Blood, sweat, and tears carved trails into the small girl's tired body. She was still attached to the ceiling, they had forgotten to take her down before they left.

She tried to pull herself up by her arms, but only succeeded in sending fresh spasms of pain up her back. She winced.

Screams filled her ears. At first she thought they were her own screams, but her mouth was shut. The screams were also clearly male. They filled her with something she had never known before, joy.

Another little girl opened the door. She was holding a bloody wooden stake in one hand. She had long raven hair that went down to her thighs and light gray eyes.

"You're free," was all the girl said. The chains vanished and the first girl collapsed onto the floor.

The dark haired girl walked away but left the giant doors open.

Cata woke up in her own bed, clothed in her purple night gown and black panties. She got up and put on her gray hoodie and dark blue jeans. She slipped her black converse on as well.

She stumbled into Subaru's room. He was laying face down on his bed. Cata walked over and brushed his hair away from his eyes.

Subaru reached up took her wrist in his hand.

"Good evening," Cata smiled softly.

"What's wrong with you?" Subaru asked.

"What?" Cata tried to take her hand back but Subaru pulled her down on top of her with one sharp jerk.

Cata blushed. Subaru bit her neck. It hurt more than usual, like he was intentionally hurting her.

"Subaru what are you doing?"

He broke away for a moment to look at her. His eyes were hard and angry.

Cata's eyes widened. She had been dreaming last night... But she still hurt...

Cata climbed off of Subaru, "I have to go talk to Reiji..."

She felt so stupid, there was no way Subaru liked her, and an even less chance he took her. She remembered reading somewhere that women could orgasm in their sleep, like a wet dream for girls.

Cata knocked on Reiji's door. He called her in. She opened the door to see Michiko sprawled out on Reiji's bed. Her hair surrounded her like a black halo and she was clearly naked beneath the blanket.

Reiji was sitting his chair sipping tea like always, "You had another dream, didn't you?"

Cata nodded and recounted the dream of the two girls to Reiji.

"Hmm..." Reiji set down his tea, "It is a great honor in the world of vampires to kill someone you love the most, the girl probably killed her father. That means there is at least one member of the family left, possibly more. The only question was why she let y-the other girl... Let the other girl go free."

Cata was too distraught by her dream if Subaru to pay attention to Reiji.

"Cata, is something wrong?"

Cata flinched away from Reiji's touch. She realized her face must have been bright red, "It's nothing..."

Reiji could tell she was lying. He narrowed his eyes but dismissed the problem.

"I'll have to do a bit of researching," Reiji stroked his chin, "Let me know if you have anymore dream."

Cata nodded and left, with one last glance at the sleeping Michiko. She ran back to her room and cried herself back to sleep.

The girl ran as far and fast as she could, never looking back. She ran until her legs gave out and she found herself in a strange alleyway.

She crawled into a cardboard box and went to sleep.

"Oh dear, look honey," a sweet woman's voice said.

"It's just a dead dog," the girl opened one of her eyes to see a woman leaning over her and a man standing next to her talking into a device in his ear.

The woman jumped back as the little girl sat up, "It's a young boy!"

The man put away his devise and looked at her.

A boy? The girl reached up to show them her long long hair. Tears welled up in her eyes. There was no hair, only some fuzz on her scalp.

The woman reached down and wiped away her tears, "Don't cry, little one."

"Darling, get away from him!" The man insisted, "I don't think he means you any harm, but he might have some kind of disease. Let's just call the authorities."

"But he's hurt," the woman broke free of the man's grasp and picked the girl up, "and besides, you know we have always wanted kids..."

The man saw the loving look his wife gave the strange child, "Fine, what shall we call him?"

"Hakken..."

Cata was jolted awake by distant thunder. She looked out the window to see it was still night, and her phone told her it was 4am. Cata groaned and rolled over, pulling her blanket over her head. She was just about to fall back asleep when she remembered she had to tell Reiji her dream.

Cata was still fully clothed from earlier, she still even had her shoes on. When she went into Subaru's room, he wasn't there.

He doesn't love you, it was just a dumb dream, Cata thought. She shook her head and continued to Reiji's room.

Cata was about to knock on the door when a loud moan made her stop. She quickly figures out what was going on and went back to her room.

She wrote down her dream to tell Reiji later and crawled back into bed.

The next time Cata woke up, the sun was setting and it was dusk.

She flung her blanket and covers off and sprinted to Reiji's room. Cata shoved his door open, but no one was there.

Cata ran all around the mansion until she found everyone in the game room downstairs.

"Reiji!" Cata gasped and everyone turned to look at her, "I figured out who the girl in my dreams is. She's me!"
