Chapter 54 - The End!

2 months later
Mr. & Mrs. Raizada Mansion
Sunday

Arnav descended the stairs in his black track pant, brushing his hair with his fingers on the way to the kitchen.

"Good morning," he whispered walking closer to his wife, wrapping his one arm around her waist from behind while she cooked her favorite jalebis, he dropped a kiss on her neck, burying his face lazily on the crook of her neck later. The Saturday night was always filled with love, hence the next morning he would always wake up and cling to his wife.

"Good morning Arnav ji," Khushi smiled after composing herself from the sudden shiver she felt of his lips touch on her sensitive neck.

"Early in the morning.. Mrs. Raizada making jalebis!" he detached himself from her, walking to the fridge and took out a bottle of water.

"Stop taunting me! I didn't even eat jalebis these days," Khushi pouted, taking one jalebi from the plate, while she fried others.

"I did not say anything," Arnav shrugged, as he now stood beside her, pouring the water on his glass and drank it in one go, glancing at her glaring at him, from the corner of his eyes smiling slightly.

"Mrs. Raizada I'm falling short of clothes to wear because of you! Do you know that? You're always stealing my shirts! What will I wear in my office now?" he fake-complained to her, staring at her standing in front of him only in his white shirt, her hair tied in up in a cute bun. She looked beautiful in his clothes. He loved how she roams around their house, wearing his clothes only.

"AR's owner shouldn't be complaining about falling short of clothes to wear," Khushi narrowed her eyes at him.

"Oh really," he chuckled taking his coffee from the cabinet.

"Yes really," Khushi mimicked him, her eyes followed his moves, "Arnav ji I will make coffee for you. You don't need to do it," she frowned.

"I'm no baby Khushi.. I can make my coffee," he said, nearing the stove as he took out a pan from it to replace with the one he wanted to heat the water, without realizing that it was hot, "Shit.. dammit!" he swore as he quickly put the pan back to the stove, shutting his eyes tightly.

"Arnav ji," Khushi worriedly took him to the wash basin and quickly turned on the tap, letting the water flow on his fingers and soothe his pain, "Is it hurting a lot?" she asked with moist eyes.

Arnav shook his head, feeling much relieved after his fingers came in contact with the cold water. She caressed his bare back, staring at him concernedly.

"Come.. I'll apply ointment on your fingers," she whispered.

Khushi carefully applied the ointment on his fingers, blowing air on them time to time to soothe his pain, she looked up to him, "Is it hurting?"

"No!"

"Why do you have to be so stubborn? I told you that I would make your coffee.. but no, the great Arnav Singh Raizada always wants to-"

"Khushi don't start with lectures please.. It's not a big deal!" Arnav rolled his eyes.

Khushi widened her eyes surprised by his statement, "Wow.. Not a big deal! I want to see how will you eat, how will you touch your phone, how will press those burnt fingers of yours on your favorite darling laptop keyboard.."

"The pain is almost gone.. Of course I will be able to do my normal activities," he shrugged.

"Dare you do anything of that sort Mr. Raizada!" Khushi stood up, glaring at him warning him not to hurt himself in order to prove her wrong, "I'm going to make your breakfast. If you need anything, then call me. Don't move from here."

Arnav nodded his head like a baby, a sweet smile growing on his lips watching her disappearing figure.

"Good night Mr. It's not a big deal," Khushi said sarcastically, resting her head on her pillow, closing her eyes to sleep.

Arnav chuckled silently, "Good night!"

He stared at her laid on the bed, her eyes closed looking like an innocent angel. She might be angry with him for being stubborn in the morning, but she didn't let that anger overpower her care for him. Watching his every move silently, feeding him, playing his favorite series to watch to keep him entertained, taking care of his plants on his behalf, organizing his office schedule for Monday with him.. and even bathing him at evening, for which he fought with her for the second time in a day, stating that he was not a baby and she was exaggerating then.

