"Accha abb batao tum pareshan kyun ho?" asked Sonakshi after a few moments looking at him while he just replied "Nahi Sonakshi, main pareshan nahi hoon, tumhey aisa kyun laga?" he asked as Sonakshi looked at him closely but did not speak anything confusing Dev as he asked in a perplexed tone "Aisey kya dekh rahi ho mujhey?"

"Kya tumhey sach main lagta hai ki tum mujhsey kuch chupa saktey ho Mr. OBODHRO?" asked Sonakshi confusing him even more as she continued "Tumhara yahan iss waqt aana, tumhara chehra aur ye aankhon ke nichey dark circles yahi keh rahey ki tum raat bhar soye nahi aur aisa tab bhi hota hai jab tum pareshan hotey ho" she said with a knowing expression as he smiled, she always seemed to know when he needed her.

"Abb batao baat kya hai?" she asked as he replied "Pata nahi Sonakshi, kal raat se ek ajeeb si feeling hai mann main. Pata nahi darr hai ya nervousness ya phir kuch aur. Ek restlessness ho rahi hai" he said with a confused voice as Sonakshi stayed quiet wondering what was bothering him, after a few moments she said "Kal kuch hua tha kya Dev?" she asked as he replied "Kal Neha Maa se milney aayi thi, Sonakshi" he said as for a moment Sonakshi was surprised as she thought the reason for Neha's visit and how it was linked to Dev being restless.

"Kya tumhey lagta hai ki Neha ne Maa se humarey baarey main baat ki hogi?" she asked as Dev replied "Pata nahi Sonakshi, main ne Maa se ya phir Neha se poocha nahi. Agar koi aisi baat hogi toh wo khud batayengi. Agar main ney interfere kiya toh shayad wo bura maan jaaye?" he said as Sonakshi nodded in agreement and said "Par tumney Neha se baat kyun nahi ki?" she asked as Dev turned quiet, after a few seconds he spoke.

"Sonakshi, Neha aur mera rishta ab jaake sudhar raha hai, main kuch bhi aisa nahi karna chahta jo phir se humarey beech main dooriyan laaye, agar usey laga ki usney Maa se jo bhi baat ki wo mujhey bata sakti hai, toh main wait karunga uskey bataney ka. Main uss par koi dabav nahi dalna chahta Sonakshi" he said as Sonakshi nodded in agreement, both knew that though Dev and Neha's relationship was improving it was still not in that stage where they could be completely transparent with each other.

"Accha Chalo ab chinta matt karo, sab theek hi hoga" said Sonakshi as Dev agreed to her while Sonakshi continued "Waisey tumney kuch khana khaya subah se?" she asked as Dev gave her a sheepish look clearly indicating that he did not have any food from the morning "Dev, Kitni baar Mainey tumhey kaha hai ki breakfast kabhi skip nahi karna chahiye. Lekin tum ho ki meri baat suntey hi nahi ho" scolded Sonakshi and turned her face away as Dev came in front of her holding his ears making a puppy face, he knew Sonakshi could never ignore his this side as a small smile tugged her face seeing his face but then she spoke "Dev, Your puppy face is not going to work this time" she said pretending to be angry as Dev said "Sorry na baba, aagey se kabhi nahi karunga. Chalo ab lunch saath main kartey hai" he said lovingly as Sonakshi could not be angry with him anymore, she finished her meeting with the last three patients before lunch as Dev waited for her after which both went to a nearby restaurant to have their lunch. After spending some more time Dev left for his office, finally feeling at peace while Sonakshi went to the hospital, the smile on her face never leaving her.

Ishwari was sitting in her room thinking about the happenings of the day, it was evening, and she had just gotten up from her evening nap. This afternoon she had gone with Nikki for shopping as she was getting bored in the house, so when Nikki returned she decided to go along with her and Kichu for buying the groceries and other needs for the home. Though both Nikki and Kichu asked her to say at home and take rest as the heat was at its peak outside she was adamant and went with them. They were nearing the end of their shopping when suddenly Ishwari's head started spinning and she was about to faint but right on time she was caught hold off by Nikki. Both Nikki and Kichu panicked seeing her condition but then she got up after having water feeling better as they decided to come back home. At home, after having some food and medicines Ishwari slept while the other two got back to their work.

It was evening when Ishwari got up as Kichu came along with her evening diet which she had and right now she was sitting on her bed with her head on the head rest as her thoughts went back to the conversation she had with her eldest daughter the previous day.......

