Thunderstorms (Asahi x Nishinoya)
This is based off of my fear of thunder and I got inspired to write it because of the thunderstorm a few days ago...

The soft pitter of rain against Asahi's window relaxed him as he sat on his reading a book. It was times like those he loved the most, where he would sit on his soft bed mattress with a good book in his hand taking him away from the real world. He closed his book and lay back on his bed, his hands underneath his head, and stared up to the cream sealing with furrowed brows.
You see, the night before when Nishinoya was around at Asahi's place, he had suddenly confessed to the third year out of the blue leaving Asahi speechless. He could remember the words clearly and the repeated in his head like a broken record stuck on repeat.
"Asahi-san! I like you a lot!"
Frustrated, Asahi rubbed his temples and suddenly jumped out his skin when he heard the roaring noise of thunder. His blood ran cold and his hairs stood up against his goose bumped skin as he dived into the furthest away corner from the window. He didn't even realise that hot tears had started to spill down his pink cheeks when he lifted his phone and dialled Noya, the only one who knew about his fear.
"Asa-" Noya began but Asahi interrupted him.
"N-No-ya...h-help me!"
Nishinoya hung up and without a second thought he scurried to his crush's house. Nishinoya heard another crackle of thunder and winced thinking about how Asahi must be feeling. He sped through the streets, rain and puddles splashing before he finally made it to the house. Placing his small hand on Asahi's gold door knob, he realised its open and let himself in. Quickly, he removed his wet sneakers and ran up the stairs before bursting into Asahi's room.
In the past, Asahi had suffered alone during the storms, rocking himself back and forth in the corner as he waited for it to pass. It wasn't until during the Tokyo training camp that Nishinoya found out about Asahi's fear. It was late at night, everyone was asleep and exhausted but one man was wide awake. Asahi sat up in his bed, covering his ears with a pillow trying to drain out the noises of the thunder outside. Noya had woken during the middle of the night to go to the bathroom when he noticed the ace crying on the bed. Since that day, Nishinoya had promised that he'd comfort his senior during storms.
When Nishinoya entered the ace's room he noticed how Asahi rocked back and forth in the corner, a blacked wrapped around him and his tears flooded down his cheeks. Noya made his way over without hesitation before leaning down. Asahi looked up and noticed the small libero only a few inches away from his face, a worried expression painted his usually smiling face.
"N-Noya..." Asahi cried before he grabbed the smaller male and pulled him in for a hug.
Nishinoya could feel the ace shaking beneath him so he leaned forward and began rubbing small circles on his back. Asahi snuggled his head into the libero's neck and Noya felt every pulse of Asahi's rising heart beat. He continued to rub his back and repeatedly whispered in Asahi's ear, "It's alright. You're safe."
Thats when realisation struck the ace. He needed Nishinoya. He has always been there for Asahi, during the best and worst of times. Asahi blinked a few times after hearing the storm had finally finished and he whispered, "I like you too..."
"What's that Asahi-san?" Nora questions as he look at the boy, not hearing what he had just mumbled.
A blush spread across Asahi's cheeks and he repeated himself but he says it louder and more forcefully this time, "I like you, Noya-san!"
Nishinoya blinked for a few seconds, completely flabbergasted, before leaping forward and hugging the ace even tighter that before. A small laugh escaped Yuu's mouth as he pulled back and stared into Asahi's eyes with a large smile that had formed on his pink lips. He placed a hand on the older male's cheek and slowly moved forward before planting his lips softly against Asahi's.
There was only word Asahi could use to describe Noya's lips; they were soft. Asahi's plump pink lips pressed against Noya's soft ones and they stayed like that for a second until Asahi reaches up and places his hand on Noya's thin neck. The kiss was more like a soft peck and they both pulled back smiling widely.
"I've always needed you, Noya."