He moved closer to her side of the bed and kissed her forehead softly, "I'm sorry Khushi-"

He didn't need to say further, she knew he was apologizing for their silly fights, hence she rested her head on his shoulder, burying her face on the crook of his neck.

"By the way.. You were right, it is a big deal," he circled his arm around her waist, "As my fingers burn.. I wouldn't be able to touch you properly during-"

"Shut up!" Khushi laughed, "Gutter mind!" he laughed with her.

Next Day

Arnav and Khushi walked in AR office. Khushi as usual went to greet her friend Manju, and Arnav went to his cabin. Aman and Akash followed him to the cabin.

"Welcome Aman Mathur!" Arnav smiled as he watched his friend walking in the cabin.

"Thank you!" Aman smiled widely.

"Bhai he came back from his honeymoon yesterday only and he's already up for work," Akash said impressed as the three took their respective seats.

Arnav couldn't help but chuckle silently at the flashback that played on his mind.

So how was the honeymoon Akash?

Only the last day was worth it!

What the.. Are you serious?

We almost missed the flight!

"Bhai," Akash whined, pleading him to keep quiet.

"I didn't say anything," Arnav pressed his lips to suppress the smile, "So how was your honeymoon Aman?"

Akash cried as Arnav repeated the same question to Aman, in order to tease him more.

"It was heaven," Aman sighed, smiling dreamily, "You know me and Jenny-"

"Enough.. We don't need details!" Arnav quickly cut his friend.

"Relax ya! I was saying we went to a beautiful beach!" Aman pouted.

Khushi walked in after knocking the door, she widened her eyes in surprise, "Aman!!!!! You here? You guys came back yesterday na? Where is Jenny?"

"Yes Bhabhi.. I'm here!" Aman smile as he stood up from his chair and went to hug her, "And your Jenny is at home.. she's tired.. so resting all day!"

"Oh that's okay.. We will meet each other later anyway," Khushi said.

"Yes.. Nani arranged for a family dinner to welcome us," Aman said happily.

"And please ask your friend to finish his work early so that we can join you guys for the dinner early also," Khushi said glancing teasingly at Arnav.

Aman giggled, "Sure!"

"Aman ask your Bhabhi to finish dressing up quickly, so that we can reach early also!" Arnav smirked at his dear wife.

"Haww.. I don't take time to dress up," Khushi pouted, "I take time only to choose what I should wear."

"Yeah right," he rolled his eyes.

Aman and Akash looked at each other and silently left the cabin.

"Of course.. Aman.. Akash ji he's lying to you," she looked behind to see no one, then walked towards his chair angrily, "See they left even before I could prove myself right!"

"Do you know why you've difficulties to choose what to wear? Because you keep roaming around the house with my office clothes.. Now you're getting used to it," he teased her, pulling her to his lap.

Khushi gasped, "That's not true!"

Arnav nuzzled her nose smiling, "It's true!"

"It's not," she whispered weakly, when he slowly nuzzled her cheek till he reached her sensitive neck.

"It is!" he mumbled now dropping slow moist kisses on her jawline.

Khushi bit her lips clutching his shoulder firmly, "Office!" she reminded him, pushing him back a bit, she got up from his lap, "We shouldn't mix professional and personal life, remember?" she asked, patting her chest lightly to calm her loud heartbeats.

"Who said that?" he asked annoyed.

"You!" Khushi glared at him.

"Maybe I was drunk that day.. Come here!" he tried to catch his butterfly again but she smartly escaped from his hold.

"You don't drink Laad governor," Khushi chuckled at his puppy look, "I'm going downstairs.. I've a lot of work today!" she said as she opened the door to leave.

Arnav nodded making a sad face, which made Khushi rush back to him to drop a loving sweet kiss on his cheek, as she ran towards the door and left his cabin.

Shantivan.
8:30 pm.
Living room.

"I bought few sarees and jewelry for you, Anjali, Payal, Lavanya and Jenny bitiya when I went to Lucknow last week. I was waiting for Jenny bitiya to return from honeymoon so that I could gift you all at the same time," Nani smiled happily, gesturing Manorama to bring their gifts from her room.

