It's Friday and as promised I am here with the first part of this story.

Without further ado here's the first part, hope you like it.

As she stepped in, her eyes widened in astonishment looking at the surroundings. The setting was perfect. A soul soothing music played in the background as the path she walked along was adorned with her favorite white lilies. The light drizzle coupled with the shower of the flowers on her was just adding beauty to the whole atmosphere. As she walked the walls were alighted with their pictures depicting all the moments they had spent till date, everything was just perfect for her. It seemed the word perfection originated for this very moment she was experiencing. She had worn a pink saree with a backless blue blouse which he had sent completing her look with the minimal make-up & jewelry just the way he loved. At the far end under a circular canopy she could see a table set-up with a cake & champagne on it. Amidst all these her eyes were searching for him, the mere glimpse of whom would make her whole day bright, a talk with him would dissipate all her tiredness & the innocence of whom would make her feel lucky to have him in her life. As her eyes sought him on the other end the focus light shifted onto a pathway and that's when her vision shifted on the person standing there, it was her man standing in all of his six feet glory wearing a black Tuxedo which complimented with her saree. Holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers he made his way towards her and as if in a trance she moved towards him as the corners of their lips curved upwards in a smile, their gaze never leaving as they tried to absorb the features of the other, even after so many days of their relationship both could not get enough of each other. As they reached near the rain intensified probably marking the occasion with the shower of love in the form of rain drops, he gifted her the bouquet and before she could register anything he went down on his knees taking out the diamond studded platinum ring he forwarded his hand holding the ring towards her and said.

"Our start might not have been perfect, we collided, had arguments, had fights and disagreements but today when I look back, all those moments have become beautiful memories for me. You are like that breathe of fresh air which one craves for, you are like the petrichor when the rain falls on earth, like the ray of sunshine on a chilly winter day. I might be flawed but you make me want to become a better person Sonakshi. We will have many more arguments & differences but with you on my side I am sure we will sail through those times as well. I want to live you with you Sonakshi, love you, adore you and make memories with you for a lifetime. I am not so good with words so without wasting more time I want to ask you. Ms. SONAKSHI BOSE, Will you Mar......."

Just as Sonakshi's sleep was disturbed by the shrill of the phone ring, she got up rubbing her eyes looking at the time and wondered who was calling her at this ungodly hour, without looking at the caller id. she picked up the call but the moment she heard the voice from the other side she froze.

"Sona Di....Sona Di..." spoke Nikki as she sobbed uncontrollably while Sonakshi worry and confusion etched on Sonakshi's face.

"Nikki, Kya hua? Tum ro kyun rahi ho...Pehle toh rona band karo aur mujhey batao kya hua hai. Tum kuch bol kyun nahi rahi ho Nikki...Please kuch toh bolo" she spoke coming out of her reverie now fully awake as she got up from her bed while Elena who was sleeping peacefully got up as well listening to Sonakshi's voice.

"Wo...Wo Maa....." spoke Nikki but was unable to speak further her cries didn't cease while on the other hand Sonakshi was getting more worried by the minute

"Maa...Kya hua Maa ko..?? Nikki...Please rona band karo aur shaant ho jao" replied Sonakshi but it had no effect on Nikki. Seeing her sister struggling to speak Riya who was standing beside her and was equally affected at the turn of events took the phone and spoke.

"Sona di....Wo...." she spoke but before she could speak further Sonakshi interrupted

"Riya... Ye Nikki ro kyun rahi hai? Aur wo Auntyji ke baarey main kya bol rahi thi?" she asked hurriedly, fear & anxiety laced in her voice.

"Sona Di...Wo Maa ko hospital le gaye hain" said Riya and right at that moment the earth beneath Sonakshi's feet slipped away as she sat with a thud on her bed.

"Kya...Hospital..Magar kyun...Achanak kya hua unhey...Poori tarah se baat batao Riya kya hua unhey?" she asked hurriedly as Elena who was watching the whole scenario immediately knew something was seriously wrong, she hurried out of the room to call Saurav.

Riya then went on to tell Sonakshi about Ishwari's ill-helath as Sonakshi was stunned into silence listening to that. She regained her composure and asked Riya to take care of herself and Nikki. Just as she cut the call Saurav and Elena entered the room.

"Sona, kya hua? Tu itni ghabrayi hui kyun hai?" asked Saurav seeing the color that had drained off Sonakshi's face.

"Dada, Wo Auntyji...Auntyji ko hospital le gaye hain" she said as both Saurav and Elena looked shocked hearing the news.

"Kya, Lekin kyun? Achanak kya hi gaya?" asked Elena as Sonakshi informed them about her ill-health. "Tuney Dev Babu ko call kiya?" asked Saurav as Sonakshi nodded her head in a No. She picked up her phone and tried calling Dev but it was unreachable as her fear increased.

"Dada, Unka phone nahi lag raha hai. Humey abhi hospital jaana hoga. Dev wahan akele hongey. Unhey meri zaroorat hogi Dada. Please Jaldi chaliye" she said haphazardly as Saurav agreed trying to calm her down. Asking Elena to inform Asha and Bijoy the brother-sister duo proceeded to the hospital.

Dev was sitting morosely on the hospital chair. The talk with the Dr. Sinha baffled him to no end and shook him to the core, he could not understand where he went wrong that his mother took such a drastic step. So lost was he in his thoughts that he did not hear Mamaji who had called him a couple of times.

