Stubborness
"Wonderful!" Yugi clapped in approval.
"They still need some more practice, though," I muttered.
The girls groan as I start commenting the mistakes that I was able to pick up during the practice round.
That's when Yugi checked the clock and noticed that it's time for them to go.
"Yami, both of us have to go home now."
"Oh." I turn towards him as I saw Yugi picking Heba up.
"Alright then. " I walk over to the both of them, before I placed a kiss on Heba's forehead.
"I'll see you two later."
"See ya, Yami."
Yugi took the extra bag of goods, before walking to the exit door. Heba seem to understand that they are going to go back before she screamed, "DADDY!"
It took me by surprised, along with Yugi and the choir.
Heba started to cry.
(This actually happen....*sniffed* I cried a little at the seen.)
"Heba what's wrong?" Yugi hold her close, but Heba pushed him to get out of his hold.
"Daddy! Daddy!"
"Yami!" Yugi called out to me as he struggled to keep our daughter from falling.
I quickly walk over as I took Heba from Yugi's hold and into my arms. Trying to calm her down.
"Now now, little one. What's wrong?" Her grip tightened around my shoulder as her teary eyes stare deep into my eyes.
Yugi seem to now because he smile and said, "She doesn't want to go. She want to stay with you."
"I see." I turn back to look at Heba again. Trying to reason with her.
"Heba, little one. Daddy needs to go to work. You have to go home with Papa."
"Daddy...work?"
"Yes, darling. Work."
Heba scrunch her eyes and shout, "NO!"
The choir felt a heartbreaking feeling when Heba continue to cry out "Daddy!" over and over again. She definitely want me to go back with her.
"He can't sweetie. He has to work. Come on now. I'll buy you your favorite smoothie." Yugi tried to help, but that made Heba even more stubborn when she was able to slide her way down to the ground and ran to the table. Sitting on the chair that Yugi had previously sit, before crossing her arms. She tried to make a serious face, but that came out....
"Awww! Cute!"
The girls start to take a picture of her as I sigh. This is going to take a while.
That's when Yugi have an idea.
"Heba! Jaden the Kuriboh is here to see you!"
Heba perk up at the mention of her favorite duel monster as she quickly got off her seat and ran outside.
"Quickly, now."
I understand as Yugi went outside and I closed the door.
"Alright. Let's go back to where-"
"DADDY!!!!!"
I froze, before I face palm.
Yep, this is going to take a while.
I began walking back to open the door but one of the girls shouted, "Don't do it!"
"Yeah! Don't!"
"Don't let her get the best of you, Mr. Sennon!"
I hesitated. Trying to ignore the voice of my daughter calling out to me. Begging me not to leave her. The sound of the banging againt the door made me look back at my choir, until I couldn't take it anymore.
I quickly open the door and was crush in a bear hug from Heba. Heba cried as I hold her and sooth her. Asking for forgiveness. This scene is what made the author cried in the first place.
"I'm sorry, Heba."
I pick her up, before walking back in class. She sniffles a bit, until she stopped crying.
"Heba. Daddy needs to work."
"No!" She pout and look like she is going to give another tearful fit.
"Shhhh...."
I turn back to the clock and saw that I still have another 20 minutes of class.
I sigh.
This is going to be harder then I expected.
Stubborn Heba Sennon.
