And there's someone by my side
(a few hours after the end of chapter 8)
Techno's eyes fluttered slowly, his eyes eventually opening, "Goddammit... I let my guard down and this happens. Typical," he grumbled to himself. He looked over at Schlatt, still unconscious. He frowned. Did, did their plan not work? Surely not, surely Schlatt wasn’t dumb enough to not… his mind trailed off as he stood up.
(Techno's POV)
I made my way over to where a lever was, opening up a hatch in the back of the room, exposing a bit of sunlight. I exited, my feet landing on stone slabs, “God, with Schlatt gone. What else have I to do-? Get in contact with the other two, obviously. Perhaps I’ll pay some old friends a visit,” I mumbled to myself. I looked up at the sun, my eyes shutting almost immediately, I hadn’t seen it in a while due to all these preparations.
I looked down at my hand, should I-? No, I promised myself I could live without them, I didn’t need them to live before, why should I use them now? There was no need to even begin to use them. After all, I had survived for THIS long, who’s to say I couldn’t survive longer?
I unbuttoned my red jacket and let it fly off into the wind. It was but a hindrance, an unrequired accessory that merely halted my combat abilities. I wouldn’t miss it either way.
I heard footsteps from behind me, “Hey Technoblade!” a voice spoke in an all too familiar tone.
“Nice to see you, too, Schlatt,” I responded, laughing slightly.
“Seems like your plan worked. What was that golden thing anyway?” Schlatt asked me.
“Oh- the Totem of Undying? It basically gives you an extra life. You can thank my contacts for that,” I explained.
“Who are they-?” Schlatt begun but I cut him off.
“You’ll meet them soon enough. I’ll have to get some new stuff from them anyway,” I told him, “Anyway, follow me,” I spoke, beckoning him to follow behind me.
We entered back inside the base and I led Schlatt to a room. In the center was a massive table, four nether portals in each corner, “Each of them has a different nether highway leading to one set place,” I told Schlatt.
“Who do the portals belong to?” Schlatt asked.
“Well, one leads to my contacts' base, one leads to an old group of mine, another leads to your friends. And the last one, well, we’re heading there now,” I answered.
“Woah, my friends. You mean the Lunch Club?” Schlatt asked. I burst out laughing. I know I’m supposed to be evil and all, dear readers but even that was just- wow.
“You- you named your group the Lunch Club-?” I asked.
“Is that a problem, Mr Blade?”
“I just- WHY-? Of all names, why the Lunch Club?”
“Ask Carson that.” I recovered from laughter.
“Anyway, yes, you are correct in assuming it’s the Lunch Club. We’ll be paying them a visit later. I just need to visit someone first, someone you know,” I responded, walking towards the portal.
“You’re not saying who it is, are you?” Schlatt asked me.
“Nah, that ruins the surprise.”
“Goddammit.”
(3rd P.O.V)
The two entered the Nether, a road of ice and a boat resting on top of said ice, “Hop on in, Schlatt, I’ll go in the front,” Techno told him, getting into the boat section with the ores. Schlatt got in the back and Techno started to row his way through the Nether. Somehow, the boat went faster on ice so that was nice.
Eventually, they arrived there and Techno got out of the boat, placing another one next to it, “Now then, shall we get going?” Techno asked Schlatt, looking at the business man. Schlatt nodded and exited the boat, standing by the pig. The two entered the other portal.
(??????’s P.O.V)
I was finishing off some work when I heard footsteps and hushed voices. Who on earth were they and why were they being so quiet? I heard them come into my room and I turned around, spotting two people, one in particular standing out, “Techno, what the fuck are you doing here?” I asked, he simply smiled at me.

well here it is, the end of YDNAI. I'll be writing a sequel (which'll basically be techno and schlatt's recruitment adventures).
It's been a ride and a half, yet again I'd like to thank Rebirthi for makin me post this here. It wouldn't have made it this far if it weren't for you. Also, go check out their story, 10× better than mine.
