Caroline's POV :

"Nick speak !!" I pleaded.

"Everything happened because of me. I shouldn't have left you both alone that night. It was too late for you both to go alone. Shit !!" Saying this he started cursing himself.

"No Nick this isn't because of you. Don't blame yourself. Please. "

Alec came and hugged Nick , trying to console him . While Angel was with Hannah.

I turned to see Jordan. He sat there just like a stone . No movement , no reaction , nothing !!! He was shocked.

I went to him , to console him. Just then Shane came inside.

"Hey guys whassup ? You....." And he trailed off seeing our faces.

"What happened ?" He asked concerned.

"Caroline are you fine ?" He came and asked me .

"Yes. Just help me out. "

"Tell. Anything for you."

"Take Jordan to his house and don't leave him alone."

"But why ? What happened?"

"No questions now Shane . Please do as I say. "

"Kay."

And he took Jordan with him. Before he went , Hannah looked at Jordan and they both had an eye lock . But then Jordan went away and Hannah continued sobbing .

She always blamed herself for Jenny's death. She couldn't get over all these for nearly 1 year .

"Angel take Hannah to her room please and Alec you go with Nick." Aron said.

"No. I will go with Hannah. " Nick said and took Hannah to her room.

"Alec and Angel you both even take rest. Am there with princess ." Aron said .

After they went away to their rooms , I fell their crying. I couldn't control myself. The fight between Hannah and Jordan was increasing and it painted me to see Hannah like that. Moreover the memories of that night made me even more scared.

Aron picked me up bridal style and carried me to my room. He laid me on the bed and sat beside me.

"Sleep. " He said .

"I cannot Aron . How can I ....."

"Sshhh !!! Don't speak. Just relax. Close your eyes and try to sleep ."

I kept my head on his lap and he caressed my hair. I cannot say that it was peaceful bit atleast doing this protected me from the harsh realities of life.

After sometime ......

I woke up. I couldn't even remember when I fell asleep.

I sat on the bed to see Aron sleeping.
It was nearly 12 pm but still we were sleeping just because we were hell tired because of all that crying.

Just then I heard a beep sound. I unlocked my phone to check the message.

"Hey bitchy bitch !! Enjoying your day ?"

Who's this ? It was from a private number.

"Who's this ?"

"Your friend dearie ."

"Ohh shut up. Just say who are you and what do you want ."

"So eager to know. Well you know me very well and answer to your second question , I want your destruction. Not only yours , but your and Aron's destruction. "

"But why ?" I texted back.

I waited for 5 mins , 10 mins but the person didn't reply.

Thus frustrated me even more.

First of all Hannah and Jordan's relationship is in danger and now this person messaging me .

I decided to think about it later and got up to check upon Nick and Hannah .

I entered to Hannah's room to find them peacefully sleeping.

I was relieved. I went to the kitchen counter to prepare some tea.

Another message popped on my phone screen . I thought it was from the same person. But it was from another private number.

"Hey beautiful !! Don't worry !! Everything will be fine. And if everything isn't fine , I will make everything fine. Because I love you Caro . ❤️❤️"

The message sent a shiver down my spine. I was shocked. What is happening ? First that number blackmailing me and now this person saying that he loves me .

Just then Aron came and hugged me from behind , breaking my trail of thoughts.

"Baby are you fine now ?" He asked.

"No am not . " I said sadly .

"Why princess ? Don't worry everything will be fine. "

"Aron I want to tell you something."

"Hmm tell ."

"I received..... " Just then the doorbell rang .

"Lemme check ." Aron said and went to open the door .

I went outside. I saw Jordan and Shane.

They came to us and sat on the sofa.

"Umm Caro ?" Jordan said.

"Yes ."

"Where's Hannah ?"

"In here . Her room ."

"Is she alone ?"

"No Nick's there. "

"Am sorry Caro. I really am. Am such a bad boyfriend. When my girlfriend needed me the most , I left her alone. "

"Don't worry Jordan. I understand . It wasn't easy for you. But am glad you realised the truth . You and Hannah are made for each other. "

"Can u talk to her ?"

"Yes ."

"Wait lemme call Nick outside ." Said Aron.

We waited outside when Nick came out. Jordan and Nick hugged each other , consoling each other.

Then Aron took Nick to his room and Jordan went to Hannah's room .

"Caro ? " Shane said.

"Ya ?"

"Can you come outside ?"

"Now ? No Shane . I need to go to Nick ."

"Please Caro . Just for few minutes . "

"But why ?"

"Just come ."

"Ok."

We went to the lawn and sat on the bench.

Then Shane , sat down on his knees infront of me.

"You can sit here dude ." I said pointing the bench.

"Umm no."

"Fine "

Then he put his hands inside his pocket and took out a box .

He opened it , revealing a big diamond ring.

"What is this ?" I asked.

"Caro will you be my girlfriend ?"

"What ?" I shouted and stood up .

"Have you gone crazy Shane ? You know right am in a relationship with Aron and we both love each other. "

"But Caro I can love you more than him. I really love you. Please be mine. I cannot stop thinking about you , since the first day I saw you. "

"Sorry Shane. This isn't happening. " Saying this , I started walking towards the hall .

"You don't want Jordan to leave Hannah right ?" He said shouting , stopping me mid way.

"What !!!!!"
