Swati pov.

Me and Dhriti were so relieved when dinner went fine and bhaiya didn't tell anything about kitchen incident.
After having dinner i was looking out from window of our room thinking how to tell dhriti about atharva.

Me and Atharva met during high school and we instantly clicked. We became good friends and then a couple. He knows everything about my family and their behaviour towards me and Dhriti. He thinks of Dhriti as his sister. He was asking me since college days to tell about our relationship to dhriti but i was scared. Now i think its the high time that i tell Dhriti about everything.

I was waiting for Dhriti in our room. After an hour she entered her room with a smile on her face. She looked at my tensed face and asked me-

Dhriti- Dii what happened are you fine? Is there something you wanna talk about...

I was hesitant to speak but i somehow gathered confidence and told her..

Swati- Yes dhriti i am absolutely fine.. but i want to talk to you about something

Dhriti- Yaa dii tell me what happened..

Swati- No actually i dont want to talk about something , i want you to meet someone.. Since tomorrow is saturday which is your holiday so we will be going out tomorrow.. ok

Dhriti Pov.

I don't know what happened to dii.. it seems that she is lost somewhere. Before i can ask anything further or reply to her she covered herself with sheet and laid on her side of bed.
It seems that there is someone special whom she is talking about. This is not first time i am meeting her friend. I have met a lot of her friends. They all are so sweet and humble. Some even think me as their own sister. She was never this confused while making me meet her friends.

I am eagerly waiting for tomorrow to meet that friend of her. I dozed off thinking about tomorrow's meeting with her friend.

The next day i woke up when sun rays directly fell on my face. I groaned in frustration , today also i forgot to close curtains. I woke up and looked that other side of bed is empty.
Maybe she has gone to take a bath. I sighed in relief that today is weekend and I don't have to attend college. My phone pinged with a notification. I opened phone confusingly who will message in the early morning. But the message on the screen bought a smile on my face.

"Manan- Good morning sleeping beauty ❤ "

It is indeed a good morning. I was dancing mentally. Dii came out from bathroom. She asked to get ready as we are going out today at 12. I looked at clock it was still 8 am . I got up and went to bathroom for morning routine. When i came back to my room dii was looking at some time-table . She is always busy with the school work or some checking stuff of her students. But it gives her relief and also it helps to solve our money problems.

I freshened up and we both went downstairs. Dad and bade papa were having their after breakfast tea sitting in the hall. All our brothers were watching some cricket match with their breakfast plates in hands. Mom and badi maa were in kitchen.

We both went to kitchen took our food and came to dining table. After having our food dii asked mothers that can we go out. They both asked her to take permission from our fathers. She then went to hall and asked our fathers.

Third person's pov.

Swati- Papa... Chachu.. i want to ask you something

Suraj Malhotra (swati's father)-
(replied rudely)
What are you doing here.. don't you know how important this match is going on..

Dhriti- Bade papa.. actually we want to..... (she started stammering due to their fear)

Shivansh Malhotra (dhriti's father)-
See if you want to ask something, first go and learn to speak first... Dont know what i am going to do with you. Cant even do a single thing without mistake. Now don't even know how to speak. (he spoke with disinterest)

Dhriti was upset with her father's outburst but calmed herself as it was normal. Swati also got scared but spoke again.

Swati- I came here to take your permission about something..
(Just when she was going to complete her sentence suddenly the team lost their wicket)

Suraj - (spoke angrily) First bad luck for us now your bad luck is effecting team also.. We have only weekend to enjoy.. can't you both sit quietly in your room.. why you both have to disturb us on weekends also.. IDIOTS.. such a BURDEN on the family..

Swati and Dhriti were shocked by his outburst. They both were looking down with tears glistening in their eyes. Their brothers were looking at them with emotionless face. Swati and Dhriti both looked at Rakshit's face thinking that he would support his sisters but he also turned his face away. He was feeling guilty for not taking stand for his sisters but he didn't has enough guts to speak against his father. Swati knew that they are not going to get any support. After few seconds her father again spoke

Suraj- Now are you both going to stand here only for the whole day. Tell what do you want to talk about..

Swati- (in a fearful voice) Dad actually we have to buy something for Dhriti's upcoming college project. We wanted to ask your permission to go out for buying some stationary and project material. Also i have to discuss some topics with my fellow teacher . Can we both go ??

Suraj- You both can go wherever you want. We dont care. Just be back before dinner time for preparing dinner. If you dont then forget about food for two days.

Swati nodded in response. She took her purse, held dhriti's hand and came out of her house. They both started walking towards main road. Both were silent as they were processing whatever happened few minutes ago. It was normal for them but still it hurts when the people who are supposed to protect and love you , think of you as burden. They both took auto and swati gave him address.

They both reached XYZ cafe. Swati entered first and started looking for Atharva. She found him sitting on their favourite place and took dhriti there. She gave him slight smile which didn't reach her eyes and took seat in the front of him.

Atharva's pov.