"MAIN BHAI AUR Dr. SONAKSHI KE RISHTEY KE BAAREY MAIN BAAT KAR RAHI HOON MAA" said Neha, as soon as Ishwari heard that she was shocked, for a moment she wondered whether she had heard it right but the look on Neha's face confirmed she had indeed. She was confused, why was Neha talking about Dev and Sonakshi? Did she know about her fears and insecurities? Did Dev ask Neha to talk to her? Why was Neha saying that she did not understand what Dev wanted? Multiple questions were going on in her mind when the voice of her daughter brought her out of her thoughts.

"Kya Hua Maa? Tu chup kyun hai?" asked Neha as Ishwari looked at her with a confused expression but the look on Neha's face confused her more, did she see a hint of disappointment and accusation on her daughter's face or was it sadness? she thought.

"Bol naa Maa, Tu bhai aur Sonakshi ke rishtey ko samajhna kyun nahi chahti hai?" asked Neha, this time more straight forward in her approach in discussing about it, she knew that there was no point going roundabouts as her mother would probably never acknowledge it, it was better to talk about it open-heartedly.

"Ye...Ye tu kya keh rahi hai Neha, main...main kuch samjhi nahi" she fumbled having a questioning look on her face as Neha sighed sadly, her mother was still not ready to accept the reality as she spoke "Tu samajh nahi paayi ya phir tu samajhna nahi chahti Maa?" she asked once again leaving her mother tongue-tied as she looked around everywhere but Neha lest her face gives away her thoughts.

"Tu acchi tarah samajh rahi hai Maa ki main kya kehna chahti hoon lekin tu bass maan ney ke liye tayar nahi hai" said Neha as Ishwari replied "Aisi koi baat nahi hai Neha tujhey aisa kyun lagta hai ki Dev aur Sonakshi ke rishtey se naa khush hoon? Ye tu bhi jaanti hai ki main ne unn ke rishtey ko apni manzoori de di hai aur usey apna liya hai. Phir tu ye kyun keh rahi hai ki main ney unkey rishtey ko samjha nahi?" she asked trying to sound confident, but Neha knew her mother well enough.

"Mujhsey zyada ye baat tu acchi tarah jaanti hai ki tuney sach main Bhai aur Sonakshi ke rishtey ko apnaya hai ya nahi Maa" said Neha as Ishwari looked at her wondering where she was going with it as Neha continued "Lekin mujhey ek baat bata Maa, Sonakshi ne yahan kaam karna kyun chhoda?"

"Mainey usey kaam choddney ke liye nahi kaha tha Neha. Ye faisla Dev aur Sonakshi ka tha aur phir mujhey toh pata bhi nahi tha ki Sonakshi kaam chodd rahi hai" she replied in an instant, agitation was clear in her voice as Neha calmly replied "Lekin kya tuney ek baar yeh jaaney ki koshish ki achanak aisa kya ho gaya ki unhoney kaam chodd diya aur bhai ne bhi unhey jaaney diya. Sab kuch toh accha chal raha tha Maa lekin Bhai ke accident ke baad aisi kya baat ho gayi ki unhoney aisa faisla liya? Jabki uss waqt toh yahan shayad unki sabsey zyada zaroorat thi kyunki tu bhi kuch din pehle hi hospital se wapas aayi thi" she questioned Ishwari as the colour drained of Ishwari's face, she had no answers to Neha's questions, What Neha had said was indeed true. Yes, she did not know about Sonakshi leaving the job at Ishwari Niwas but then she never questioned Dev as to why it was suddenly? She accepted Dev's words that Sonakshi was doing it for her career, but never did she try to know why she had to leave the job for that? And Neha's words indicated that there was than what met the eyes.

"Ek baat bata Maa, jab se Sonakshi yahan se gayi hai kya tuney usey ek baar bhi call kiya? Uss sey ek baar bhi baat karney ki koshish ki? Tu keh rahi hai ki tuney Bhai aur Sonakshi ke rishtey ko apna liya hai phir tuney ab tak Sonakshi ke parivaar valon se unkey rishtey ke baarey main baat kyun nahi ki Maa?" she asked as Ishwari was once again left speechless, Neha kept silent seeing her mother quiet. She knew her words had triggered the thought process of her mother. She just hoped that it would be for the better.

"Neha" Ishwari spoke slowly as Neha looked at her while Ishwari continued "Kya tujhey lagta hai ki Sonakshi ne meri wajah se yahan kaam chhoda ya phir meri wajah se Dev ne usey yahan se jaaney ke liye kaha?" she asked with a quiver in her voice as a small played on Neha's lips, her mother was thinking more clearly now and more importantly she was ready to talk about it. But she also knew she was not the right person to answer her question.

