Prologue

Har pal dil mein adhoorapan sa hai
Bhatke tanha, banjara jeevan hai
Main hoon kya bas, ek aadha aasmaan
Naa rakh paaun faasla darmiyaan

(Every moment, there is an incompleteness in the heart,
The heart wanders alone, the life is that of a wanderer.

Clutching her bag for the third time, she shut her eyes tightly, "You can do this Khushi.. never give up easily in your life!"

Giving the necessary encouragement to herself, she turned her feet into the direction of AR.. the direction of her life now!

As usual she greeted the guards and went inside, greeting the receptionist on the way with her chirpy smile, "Good morning ji!"

The receptionist busy in her work, glared at Khushi and resumed her work.

"Even his employees are like him!" Khushi muttered to herself and had few talks with employees who are her friends now then she went upstairs, on the way... to his cabin! Once she feared this same man, but now she's back again to face him and defeat him in his own game! Gone was that fear, when he dared to play with her life just to revenge on her!

She knocked on the door and waited for his reply. 

"Come in.." she got the permission after few seconds and opened the door.

She turned to him and walked near his table all the while staring right into his eyes, not even for once she averted her eyes from him. Her eyes were filled with confidence and courage to fight back with this man who thinks he can buy people with his money, who intimidates people to dance on his tunes, who doesn't care about anyone and does every disgusting thing to satisfy his ego. But not anymore, because she will show him what Khushi Kumari Gupta is now!

Khushi came all prepared with more confidence and determination to fight back for her rights, but the changes weren't just on her side. His chocolate dark brown eyes who are always filled with hatred and disgust for the middle class girl he always kept finding ways and words to insult, now found a new feeling - guilt! Yes, guilt.. ASR, felt something different inside him, the one who is arrogant, cruel, rude and ruthless to everyone except his family and especially his Di, found his heart melt when because of him, a girl named Khushi, whom he hates just by her sight, got hurt.. well almost lost her life because of him, if he didn't came to save her in time.

"You might be thinking that after your almost successful plan to finish me once and for all.. I'm here to handle my resignation letter for you and accept my defeat, right?" Khushi asked smirking, she crossed her arms, "Well, sorry to inform you that none of what you had thought is true because I'm not going to give you the chance to taste victory so soon Sir!"

Arnav frowned wondering what rubbish is she talking about, does she really think he wants to take her life away?

"What rubbish Khushi.." he immediately reacted gritting his teeth.

"It's Miss. Gupta for you!" Khushi narrowed her eyes.

Arnav sighed knowing that she has fitted in her mind that he purposely sent her to that collapsing building to kill her and no matter what he explains to her, she's not going to listen to his words.

His heart somewhere find relief to see her fit and fine now, but his mind liked the challenging woman standing in front of him. He's ASR after all, he never loses a challenge in his life and seeing Khushi so confident and determined to defeat him, woke up the devil inside him and he's going to have some fun with Miss Gupta now, it seems!!

"Well then.. Welcome to AR, Miss Gupta!" Arnav smirked.

"Won't you call it hell today Sir?" she looked around his cabin smirking, "Ya maine aapki hell ko Jannat bana diya? (Or I turned your hell to paradise?)"

Arnav smirked hearing her, oh what a comeback.. he admits! But never in front of her..

"I will call it AR now only, because this time not this place, I will be HELL tough with you!" he said huskily.

"Itna bara office ko hell se Jannat bana diya, app toh Chote hi hai.. (I managed to turn such a big office from hell to paradise, then you're only Chote)" Khushi giggled.

"Ab dialogue marna bandh karo, aur kaam par diyhaan do Miss Gupta! (Now stop giving dialogues and concentrate on your work Miss Gupta!)" Arnav gritted his teeth.

"App kaam de tab na Sir (When you give me work to do na Sir)" Khushi smiled.

"Lavanya will handle work to you, now out of my cabin.." he glared at her.

"Okay Sir.." Khushi nodded and walked to leave, when she reached at the door she looked back at him, "Sir kaam to ek bahana tha na, app mujhse darr gaye na (Sir work was just an excuse, right? You got scared of me!).. Shall we make you sign a contract of being my employer for 15 days? If you lose the challenge, then you pay me 1 lakh!"

"Miss Gupta you're.." Arnav stood up angrily from his seat and Khushi left from there running and laughing at his face.

"Chamkili what happened? Have you gone mad because you lost the challenge to ASR and now you will have to pay him an amount that middle class girl like you can not even dream about it?" Lavanya smirked bumping into Khushi at the corridor.

"Lavanya ma'am Sir asked me to come to you to give me work for the day.." Khushi said with a smile adorning her face.

Just this simple information was enough for Lavanya to understand that Khushi didn't resign from work as her loyal employees, Sim and Pam had gossiped to her.

Just then Lavanya's phone rang and she attended it excusing herself, while Sim and Pam were whispering to themselves with confused expression standing little far from Lavanya and Khushi trying to eavesdrop their conversation. They were excited to watch Lavanya humiliating Khushi, but nothing of that sort happened and they got shocked to know that Khushi didn't give her resignation letter to ASR.

Khushi walked to both and hugged both sideways, "It's not good to keep gossiping around Sim ji and Pam ji, see the result is this wrong information to your ma'am who will get very angry on you both!"

Sim and Pam gulped imagining Lavanya's wrath on them.

Khushi giggled at their faces, then her mind traveled to few minutes back before she went to Arnav's cabin. She felt Sim and Pam were following her curiously, so she took out some random papers from her bag and spoke aloud that it was her resignation letter and she would finally leave this office once and for all. After dramatically sharing all fake information to Sim and Pam, she went upstairs to Arnav's cabin.

"Lavanya don't give heavy works to her today.. she had recovered from that accident recently.." Lavanya heard him order her.

"And you care about that ASR?" she asked in disbelief.

"She's also an employee of AR!" as far as she knows this man, he must be gritting with his teeth with a frown adorning his face annoyed by her question.

"A mere employee like others are ASR, you never called me before to be generous to your employees, why now? Why HER?" Lavanya asked.

"Lavanya you better not question me again and do as I say!" he said.

"Alright.." she said and hang up the call.

Lavanya turned to Khushi, "Chamkili, there are some boxes that needed to be shifted to my new cabin, ASR himself called me to give this work especially to you.."

The peon came with one big and heavy box and Lavanya signaled him to leave it.

"ASR granted a leave for you all today, because your work will be done by Chamkili, today right?" Lavanya smirked staring at Khushi.

Khushi looked away, shutting her eyes tightly, "Are you a human or a beast Arnav Singh Raizada?"

Note: The story starts after the building incident, what if Khushi doesn't resign from her job and fight back with Arnav?
