Nandini couldn't take her eyes off of the beautiful woman in the picture frame. With long brown hair and soft brown eyes with that glow on the face, Priya manik's mom looked beautiful in the photograph and nandini could see the similarities between manik and priya. She was just adoring her.

As the priest prepare for the puja, nandini bebe and raj sat around the fire.

Nandini kept looking at the door waiting for manik desparately.

Bebe placed her hands on nandini's head and gave her an sympathetic smile telling her it's ok but nandini nodded her head in no and gave her a small smile reassuring her that he will come.

Nandini looked at raj who was lost gazing at the photo of his late wife. His gaze was fixed at the picture since it was placed and his eyes filled with emotions.

Their trance broke when priest said.

Priest: it's about time for the puja to begin.

Nandini again looked at the main door.

Nan: can't we wait a little bit more?

Priest nodded and got busy in preparation.

Nandini looked at her phone and thought if she should call manik. She in heart somewhere believe that he will come but with this she was having fear also that what if he didn't come. Just when she was about to dial manik, the main door opened, revealing manik. Raj and bebe looked at him surprised, nandini had tears in her eyes seeing her love in such a vulnerable condition.

Manik eyes landed on his mother's photo and remained there as he moved forward. Removing his shoes, manik sat down beside raj who was looking at him surprised.

Nandini was happy manik had sat beside raj. Nandini and bebe had purposely sat down together so that manik could sit with raj and they were successful.

Bebe: panditji now you can start the puja.

The priest nodded and the puja was started.

As the puja ended, the priest left and everyone stood quiet. Nandini looked at manik and saw his eye on his mother's face. His eyes were blank.

She thought to go to him and when she was about to go there she saw raj going towards him so she stopped on her tracks waiting for the father-son to talk.

Raj placed his hands on manik's shoulder.

Raj: manu

Manik trance broke with the name raj called after years.

He turned towards him with blank eyes. Raj was unable to look at his emotionless eyes. He somehow getting courage said.

Raj: I am sorry beta.

Saying this he looked upward at his son.

Manik chuckled dryily.

Man: you are sorry! Suna bebe aapne he is sorry. Nandini he is sorry.

Bebe was about to go to him when nandini held her hand and nodded her head in no.

Man: so Mr. Malhotra for what you are sorry? For what ha? For leaving me when I most needed you. Or for giving my maa's place to another woman. Or to be such a coward. Say na Mr Malhotra for what you are sorry.

Raj bent his head and nodded in no.

Man: you loved her na you fucking loved my maa right then how could you give her place to someone else. Ek baar bhi aapne nahi socha unke baare mein mere baare mein mujhe kaisa lagega kisi aur ko apni maa ki jagah lete huye. No you didn't even thought about it. Aree aapko toh isse bhi farak nahi padta ki aapka beta zinda bhi hai. And you are sorry.

Saying this he chuckled sarcastically.

Raj: I... I know I am at fault but manu please forgive me I truly loved your mother I still love her and about marriage I married her because I thought you will need a mother that's why beta. Please beta forgive me.

Saying this he falls on his knees with tears continuously pouring from his eyes.

Manik closed his eyes tightly and suddenly her mother's words came in his mind.

Flashback

We see small manik fighting with a boy. They were fighting when priya came towards them and seeing them she pulled manik.

Pri: manu bas aise ladte nahi hai beta. Kya hua mujhe batao.

Man: maa Rohan ne meri saari book kharab kar di main usse chodunga nahi.

Pri: rohan beta tumne aise kyu kia?

Roh: sorry'aunty mujhse galti se hongaya. Sorry manik.

Saying this rohan holds his ears.

Priya turned towards manik.

Pri: manu usse galti ho gayi usse maaf kardo.

Man: lekin maa mujhe saara kaam dobara karna padega.

Roh: main tumhari help karunga manik.

Pri: aab

Man: lekin

Pri: manu ek baat humesha yaad rakhna agar kisi ko apni galti ka ehsaas hai aur woh dil se maafi maang raha hai toh hume usse humesha maaf kr dena chaiye nahi toh hume hi takleef hoti hai. Achha ek baat batao tumhe rohan se lad kar achha laga?

Manik nodded in no.

Pri: aur usse lad kar tumhari book wapas theek ho gayi?

Manik again nodded in no.

Pri: phir kyu lad rhe ho isse achha forgive him isse you will also be happy haina.

Manik nods.

Pri: chlo aab handshake karo ek dusre se and go play.

Flashback ends.

Manik opened his eyes and saw raj still on his knees. He went towards him and made him stand.

Man: I forgive you!

Raj: huh

Man: I forgive you dad.

Listening dad raj again got tears in his eyes and hugged him tightly and manik also hug him closing his eyes.

Nandini smiled and side hug bebe who was also in tears.

They both pulled away from hug and saw nandini and bebe they went towards them and all four of them hug.

Raj pulled back and placed his hand on nandini's head.

Raj: god bless you beta this is all because of you I got my son.

Then he took manik's hand and placed it in nandini's hand.

Raj: may god keep you both always together.

Nandini looked at manik and manik squeezed her hand lightly.

Tujhse naraaz nahi zindagi
Hairaan hoon mein
Tere masoon sawalon se
Pareshaan hoon mein...