"Iss baat jawab toh Dev bhai ya phir Sonakshi hi de saktey hai Maa" she said as Ishwari looked at her daughter who continued "Unsey baat kar Maa shayad tujhey teri sawalon ka jawab mill jaaye?" she said as Ishwari nodded her agreement, it was time for her to SPEAK TO HER SON.

"Bhaley hi tu kisi se kuch naa kahey Maa lekin main aur yahan tak hi Dev bhai, hum dono tere mann ke darr ko samajhtey hai Maa. Aur jab tak tu apney iss dar ke baarey main Dev bhai ko nahi batayegi ya phir unsey baat nahi karegi toh wo bhi kya kar saktey hai Maa?" she said as Ishwari just kept looking down quietly as Neha kept quiet as well. After a few moments she got up as Ishwari looked at her as Neha spoke "Bhai aur agar ho sakey toh Sonakshi se bhi ek baar baat kar Maa, Ab bhi der nahi hui hai" she said and continued "Chal main chalti hoon, zyada matt soch ab aur apna khayal rakhna" she said and hugged her mother as Ishwari asked her to take care of herself and made her promise to visit her maternal home more frequently.

"Maa, Maa" Dev's panicked voice brought Ishwari out of her thoughts as she watched her son walking in hurriedly. Dev came in and immediately hugged his mother, coming out of the hug he spoke "Ab kaisi hai tu? Kitni baar kaha hai tujhey ki apni tabiyat ka khayal rakh lekin tu hai ki meri ek bhi baat nahi maanti. Kisney kaha tha tujhey itni dhoop main bahar jaaney ke liye? Aur kisi ney mujhey call kyun nahi kiya jab ye hua?"  he rattled off the questions as Ishwari smiled shaking her head, her son was always like this when it concerned her health.

"Dev pehle saans toh lele beta" she said with a smile as Dev sighed while Ishwari continued "Isi liye Mainey Kichu se mana kiya tha tujhey bataney se. Mujhey pata tha ki tu apna sab kaam choddkey aa jayega" she said as Dev replied "Teri tabiyat se zyada kuch zaroori nahi hai Maa, kyun aisa karti hai tu. Ghar main itne log hai kaam karney ke liye, tujhey market jaaney ki kya zaroorat thi" he said.

"Akele ghar main soonapan mehsoos ho rahi thi isi liye laga thoda bahar jaakey aaun" she said as guilt gnawed Dev, somewhere he knew that ever since Mamaji and his family left Ishwari was left alone in the house, he was having second thoughts about his decision when his phone buzzed, it was SONAKSHI calling him. He was confused, he wanted to pick the call but then he did not want Ishwari to think that he was ignoring her. But Ishwari had already see the called id. on his phone and along with it the confusion on Dev's face was clearly visible.

"Dev, Sonakshi ka phone hai. Tu utha kyun nahi raha hai?" she asked as Dev nodded his head sideways and picked up the call "Haan Son..." Dev spoke but before he could continue Sonakshi spoke hurriedly "Dev, Mujhey nikki ne bataya ki aaj market main Auntyji ko chakkar aaya tha. Ab kaisi hai wo? Unhoney apna medicine liya naa? Unhoney theek se khana khaya? Wo mera diya hua diet chart follow kar rahi hai naa? Tum kuch bol kyun nahi rahey ho? Kuch toh bolo Dev?" she said as Dev spoke "Sonakshi, Tum bolney dogi toh main bolunga naa? Maa ab theek hai. Mere saamney hi baithi hai" he said as Sonakshi sighed in relief and spoke "Thank god, Accha theek hai, mujhey yahi jaan na tha main phone rakhti hoon" she said, forgetting that Dev had told her that he was speaking to her while Ishwari was present in front of him.

"Kya keh rahi thi Sonakshi aur usey kisney bataya?" asked Ishwari as Dev cut the call while he replied "Teri tabiyat ke baarey main pooch rahi thi Maa, usey Nikki ne abhi bataya" he said as Ishwari smiled seeing the camaraderie between her youngest daughter and Sonakshi, both Dev and Ishwari kept quiet for some time. Ishwari thinking how she could start the topic which she was intending to talk with Dev while Dev unsure whether the discussion about Sonakshi made his mother uncomfortable.

After a few moments Ishwari spoke "Dev, mujhey...mujhey tujhsey kuch baat karni thi beta" she said with hesitation in her voice as Dev replied "Bol naa Maa, tu hichkicha kyun rahi hai?" as she said.

"MAIN TERE AUR SONAKSHI KE RISHTEY KE BAAREY MAIN BAAT KARNA CHAHTI THI"
