"Alright class, today we will be summoning your spirit animals, there are three classes. A class, B Class and D class. These classes define the strength of your Spiritual presence, it is possible to have multiple spiritual animals however it will be hard to control them all so we will be using these cards. The animals will be in a sleep state when entered into these and it will be used as a way to let multiple rests at the same time. However these can be broken, if your spirit is broken and the spirit animals will be returned to your spiritual consciousness and forced to rest for a few days until your spiritual energy is back to a safe level. Spirit animals can feel things like humans however, no human has been able to give the spirits a mind of their own, only extremely powerful people can do this and it is not been seen for 300 years.
A rank class spirits are the strongest of all the spirits it is impossible to have a strong enough core to bond with more than one, this class feed off the innocence and purity of a person, more than one of these can cause fatal wounds or death.
B rank class spirits are weaker than a rank but can be strengthened through will and desire. the stronger your desire the stronger they get, these spirits are easier to bond with but hard to control as they can go feral depending on their response to your will if you desire to kill, they will if you desire to destroy something, they will.
D rank class are the weakest ranks, they feed off of your happiness and love. They do better paired up with another spirit handler and are extremely easy to control. They will not fight unless your life is in danger, as they believe that conflict is unnecessary but when they get serious they can be on par with B ranks.
C rank class spirits are relatively unknown as no one has ever bonded with one which is why we classify them as D ranks all we know is that a C rank will have a pattern on his body, these are extremely rare and as powerful as A ranks but can cause issues as they are stubborn and easily triggered.
If you could please move the tables and create this summoning circle on the board you can start trying to summon them." The teacher said Yeosang was worried, As of now he has not shown any signs of spiritual ability and has been ridiculed and bullied for it. If he fails this summoning then he fails the class and this class is mandatory in this academy.
The tables started to move and Yeosang grew increasingly worried. People started using the summoning salt to create the circle and Yeosang just stood there shaking. The teacher must have noticed as he approached him and pointedly stared at him before handing him a cup of summoning salt. Yeosang took a deep breath before starting to make his circle.
" Alright class, we will summon one now and then take a break before seeing if any of you have any more. " The teacher said Yeosang started sweating and shaking as he finished the circle. His classmates cheered and started practising. Yeosang was so nervous he didn't remember what to do so he watched the other students practice. They all were muttering under their breaths and he couldn't catch what they were saying. He sighed frustrated with himself and stared at his circle. He was so lost that he just muttered random things.
"I summon thee in the spirit of my soul"
"Soul spirit I plead you to show"
None of them worked so he started singing.
He sang under his breath but it worked, his circle started to glow a soft blue, he continued to sing and the light grew brighter. He smiled to himself and continued singing. Finally, the light shot out as everyone else's did and there stood his spirit animal. He smiled at the deer, the deer huffed in his direction before stepping out of the circle and walking towards him and scenting him. He hugged the neck of the animal and giggled. The animal was pretty large its head was an inch above his but its fur was soft and Yeosang felt like home.
"Mr Kang, congratulations you have a D rank spirit animal," the teacher said with a smile as he patted yeosangs shoulder. Yeosang wasn't even bothered that it was a D rank but his face flushed as people started laughing and calling him names because of it. He felt so embarrassed and started to tear up, the spirit animal picked up on his unhappiness and snorted at it. The animal disappeared afterwards as he feeds on happiness and that just made Yeosang want to cry more. He thought that the animal wouldn't show up again so he ran out of the classroom. He ran all the way to the forest at the edge of the school's grounds and cried as he leant against a tree pretty deep in the forest.
As he cried his emotions called to the animals in the forest and they all approached him to give him comfort, These were the first signs of Yeosangs spiritual magic. He looked up and smiled at the animals, a few rabbits came to sit on his lap and he smiled wider at them. He happily stroked their fur as other animals rested a little aways from him, even the predators are sitting with him and not hunting the prey. Then the spirit animal returned, Yeosang smiled at it making it chuckle the next thing it did shocked Yeosang. It spoke.
"Ignore those people, they don't understand that true power is emotions, thank you for summoning me, now I'm hungry and want to play so let's make you happy again," it said in a deep voice. Yeosang smiled brighter and stood up after shifting the rabbits off his lap. All the animals got up and started playing with him and his spirit animal. He grew happier almost immediately and the spirit animal started to glow. As the spirit animal stopped the light grew brighter and Yeosang shifted his eyes away.
"they're waiting for you," The deer said and behind him was other spirit animals in the light Yeosang gasped and bowed to them. "what's your name?" he asked the spirit deer and he chuckled. "I'm mingi," he said and Yeosang nodded. "thank you mingi," Yeosang said and the deer bowed before disappearing in the light. Where he once stood was soon overrun with the animals as they started to leave. he smiled and waved to them earing bows and thanks.
