~~~~~ Warning, a bit of cringe ahead. Yes, I know, now you do as well.~~~~~~~~~
"Now, Sharon, since my grandson has been such an ass, why don't you tell us what you would like in order to marry him."
"Well, after that lovely display of contempt, I will require that he treat me with respect. Not just him either, his family and any friends I meet and the servants he likely has. Most servants take their attitude from their employer. I will not tolerate being treated like this day in and day out at my residence. At least I assume if I marry him I would be expected to live with him."
"Yes, you will be expected to reside with me and yes I do have servants. I have a rather large house and they are all needed to care for it. I will make sure that they will treat you with respect as the lady of the house."
"Uh huh, well, since you showed such stellar respect when I came in I also request that I be allowed to add cameras to the security and send the footage to a secondary location so that it won't be tampered with."
Tristan sits there and blinks at her words. It hadn't sunk in when he read and she told him that she has a degree in computer science and cyber security. "I already have cameras set up, but you are more than welcome to look them over and add more if you think it necessary. I don't think it necessary to send the footage to a secondary location, but if it will make you feel more secure, than you will be more than welcome to do so."
"Thank you, I will. I am currently a virgin. I will give you proof of such if you wish and will require a clean bill of health from you before marriage. I have no desire to receive any STDs during our marriage. Also, if there are any children I will not be denied visitation. I would prefer custody, but being able to visit every day will do.
"One other thing, there will be no extramarital affairs whatsoever with either of us."
"There will be no children from this marriage. I have no intentions of consummating this marriage with you. I will give you the doctor clean bill of health for me as you will be giving me the proof of you innocence, but neither is necessary for me."
"You do realize that stating that you don't wish to consummate the marriage may make it invalid." Penny says once more pursing her lips. She very much would like to have a great grand child and can't think of a better mother than Penny.
Tristan looks over to the lawyers.
Penny's lawyer looks embarrassed by the whole thing and is looking down so he doesn't see the look Tristan and Penny are giving him. It's Sharon's lawyer that answers them. "It will be a legal marriage even if it isn't consummated."
"As for every one treating you with respect. I agree with that and will enforce it if necessary. What else would you like?" Tristan can't believe that she's not asking for a whole list of expensive things and just skips over the being faithful part.
"The only monetary request I have is for my brother's medical costs and funeral to be paid. I will request that the bill be paid and the cost for the final testing before the marriage takes place. The sooner this is done, the sooner my brother will be allowed to find peace once the machines are turned off."
"That will be a given.  As soon as the contract is written up and signed I will go with you and pay the bill and the cost of the testing still needed. Is that all you would have of me?"
"I can't think of any thing more, so yeah."
Tristan just blinks and he rearranges his thoughts. "You have asked for very little. This is what I'll provide on my part of the contract. I'm going to ask you to quit work, so I will be providing an allowance for you to spend however you wish. I think a million a month should do. I will also provide you with a credit card should you wish to buy even more. I believe you have your drivers license so I will also buy you a car, that will be in your name and will be part of the divorce settlement in three years. Any money you haven't spent from your allowance will also be going with you. I will be paying a decent payout of no less than two million when the divorce goes through. Any gifts you receive will be your personal property and will be going with you when the divorce goes through."
Sharon looks a bit shocked at the generosity of Tristan, but something is telling her that all won't be lovely.
"I think the allowance is more than generous, I don't really need the car, public transport is fine."
"You will be watched closely as my wife. It would never do for you to be seen using public transportation. You will have your own car and if you prefer you can use the limo and driver."
"I will need to spend as much time as possible with my brother."
"Understood, once he passes you will be free to spend your days how you wish. My mother has many charities and sits on many boards if you would like to join her on those."
"I won't make any commitments like that until after my brother is at peace and my grieving is done."
"Acceptable. I am sorry that you are losing your only family. He sounds like an incredible person."
"The best there could possibly be. As long as those are the only things you require I will be willing to stay in this marriage for how long did you say?" Sharon didn't want to say the wrong amount. She has a feeling that three years will be three years too much, but if he states five she'll stick it out. Unless he breaches the contract. Then all hell will be let loose. There is more than one reason she wanted the extra security. Nothing like video proof of a broken contract and since every one that lives, works, or visits the house knows that there are video cameras they know they are being filmed. It will be admissible in court.
"Three years," with her agreement Tristan looks to the lawyers. "We will get it written up all legal right and tight and send it to your lawyer. You will then need to look it over and have any changes sent to us. Once that is done we'll bring it here and you both can sign with a notary we'll bring. At that time you will be able to start fulfilling the contract so the marriage will go forward.
Tristan turns to Sharon, "We don't really have time for a full blown wedding. What would you like?"
Sharon shrugs, "It's not like it's going to be permanent. We can have the signing of the marriage license here and have the words said where Miss Penny can see and hear it. My brother wouldn't be able to join us either way."
"You will at least have a honeymoon. That I insist upon." Penny states forcefully.
"Penny, I won't be in any mood for sightseeing and the no sex means that there is no need for a honeymoon."
"A wedding trip then, after you are done mourning. Tristan you will take a week off and take her wherever she wants to go. That is something I will demand or this contract is breached."
Her lawyer just nods and adds that in. Tristan gives his grandmother a long suffering look and Sharon just shakes her head.
"Now, I really do have important business elsewhere and must leave. Have that contract ready by tomorrow and to my lawyer no later than ten. I want to have this all out of the way by tomorrow after noon." Tristan says before picking up his briefcase and bending over to give his grandmother a kiss on the cheek.
Everyone else waits for the door to close behind him. "Now, Sharon, let's talk about what you are going to do about this ass that basically killed your brother and the ass that walked out of this room should he break the contract." Penny says and Sharon can't help but let out a little chuckle at her words.
Penny hands Sharon the envelope or one of the ones from the previous day. "This is all the evidence you should need to take him to court and recoup at least enough to pay Tristan back for the medical and funeral costs. I think it is likely that you will also get some for pain and suffering as well. It's just a shame that the system is afraid to prosecute someone of this social standing. But the judge will take this one. He's a friend of the family and he doesn't like the jackass that killed your brother."
"I can get started on the paperwork to take him to court just as soon as I get back to the office. I can file the paperwork and the marriage license at the same time if you would like." He hopes that Tristan breaks the contract so that he can take him to court on her behalf. It might take three years, but he has no doubts that Tristan and those around him will give plenty of ammunition for pain and suffering as well as the broken contract. He has no clue how Tristan will go three years without having sex. Tristan has never been able to go longer than a week without sex since they were teens.
"That would be lovely." Sharon breaks into his thoughts. "You won't have a problem if I send the footage of the security directly to you and a cloud account you have?"
The lawyer smiles, "I have no problems with that at all." He will get to watch the breaching of the contract as it happens every day.