"Dev...Dev...Kya hua beta? Tu itna chup kyun hai?" asked Mamaji who had just returned after informing the sisters about Ishwari's health. He kept his hand on Dev's shoulder who looked at him, tears were brimming from his eyes.

"Kya hua Dev, Tu ro kyun raha hai? Kya kaha Doctor ne?" asked Mamaji as he panicked seeing that Dev was crying

"Main achha beta nahi hu Mamaji, main ek accha beta nahi ban paya" he said as Mamaji hugged him trying to calm him down unable to understand why he said so.

"Dev pehle tu shaant ho jaa aur bata ki Doctor ne kya kaha?" asked Mamaji as Dev calmed down and narrated his conversation with the Doctor.

"Kya Hua Dr. Sinha. Aap mujhsey akele baat kyun karna Chahtey they? Sab theek hai na?" asked Dev in a panicked tone as he sat down in the doctor's cabin

"Mr.Dixit, Please calm down" said Dr.Sinha

"Dr. Sinha, Please bataiye mujhey ki baat kya hai?" asked Dev again

"Mr.Dixit, Maybe it's too early to say. Lekin mujhey lagta hai ki Mrs.Ishwari Dixit kisi baat ko leke kaafi pareshan hai" said Dr. Sinha as Dev's eyes widened in surprise listening to him

"Matlab, aap ko aisa kyun lagata hai Doctor?" asked Dev, confusion etched on his face

"Actually Mr.Dixit, Mrs.Dixit ki tabiyat sleeping pills ke overdose se kharab hui hai. Aur jahan tak mujhey pata hai Dr.Sonakshi ne unhey sleeping pills lene se mana kiya hai right?" said Dr. Sinha as Dev was left tongue tied, he could not understand why his mother had suddenly taken sleeping pills, that too in such a high quantity.

"Haan Dr. Sinha, Dr. Bose ne Maa ko sleeping pills lene se mana kiya hai. Lekin unhoney aisey achanak kyun kiya. Kyunki jahan tak mujhey pata hai itbey dino main unhoney kabhi aisa nahi kiya" replied Dev as he looked confused.

"That's the point Mr.Dixit. There is something which is worrying Mrs.Dixit due to which she took the pills and I am sure it's not suddenly that she is worried about it, she might be distressed due to it for quiet some time now" said Dr. Sinha as Dev was gobsmacked, all these days his mother was worried the effect of which resulted in her taking sleeping pills that too in high quantity and he did not have any idea about it, did he fail as a Son that he was not able to see his mother's worry.

"Don't worry Mr. Dixit, Mrs.Dixit is fine now. But you need to find out what's worrying her else it might affect her health" said Dr. Sinha as Dev nodded wordlessly as he exited the Doctor's room after receiving a few instructions about Ishwari's medication.

As Dev finished, Mamaji was left speechless, his fear was coming true. All these days he had seen his sister struggle with her fear and inner turmoil and though he had tried many times to allay to those yet his sister could not come out of it. He had wanted to speak to Dev about it but was stopped by Ishwari but no was time for him to speak to Dev as it not only involved Ishwari's life but also the lives of Dev and Sonakshi.

"Kya hua Mamaji, Aap chup kyun hai?" asked Dev seeing Mamaji quiet.

"Dev, Mujhey shayad pata hai ki Ishwari pareshan kyun hai?" he said as Dev was left tongue-tied once again, his uncle knew about it but had spoken anything about it till date.

Sonakshi on the other hand was in a panicky mess, all the way through she heckled Saurav to increase the speed of his driving, her thoughts went back to the day when Dev had broken her the news of Ishwari accepting their relationship and how both had dreamed of their future together, both were happy that finally they would be together but how their world upside down as a sense of fear descended into her. Her mind went back to the conversation with her father after the day he had visited Ishwari Niwas. So lost was she on her thoughts that she did not observe that they had reached the hospital, it was only after Saurav informed her that she realized it and the very next moment she ran inside the hospital.

"Matlab? Maa kiss baat se pareshan hai? Jaldi bataiye Mamaji" said Dev hurriedly

"Dev...Beta, meri baat shaanti se sunn. Ishwari tere aur Sonakshi ke rishtey se khush nahi hai beta" he said and the world crashed for Dev right at that moment. His mother was not happy with his relationship but what perplexed him was why it was so. Sonakshi had a good relationship with her then why did his mother not accept their relationship, was there something that was more than it met the eye.

"Kya? Ye aap Kya keh rahey hai Mamaji? Aapko aisa Maa....he said but before he could continue he heard someone call his name.

"Deeevvv..." said Sonakshi as she reached them, she was panting and trying to catch her breath as Dev and Mamaji got up.

Dev moved towards her as Sonakshi ran towards him and hugged him tightly trying to take away his pain, she knew how broken Dev was at that moment and was ready to do anything to bring him out of his pain. And as if on cue Dev broke down completely as tears flowed unabashedly from his eyes wetting Sonakshi's Dress, but he was just mumbling just one line repeatedly.

"I LOVE YOU SONAKSHI, I REALLY LOVE YOU. I CANNOT LOSE YOU, I CANNOT LOSE MAA, I CANNOT LOSE YOU BOTH"
