"I LOVE YOU SONAKSHI, I REALLY LOVE YOU. I CANNOT LOSE YOU. I CANNOT LOSE YOU BOTH"

As soon as Sonakshi heard Dev a lump formed in her throat, she could at once make out that it was not just his mother's health that was concerning Dev, it was something more than that and the reason was related to her as well. All negative thoughts were clouding her mind, was there more to Auntyji's deteriorated health, why was Dev talking about not losing them, was Auntyji unhappy with their relation, was her father's fear coming true. She was brought out of her thoughts by the snivelling sound of Dev and it was then she realized that he was still crying, she tightened her hug as Dev clung on to her. She was trying to draw the sadness out of him unaware that he was facing the biggest dilemma of his life, they stood there in silence as Dev finally calmed down as Sonakshi helped him settle down on the sofa while she sat down beside him as he kept his head on her lap while she caressed his head trying to soothe his pain, drowning herself in his sorrows forgetting the questions which was going on in her mind.

While the two sat wordlessly Mamaji observed them, there were slight tears forming in his eyes. While on one hand he was happy that Dev had found a girl like Sonakshi who could understand him without the need of any words being said but on other hand he had his sister, whose insecurities were rising by the day and somewhere he could understand her fear. In fact, in the past few days right from the time that Dev & Sonakshi's relation was known to all he had tried to allay to her fears but could not. And the situation today just made it worse, he felt sad that life had put his nephew in such a situation, but he also knew if someone could handle the situation it was only Dev, he had to take control of the situation before it worsened, just then someone tapped his shoulder.

"Uncle, Auntyji Kaisi hai abb?" asked Saurabh who had just arrived after parking his vehicle, as he came he could see his sister and Dev sitting silently with Dev's head on his sister's lap while she was caressing it, leaving them alone he had moved towards Mamaji.

"Wo abhi Theek hai beta" said Mamaji as Saurabh breathed in relief

"Lekin aisa achanak kaisey ho gaya Uncle?" he asked as Mamaji pondered whether to tell the actual reason, he knew that he had the right to know the truth, just as he was about to reply the nurse interrupted them.

"Mr. Dixit, Aapki Maa ko hosh aa gaya hai. Humey kuch check-up karney hai, aap 10-minute baad unsey mil saktey hai" she said as everyone sighed in relief, tears made way from Dev and Sonakshi's eyes once again

"Maa ko hosh aa gaya Dev, hosh aa gaya unhey" said Sonakshi in joy as she hugged Dev while it pierced his heart thinking about Mamaji's words, he was still unable to comprehend that his mother was unhappy with their relation while on the other hand Sonakshi had already accepted his mother as family, he just hugged Sonakshi.

Just then Saurabh's phone rang, excusing himself he went aside while Mamaji along with Dev and Sonakshi waited to meet Ishwari.

"Hello Saurabh, Ishbari ji kaisi hai abb?" spoke Asha hurriedly as soon as Saurabh picked the call

"Wo ab theek hai Maa, abhi just unhey hosh aaya hai. Doctor check-up kar rahey hai" said Saurabh as Asha sighed in relief

"Acha Deb kaisa hai?" she asked in a concerned tone

"Wo Theek hai Maa, Sona hai unkey saath" he said as Asha felt relieved that her daughter was with Dev giving him the strength to get through these tough times

"Acha Saurabh, Wahan kisi bhi cheez ki zaroorat ho toh call karna" said Asha

"Theek hai Maa" replied Saurabh

"Accha Theek hai, khayal rakhna apna aur baaki sab ka bhi" she said as Saurabh replied in agreement and cut the call.

As they neared the room Dev stopped just before the door as he gripped Sonakshi's hand tightly, Sonakshi on the other hand was surprised as to why Dev had stopped. She looked towards Dev whose eyes were brimming with tears now, as Sonakshi's heart wrenched once again seeing him cry. She wiped his tears.

