Dhriti's pov

After dinner we went to our respective rooms. Yes you heard it right i had my own room in dii-jiju's apartment..
Reason?? Well it's better to ask them only 🙄🙄

I was not able to sleep and was looking outside from Window laying on bed. After few minutes i found a hand caressing my head.
I didn't get scared infact the touch was giving me love and warmth.

I turned and saw aunty (oops Maa 🙈) sitting on the other side caressing my head lovingly. She smiled at me and patted her lap telling me to put my head on her lap.

She started caressing my head again
"Couldn't sleep ??"
She asked with a smile adoring her face.

I just hummed.

"You know dhriti.. today i am very happy you know we always wanted a daughter...
And with god's blessings i got 2, one in the form of daughter-in-law other in the form of daughter only.."
Saying so she kissed my head.

I was looking at her with twinkling eyes. On one hand there were persons who wanted to get rid of us despite us being their own blood. And on the other hand there are these people who didn't have any relation with us few years back but still showered us with all love ❤️❤️

"You know after when Atharva was born we were very happy.. i was over the moon but my dear husband was little bit off.. He wanted a princess.💜
Later on he came along... He loves Atharva a lot but still..
I still remember before Atharva's birth he has brought frocks of different colours as he was sure that it would be his princess..
He used to make Atharva wear all princesses frocks which he bought earlier and Atharva's room was also painted in pink😂😂"
She started laughing remembering paa's antics.

"After Atharva grew up we tried again tried for a baby.. but couldn't due to my complications..
He didn't want to put my life in stake.
He used to smile looking at his friends' daughters but i can see his emotions well behind that smile....
When Atharva introduced Swati to us he got happy.. He used to pamper her with her everything she wants... He smiled for the real time..
Then you came.."
She was looking at me with moist eyes.

"When you came he was over the moon ❤️ He was grinning and smiling whole day.. After listening to your family issues he ordered Atharva to marry Swati as soon as they complete study... He was sure that Swati would be safe... But about you he was more tensed...
He was even planning to adopt you..
He called his lawyers and asked them to prepare adoption papers ...
He was adamant..."
I was shocked to hear all that.

"The day you were in hospital he was inconsolable...
I haven't seen him this tensed ever..
He loves you a lot even more than he loves Atharva 😂"
She laughed a bit and a smile came to my face.

"You are strong and we are always with you ❤️😘"

"Maa.. i love you ❤️" I hugged her.

"Maa.. what to do when you are confused to do something??
My mind and heart is saying to do it but maybe it's wrong"
I asked her.

"Beta.. if you want to do something for yourself do it.. but always follow the right path"

"Maa... I want to forget my past.. but thing which i am going to do is difficult"
I asked her in confusion.

"It's high time... You have to think for yourself.. sometimes being selfish is not bad...
I know you can never hurt anyone"
She replied clearing my doubts..

I smiled and slept in her lap.
When i got up i found myself sleeping holding maa's hand and she was beside me.

Someone knocked the door lightly.
I got up releasing maa's hand and opened the door. Paa was standing with a bright smile on his face.

"Good morning princess"

"Morning paa.." i gave a polite smile.

He entered the room and i turned to see maa already wide awake.

"Hey.. you were in her room i thought you had gone to temple"
He asked maa.

She gave him a smile
"I was with my daughter"

"I thought i was the first one to wish her but here you were having your own mother-daughter moments"
Paa said pissed off.

I smile at them and hugged maa
"Good morning maa"

"Good morning baccha" she replied kissing my head.

"What about this father who got up early in the morning to wish you"
He replied with his hands folded.

I remembered last night talks. I went towards and gave him a side hug
" I love you paa.. thanks for everything"🤗

He grinned and kissed me on the forhead.

They both went towards their room and i went to freshen up.
After taking a bath i reached hall and saw everyone was waiting for breakfast. I helped dii and we both also sat for breakfast.

After breakfast everyone went to their respective works.
I went to my apartment as i was planning to implement what i was discussing with maa.

I called someone.

"Listen i want each and every information about this property in Mohali."

Other person- "Mam what do you want to know??"

"I want to its price, sale value and other each and every information.."

Other person- "Why mam?? Who is it??"

I spoke rudely-. "Just do your fu**ing work and don't question me."

"Sorry mam"

"Hmm.. i want this information in one hour and I don't want anyone to know about this."

I ended the call and started working for my next meeting. I have taken off today also i have to do some work😏

After an hour i heard my phone beeping. It was message of information which i required.

INR 6 crore

I smirked and called him again..

"Hmm.. Good job...
Now  i want you to purchase this property on the name of Mr. Suraj & Shivansh Malhotra .. and also give them my message"

"Okay mam.. Think your work done."

"I know.. your amount is also transferred "

I was scared but i couldn't be able to move on further without this step.
I was still thinking about stunt i have just pulled when i got call from jiju.

"Come to home now..."
It was an order. I can sense his anger and gulped. I should have been get myself prepared for this.

I sighed , took my car keys and drove to their home. As i entered i saw dii and maa looking worried, paa sitting on sofa and jiju was walking in anger as well as in tension.

"Hii everyone.." I was not sure whether i was audible to anyone or not.

Jiju turned towards me and looked with tensed face.
Paa said "Come here princess... Sit"

I took slow steps and sat on sofa next to him. Everyone was silent.

"Is anyone willing to tell what the hell is going on..?"
Dii spoke breaking silence.

"You better ask your sister...
Dhriti care to explain what stunt have you pulled??"
I looked down at carpet to avoid him.

"What is it Atharva?? You are scaring me" She spoke in worried tone.

"Her account has been debited with amount 6 cr leaving only 10000 behind... "
His eyes never leaving me.
I can look dii's and maa's shocked faces.

"She has bought a property in Mohali on the name of Malhotras with a note  'Our Debt is over now' "
Dii was still processing information.

"She made sure that no one comes to know its her but i got call from Stella who handles her account that 6 cr. has been debited  and got call from Rakshit regarding that property..
So i related them..."
I was still looking down

"Why??" He came near me and asked in strict voice.

"I wanted to move on.... First thing was to clearing off my past... I didn't want to be a burden anymore..
So i did it...
I cleared my all debts..
Its over now"
I replied with heavy yet firm voice.

"But Dhriti..."
He wasn't able to complete his words.

"Enough now!!... Dhriti calm down.. its alright"
Paa said in serious tone.

"Dad... You are supporting her in this.. Unbelievable..."
He said to paa.

"My daughter is elder enough to take her own decisions.. she did what she felt.. there is nothing wrong in it..
End of the topic!!
Dhriti you are staying here today.. will meet you all during dinner time.."
Paa said in stern voice ,got up from his seat and went towards her room.

Jiju went towards his room and banged the door shut..
I also returned to my room leaving a still shocked ladies in the hall.
