"A-AH! IT WAS A JOKE!" You shout in desperation, as the air becomes unbearably warm. Your skin turns red and blisters.

And yet, you aren't worried for yourself. You are guilty. You made a joke at his expense. You have to make it up to him, even if it means dying.

You start to walk towards him, gritting your teeth at the blazing heat. The other two demons don't seem to be bothered.

You are a couple of steps away from him, and you pant, your entire body is covered in light burns and it's becoming hard to breath.

You reach out and grab his hand, biting down on your tongue not to scream when your hand touches molten fire.

You hand finally closes around cold fingers and you look up at where his head would be. "I'm sorry! Let me make it up to you! L-look, how about this! You go out somewhere nice with me, and afterwards if I haven't made it up you can have my soul!"

"What?" The heat drops. He watches you with curiosity. Your hand drops away from his and the entire room sways as blood begins to come out of your mouth. You bit your tongue so hard it had began to bleed.

Now that the heat had gone, it became uncomfortably cold and shivers ran up your skin. "I-i can take you someplace.... If you ..... Don't like.... You can... Take my soul"

After saying this the pain finally overwhelms you and you collapsed.
