Nandini came from the washroom and saw the bus already gone. She start panicking and start looking here and there but there was no one.

She asked few people about the bus but she got negative response that's when someone tapped from her back.

She got scared and turned shouting.

Nan (shouting): aah

As she turned she sighed in relief

Man: why are you shouting kya hua

Nan: oh thank god manik it's you achha hua tum aa gaye chalo bus mein kaha hai bus

Man: kaha matlab yeh toh

Saying this he looked at the entrance of the dhabha and realized there was no bus.

Man: what the bus kaha gayi

Nan: what do you mean bus kaha gayi tumhe nahi pata

Man: Nahi I mean I was at the counter clearing the bill and then I saw you and came to you

Nan: what iska matlab

Manan (together): bus hume chodkar chali gayi

They both looked at eachother in horror.

Nan (panicking): shit manik aab hum kya karenge aab hum kaise wapas hotel jaenge shit shit

Manik tried to calm her but she was continuously panicking so he kept his hand on her mouth.

Man: shh

Nandini stopped shouting and they shared and eyelock.

Their eyelock was broken by a waiter who came to them to give manik the bill.

Waiter: sir yeh bill aap counter par hi bhul gaye the

Manik and Nandini broke their eyelock and manik took the bill.

Ma: achha bhaiya mujhe puchna tha yaha aas pass kahi se taxi ya kuch aur milega kya humari bus chooth gayi hai

Waiter: aree bhaiya 4 saal pehle main bhi aise hi reh gya tha meri bhi bus chooth gayi thi lekin aaj tak wapas nahi ja paya aur aakhir kar yaha waiter lag gaya bolo toh aapke liye bhi malik se baat karu kya

Man (gritting): shut up jo pucha hai Woh batao

Nan: manik calm down

She went towards the waiter

Nan: bhaiya aap bata skte hai hume yaha se city tak jane ke liye kuch mil skta hai kya

Waiter: aree madam iss samay tak toh kuch nahi milega aab jo milega subah tak hi milega.

Man: jab maine pucha toh kya takleef ho rhi thi batane me

Waiter: Lagta hai garam misaaj ke hai bhaiya bhabhiji

They looked at eachother as waiter called Nandini bhabhiji.

Seeing which

Waiter: aree aap toh sharma gaye lagta hai nayi nayi shaadi hui hai

Man: zayada bakwas mat karo aur jao apna kaam karo

The waiter went.

Man: oh god raat ke do baj rhe hai god knows aab hum kya karenge aur upar se yeh stupid waiter.

Listening manik nandini giggled.

Man: what's so funny has kyu rhi ho

Nan: kuch nahi nothing at all

Man: oh god kaha fas gaya yarr main

Nan: calm down manik let's see kisi ko call krte hai wait let me see

Saying this she took her phone only to see there's no signal.

Man (sarcastically): ohh wow nandini what a brilliant idea tumhe kya lagta hai mujhe yeh idea nahi aaya tha

Man (muttering): mujhe pata hai yeh sab un do bandro ka kiya dhara hai milne do phir main batata hu unko

Nan: tumne kuch kaha

Man: Nahi but aab kya kare

Nan: ruko main kuch dekhti hu

Saying this he went to the owner of the dhabha.

Nan: sasriyakal praji o ki hai sadhi bus sanu aethe chd gayi hai te sadhe phona wich signal wi nahi haiga islai sanu ik raat vaase rehen wase jagah chaiyediye sanu mil sakdi e

( Sasriyakal bhaiya actually our bus left us here and there's no signal in our phones so that's why we want a place to spend the night can you arrange something)

Owner: koi na kudiye sade kol ek kamra khali haiga tu o use krle

( It's ok beta we have one room you can use it)

Nan: tuhada dhanyawad praji

( Thank you so much bhaiya)

Saying this she went towards manik who was looking at her shocked.

Nan: what aise kya dekh rhe ho

Man: you know Punjabi matlab how

Nan (shrugging): my mom is Punjabi and my dad tamilain

Man: oh

Nan: aachha aab chlo

Saying this they both went towards the owner and owner looked at them in suspicious.