"Dev, Maa abhi Theek hai. Chaliye humey Maa se milna hai" she said as Dev looked at her silently while Saurabh and Mamaji stood silently.

"Sonakshi...." said Dev as a lump formed in his throat. He could not speak further but it seemed Sonakshi at exactly understood what he wanted to say, wordlessly she unclasped his hand from her's and smiled at him nodding her head conveying that she understood what he was trying to convey. As their hands separated Mamaji and Saurabh looked in surprise while Dev sadly smiled at her, a smile which conveyed that he was thankful to her for understanding him. She gestured him to go ahead and meet his mother as Dev and Mamaji went inside while Sonakshi just peeked through the glass pane of the door to make sure that Ishwari was fine when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Kya Hua Sona, Tu Auntyji se milney kyun nahi gayi andar?" asked Saurabh as Sonakshi turned towards him wiping the tears which were threatening to spill out of her eyes.

"Iss waqt Auntyji se sirf Dev ka milna sahi rahega Dada" she said with a heavy heart

"Lekin Sona...." said Saurabh but before he could continue he was interrupted by Sonakshi 

"Nahi Dada, mainey kaha naa. Iss waqt Auntyji ko Dev ki sabsey zyada zaroorat hai. Abb humey chalna chahiye" she said as Saurabh agreed without arguing further, they left for their home while on the way Sonakshi dropped a message to Dev informing about their departure.

On the other at the Bose house the situation was tense as well, as soon as Asha cut the call after talking with Saurabh Bijoy asked "Asha, Kya kaha Saurabh ne?"

"Ishbari ji abb theek hai Bijoy" she said as everyone sighed in relief listening to her

"Chalo shukar hai Bhogoban ka Ki Ishbari ji abb theek hai" said Dadi as Asha nodded in agreement, she looked towards Bijoy who seemed to be deep in his thoughts

"Kya hua Bijoy. Kya soch rahey ho?" asked Asha as Bijoy came out of his thoughts.

"Huh, kuch nahi Asha" he said but Asha knew something was definitely wrong, but she did not ask anything.

"Accha Maa, Elena Aap log jaakey so jaaiye. Main aur Bijoy Sona aur Saurabh ke aaney ka wait karenge, Elena Dadi ko apney kamrey main Chodkey Tu bhi so jaa. Kal subah college bhi jaana hai naa tujhey" said Asha as Elena nodded, along with Dadi she left for her room.

"Bijoy sach sach batao tum kya soch rahey ho?" asked Asha as soon as the duo of Dadi & Elena exited.

"Pata nahi Asha lekin mujhey kuch theek nahi lag raha hai. Ye Ishwari Ji ka aisey achanak tabiyat kharab hona..." he said as the Asha understood what Bijoy was trying to say as well as his unsaid words

"Kya tumhey lagta hai ki kahin Ishbari ji ki tabiyat Deb aur Sona ke rishtey ki wajah se...." she asked while Bijoy looked at her.

"Pata nahi Asha, lekin unka aisey achanak tabiyat kahrab hona wo bhi tab jab Dev & Sona ka rishta tay ho gaya hai aur phir uss din jab main unsey milney gaya tha rishtey ki baat karney tab bhi mujhey aisa laga ki wo iss rishtey se khush nahi hai" he said in a concerned tone as Asha stood silently, she knew that the situation was getting complicated and hoped that the fear her husband had does not turn out to be true.

"Bijoy, Itni chinta matt karo. Sab theek ho jayega" she said

"Kaisey chinta na karoon Asha, Ye Sona ke zindagi ka sawal hai. Main aisey hi haat pe haat dalkey baith toh nahi sakta naa" she said restlessly as Asha sighed

"Bijoy, Main tumhara concern samajhti hoon. Lekin Sona ke saath saath ye Deb ke zindagi ka sawal hai. Aur tum jaantey ho wo dono ek doosrey se kitna pyar kartey hai. Aur humey apney bachon pe vishwas karna chahiye ki wo jo bhi faisla lenge soch samajh ke lenge. Aur tum ye jo soch rahey ho sakta hai ki wo sach hi na ho. Ho sakta hai ki Ishbari ji ki tabiyat kisi aur wajah se kharab hui ho aur tumhara darr bewaja ho" she said as Bijoy stared into nothingness.

