chapter 18 (part two finale)
Zero drove to the woods in Staten Island alongside Genevieve one week later, whether they were training to shoot the gun range to learn how to shoot pretty well as long as the battle would come.
When they arrived, Genevieve smelled like victory. She couldn't wait to shoot at the range, but the difference was that she had to teach him to shoot better. She would think about it if he got shot throughout the street; she was going to protect him.
Genevieve: But the problem is, you need to learn more about how to shoot. You shoot the target without missing shots, but I took that for my first lesson.
Zero: *hearing*
Genevieve: *takes out the gun* Hold this.
Zero: *grabs the gun*
Genevieve: *walks over to the tree and puts the paper to pin on top of the paper*
Zero: *reloading the gun*
Genevieve: *walks over back to him* I heard you reloading.
Zero: Obviously, are you sure we want to do this for Kendall as long as those morons are coming around us?
Genevieve: Yes, we are. After that, we'll stop by the cemetery to see him. Because I was devastated, and I was just like, what the hell is going on?
Zero: *hearing*
Genevieve: As long as we put our work together before we jumped in.
Zero: *gives her back with the gun*
Genevieve: *shoots the paper once*
Zero: *watching her*
Genevieve: Keep an eye on the target. *gives it to him with the gun*
Zero: *holding on to the target right in front of the paper and beginning to shoot, it went in*
Genevieve: *looks at him*
Zero: *keeps going twice*
Genevieve: *enjoyed*
Meanwhile, Chandler walks around the town until Vince sees her while he is driving in the car. He pulls right next to her slowly as he follows her; as she can hear the car, he turns around and sees him.
Chandler: Vince, am I lost or something?
Vince: No. I'd stop by to see you real quick. I'm on my way back home after doing something in NYC. But I only care about what you've been doing to your cases.
Chandler: Believe me, Vince. There's a lot of shit going on in my cases. You know what I felt like; my team and I will win the battle throughout these cases.
Vince: I heard so much crazy as shit is happening in NY right here, right now. It would help if you didn't die out on any of these streets.
Chandler: That's exactly what you've made the excellent ass point; I couldn't risk anything to lose my job after that happens to me.
Vince: I wouldn't turn myself back either. I could care about this town.
Chandler: *hearing*
Vince: If you want to be honest with me, will I not miss your show? Your eyes will believe you in tears when you kill the script.
Chandler: Now that you've discussed all of that, there is only one condition: if you miss this show one more time, we will not speak to each other again.
Vince: Very funny because I'm rooting for you. *walks closer to her*
Chandler: You are a real pain in the ass. *smiles softly*
Vince: *kisses her*
Chandler: *kisses him back*
Vince and Chandler: *keeps kissing at each other*
Officer Albert was driving to the cop car with Officer Gary while drinking coffee since Gary couldn't wait to tell him a secret after all.
Gary: I've been tired of this catching those people hanging around these days, man.
Albert: *sighs* So do I.
Gary: I don't think you just don't get it.
Albert: What are you talking about?
Gary: Gennifer.
Albert: *sighs* This bitch.
Gary: She came to the office yesterday; she told her story, "You are lucky this will be a final warning." That's what she said.
Albert: She didn't say that.
Gary: Of course she did.
Albert: *hearing*
Gary: Here's your letter from the lieutenant. *gives the paper to him*
Albert: What for?
Gary: You're just fired.
Albert: *hearing*
Gary: Get the fuck out of the car.
Albert: *gets out of the car*
Gary: *drives away*
Later that night in the recording studio, Veronica sat on the chair without writing the book while thinking about Isabel; she wanted Isabel to hear her voice as soon as her debut album, or even radio station, came to the future. Meanwhile, Eddie kept playing more tunes while Veronica closed the book, as she couldn't remember thinking about Isabel until she broke down.
Veronica: Eddie, don't do it.
Eddie: What?
Veronica: Don't do it, OK?
Eddie: What's the problem? *sits right next to her*
Veronica: I can't do this without Isabel.
Eddie: I heard you.
Veronica: *tearing*
Eddie: You've been thinking about yourself when it comes first.
Veronica: What are you talking about?
Eddie: You stepped to the game, singing your vocal was good. We have come down in the studio together to dedicate Isabel when he can hear your song on the radio. He's in heaven right now.
Veronica: I wonder if I could trust you just like we had a first kiss.
Eddie: *hearing*
Veronica: You and I were in a good dynamic already. You've handled me in the next step because you're the next Isabel, and that's why you are still here.
Eddie: *kisses her*
Veronica: *kisses him back*
Eddie: Open up your book, and let me do my thing. *looks in her eyes*
Veronica: *smiles and grabs the book until she opens the book right in front of his eyes*
Genevieve, Zero, Walter, and Hadley are working together on the same products throughout the street to get more money for savings. They split up briefly before returning to the same spot together.
Walter: I'm sure as we pull up all of that money as we could, but honestly, I would save it up; I do not have to put in all the dirty work that much. I know you were getting the hell out of the town for a while, Genny.