I am here sitting in the cafe since half an hour waiting for my love and my soon to be sister-in-law 😉.

Finally me and swati are going to reveal about our relation to dhriti. She is her only family in real. I know whatever the two sisters are going through in their house. I sometimes think how can any parent be so rude to their own child. I have never left swati alone whenever she us upset. She always talk about Dhriti. I have never met her but somewhere in my heart i think of her as my younger sister. I am nervous but also excited to meet her for the first time.

Swati has messaged me an hour ago that she is going to leave for cafe along with dhriti in few minutes. I was going to call her again when i saw her entering the cafe looking for me. Her eyes moved to our favourite spot where i was sitting and she started moving towards me along with Dhriti. She gave me a slight smile and sat on the chair opposite to me.

Both sisters were looking very upset. I think something again happened with their family. Before we can start talking i ordered their favourite chocolate pastry and coffee for the three of us. They both were silent and didn't speak anything. When our order came i told them to eat first after that we will talk. Their lips curved into beautiful smile looking at pastry.

Swati mouthed me a 'Thank you' . I knew that it will change their mood. After eating their mood changed a little. Swati gave my basic introduction to dhriti. Dhriti looked at me with raised eyebrow. We started talking for the few time dhriti was not participating in our talks after sometime she got comfortable and started talking like chatterbox.

I eyed swati to tell dhriti about us. Swati cleared her throat and looked at Dhriti.

Swati- Dhriti actually i want to tell you something. We both , me and Atharva met in high school . We became best friends and now we are in relationship. I didn't want to hide it from you but i was scared to tell you. Don't get angry with me. I am really sorry for hiding it from you.

Dhriti was looking at us with strange emotions. Me and swati both shared an eye-lock. Now i was more scared looking at Dhriti's expression. I don't want to hurt her.

Dhriti's pov.

When we reached cafe dii took me to her friend. He was a guy of around dii's age. Dii gave him a slight smile and took seat in front of him. She gestured me to sit next to her. I was still in shock with bade papa's and dad's outburst. All incidents were moving in my mind like a film. I came out of trance when waiter served three chocolate pastries along with the coffee.

That guy asked to eat pastry first and then we will do introduction and all other talks.

After having our eatables dii gave me his introduction and said that he is her friend Atharva. She said that he knows about me. The guy seemed very genuine and caring. After talking for sometime he gestured something to my sister and they both shared an eye-lock. I noticed something fishy but didn't say anything.

Suddenly dii spoke with hesitation that she wanted to talk about something. She revealed that they both are couple. I was surprised to hear that and i didn't know what to say. Seeing my expressions they both started panicking. She started ranting sorry...
Suddenly i hugged her to stop her rant. She was shocked by my gesture.

Swati(spoke in worried tone)- "Dhriti are you okay. You are not angry right?"

"Of course dii why would i be angry on you. I am really really happy for you. Finally you found the one for you. You deserve all the happiness ❤️."
I spoke happily.

Dii spoke a bit relaxed now " I was very scared dhriti. I didn't know how will you react. But i am glad that you are ok with it."

"I am super happy dii. And you Mr. Atharva you better take care of my sister or i wouldn't mind putting some prank on you. You can ask about my pranks from my sister."
I spoke sternly.

Atharva replied dramatically - " Oh my highness!! I am very grateful that you accepted me as your sister's partner. I promise that i will take care of her and will never give any chance of  complain. I will take care of her and treat her like queen."

I played along with him and spoke like a queen " You better do that. Now bring me some chocolates as offerings. "

" Sure my highness. I am poor man. So i can afford this much only. I will bring more next time. Please have some mercy on me this time."
He said offering some of my favourite chocolates 🍫

Swati dii couldn't stop laughing at our conversation and soon was joined by me and Atharva.

We three went to a nearby garden and i was telling Atharva about my college.

Atharva asked about the reason behind their sad mood in the morning. My and dii's  expressions got changed. We looked at each other. Atharva thought that it was wrong time to ask. He was going to change the topic when i told him about morning incident. He got very angry but didn't say anything as he know that it will make the girls more upset.

Swati dii spoke " It is normal. We shouldn't let such incidents effect us. We are happy as long we have each other. Right Dhriti?"

 
I didn't reply anything just nodded her head in response.

Atharva- You both don't worry. Everything will be alright. It will take time but don't lose hope. Swati you know that you can talk to me anytime. And Dhriti i know we just met but i assure you whenever you need me i will be there. I don't know about anyone else ,but today you have got me as your friend and brother. You are just like my sister which i never got.

I  side hugged him suddenly taking him by surprise and said - "Thank you so much bhai."

Atharva hugged me back and said-
"Finally i have got a sister. Now we both can team up together and play pranks on your sister 😉"

He hi-fied with me🖐 and winked at Swati 😉.

Soon it was evening. Atharva dropped them to their house safely. I was feeling very happy that i have got A NEW FRIEND and hopefully a brother too.
