Your presence lit up the darkness within me
And I found myself addicted to you,
Longing to be near you

Your words, your poetry, they were like a hope to my soul
I found hope in you
You showed me that there was beauty even in the darkest of times

Your presence has changed my life
I was lost
You made me believe that there was something worth living for

And as I gazed into your eyes,
I knew that I could never look at anyone the way I look at you
I am forever grateful
For having been given the chance
To share this life with you