Hadley: I just don't want her to leave.
Genevieve: I have to. I need to do something important myself.
Hadley: I get it.
Zero: She's leaving this fall. We're friends since we're putting up to this. She will learn the different ways until she comes back soon.
Genevieve: I love you, weirdos.
All: We love you, too.
Genevieve: *hearing and sees the car pulled over faster until she sees Blake and the crew begin shooting* Oh shit!
Hadley: *runs away with them and hides*
Zero: *takes out the gun while looking at them to begin shooting at them*
Genevieve: *doing the same thing with Zero*
Hadley: *didn't see it coming for Blake while hiding*
Blake: *keeps shooting at the other crew*
Hadley: What are you into, Blake??
Walter: Shh, shut up and don't say a word. *looks at Hadley*
Hadley: *looks at Walter*
Walter: If you are talking stupid, you will fucked up.
Hadley: *hearing*
Genevieve: *shoots one person*
Blake: This isn't your town anymore; it's mine! *keeps shooting*
Zero: *keeps shooting*
Joey and the boys: *arriving while shooting the crew to protect Genevieve and their friends*
Joey: Zero! Zero, over here!
Zero: *sees him and comes over to him*
Blake: We have to go! *heading back in the car with the crew*
Genevieve: They're getting away!
Hadley: Genny, let them go! *hiding away with Walter*
Genevieve: Joey, what's taking you so damn long?
Hadley: *sees Teddy on the ground* Oh my god! *runs over to him to check up with him*
Zero: *sees him and does the same thing* Teddy?
Teddy: *breathing heavily after getting shot multiple times*
Genevieve: Snake bitches just shot him!
Joey: *looks at them*
Hadley: Stay with us. Stay with us, Ted.
Teddy: *still breathing heavily*
*October 1991*
After Teddy had been killed in the last couple of months ago, they were dedicated to him to visit the cemetery twice when they were praying together. Genevieve already left the town while Zero and the others are taking over to the city.
Genevieve traveled back to Philadelphia to return to her family, and she was most likely to stay there to get rid of anything of her for a while longer. She still had their phone contacts with her friends to call while she was out of there.
Gennifer is moving to Philadelphia for a rental apartment; she has a lot of money to save for the apartment due every month. She feels free to leave New York whenever she does what she will do at the next level.
In New York, Warren is stuck in prison in a cell while reading the magazine until one of the prisoners shows up in the cell right in front of Warren to begin the attack and stab them with a painful scream. After they killed Warren, the prisoners separated ways while one of them hid the pocket knife since the guard looked at them and enjoyed it.
Later that night, Frankie talks to someone on the phone while he's in the car and parked anywhere on the spot; he spends more time on the call for the next half an hour; he talks about getting something from him as soon as he hung up and trying to continue driving until someone pulled the trigger and killed him from a drive-by.
The next day, in the recording studio, Veronica drives there as she gets out of the car to prepare for another song with a bit of surprise after Eddie tells her the secret.
Veronica: *comes to the studio and sees Eddie until she gets surprised to see Mariah Carey* Oh my god...
Mariah: Eddie sent me here. He did a promising talent. Eddie and I just talked about you, and you are killing the track.
Veronica: Thanks, Mariah.
Mariah: I heard you want to do one song with me.
Veronica: Yes, yes! I do.
Eddie: *looks at them*
Mariah: Show me what you got.
Veronica: I need a second before I go in the booth; I've listened to your new album, which came out last month. You're already changing the game. I wonder if you are going to get Grammy's awards soon? *goes to the booth*
Mariah: I've got to see. *follows her*
Eddie: *felt relieved and looking at them*
Joey met Bobby Diggs in New York when they met each other before as if they were hanging around on the street; he listened to Bobby's conversation about the music of the group Wu-Tang Clan"; while spending time for lunch in a Chinese restaurant.
Joey: Don't screw your music up, or it'll make it worse. Sometimes, it happens on these streets.
Bobby: My boys and I, we're protecting the city as long as I worked the music, that happens. I heard it was drive-by some shit.
Joey: It almost got me, too, B. That's all I got for me to stay out of the streets. Besides, I've got my group with me to put up all helping throughout the city.
Bobby: Don't screw your life away, too. Because if you do, don't let something you do for fifty seconds get you 20 years.
Joey: I got you.
At high school, Flynt and Moby hang out in the cafeteria, sharing the same table and eating their lunch. The new student, Elias, shows up to the cafeteria. He looks for the table to sit at until Flynt recognizes him and goes over to him.
Flynt: Elias!
Elias: Hey, Flynt. *gives him a hand with palm*
Flynt: *doing the same* Follow me. *goes back to the table with Moby*
Elias: *follows him*
Three boys gathered at the table together when their friendship began; Flynt and Elias have known each other since Elias was in sixth grade a few years ago, and it will make everything different against the three of them for the rest of the semester.