Yeosang stayed in the forest as he waited for the break to end and when the bell rang he headed back towards the school. He was more determined and in his mind, he could see eight men smiling at him with animal features. He was confused but he felt warm with them so he didnt get on alert. As he entered the class the teasing started again but he ignored them and returned to his circle.
"alright class this last summoning will show if you are capable of holding multiple bonds with other spirit animals. Please repeat the process as before but this time hold your hands together in a clenched ball around this necklace. " The same teacher replied. With his newfound determination, Yeosang was the first student to receive his necklace. He clenched it tightly and returned to his circle, he fixed it but something told him to change it a bit so he did he added more symbols and intricate lines before being pleased. He smiled and started his song, the other students started to and soon chants filled the room.
He was singing for a while before the light started glowing but so did his eyes, this startled the class and they froze to watch. one by one the animals mingi showed him appeared. Mingi was the first, then a few big cats and a horse along with a wolf and finally a nine-tailed fox. The teacher stuttered with his jaw dropped as he approached Yeosang.
"congratulations yeosang you have more than one spirit animal, holy spirits you also have every rank. " The teacher spoke as if he was a robot not taking his eyes of the group of spirit animals. The small bobcat approached the teacher and snagged the cards out of the man's hand earning another jaw drop and stutter fest from him.
"They even have their own minds " with that the teacher fainted.
The spirit animals entered themselves into the cards and yeosang picked them up. He kept his eyes on the teacher. However, one student wasn't too happy about it and dragged yeosang out by the collar and threw him into the wall of the school building. Yeosang gasped for air and collapsed only to receive, multiple kicks and punches to his body. He was afraid so he let it happen but a soft warmth on his back made him look at it and saw the cards glowing, he cried and covered them smothering the glow and continued to receive the kicks.
"give me your cards, I'm the strongest student so I have to have the right spirits!!" the bully yelled and screamed making Yeosang wince, his tears fell more as the student threw him off the wall and cards and greedily started to chat to them and kissing them, Yeosang cried harder as he felt weaker but the psychotic glint in the bullies eyes made him defensive. He glared and the cards glowed and the wind picked up. The spirits managed to get out of the cards and surround Yeosang while the forest animals also approached to stand by Yeosang. He felt protected and calmed down, the bully smirked and thought they were on his side so started to order them about but they didn't move.
" you don't order us around," a soft voice said, it was one of the tigers that spoke. "we only obey the one who summoned us" the other tiger spoke. Yeosang smiled and let them talk.
" you hurt our spiritual master and you shall be given two choices. " it was the bobcat this time and he held authority.
The other students and teachers approached and watched the situation, excited chatters and phones recording, the situation grew bigger.
"I don't care, I'm the strongest and I demand you to obey me!!" the bully said.
"obey you say, is that what they're teaching you, incompetent masters, we don't listen to your orders nor do we obey you, we are your protectors, we give the orders, we controlled our actions, many spirits have returned to the spirit realm beaten and abused by their masters, forced to battle until they collapse with exhaustion. We may be named spirit animals but we are also emotional beings, we have a physical body that can be bruised and physical attributes that leads to exhaustion, we heal faster but that doesn't mean we feel pain. We have our own customs, our own rules and ur own community. We protect that provided us with comfort, food and work. We are not props to be traded, al spirits are connected by a bond not by magic, for us to obey you, you must be in an emotional situation that calls upon us." the horse spoke
" you have harmed our spirit master and our bonded therefore you will pay, your spirit will not heed your call so don't even try." the nine tailed fox spoke. Yeosang was happy and he knew they felt it. The smile on his face was bug and he dismissed the forest animals not wanting them to be hurt if a fight breaks out.
The bully hesitated and cursed before starting to shoot magic at Yeosang each time neutralised by the spirit animals.
"we've warned you" the mingi said and the wolf chuckled.
"his powers need stripping, that show him. the wolf said and the rest agreed. they all got into a formation and started glowing with magic before t shot to the boy. the light encased him and he screamed with over exaggeration before being dropped.
"my my magic!!" he said before running off.
"if you ever need us, call us we will always be by your side just say our names as well come, those cards are useless anyways." the bob cat spoke and Yeosang nodded.
"hongjoong" the bob cat said before disappearing
"seonghwa" the horse said
"yunho" the wolf said
"san" the more masculine tiger said.
"mingi" mingi said before leaving.
"wooyoung" said the more feminine tiger.
"jongho, we hope to here from you soon even though your not in danger." the nine tailed fox said.
Yeosang smile as he watched them disappear before saying tank you in his mind. He got hums and purrs in return. he stared out into the forest as the crowd disappeared.
