|•Chapter 1•|
8 years later...
Tsílpey ululated and hooted as she flew. Neteyam and Lo'ak by her side. This was Neteyam and Lo'ak's first mission. She has been on a few before, on the ground. But now she was in the air as a caution because of Lo'ak.
Tsílpey's Ikran, Ley'taw gave out a roar. She quickly patted his side, she looked quickly at her Purple and Black Ikran.
She looked back up and the wind hit them in the face. Her black hair flowed in the wind. "Ground team, go!" Jake said in the comm.
"Do you see anything Neteyam, Lo'ak?" Tsílpey asked.
"Nothing yet again! It's so boring up here can't we go down to the ground?" Lo'ak asked annoyed.
"No I was given orders to watch over you two and make sure you down go to the battle ground." Tsílpey replied.
"Of course Dad sent you to babysit us." Lo'ak rolled his eyes.
"Because he doesn't trust you Lo'ak." There was more yelling and whooping. Ikran screeched around as we flew around to spot Sky people.
I picked up my bow and aimed for a helicopter pilot as he was firing and coming closer. Just as I was going to fire it another arrow pirced the Sky person. Neytiri was ululating as she passed me. I gave out a yell.
"Bro! We have to get down there." Lo'ak said grinning.
"No way! Dad will skin us!" Neteyam replied. Lo'ak grinned before taking off to the ground.
"Lo'ak! Get back here-" Neteyam started to say then stopped. He looked at me.
"Stay here Tsílpey, you don't need to go to the battleground." Neteyam said.
"No way I'm letting you go down there by yourself. We stick togther Teyam." Tsílpey replied, she rubbed her forhead a little which resulted in some of her yellow war paint coming off.
Neteyam dove to the ground as Tsílpey followed. There was a few dust clouds in the air as they landed and quickly ran to where Lo'ak was at.
Lo'ak gave our a war cry as he held a gun in his hand that Tarsem had given him a few moments before.
"Lo'ak! Let's go!" Tsílpey said grabbed his arm. "You don't even know how to use it."
"Dad taught me." He grinned.
"Gunship's inbound! Fall back!" Jake yelled theough the comm. Tsílpey grabbed Lo'ak's hand passing Na'vi. There was a whirling noise just as Tsílpey turned around to see a helicopter firing missles at them. They were knocked into the ground, Metal and bodies flew in the air.
Tsílpey's ears were ringing as she groaned trying to move. "Lo'ak where are you? Neteyam! Tsílpey!"
Tsílpey's eyes were heavy to open, each time she breathed it felt like she couldn't. "Where Tsílpey?" She could hear Neteyam saying. "Where's my girlfriend?"
"Tsílpey!"
"Neteyam..." There were loud footsteps that suddenly stopped.
"Dad I found her!" The voice of Neteyam called out. Hands were on my side as I finally opened my eyes. Neteyam was staring down at me. "Are you okay Tsílpey?"
"I'm fine." She said and coughed. Neteyam moved her head on lay against his chest as Jake rushed over.
He checked for any major injuries and making sure she was alright before helping Tsílpey on her feet and helping her to his Ikran. "What were you thinking Tsílpey?" He asked getting in his Ikran after helping Tsílpey on.
"I'm s-sorry." Tsílpey said, her head pounding with a headache. They took off and started to head back for the Omatikaya base.
When they got to the base, Jake ululated as the Ikran's were screeching. Neteyam and Lo'ak gave our yips. Warriors were yipping. They landed on a ledge as Jake got off and then helped Tsílpey off.
Tuk ran to Neytiri as she gave her a hug. "Fall in." Jake said.
Neteyam, and Tsílpey lined up as Lo'ak was off to the side waiting for Jake's lecture. "You're supposed to be spotters. You spot bogeys and you call them in. From a distance! Does any of this sound fimiliar?" He looked over at Lo'ak before yelling at Lo'ak to line up by Neteyam. "Get here!"
Jake sighs. "I let you three fly a mission, and you disobey direct orders. Kiri, can you go help your grandmother with the wounded? Please?" He asked his daughter.
"My brother and Tsílpey is wounded." Kiri replied
"It's fine." Neteyam mumbled.
"Tuk go with her. Go!" Kiri rolled her eyes and she walked off with Tuk.
"Sir. I take full responsibility." Neteyam said as he held out his hand.
Yeah, you do. Tsílpey does too. Because you two are the oldest. You have to act like it." Jake replied.
"Ma Jake, your son is actually bleeding. Tsílpey too." Neytiri said moving her head to the side.
"Mother, it's fine. I..." Neteyam started before Jake cut him off.
"Just go and get patched up. Go on, dismissed." Jake tells Neteyam. Neteyam sighed as he left with Neytiri. Now it was just Lo'ak and Tsílpey.
"You do understand that you almost got your brother and Tsílpey killed." Jake said in a low voice
"Yes, sir." Lo'ak said quietly.
"You're grounded. No flying for a month. Now, see to the ikran. All of 'em." Jake said.
"Yes, sir."
"And get that crap off your face." Jake added before dismissing Lo'ak and turning to Tsílpey.
"Sorry Jake." Tsílpey says.
"Do not apologize, you did what you were told and I asked you to watch them no matter if they went to the battleground." Jake said. "You did good today. Your dismissed go get patched up."