Owner: ae munda kon hai kudiye

(Who's this boy?)

Before Nandini could answer manik interrupted.

Man: main ida pati aa praji

( I am her husband)

The owner nodded and gave him the keys.

The room was a small room with a attached small balcony.

As soon as they entered Nandini blasted on him.

Nan: what the hell kya tha yeh bahar you are not my husband.

Man: I know but did you looked at that owner if we would have said we are friends woh hume khabhi bhi jagah Nahi deta rehne ko.

Nan: but still pati tum kuch aur bol dete

Man: achha like what can you explain.

Nan: jaise bhai

Man: what the

Man (muttering): yeh toh maine kabhi sapne mein bhi nahi bolunga

Nan: tumne kuch kaha

Man (stammering): huh nahi kuch nahi kuch bhi toh nahi tum bhi ajeeb baate krti ho main freshen up hone ja rha hu.

Saying this he went to the washroom.

Inside the washroom

Man: oh god yeh mujhe kya ho gya tha maine aise react kyunkia jab nandini ne mujhe bhai bola shit yarr I'll kill you cabir and abhi yeh sab tum dono ki wajah se hi ho rha hai damnn

After sometime he came outside and nandini went to the washroom to freshen up.

She came out and now both were standing in front of the bed looking at it awkwardly.

Man: Nandini tum bed par so jao I'll manage somewhere.

Nan: manik there's nothing in this room besides this bed so where will you sleep if I'll take the bed.

Man: don't worry about me I'll manage I'll sleep in balcony

Nan: manik don't be stupid bahar itni thand hain amd balcony mein bhi kuch nahi jispe you can sleep so if you don't mind you can sleep on bed I mean it's a huge bed so you take one side and I'll take the other.

Man: but Nandini are you sure I really don't want you to be uncomfortable in any way I mean I'll manage something else.

Nan (smiling): manik it's ok I am not uncomfortable you can take the bed with me.

Saying this she went on one side and lie down.

Manik hesitantly went to the other side and lie down.

They both were lying with their back towards eachother.

Man: slept

Nan: nahi not getting any sleep

Man: hm me too

Nan: hm

Man: so let's talk waise bhi neend nahi aa rhi

Nan: hm so you tell me something about your family.

Man: meri family meri family sirf meri dadi aur bhai Aryaman hai

Nan: aur what about your dad

Listening about his father he becomes upset and got up and went towards the balcony.

Nandini called him from behind but he ignored her and went away.

She got up and went towards the balcony amd saw manik standing near the railing and lost in deep thoughts.

She came and stands beside him but he didn't react to it.

Nandini slowly put her hand on his shoulder and manik looked at her and give her a small smile.

Nan: sorry I shouldn't have said something personal about you

Man: it's ok I think I overreacted

Nan: you ok

Man: hm actually it's just that my father after my mother's death he again married and now he's so busy in his life that he didn't have time for me we only talk to each other if it's office related.

Nan: you know manik I love my father but he doesn't love me

He looked at her confused

Nan: he thinks daughters are a burden and they are meant to follow rules made by men. He never wanted me he love my brother to moon amd back just because he is a boy and he also love my sister because she follows everything he said. But when he told me to stop studying I denied so he never loved me. My mother always supported me. She tried to change my father but was not able to do so.

Nandini told everything to manik. She was crying continuously.

Manik slowly put his hand on her shoulder and side hugged her.

Man: shh bas Nandini everything will be fine you are a strong girl and one day your father will love you also

Nandini looked at him with innocent eyes.

Nan: really manik will my father love me someday?

Man (smiling): why will he not love such a sweet and caring daughter

Nandini smiled.

Man: now let's go sona nahi hai

Saying this he picked her and went towards the bedroom closing the door of balcony. All the time nandini was just looking at him.

He slowly made her lie on the bed and cover her with the blanket.

He himself lie on the other side and as soon as he lie Nandini moves closer and rested her head on his shoulder.

Manik was surprised seeing her but then realized she needed it so he also wrap his arms around her and they both slept in eachother arms.

Labon se na bayan ho jo
