Chapter 9 - The letter!

AR..
"Aman I need you to find another model in replacement of Sheetal.. Find me someone who's got talent and deserves to work for AR.." Arnav said irked with Sheetal's behavior.

"Will be done ASR.." Aman nodded and left his cabin.

Arnav was left alone, he leaned on his chair thinking how Khushi scolded him for being handsome man and make women throw themselves on him. He smirked.

Tearing a paper from his note book, he wrote something and folded it carefully.

Calling his peon, he handed it to his hand: Give this to Miss Gupta.

"Okay Sir.." the peon nodded and left from there to fulfill the task given by his Boss.

While Khushi was working on her cubicle, the peon came and handed the letter to her, "Sir sent this for you!"

Khushi took it curiously, "Thank you!"

Once he left, Khushi quickly opened it to read but frowned not getting a word that he wrote.

"Hey DM what kind of writing style is this? Even a kid writes better than this.. I can't understand anything yaar.." Khushi turned the paper upside down trying another way to read but it worsened the situation.

She took a magnifying glass and like a detective start examining Arnav's hand writing trying to understand something of what he wrote but she couldn't.

Suddenly someone took the letter from her hand harshly and she looked up to see who's that person.

She found Lavanya, Sim and Pam staring angrily at her.

"What's this?" Lavanya asked raising the letter on air and eyeing towards it.

"Aapko sach main nahin patha? (You really don't know?)" Khushi giggled.

"Of course I know it's a letter Chamkili.." Lavanya slammed her fist on Khushi's table making Khushi blink her eyes startled as she didn't expect this move from Lavanya.

"ASR sent this to you, right?" Lavanya asked dangerously.

Khushi nodded.

"Can I know why? What's going on between you both that he started sending letters to you?" Lavanya asked.

"Mujhe bhi nahin patha (Even I don't know)" Khushi shrugged, "I was trying to read what he wrote when you snatched the letter from me ma'am.."

"You won't even know what ASR wrote to you.." Lavanya smirked and took the letter with her leaving from there. Sim and Pam smirked evilly at Khushi, and followed Lavanya.

Khushi giggled, "Take it.. If I wasn't able to understand what Laad governor wrote, then what will you understand?"

She continued her work shaking her head in disbelief.

After lunch time..

After having lunch, every employee resumed their works as daily routine. Khushi was also going to complete checking few reports when Arnav passed from her angrily, "To my cabin Miss Gupta!"

"Abb maine kya kiya (Now what did I do?)" Khushi thought tiredly and followed him to his cabin.

After Khushi walked inside the cabin, Arnav closed the door and looked back at her, "Why didn't you came?"

Khushi looked at him confused, "Where Sir?"

"Where? I had written the restaurant name in that paper dammit!" Arnav gritted his teeth.

"Did you write something about restaurant in that paper? I was close to guess it.." Khushi punched her other hand in defeat.

"What the.. I invited you to have lunch with me at XYZ restaurant.. Why didn't you came?" Arnav twisted her arm behind her back pulling her closer to him, frowning, pissed off, annoyed and what not for waiting hours for her and she didn't show up.

"I couldn't understand anything you wrote in that paper.." Khushi pouted.

"What the.. Couldn't you ask me then? You didn't even said anything to me dammit.. Do you know I waited two hours for you in that damn restaurant like a fool?" Arnav shouted.

"Why are you shouting and getting angry on me? The fault is of that bakwas handwriting of yours that I couldn't even read even after using a magnifying glass. Can you believe it? I even turned the paper upside down thinking I'm reading it incorrectly but it just worsened! If I couldn't understand what you wrote then how could I've gone to that restaurant? In which era you're living in also? With advanced technology, couldn't you just send a message to my phone instead of writing letters with that illegible handwriting of yours? What is my fault in that? Then Lavanya ma'am also came and took that letter away from me.." Khushi scolded him.

Arnav looked away still pissed off. Khushi could read his expression, she also felt bad now.

"Acha sorry.. galti meri hi thi, tumhe jo saza dena mujhe manzoor hai (Okay sorry.. the fault is only mine, I accept any punishment you want to give me)" Khushi said trying to pacify him! She found herself strange, trying to pacify him. Does she even care if he gets angry on her or not? Right now she didn't have answers to the questions going on her mind, she just act accordingly to her heart!

Arnav looked back at her and she nodded innocently and cutely conveying him that she will accept his punishment.

Arnav smirked and went towards his table, he took his note book and tore again a paper from it, writing something on it as Khushi watched him with her curious eyes wondering what is he doing.

After he finished writing, he kept the pen back and handed the paper to her, "Your punishment!"

Khushi took the paper from his hand confused, "What's my punishment?"

"Without taking help from anyone, you will understand what I wrote in that paper and come back with answer of it by tomorrow!" Arnav said.