"Kaash aisa hi ho Asha, kaash mera darr sach na ho" he said as he settled down on the sofa while Asha settled beside him and said "Don't worry Bijoy, sab theek ho jayega" as she took his hands into her trying to give him the strength while both waited for their kids to arrive from the hospital.

Dev had just entered the room where Ishwari was shifted, as soon as he entered Ishwari's eyes met his, a smile formed on Ishwari's face while Dev just moved ahead wordlessly, he settled on the chair near to the bed, taking her hand into his he just laid his head on the bed keeping her palm along with his under it. After a few seconds she felt her palm getting wet and that's when realization hit her that Dev was crying.

"Dev..." said Ishwari caressing Dev's head with her other hand but he was quiet

"Dev, Main Theek hoon Beta. Rona band kar beta" she said as Dev replied

"Main tujhsey baat nahi kar raha, ek baar bhi tuney humarey baarey main nahi socha ki agar tujhey agar kuch ho jaata toh humara kya hota. Mamaji keh dijiye apni behen se ki main iss sey baat nahi kar raha" he said while raising his head without looking at Ishwari who just smiled along with Mamaji

"Bhaiya, Aap bhi iss se keh dijiye ki aagey se aisa nahi hoga" she said moving her head trying to look at his face which was turned away from her.

"Dekh bhai Ishwari, Main tum Maa-bete ke beech main nahi padhney wala. Ye mamla toh tum dono ko hi aapas main suljhana padega" he said raising his hand gesturing his defeat before the mother-son duo.

"Dev, meri baat to sun..." said Ishwari but was cut off by Dev

"Kya sunu Maa, Har baar apni mann maani karti hai tu. Kisi ki baat nahi sunn ti, kitni baar main ne kaha hai ki apna khayal rakh magar har baar tujhey hi bass apni hi mann ki karni hai" said Dev in anger as Ishwari kept quiet

"Kyun karti hai tu aisa?" said Dev calming down as Ishwari replied "Accha Baba, maaf karday mujhey aagey se aisa kuchh nahi hoga, maaf kar de mujhey" she said as Dev smiled and laid his head in her lap as she caressed his head while Mamaji kept looking at the unique mother-son bond that both shared, he hoped that things fall back in place in their lives.

On the other hand, Sonakshi and Saurabh just entered the Bose house as Bijoy and Asha looked towards them.

"Aa gaye tum dono" said Asha as she moved towards them while Sonakshi just came towards her and hugged her, she was sobbing which did not go unnoticed by anyone.

"Saurabh, Kya hua? Sab theek hai naa. Sona ro kyun rahi hai?" asked Bijoy seeing Sonakshi crying

"Sab theek hai Baba, Ishwari Aunty ab theek hai" said Saurabh as Bijoy and Asha sighed in relief, all the while Asha was caressing Sonakshi's head trying to calm her down.

"Sona, chup ho jaa beta. Ishbari ji ab theek hai" she said but Sonakshi just held her mom. Asha gestured Saurabh and Bijoy to go to their room and sleep while she takes care of Sonakshi.

Reaching Sonakshi's room Asha settled her down on the diwan kept near the window and made her drink water, Sonakshi had calmed down a bit by this time. She laid her head in Asha's lap as she caressed it, after some time Asha asked.

"Sona, kya hua beta? Sab theek hai na?" she asked as Sonakshi replied

"PATA NAHI MAA, MANN MAIN AJEEB SA DARR LAG RAHA HAI. AISEY LAG RAHA HAI JAISEY KUCH BURA HONEY WALA HO"
