Black out By Isabella Roy
J: Dude, Did your electricity go out?
Grian: Nope. The storms not so bad over here. Yours?
J: Yeah...I'm pretty Terrified right now.
J: you do know this is like how 70% of horror movies start.
Grian: Are you home alone?
J: right now. My mom should be here in a few minutes though.
Grian: haha of course.
J: what am I supposed to do without Electricity?
J: how did people live like this? I can't see anything.
Grian: go light some Candles or something. See if you can find a flash light.
J: all of my candles are lit and it just look so much more terrifying.
J: like I'm having some sort of Séance or something. UGGGHHHHH I'm so bored.
Grian: you'll be fine.
J: should I like Read a book? Or just sit in a corner surrounded by flames untill my mom gets Back?
Grian: where did she even go with the weather like this.
J: who knows. She's been acting so strange these past few months.
Grian: how?
J: like how she acted before my dad was sent away.
J: shes just been so paranoid about everything and like, incredibly sad.
Grian: even more then usual?
J: way more then usual
Grian: Why? I thought she was doing so much better since she started dating that business man with the 1940's hair cut.
J: she was until she broke up with him a couple of weeks ago
J: now she has become some sort of Hermit that only leaves the house to go Grocery Shopping every so often.
Grian: what do you mean?
J: since she ended the relationship with mike, now, Evey weekend instead of behind Wined and dined....
J: she just stares out our front window threw the blinds. Then remembers be need milk.
She might be going crazy.
Grian: Really!?
J: Yeah, I mean last night I watched her Walk back and forth to make sure all of the windows and doors were shut.
J: and Locked at least 13 times before she went to bed.
J: P.S I'm still in awe of our ancestors for living without he beautiful thing called electricity.
J: thank you Benjamin Franklin
Grian: she sounds like my mom after she binge watches those awful crime shows.
J: for real, its like she's waiting for Michael meyers to come to mount Juliet.
J: she Either losing her mind, or she's hiding something from me. Including all the flash lights. I can barely see anything Now.
Grian: open up some of the blinds.
J: smart Thinkin Grian.
Grian: just stay away from the windows, I think we are under a tornado warning.
J: thats weird.
Grian: what is?
J: our house is the only one on the street that has no power.
Grian: maybe it wasn't the storms fault. Maybe there's something wrong with your circuit breaker.
J: or maybe my mom convinently forgot to pay the power bill.
J: I don't even know what a circuit breaker is.
J: HURRY UP MOM.
j: oh wait I think she's here.
Grian: finally.
....
Grian: did she get he lights back on?
....
Grian: Helllloooooo

J: I could have sworn I heard the front door open.
Grian: is she not home yet?
J No, i'm officially freaked out.
Grian: maybe your hearing the wind. Have you tried calling her?
J: No, Not yet.
Grian: call her maybe shes just stuck in Traffic.
J: alright.
J: she didn't answer.
J: I'm starting to get a little paranoid over here.
Grian: just breath. I'm sure shes Alright. Do you need me to come over?
J: I keep hearing Foot steps down stairs.
J: I think someone is here.
Grian: its probably her. Just go check again.
Ten minutes later.
Grian: is she home?
Grian: just let me know if everything alright.
......
Grian: I'm leaving to come to your house in five minutes if you don't respond.
J: she's here.
Grian: Good. She'll get the lights on soon, everything will be alright and we can start trying to find your mom a new man.
Grian: maybe someone with a 1890's Mustache?
J: something weird is going on.
Grian: what?
J: my mom just told me to go to my room and lock my door.
J: she's never done that before.
Grian: shes probably just paranoid about the storm.
J: I don't know. She was acting weird. Weirder then normal.
J: I think she's screaming at someone.
Grian: on the phone?
J : I think someone else
j: I can't tell what's going on.
Grian: is it bad?
J: I don't know I can't tell, I can't hear them. I will have to go downstairs and check.
Grian: listen to your mom, J, and stay in your room.
J: she's screaming.
Grian: should you call the cops?
J: something broke.
J: I keep hearing glass hit the floor
Grian: maybe its the storm, just stay calm.
