Training? More Like a Death Wish
Y/N's P.O.V
"Ugh..." I groaned as I sat up, my head pounding slightly. I heard the chair next to the bed I was sitting on creak, making it obvious someone had been sitting there, watching me. I turned my head and saw Ryuza, a sigh of relief escaping my lips and a huge pressure was lifted off my shoulders.
"Y'know, if you had been anyone else, you would have had a giant dent in your face?" I grinned semi-stupidly as I rubbed my eyes sleepily, causing him to blush.
"Oh? What makes you think you would have landed the first hit?~" He moved closer to me and purred in my ear. I chuckled lightly and punched him in the arm. He pretended to be in pain and pouted, causing me to laugh. "Oh, shut up." I giggled and he smiled. Then his expression turned serious.
"Since you're a new Reaper, you're going to need to your training soon. However, I was able to convince my superiors to make me your mentor. So, I'll be with you majority of the time." I groaned and slumped my shoulders. "So how soon is soon?" I looked at him.
"In exactly 5 minutes. Your uniform is in the closet." He stood up and left my room, giving me time to change.
(Time Skip to 20 minutes later and onto the training grounds [Brought to you by the spectating wolf hybrids of the Wolf Manor] :3)
"Hurk!" I heaved over and held my stomach, a concerned Ryuza running over to my side. "Are you alright?! I know I'm being hard, but I don't really have a choice..." His eyes teared up slightly and he quickly blinked them away. His sunset eyes reflected worry and regret. I stood up and rubbed my abdomen, positive a bruise was forming under my (whatever type of Reaper robe you want. It's your story :3) robe. I wiped my nose and sniffed, nodding my head once firmly.
"I'm alright, so lets just continue. You said you didn't have a choice, so it must be an urgent matter." I prepared my stance, holding my scythe so the blade was closer to the ground and behind my back (again, your story, your design for your scythe. Hell, it could be made of pansies, for all I care. Not saying that's a bad thing, though).
He adjusted the grip on his own scythe. The rod the blade was connected to was a deep midnight blue as well as most of the blade. The sharper end of the scythe was a beautiful gold and had a equally golden type of cloth wrapped on the rod near the blade and reaching down about a fourth of the way. It was nearly twice as big as him, and it had sunset orange patterns on both the rod and blade.
"Very well. Again." His eyes narrowed as he scoped out my weak spots. I swallowed and immediately regretted saying that, knowing that there was no way of backing out until I collapsed. I sighed and relaxed like he had told me to about 30 times over the past 15 minutes. I focused in on everything, my senses sharpened and I picked up the slight movement he made as he started charging.
My reflexes kicked in and I jumped out of the way, just missing his scythe by a hair and swung mine. He countered and we ended in a stalemate, our blades clashing together and creating sparks. I gritted my teeth and used all the strength I had to push back, but it wasn't enough. He overpowered me and launched me halfway across the arena, causing me to land harshly. I heard a loud 'POP!' and screamed at the searing pain in my shoulder.
Ryuza wasted no time in running over to me as I sat up, panting heavily due to the pain in my shoulder. He touched it tenderly and I hissed lightly. His eyes furrowed. "Your shoulder is dislocated... It would be better to pop it back in now, but if you don't want to..." He bit his lip as he looked at me, waiting for my response. I nodded tentatively.
"If you say it would be better, then might as-" I was cut off by my own scream as he popped it back in. "HOLY CRAP!!! THAT REALLY FUCKIN' HURT!!" I gasped and groaned. Ryuza frowned and gently massaged it, self-resentment deep within his eyes.
"How about we stop for today. You did well for your first day." His voice was soft, but it was powerful enough to tell me he wasn't really suggesting. I nodded and he helped me up. We 'poofed' (as I like to call it) our scythes away and walked back to the main building.

"I really hate having to do that... I don't want to hurt her..." I felt my eyes begin to water as I thought about her agonized scream. I hate it so much. I hate it. I hate it. I HATE IT! I felt anger towards myself as I thought about the fact that I caused it. "I should have held back, even if it was just a little bit. I know I want her to get stronger so that we're on the same level, but injuring her will get us nowhere." I looked at her through the corner of my eye. She was looking up at me worriedly. "Are you okay? You look upset." Her soft e/c eyes gazed at me, filled with concerned. I smiled softly. "Yeah, I'm just thinking about some things." She bit her lip, but nodded and looked back to the path we were walking.
"Even though she's the injured one, she's still worried about me... *sigh* This is why I can't let anyone else train her. They'd hurt her even more. And I would kill them. Then get executed. Then waiting all these years would have been for nothing." I reminded myself why I was doing this. The faster she grows, the less likely she'll need a mentor, and the less likely I'll have to kill someone for hurting her. Plus, I'll be able to take her with all I've got once she's about the same level as me. I smiled a little at the thought.
"Yeah... Then she'll want me so bad... She would be all MINE."
