Turles x Saiyan Reader
[OK, it took me about a week to find the original Funimation dub. Because all the other ones suck, and I love turles's and goku's voices. So just know I put a lot of research into this oneshot. Also, Goku is a lot smarter and serious than in most other situations because dbs butchered him, and I prefer dbz. Also Also, I know now that Goku wasn't sent to earth to destroy it, but at the time no one knew that, so I'm not changing it.]

Although, living with an actual space pirate would have excited anyone, it only left you missing something that didn't exist. It was a never-ending persuit. You had long grown tired. Not in the physical sense, but you had become a homesick saiyan without a home to return to.
Turles had convinced you years ago to leave with him and betray your species for the sake of freedom. It was fun at first, and together, the both of you grew in power and infamy. However, since abandoning your now extinct species, you soon realized that the life Turles had promised you was just a teenage fantasy. Sure, you could have everything you ever wanted: fear, beauty, power, and money. But over time, your blind desires quickly revealed themselves as nothing more than selfish attempts to keep yourself entertained. You didn't know when this revelation exposed itself, but you realized that you couldn't even remember how many innocent people you had killed. Before, they were just objects in your way, but you soon recognized that many of the bodies belonged to children, mothers and families.
You had tried confronting your partner, however, he seemed to completely ignore your pleas. He was completely driven by his greed and pride. After this incident, his entire attitude towards you changed. The saiyan began treating you in a similar fashion as his henchmen. He became arrogant towards your fragile frame of mind, and he would often mock you for becoming so weak. He had this complex frame of mind about the saiyan race. Though he hated all saiyans, he still prided himself in his species. But he refused to acknowledge any form of goodwill towards weaker saiyans. So the moment you showed any signs of vulnerability, he'd instantly shut you out and act as more of your leader than romantic partner.
So, fearing abandonment by the man you trusted your life with, you put up a mask and turned a blind eye to the cries of future victims. Then, one day, everything changed for you. Turles discovered a key that would unlock his power to match even the unimaginable power of a god. He hunted the legendary Tree of Might to the ends of the universe, until finally, it was his. From then, Turles's sanity took a turn. He went after any living world he could, consuming the very life and strength of an entire planet. He hoarded the strange fruit from the majority of his subordinates, only sharing with you. You assumed it was an odd way of him trying to repair whatever relationship he thought you had. The saiyan had lost all interest in physical training to attain new power, and now strictly relied on the bizarre fruit. You, however, remained adamant in training, although the exotic food did help.
Turles's pursuit of power drew him to a strange planet called Earth. Turles of course knew what entity lived on the planet. When you were still on Planet Vegeta, you had heard countless stories of the fierce warrior, Bardock. And the prospect of recruiting his own son was something that could not be passed up.
However, what you couldn't understand was that the planet had signs of life. Kakarot had been sent to Earth to destroy it. With species that had such low power levels, the saiyan should have had no trouble, even as a small child, in wiping out everything.
________
While orbiting the blue world, you stood in your quarters staring out of the window, preparing to leave with Turles. Ever since his growing obsession with that damned plant, he had since lost faith in you, and nearly required you to be with him at every second other than when you slept. Paranoid that you'd leave him and try to destroy "everything you'd built together", he'd decided to drag you down with him to the condemned planet. You wouldn't have usually been willing to go with him, but the prospect of meeting another saiyan excited you. All of the other henchmen were traitors, crooks, or straight-up perverse men who would have spent any second to torment you had it not been for your own power boost and Turles. With these thoughts, the idea of meeting someone actually civilized brought your hopes up. Not only that, but it had been several years since you had seen another male Saiyan.

Walking on the surface of the strange world, you took in as many details as you could, examining every species you came across. You could sense several life forms in the far distance, some of which significantly stronger than others. A shadow was cast along your path, blocking out the sun. Turning, you looked up at the parasitic tree as it planted its roots in the core of the earth. Turles had left not long ago with his men, reasons for which he neglected to tell you, so you were stuck, watching the home of millions slowly die.
Many strange looking creatures fled around you, hoping to escape the ravenous sapling. Looking for a better view, you spotted a small cliff and flew over to it. Watching the tree of death absorb the marrow of life from anything near. The disease began to spread out, trees withering, animals collapsing, and the ground itself crumbling into ash.
Not as far, a few powerful forms were approaching your location, however you couldn't really be bothered to warn Turles or the crew. They would be monitering the tree regardless if you were there, so they'd know of the threat coming. Sighing in discontent, you stood up, flew down from your cliff, and chose a spot among the massive branches to wait for the oncoming fight. Turles soon after contacted you saying his men would be there with you, and true to his words, the men joined your waiting game. You, however kept your distance, finding disgust in being so close to such scum.
