(I got an idea you guys might kill me for but-)

Lui growled. Why? Why do you make me feel this way? He glared at Valt. The blue haired blader was backing away, getting ready for his new move. Something about this kid... gets me fired up! And I hate it.

Lui pulled the rope hard, it breaking and hitting the roof before falling with a loud thud. Lui was panting at the strength he just used. Why? Why is that kid- and close to Kurenai Shu. He formed a fist around Longinus. Longinus shined, as if agreeing.

Lui sighed and walked home. "Lui!" Someone called. He didn't even look up as he kept walking. Gou sighed. He knew he wasn't going to answer. "The battle wasn't what he was expecting then?" Someone asked Gou. Gou shook his head. "This is the first time in five years that Lui has almost been dethroned." Gou said. "Both by Shu and Valt." The male said softly.

"You saw that spark though, right?" He asked eyes suddenly shining as he looked up at Gou. He grimaced. "Yes, that spark. I think he also noticed it and I don't think he's taking it well."

"Ah... well that's the bad part, good luck though." He said patting his arm, as he couldn't reach any higher and then turned and left. Gou sighed and looked up at the sky. "Please, don't let him get hurt again."

"I'm sorry Shu, I don't, um, you see I-i, you've always been my b-best friend and, and I never, I don't, I don't see you more than a friend, I'm s-sorry, I don't want to, to mess this up, and I don't, don't know what to say. B-but I think-"

"Valt." He said softly, a small, forced smile on his lips. "It's ok, really." He said. "Are you... sure?" Valt said, concern lacing his voice. "Yeah. I just wanted to tell you." Shu said his voice cracking a little at the end.

Valt raised his hand to touch Shu's arm, though he had no idea why. Shu turned and walked away. Valt was left with his arm left suspended in the air. As if it could magically bring comfort without touching.

"Why are you always taking what I love, Shirosagijo Lui?"

"A battle?" Valt said in confusion. "Yes. Are you deaf you idiotic-" Lui stopped himself before saying anything harsh. He mentally cursed himself for even pausing.

"Yeah! Sure!" Valt said grinning and putting his partner in his launcher. Lui bent down to launch without looking at the younger blader. Although they were the same height, Valt still felt slightly intimidated by the Longinus user.

Valt found himself thinking of him more often. So often that the others noticed there friend being distracted and staring off into space.

"Hurry up idiot." Lui growled waiting for Valt. "Ah, sorry!" He apologized as he got into his launching position. They both launched and Longinus and Valkryie raced towards eachother. Valkryie was knocked out and Valt gasped in surprise.

"You're so awesome!" He complimented loudly as he picked up his blue partner. Lui glared at him, though a warm feeling spread in his chest and a blush on his cheeks. He growled at himself, angry for his feelings showing again.

Then a sharp pain hit his heart. Like knives stabbing his chest. Pain. In such a long time, a small creepy smile spread across his lips. "...L-lui?" Valt said, hesitating as he threw his head back and laughed.

"So this is it then? You're the one?" He laughed and looked at the ground. "They've gotta be messing with me. So long, and for you? Why do they play with my feelings all the time?" He said softly.

Valt, confused now more than ever, stepped closer to Lui. His chocolate brown eyes were a little cloudy, his heart taking over his body on impulse.

"I thought it was over. Maybe I'd die in peace, but no. I'm still here no matter how hard I try-" He finally noticed the tears that were running down his cheeks. "How can I love someone who's so pure and kind, me being who I am...?" He asked himself.

"I'm... meant to help you." Valt said, the words rolling off his tounge as though he had practiced saying them a million times. He surprised himself as he looked at Lui. "Soulmates, it, it can't- no-!" Valt said stepping back as his blue bracelet started glowing on his wrist.

Lui's scarf glowed a dull white. "No, please." Lui said taking it off but it didn't stop. "I thought I destroyed it!" Lui protested as his scarf became it's original color and he put it back on. "There's no way." Lui spat out as he picked up Longinus and left.

"Wait! Lui!" Valt called after him but he began running and Valt was soon left behind.

"Shirosagijo Lui, what more do you want to take from me?" A male asked, his crimson eyes looking at Valt sadly.