"Just one day, I will take one year to understand what you wrote here!" Khushi widened her eyes.

"One week then!" he said.

"Okay.." Khushi nodded pouting.

"Second punishment.."

"Laad governor maine toh sirf ek galti ki hai woh bhi mistake se, double punishment maat do mujhe (Laad governor I just did one mistake that too by mistake, don't give me double punishment)" Khushi complained looking away cutely.

"I want you to have dinner with me, because I skipped my lunch because of you!" Arnav said folding his arms.

"What? You didn't have your lunch yet?" the concern for him took over her.

"I was waiting for you dammit!" Arnav glared at her.

"Wait I will bring something for you from the canteen then.." Khushi walked to go downstairs when Arnav smacked the wall blocking her way.

Khushi gasped then turned to other side to escape but he placed his another hand on that side completely trapping her on the wall.

"Arnav ji.." Khushi whined staring at him with let me go look.

"Forget about lunch, I want answer to my invitation.. Will you come to have dinner with me or not?" he asked huskily but he didn't fail to notice that she called him "Arnav ji" instead of "Sir".

"Pehle lunch, dinner baat main sochenge (First lunch, then we will think about dinner)" Khushi said in scolding tone, he was being so careless about his health and that worried her. What if he faints just like that Teej day?

Arnav groaned, "Khushi answer me dammit!"

Khushi looked away.

"I don't have time to have lunch now, I have to leave for a meeting in just five minutes!" he explained.

"Then cancel the meeting! You're ASR and you can do it.." Khushi frowned.

"I can't.. It's important!" he answered curtly.

"There's nothing more important than your health!" Khushi shouted in disbelief.

Arnav looked at her surprised, then composed himself: Tumhe kya farak padta hai agar maine lunch kiya ya nahin? (Why do you care if I had lunch or not?)

Rabba vee.. Rabba vee..

"If you didn't have your lunch now, I won't come to have dinner with you!" Khushi glared at him.

Arnav took his phone calling Aman, he said glancing at Khushi: Yeah Aman postpone the meeting for half an hour..

He kept the phone back and Khushi left to the canteen to bring his lunch.

"Stubborn girl!" Arnav muttered to himself.

Why did I even accept her to order me?! He thought.

****************************************************************************

On the way to his cabin, Khushi thought: Why do I even care if he had his lunch or not?

She shrugged and continued walking when she noticed Akash walking all lost on his phone with a faint smile.

She curiously peeked to see what caught his attention like this and what she saw made her eyes go wide in shock, "Jiji?"

Akash turned to her startled, he gulped seeing Khushi's shocked expression: Khushi it's not what you're thinking..

"It's exactly what I'm thinking Akash sir.." Khushi said in suspicious tone.

"No!" Akash cried.

"Then why are you having Jiji's pictures on your phone? Don't try to fool me Akash sir.." Khushi pouted.

"Okay.. I.."

That's when Arnav walked out of his cabin and glared at Khushi, "I just have half an hour! Be quick!"

Khushi nodded and rushed to his cabin making Akash sigh in relief.

After watching Arnav having his lunch and then took his meds. Khushi smiled watching how cute he looked obeying her words.

She stood up taking the tray and walked to leave when Arnav reminded her of the dinner, "I will come to pick you by 8 pm!"

"Okay.." she smiled faintly and went downstairs.

****************************************************************************

"Aman just read it quickly!" Lavanya said impatiently.

"Did ASR wrote this?" Aman asked.

"Duh! That's why I'm asking you, because only you learned how to understand his handwriting.." Lavanya rolled her eyes.

Aman read it, then looked at her: He gave you this letter?

"Haan toh?" Lavanya raised her eyebrow to him.

"Don't try to fool me okay Lavanya.." Aman smirked and left from there without actually explaining to Lavanya what Arnav had written on the letter.

"Aman come back here.." Lavanya stomped her foot on the floor angrily.

Khushi passed by smiling thinking about Arnav. Lavanya pulled her back by her arm, "Did you find out what ASR wrote in that letter?"

"Nahin.. you took the letter na Lavanya ma'am, so you should know what Sir wrote in it not me.." Khushi shrugged.

Lavanya left Khushi angrily and went from there irritated throwing the letter on the floor.

Khushi bend down and took the letter from the floor, she smiled softly staring at his illegible handwriting.

"His handwriting is exactly like him, no one can understand both!" she shook her head folding the paper carefully and went towards her cubicle keeping it safely in her purse.

"That saying is right only.. Whatever is yours, comes back to you!" she smiled thinking that the letter was for her and came back for her!!

"I've the job to understand another letter of his.. but I won't read it here otherwise Lavanya ma'am will snatch it again from me.." she thought and kept the second letter on her purse also.
