Nandini reached hospital and got busy in her work letting go of her negative thoughts but still somewhere back in her mind she was not feeling good.

It was only evening when nandini frustratingly closed the file she was reading as her mind again and again was thinking about manik.

Khushi came inside her cabin for some work and saw nandini sitting with her hand on his head.

She was not looking well khushi worriedly asked.

Khu: nandini are you ok?

Nandini's trance broke with her voice and she looked up to see khushi with worried expression.

She composed herself and plastered a smile.

Nan: I am fine khushi. You tell why are you here?

Khu: you are not looking fine nandini. Tell me what happened?

Nandini sighed and told her everything how she was feeling restless from the time manik went.

Khu: oh god nandini tum bhi ma hum toh dar gaye the don't worry maybe shaadi ke baad pehli baar jiju tumse dur gaye hai shayad ussi wajah se yeh restlessness hogi. Tum tension mat lo zayada aur ek kaam karo waise bhi koi important appointments nahi hai filhaal toh tum ghar jao aur rest karo.

She thought about that as she was not able to concentrate on anything so it's better she goes home.

Nandini nodded and packed her belongings and left for Malhotra mansion.

She reached Malhotra mansion and saw bebe sitting in the hall.

She went towards her and sat beside her.

Bebe: aaj jaldi aa gayi puttar tabiyat theek hai na teri?

Nan: ji bebe main theek hu bas kaam nahi tha zayada aur mann bhi nahi lag rha tha.

Bebe smiled and caress her hair.

Bebe: manu ki yaad aa rahi hai.

Nandini nodded cutely.

They were talking when aryaman came from upstairs and looking at nandini's sad face decided to cheer her up.

He came and sat beside nandini.

Arya: pata hai bebe bhai theek hi keh rahe the.

Bebe and nandini confusingly looked at him.

Arya: aree aap dono aise kya dekh rahe ho main keh raha hu bhai ek dum correct the bhai ke jaate hi nandini bhabhi bahaut udaas ho jaengi. Dekhiye na kaise muh utra hua hai bhabhi ka. Aree hum itne bure hai kya? Ya hum aapko itna torture karte hai?

Nandini seeing his face start laughing.

Nan: tum na ek number ke nautanki ho.

Aryaman smiled.

Arya: aise hi haste rahiye bhabhi nahi toh bhai hume chodega nahi.

Nandini smiled and caress his face.

Nan: tumhe bhuk nahi lagi.

Arya nodded in no and sat on the floor keeping his head on her lap.

Bebe was surprised seeing aryaman so comfortable with nandini as he was an introvert who was not so comfortable with anyone.

Nandini caress his hair.

Arya: thank-you bhabhi!

Nan: aur woh kyu?

Arya: thank-you ki apne bhai se shaadi ki. Pata hai jabse aap unki life mein aai ho na tabse he's happy and I know it's just because of you. He is very lucky to have you.

Nandini smiled and caress his hair. Bebe smiled seeing their bond.

Nan: you know arya I am very lucky to have your bhai pata hai kyu. Kyuki because of him I got my family and a new family. He gave me so many relations. You know I was very close to my bhai and it was very difficult to leave him but I got another brother in you.

Aryaman smiled and was playing with her chura and nandini was talking to bebe.

After sometime not feeling any movement nandini looked down and saw aryaman had fallen asleep.

Bebe: aree yeh toh so gaya.

Nandini smiled.

Bebe: nandu bachha utha isse tu kab tak aise baithi rahegi dinner bhi krna hai abhi.

Nan: sone di jiye na bebe isse dekhiye na kitne pyaar se so raha hai thodi der main utha dungi.

Bebe: bigaad degi tu isse.

Bebe sighs and went to kitchen to instruct the servants to lay the dinner.

After sometime bebe came back and saw nandini busy with her phone and arya still in her lap sleeping.

Bebe: nandu puttar tu jabse aai hai yahi baithi isse utha aur tu bhi ja dinner lag gaya hai.

