sera, being the biggest manipulator on planet Earth accused Yoongi of "not being able to trust her", making the blonde feel ten times worse about everything. If Yoongi was a mess before, he's a complete train wreck now, and Jimin felt like he was partially to blame.
Now he's back at the brunette's apartment, just like before, crying about Kang Sera, but this time it's much worse. Something about knowing that it's really over is devastating for Yoongi, but Jimin can't help but feel a slight bit relieved. Though, seeing Yoongi in this state hurts him too.
"Yoongi, please stop crying. I hate seeing you this way" Jimin pleaded.
Between quiet sobs, Yoongi looked up at the younger and whimpered, "Please help me Jimin, I don't know how to move past this. I just want to forget for a little bit."
Jimin was genuinely willing to help the older in any way that he could. "Just tell me what I can do to help you, Yoongi. I'll do anything" he whispered, gripping Yoongi's hand and giving it a tight squeeze.

Yoongi stared back at him, then glanced down at their interlocked hands. His face changed from one of helplessness to one of thinking, and maybe subtle... desire. "Anything?" he queried. He squeezed Jimin's hand back.
Jimin nodded slowly in response, unsure of what the older could mean.
"Jimin, will you help me?"
"Yes."

If this story is seeming a little rushed, I promise that there is a reason for it. We gotta get to the main plot! I'm also very aware that Yoongi's character is very dramatic. This is no way resembles him in real life, and I'm aware.
Prepare yourselves for the next chapter. You're not ready. I'm also not ready.
Vote, comment, and let me know what you think!