While Manorama rushed to Nani's room to get the gifts, Khushi and Buaji were asking Nani how was her trip to Lucknow.

Akash and Payal were chatting with the newly married couple, Aman and Jenny.

Lavanya and NK who decided to stay back in Delhi, as Arnav forgave Lavanya and accepted to work again with her and NK wanted to start a business of his own without having to depend on his parents. Forgetting all that happened in past, they were now lost in their own starting-to-fall-in-love world.

Shyam was complaining about Anjali to Arnav, and he was defending his sister.

In middle of all this happening, Khushi glanced at Arnav and he glanced back at her. They both smiled faintly. Their family was happily together despite everything they had faced in the past few months.

After the reality check Anjali got from Arnav and the conversation she had with Shyam, made her understand that she was wrong to think that Arnav moving on to another house meant that he was abandoning her or he didn't love her anymore.

She talked with Arshi and apologized for her reaction and behavior. And Arnav forgave her because the ASR in him may have found her behavior immature, but the Chote he hides from the world and buried inside him, understood why she thought he abandoned her, as he too felt the same when his mother left him and when she got married. The difference between them is that she expresses her feelings and reacts immediately in a situation, whereas he keeps his feelings for himself, bury them in his heart and doesn't let anyone reach close to his weak heart.

But now he changed a bit.. he let a special person take over his heart.. and he loves to share his feelings with her as well.. because he trusts her blindly!

"Khushi come.. Amma and Babu ji want to talk with you," Payal called out for her sister, standing in a corner talking with her parents over the phone.

Taking one last glance at her husband, Khushi rushed to her sister taking the phone from Payal, "Namaste Amma.. Yes, everything is fine.. How are you?.. Haan Amma.. Arnav ji is also fine and his office work is going good.. I take good care of him.. but why don't you ask the same to him? Shouldn't he take care of me as well?" she pouted while Payal nodded, agreeing with Khushi. Their mother seriously needs to stop this habit of thinking that only woman are supposed to love and care for their husbands, and only man should work and earn for the family.

"Namaste Babu ji.. How's your health now?.. I'm fine.. Arnav ji is also fine.." their talks went on and on till Arnav approached them, gesturing to Khushi that he wanted to talk with them.

After talking with Shashi and Garima, they went to the dining hall and had a peaceful, pleasant and joyful family dinner.

************************************************************************

Few days later..

"Wow," Arnav walked in his room and stood still amused, staring at the beautiful woman in front of him. She was supposed to be ready to attend one of their relatives marriage with Nani and Mami, but till now she wasn't completely ready yet looking so beautiful. He wondered what she was doing, walking here and there in their room, with a cutie frown adorning her beautiful baby face, her hazel eyes focused on searching for something he didn't know, obviously.

"Don't wow me now Arnav ji.. I lost my payal (anklets).. I don't know where I kept them.. I've been searching them for so long," Khushi searched under the bed, then looked back at him desperately, sobbing.

"What the.. Why are you crying for a anklet?" he frowned walking towards her, circling his arms around her waist and pulling her closer to him, "I'll buy another for you. It's okay if you lost it.."

"Nooo.. It's not okay. It's my favorite anklet.. You gifted me. There are a lot of memories attached to that anklet," she sobbed even more, beating him on his chest, for his heartless words.

Arnav cupped her face, sighing, "Oh my girl," he wiped away her tears, staring intently at her teary big cute hazel eyes, "I just love you so much!"

"Arnav ji I'm worried for my anklets and you're..." she widened her eyes when realization dawned upon her, her mouth was left open in 'O' shape. He smiled at her reaction.

"Arnav ji," she smiled feeling short of words, "You said..."

"Hmm," Arnav nodded smiling, "And yeah.. about your anklet.. then let me drop you, Nani and Mami at the hotel, then I'll come back home and search for it calmly.. maybe it's here-"

Khushi didn't let him speak further, as she placed her lips on him, for a passionate kiss.