Only moments after, a large ki blast, actually several, hit the lower trunk of the tree, rattling it a bit, but causing no damage. Knowing this to be Kakarot and whoever else was with him, you stood up earnestly, stepping from the shadows to join the putrid men.
Four men, and what looked like a small child met where Turles's soldiers stood. One of them held distinct spiky hair, identical to Turles's. Even though they were both considered low class, the likeness was still scary. The sight of him gave you shivers, and the look he gave your partner's men was terrifying. Not even a minute later, battles ensued. Each of Turles's men going after the Earth's. You however stayed in place, where Kakarot remained, staring you down.
"Why did you target my planet?" His voice was light, but you could feel the power behind it. Glancing up at him, his eyes were harsh, and he was tensely waiting for your reply. Flicking your tail, you turned your head to face him.
"I didn't." You answered calmly. "Personally, I want nothing to do with this."
"Then why are you here?" One of his eyebrows raised skeptically.
"Because the man you're looking for is the closest thing I have to a family, and he'd take no time in throwing me away if I failed him." Kakarot's stance shifted. He seemed taken aback by your blunt honesty. He became confused, and his arms fell down to his side. For the first time in your life, you saw true compassion in the eyes of a saiyan. He was different, you knew that instantly.
"I don't think that's a family. I'd never do some like that to my family!" His concern amused you. He suddenly approached you, but instinctively you jerked away, flicking your tail in anticipation, expecting some sort of hit or kai blast. However, the male just held his arms up calmly, signifying that he had no intentions of taking you out. "If he's been so harsh why do you stay?"
You opened your mouth to retort, but suddenly realized that he was right. Why did you stay? Even if Turles was possessive, you still could have left at any given moment. Leaving your mouth open, you hoped that some reason, any reason would come into light, but it never did. The man you thought you could have loved had turned into a greedy, egotistical savage who had an insatiable appetite for power.
Again, Kakarot approached you slowly.
"I don't really know you, Miss, but you seem to know a lot about this guy." His tone was cautious, like he was approaching a cornered animal. "If you need to get out, Chichi will be pretty upset, but my friends and I can protect you from him. If you can give me tell me how to destroy this tree, I'll help you."
Smirking again at his unnaturally caring nature you turned in his direction. "Kakarot, how can you help me if you can't help yourself?"
"Kakarot isn't my name, it's Goku." From his tone, you could tell that sentence had been said many times in the past. "And what situation would you rather be in? At least with us, you'd have friends and people to trust.
Before anything else could be said, a large explosion could be heard, looking up at the source, a large, white light hovered in the sky, creating the impression of a moon. Knowing immediately what was at play, you averted your gaze. Soon after, an explosive roar shook the sky. Looking down, the sight made you gasp. A great ape was stalking the ground, pounding his fists and howling uncontrollably. Was there another saiyan on earth? Goku immediately lept from the tree, and raced towards the beast, searching for the culprit and yelling something about his son. Unbeknownst to Goku, two of Turles's men tried attacking the warrior, but they were quickly halted.
Throwing a kai blast at them before they could even start their assault, you quickly disposed of them, watching their burnt bodies fall and slowly disintegrate into ash. The action wasn't even intentional, it had come out of pure instinct, but nonetheless, it felt strangely satisfying. Goku's distant eyes met your own, and you suddenly made your decision. Turles's wasn't worth the cost of your happiness, and you were done with his sickening attitude.
Flying down, you joined the saiyan. While he took care of what was presumably his son, you walked towards Turles slowly, who had witnessed you kill his men. He was anything but amused and his eyes held the same cold sadistic gleam that he'd always shown his victims.
"I expected more from you, [Y/n]. Don't tell me that low lifeform actually convinced you to betray me!" Though his tone seemed amused, his expression said otherwise. You could practically feel the rage pouring from his body.
"You're a fool to think I'd follow you to the ends of the universe forever." Stopping once you were a couple feet from your old friend, your tail twitched in anticipation and wrapped itself tightly over your waist. "And I'm done following a blind leader.
In a fraction of a second, you lunged for the pirate. He dodged every strike you tried to throw at him, all the while grinning gleefully. Your own rage boosted your speed enough for him to have to take you seriously. Nervously, he dodged several punches aimed for his face. When you tried one more time to deck the man, he grabbed your hand and mirrored your attack by hitting your face so hard that the vision in your left eye went black for several minutes and blood flowed freely from your nose. The single hit dazed you completely, making you go limp.
"Honestly [Y/n], did you really think I'd ever let you get as strong as me? I only shared a fraction of that fruit with you so that you wouldn't be as weak as my other men." Turles's sadistic smirk returned. He grabbed you by your hair, and lifted you up to meet his gaze. Your hands tightly grasped his own in a weak attempt for him to let you go. "I can see now that even that was a mistake."
