Next morning nandini got up but was not able to move because of the sling on her hand. She looked towards manik who was sleeping so she didn't disturb him and tried to get up on her own.

She was almost successful but suddenly her free hand got hit by the side table and there was a loud noice due to which manik's sleep broke and when he saw nandini struggling in getting up he immediately got up and went to her side.

Man (worriedly): kya hua?

Nan: woh I need to go to washroom par iss sling ki wajah se I couldn't get up.

Man: toh mujhe utha sakti thi na lekin nahi tumhe toh sab kaam khud karna hai.

Nandini looked down and whispered a 'sorry'.

Manik huffed and helped her to get up and dropped her to the washroom telling her to infrom when she is done.

After sometime nandini was done so she called manik and manik picked her up and made her sat on the bed and was about to go when nandini hold his hand.

Nan: I am sorry manik please mujhse baat kijiye na please.

Man: nandini baat karne ko kuch nahi hai main kisi maid ko bhejta hu woh tumhe ready hone mein help karegi.

Nandini looked down and nodded and he went and after sometime a maid came who helped her to get ready while manik freshens up in guest room.

When he came back in room he saw nandini sitting there and maid was trying to make her eat but she was denying.

Manik sighs and enters the room.

Man: kya ho raha hai yaha?

Maid looked down without saying anything.

Nan: manik mujhe sabke saath naashta karna hai.

Man: nandini doctor ne tumhe bed rest bola hai.

Nan: ha toh bas neeche breakfast karne ke baad I'll rest.

Before manik could speak something raj bebe and arya entered the room with servants with their breakfast.

Bebe: aree humari bahu kuch mange aur woh pura na hi.

Raj: ha isliye aaj hum sab saath breakfast karenge.

Nandini smiled widely amd manik smiled seeing her happy but as soon as she looked towards him he hid his smile and sat on other side of bed and everyone sat on the couch and chairs kept there and start their breakfast.

But nandini was unable to eat by herself as on her right hand there was sling. Manik seeing her not able to eat snatched her spoon and fed her. Everyone smiled seeing them but frowns seeing manik not meeting eyes with nandini and nandini seeing manik with longing eyes.

After breakfast everyone went to their room to rest arya with raj went to pffice and manik decided to work from home.

Whole day passed like this manik was busy in his study working and nandini was resting. She tried alot to talk to manik but he was ignoring her.

It was night arya and raj returned and after dinner everyone dispersed to their rooms.

Manik was standing in the garden and was lost in his thoughts that's when raj came there and stood beside him.

Raj: manik

Manik came back to senses hearing raj's voice.

Man: dad aap yaha aap soye nahi.

Raj: tum bhi toh nahi soye na aur kya baat hai jo tumhe pareshaan kar rahi hai

Man: aisa aisa kuch nahi hai dad.

Raj: manik I am your dad I know when you are lying and I saw how you are ignoring nandini what happened beta.

Manik bent his head down without saying anything.

Raj: tum usse issi baat se naraz ho na ki usne tumhe nahi bataya Madhyam ke baare mein.

Manik looked at him but again looked down and nodded.

Man: dad kya main iss layak bhi nahi hu ki woh mujhse apni problems solve kar paaye . Aaj bhi main kaanp jata bu jab nandini ko uss hospital bed par dekhta hu.

Raj sighs and hugged him and manik hugged him back.

Raj: manik aaj main tujhe ek baat batata hu you know yeh jo ladies hoti hai na woh bahaut strong hoti hai shayad hum aadmiyo se bhi zayada lekin inki sirf ek hi kamzori hoti hai aur woh hota hai unka parivaar aur woh apni family ke liye kuch bhi kar sakte hai. Achha ek baat batao agar tum nandini ki jagah hote toh kya karte. Ek baar khud ko nandini ki jagah rakh kar dekho shayad tum bhi yahi kartein jo usne kiya hai. Bachha nandini na bilkul tumhari maa jaisi hai kabhi bhi usse khona mat.

Saying this he went from there and manik also went to his room lost in his thoughts.

Manik after giving nandini her medicine went to the balcony and stood there. Nandini kept the medicine on the night stand and went towards the balcony and back hugged manik tightly with her one hand and tears were continously falling and was wetting his shirt

Nan: I... I am sorry manik please forgive me. I didn't want to hurt you I... I was confused main kya karti jab maddy ne bola about that accident I was blank and then he threatened me that if I'll not come he will kill you isliye main waha gayi manik please mujhe maaf kar dijiye.

Manik turned towards her and took her in his tight embrace. Both of them felt alive in each other's arms. It was like they got their breath back. This was the moment both were craving for each other. Both the their eyes were wet. The tears which manik was trying to hid were finally out. He finally broke in nandini's arms and was crying like a baby who was lost and finally got a home.

They after sometime broke the hug and nandini took his hand and went inside the room and manik was following her like a child follow his mother without any questions. Nandini made him sat and sat beside him and as soon as she sat manik kept his head in her lap and nandini start caressing his hair with her left hand.

Both were silent. No one was saying anything. Manik was hiding his face in nandini's stomach and nandini was softly caressing his hair.

Nandini slowly called his name.

Nan: manik

Manik looked at her lost in her eyes and again hid his face in her stomach still lying on her lap and start sobbing.

Man (sobbing): I...tho..thought I lost you that day like mumma. Mujhe laga main tumhe kho dunga. Mujhe saans nahi aa rahi thi. Sab ek dum khali sa lag raha tha.

A lone tear escaped nandini's eyes hearing his words but she composed herself and made him look at her and kissed his forehead.

Nan: shh I am right here I am fina manik see bas.

Man: tum mujhe chod ke toh nahi jaogi na mumma ki tarah?

He asked with a fear in his eyes.

Nan: kabhi nahi aap bologe bhi na tabhi nahi.

Manik got up and cupped her face.

Man: I'll never let you leave me kabhi nahi you will be with me till my last breath.

Nandini palmed his mouth and glared her.

Nan: don't talk about death manik please.

Man: aur jo tumne stunt kia woh. Kya zaroorat thi uss madhyam se akele milne jane ki aur kya zaroorat thi mere aage aa kar woh goli khane ki.

Nan: manik maine jo bhi kia woh aapke liye kia .

Man: nahi mujhe kuch nahi pata promise me nandini you will never hide anything from me kabhi bhi mujhse kuch nahi chupaogi.

Nan: I promise

Manik kissed her forehead.

Man: tumne apni medicine li.

Nandini looked here and there and manik glared him.

Nan: sorry na bhul gayi.

Manik sighs and looked towards the nightstand and saw her medicines and make her eat and made her lie and covered her with the blanket.

He lie on other side and as soon as he lie there nandini shifted her head on his chest and manik hold her from her waist.

Nan: I love you!

Manik smiled and pecked her lips and whispered an 'I Love You'. And they both drifted into sleep finally in peace in each other's arms.
