Chapter 3

This is one of my favorite pics of Copter just because it highlights his dimples which enhance his already overloaded cuteness.

Third Person POV

Copter sighed as he let himself into his unit. He only had a week left out of his two week vacation and even though his plans to go on that cruise did not push through, he still enjoyed the stress-free days of being his own boss. Once he had to report back to his boss Mr. Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert, his world would again start spinning like a top. Not that Mr. Ritprasert was a very demanding boss, it was just because his position as the CEO of the largest chain of pharmaceutical companies in the country entailed a lot of important urgent tasks for which he definitely needed Copter's assistance.

To compound his already complicated hectic world, he had to get ready to accompany Mr. Ritprasert to Amsterdam where they had to attend the international convention of pharmaceutical companies. It was going to take place on the second week of next month which was not too far away from now.

Copter sighed again.

Copter wondered how his boss was coping without him. True, the Human Resources Department had hired a temp to take over his two weeks leave but he was sure there were some important little things that the temp would not know about and which Copter had not had the time to tell her about during the one day orientation that he had given her.

Oh well, no point worrying about that. He had to start preparing the ingredients for his green curry vegetable recipe.

For those who don't know him, yeah, that's Mr. Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert who played one of the two leading characters in Until We Meet Again.

Copter put a midsize sauce pan onto the stove and poured some coconut milk into it before turning on the flame. Then he took out a slab of tofu from his fridge and cut them up into bite size squares.

After dropping the tofu squares, carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, broccoli and spinach leaves into the boiling coconut milk, he waited for the coconut milk to boil again before stirring in the green curry paste.

When it was ready to eat, he took out some brown rice from the cooker which he had cooked before going out to shop for the ingredients that he needed and which he had kept on warm mode.

As he sat down to enjoy his favorite dish, he wondered when he would bump into Fluke again. He seemed to be an interesting character and he looked really cute. Copter also thought that Fluke seemed to be good friend material.

*********

At the Eucalyptus International Pharmaceuticals the following morning, Mr. Kimmon Varodom had just settled in his large and comfortable office chair behind the huge mahogany desk when his intercom buzzed.

It was the receptionist at the lobby.

"Good morning, sir," she said, "there is someone here who says that Mrs. Wongcherin sent him to you for an interview."

"Send her up to my office right now," Mr. Varodom said.

About time, thought Kimmon. Mrs. Wongcherin had taken longer than usual to get him the personnel he needed for his office. What was wrong with her.

Kimmon had been so lost in his thoughts that he had not  realized that the receptionist had said "him" instead of "her", so when the soft knock came and Kimmon said "Enter", he was not prepared for the potential secretary/personal assistant who walked into his office.

Kimmon did not even invite Fluke to sit on the chair from across his desk. Instead he put up an index finger to signal "wait' and then picked up his phone and turned his back to Fluke.

As soon as Mrs. Wongcherin took his call, "What in bloody hell!" he bellowed into his phone at Mrs. Wongcherin.

Fluke stood still where he was but he was quaking in his shoes at the loud and angry voice of his potential boss.

"What do you mean, what in bloody hell?" Mrs.Wongcherin was just as angry.

"I asked you to send me a secretary/personal assistant, not someone to replace me!"

"He is not there to replace you, dumbass!" Mrs. Wongcherin was the only one who could call Kimmon dumbass and get away with it. "He is there to be your new secretary/personal assistant! I figured that a male personal assistant would last longer with you than a female one! No more female secretaries being all sensitive to your yelling or female secretaries falling in love with you, or female secretaries whose jealous boyfriends or husbands keep interrupting their work because they're scared that you will snatch them from their respective partners. Now tell me that hiring a male secretary/personal assistant is a bad idea."

Kimmon wanted to kick himself. Why hadn't he thought of that. He owed Mrs. Wongcherin a big apology.

"Don't go straight home after office, Sonia," said Kimmon.

"Why?" Sonia asked in a perplexed tone.

"I'm taking you out to dinner at your favorite restaurant as a token of apology and to thank you for never giving up on me," Kimmon said sincerely.

"That would be wonderful," Mrs. Wongcherin said.

Mrs. Wongcherin sighed. If she had not been happily married to Mr. Wongcherin, Sonia knew that she would be among the countless people worshiping at Kimmon's feet.

After ending the call to Mrs. Wongcherin he turned around to face Fluke and put on the smile that was meant to charm even the most cold-blooded competitor in his business.

He extended his arm across his mahogany desk to Fluke, saying, "I'm sorry for my earlier outburst. There was some misunderstanding for which I'm entirely to blame."

Fluke accepted Kimmon's hand saying, "It's alright. You're the boss. You're entitled to angry outbursts if important mistakes have been made."

Hmmmm...... Kimmon was starting to like this young man already. He liked his logic. He liked... he liked his face, his very pleasant, good looking face...

"Please sit down," Kimmon said, unable to take his eyes off Fluke.