"It would seem your new playthings have distracted you from what's important..." He looked to the side, realizing that Goku and the ape had disappeared. Knowing he wouldn't have long, the saiyan faced you again with a sick grin, his eyes narrowing. His hand harshly grabbed your shoulder. Throwing your head down, your abdomen made contact with his knee, forcing the air from your lungs. He dropped, you and paced your collapsed form, waiting patiently for you to catch your breath. Pushing yourself up with your arms, you tried to inhale. When you finally did breath in, his boot hit your shoulders, sending you flying. Like this, Turles would wait for a few seconds for you to recover, and then he'd kick, punch, and spit at you on repeat.
The moment you couldn't even lift yourself up anymore, Turles seemed to give into your pitiful state. He picked up your shaking body, and flew to a large branch on the tree. Setting you against the rough bark, he crouched over you, running a hand through you hair, which was partially soaked in blood. For a few moments, he said nothing, but eventually leaned down. Tenderly, his lips made contact with your's. The blood didn't seem to bother him as he deepened the gesture bringing his other hand to lightly stroke your cheek with his thumb. Pulling away, only for more air, he remained over you body in deep thought. His expression was unreadable, but he was eerily calm.
"You're just confused right now. I knew it was too early to bring you into this." His eyes shifted to the wilting fields that the tree towered over. Not far away, his eyes caught an aggressive orange gi. Following his gaze, you weakly turned your head, turning on your side to see what he was so interested in. The sight of the other saiyan gave you a new hope. You breath sped up, and you shifted anxiously under Turles. He immediately noticed, however, and forcefully turned you back to face him.
"Don't get distracted, [Y/n]. That poor excuse of a saiyan is nothing more than a little diversion from what's important." The man gazed into your fearful eyes, his own filling with a determination you hadn't seen since you first agreed to leave with him. Still on top of you, the pirate pushed himself away, not yet willing to leave you in the shelter of his created ruin. Looking down at his rival, his stare formed into hatred. "Anything he offered you is either gone, or not worth your time. Just let me take care of this. We can finish things later."
Without waiting for response, the man took off, plummeting towards your ally fiercely. Desperately, you were subjected to a new kind of mental torment, as you could only watch the young saiyan being pummeled by his evil look a like. Turles was relentless, showing an animalistic rage that even Goku constantly struggled to keep up with.
Fighting to stand up, you leaned over, spitting out blood. Whether it was internal or not, you couldn't tell. The pain was too murky and sewn between every nerve to locate or identify. Wiping your face, you could feel more of the crimson liquid flow from your surely broken nose. With unsteady legs, you managed to stand up barely, needing support by holding onto any branch within reach. Catching your already stolen breath, you watched in brooding despair as you knew Goku's mana was diminishing by the second. Turles showed no mercy in trying to kill his target.
Unexpectedly, Goku miraculously managed to throw a solid hit at Turles with his Kaioken. From the distance, you could see them exchanging words with each other, Turles still tense and brimming with jealous fury, however you couldn't make out what they were saying. Whatever it was must not have been what your ex-partner wanted to hear. You watched with a drained expression as the saiyan pirate lunged at the earth's protector once again, hearing him yell out in a violent fit. With fading energy, you could feel your body begin to give into the deep desire of sleep. However, refusing to give in, you stumbled a bit to regain firmer footing and watch the fight. By this time, Goku too was losing. Turles had no more trouble in landing attacks. Anything that Goku tried to land would either fail or not even affect Turles.
Turles kicked Goku it the jaw harshly, sending him flying towards the ground. All in one moment, Turles summoned a massive [elephant], and hurled it at the other saiyan. When the energy blast made contact, you nearly fell from the tree, finding struggle in steadying yourself through the massive shockwaves that reverberated through the earth. For several dead minutes, you held your breath praying for a sign that Goku survived. But that kai was strong enough to kill a great ape, meaning the verdict had already been made. No one emerged from the fresh crater. Your hopes had finally died.
With one final look out at the expansive wasteland that had now completely consumed the planet, you shut your eyes for a moment, and gave in to the dark intention of freedom that only death could grant. Leaning forward, eyes still shut, your feet slipped, and you began to dive towards the rapidly approaching ground. By now, your mind was too scrambled to understand anything coherent. Any information on where and who you were became a jumbled mix of distant memories.
The feeling of air, rushing through you was cut short by two strong arms. Your eyes fluttered open for a fraction, long enough to see Turles cradling you protectively. His bloodied face stoic and possessive under your dazed stare. His face lingered in your mind once you finally did black out.
_____
From then on, he'd keep you locked in his own chambers on the ship. Away from his crew, and neglectful to your deteriorating sanity. He'd hold you most nights, even when you resisted and cried and screamed. All he saw was a fragile child that he needed to guide.
Eventually however, you'd open to him one way or another, and together you'd finally rule the Cosmos together.