When they broke the kiss, he rested his forehead against hers, "I love you too Arnav ji," she whispered, breathless.

"You didn't confess to me under any pressure, right?" she asked, once again to confirm.

"No.. I just realized if this is not love, then what it is? (Yeh Pyaar Nahin, Toh Kya Hai?)" he said in his husky tone.

Khushi smiled with teary eyes. It was so unexpected but the most beautiful love confession for her, because it came out naturally.. He didn't trained for it neither planned for it.. He just said what he felt like saying at the moment.

************************************************************************

"So after the beautiful unexpected I love you from my handsome Laad governor.. he decided to get married to me in a big fat Indian wedding just like the way I always dreamt of.. It was so beautiful.. every function was beautifully decorated.. our family members were so happy for us.. they did everything to make every event special for us.. And Arnav ji danced for me in our sangeet.. and I made a special dance for him on his fake bachelor party.. of course it's fake because he was already married to me.. I didn't let any other woman to get close to him.. He's only mine.. and yeah... my jalebis.. I wanted to do a diet to stay fit for the wedding day, but Arnav ji strictly denied.. He said that it doesn't matter if I'm thin or fat, he loves my beautiful heart.. he didn't fell in love with my body or external beauty (blushing deeply).. He even scolded me because I refused to eat my favorite jalebis.... and then my heart beat in unison with his when he filled my partition with vermilion, again.. this time not under any pressure and all.. this time he hugged me tightly and whispered I love you in my ears.. It was beautiful.. really beautiful moment in our lives.. I still can hear the dhak dhak.. I heard that day!" Khushi smiled, writing her feelings in a diary.

"Unbelievable!" Arnav muttered as he walked out of the bathroom and his sleepy lazy eyes fell on his wife writing in her diary that they bought few days ago on the bed, that too at midnight.

Khushi looked up to him and pouted.

"Can't you just start writing in your diary when we reach Delhi? Because right now, we're on our honeymoon.. and I don't think you should be wasting time like this," he laid on his side of the bed, pulled her closer to him and snatched the diary from her, keeping it at the side table.

Khushi cried cutely, "Arnav ji I didn't finish writing yet!"

"Let me give you content to write for the next chapter of your life," his husky voice reached her ears, making her shiver as she understood the meaning of his words.

He went to switch off the lights, and when he walked back to their bed, she hide herself under the blanket, glancing at him shyly making him smirk.

The End!
....

Thank you for all the love and support for this story!

Few things I wanted to say..

I tried to keep the characters of IPKKND same as of the show, but also show that they're humans and they do mistakes.. misunderstandings happens, you get upset, jealous or angry with your family members.. Everything is not always going to be perfect. I tried to show that everyone has flaws, even the main leads (Arnav and Khushi) of this story were not perfect.. they were not always the right one.

And about shifting to another house after marriage. You must have thought why Khushi didn't convince Arnav to stay back in Shantivan as she's the one who fights to keep a family united?.. At that moment they had through a misunderstanding that could have separated them, then they reconciled realizing how much they mean for each other and how difficult it is to stay away from each other.. at that moment, Arnav asked her to shift to another house and although little hesitant and unsure of the family's reaction, she didn't have heart to deny him. It was more about the moment and situation they were in.

And Anjali wasn't a negative character. I just saw that in the show Anjali was someone pampered by everyone in the family, she used to get upset with little things, while Arnav was a bit more mature than her. That's why I tried to show her jealousy over her brother choosing to spend his birthday with his wife and not with the family, or her making Arnav feel that he was doing a sin by leaving the house, he was breaking the promise he made to their mother. Not that she didn't like Khushi.. but she was getting affected by seeing her brother 'change'.. she just expressed herself in a wrong way, because creating a scene or emotionally blackmail someone is not the way to solve a problem.

And.. If I get any idea for epilogue, then I'll write it!