Nandini nodded and slowly caress his hair.

Nan: arya utho chlo dinner lag gaya hai.

Arya: sone do na

Saying this he again fell asleep.

Nan: arya chlo dekho dinner krke so jana tumhe bhuk lagi hogi na.

Aryaman opened his eyes and saw him on nandini's lap.

Arya: oh sorry bhabhi pata hi nahi chala kab aankh lag gayi.

Nan: ek baar phir sorry bola na toh ek thapad marungi chlo jao muh haath do aao phir dinner krlo.

Aryaman grinned and went towards his room but suddenly came back from back and kissed nandini's cheek.

Arya: waise thank-you you know I got the best sleep in your lap.

Saying this he again ran towards his room.

Bebe smiled with slight tears in her eyes seeing which nandini panicked.

Nan: bebe aap ro kyu rahe ho.

Bebe: are kuch nahi puttar bas aaj isse aise dekh kar bahaut achha laga. Pata hai nandu manik toh phir apni maa ki god mein khela hai usse toh phir apni maa ka pyaar mila hai chahe thode salo ke liye hi lekin arya usse toh kabhi bhi maa ka pyaar nahi mila. Nyonika humesha apni partiyo mein busy rahi aur arya ki maa hote huye bhi maa ka pyaar na mil saka. Lekin aaj usse aise dekh kar lagta hai aab mere dono pote khush hai aur yeh sirf teri wajah se.

Nandini smiled and hug her.

After having dinner with everyone nandini left towards thier room.

Seeing the empty room she sighs and went to change.

She came back and went towards the dressing table and took her comb but again was lost in manik's thoughts how he loved her open hair. Suddenly her eyes caught a note that was stick on the mirror. She took the note and read.

"I know you must be standing infront of the mirror and remembering me. Am I right or am I right? Achha leave that dare you tie up your hair. What if I am not there but I still don't like your hair tied up."

She smiled rather blushed and kept her hair as it is and went to bed.

She lie down on her side and when she saw on manik's side there was something kept below the pillow.

She took out and saw a soft toy with a note.

"Well nandini meet Mr. Mean freak and Mr. Mean freak meet nandini. So you must be thinking what is that right so the answer to your question is he is Mr. Mean freak who will protect you from everything when I am not there."

She smiled with tears and hug Mr. Mean freak tightly and whispered "I miss you manik please come back soon" and drift into sleep.

Next morning was normal for everyone. Nandini was feeling much better. She let go of her negative thoughts and started with her daily chores. She texted manik a morning message and went down. Having breakfast with everyone she left to hospital.

On other side manik also landed in London. He was on his way towards the hotel when he thought to call nandini.

Nandini was sitting in her cabin reading some cases when her phone rang and seeing the caller ID,she smiled widely and she picked the call.

Nan: hello!

Man: hello jaan!

Nan: manik aap pahuch gaye. Koi problem toh nahi hua na? You are well right?

Man: ha baba I am fit and fine here and I reached safely bas abhi going to hotel.

Nan: hmm

Man: achha you tell me how's my baby doing? Apna khayal toh rakh raha hai na?

Nan: hmm but your baby is missing you alot.

Man: aww mera baccha I miss you too. Achha you got Mr. Mean freak?

Nan: hmm

Man: did you like it?

Nan: like I loved it manik. He is so cute.

Man: ok stop now I am feeling jealous of that. Stop praising him so much.

Nan: aww manik tum ek toy se jealous ho.

Man: ofcourse aab meri biwi mere saamne kisi aur ki tarif karegi toh jealous nahi hounga toh kya hounga.

Nandini laughed and manik smiled listening her laughs.

They talked for sometime and then disconnected their call. Nandini for the full day was busy in hospital and after finishing her work she left for home.

After having dinner with the family she retired to their room and after talking with manik she drifted to sleep.

Door reh kar lamha lamha
Har ghadi woh yaad aaya
Uske bina har phool har patta murjhaya
Apne khato se woh phir apni yaad laaya....
