Just A Little Bit Of Love Dabi (Toya) Todoroki × Reader Part 4
Reconnecting with family was hard, especially since Endeavor was making it difficult. He was happy that he was back, but it seemed he still had favoritism. Now that his brothers and sister were older, they could be with him without him throwing hands at them or screaming at them. After work, he picked you up to meet your family and Shoto's friends. You made sure to keep an eye on Endever and always made sure you made Toya feel safe around him. You knew he could hold his own, but he didn't have to now because you were here.
You wore a nice dress with sandals and walked alongside Toya with your arms linked. You had your stick in one hand, and Demon in the other.
"Thanks for letting your family come. Hey, Shoto like cotton candy? I'm not much into sweets, but I'll get you some if you want," you said.
"Are you trying to date my underage brother by bribing him with sweets?" Toya asked playfully.
"I'm not a creep, so no. I miss having siblings sometimes. You are lucky you have yours," you said with a smile.
Toya thought for a second and decided he was going to do the same thing you did for him. Maybe he could find some relatives of yours so you wouldn't be so alone in the world.
"We're you the oldest?" You asked.
"You guessed it! My sister Lily would be 22, and my brother Seth would be 20 right now. What sucks is that I never went to their funnels. I haven't found where they were buried, either. I assume my family wants me to stay away. They never liked me much," you said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because I wasn't a boy, quirkless, looked nothing like either parent. You name it. I got all the genes that weren't dominant while my brother and sister were spitting images of both parents. They also showed their quirks early anyway. If there is a balloon pop game, we should do it because I never got to when I was able to see," you said.
"As long as you agree to ride the Ferris wheel," he said.
"But I hate heights, I can't see, so it makes everything worse. Plus, people get stuck on those things," you said.
"Come on for me?" He asked.
"Okay, fine, but then Shoto has to join us. I don't want any funny business," you chuckled.
"You got me. I was going to make out with you without your permission," he chuckled as you hit his arm.
"Ow, for a blind girl, you hit hard," he said.
"He seems to like her," Fuyumi said with a smile.
"She seems off to me for some reason," Shoto said as Decku looked at him oddly.
"Why because she invited me, Kirishima, and Bakugo as well as his family to this?" He asked quietly.
"I don't think this is a date," Shoto said.
"Of course, it's not. She wants to bond with us and get to know his siblings better. She doesn't have any, remember? I just wonder why she bluntly said that Endeavor seemed uncomfortable," Decku said.
"I don't care about him. I care about her. Something is off with her, and I don't like it," Shoto said.
"Maybe her past feels familiar? I don't know why it would, but maybe you know her from somewhere. She does work at a radio station," he pointed out.
Shoto knew that she knew what happened to them in the past, and maybe that was why he was so uneasy with her, especially because she could say something about it on the air. He kind of hoped to expose the truth because his whole life was a lie. Their life was a lie.
"Here are the balloons," Toya said as he grabbed some darts after he paid.
He put them in your hand, and you smiled as you felt them in your hand.
"You know I can't see, so I'll be useless," you said as he took all but one out and put your walking stick down on the counter.
He started to guide you and helped you pop several balloons.
"You are a good shot, Toya," you said as his family started to play the game too.
"Here is your prize," a man said as he got Toya a giant bear for you.
"Here," Toya said as he put the bear in your arms.
"What is it?" You asked as you touched its face.
"Aww, thank you, but you think I'm a bit old for stuffed animals?" You asked as Bakugo was having trouble with the balloons.
"Die! Die! DIE!" Bakugo yelled, making you laugh as he got the balloons.
"He's so adorable," you chuckled as Toya rolled his eyes.
"First, my brother, now him, you are super weird," he chuckled.
"He reminds me of you, determined and stubborn as hell," you said. "Shoto, you have been rather quiet. Is school stressing you out?"
"I'm not much of a talker, sorry," he said.
"It's okay. I just wanted to make sure you were having fun. Still eating Kirishima?" You asked as Kirishima had a mouth full of carnival food.
"You know it!" He said as you smiled.
Toya took your bear and your walking stick, then let you hook arms again. You did a few other things before you got to the Ferris wheel, and it showed that both of you had feelings for each other, but neither one of you was going to admit it. You've both been through a lot, and the mere thought of getting hurt again hurt more than anything else. Also, both of you think you could each have happiness in your life with no pain involved.
"Ready for the Ferris wheel?" He asked.
"Not really. Can we please just skip it?" You asked.
"Come on, I'll be there with you," he said as you sighed.
"Okay," you said, "demon сторожить."
"What does that mean?" Kirishima asked.
"It means guard. So now you guys will have a guard dog," you explained.
"We don't need a guard dog," Kirishima said.
"No, but just in case. He has saved me more than once, and I trust Demon with my life. I know he will do the same for all of you," you said as you petted him.
You went into the Ferris wheel with Toya and Shoto. You took off your shoes so you could see, and seeing Toya's outline made you feel better. Sat next to you and chuckled as he saw your shoes.
"You took off your shoes?" He asked
"Yeah, new place, plus I don't like heights," you lied, being able to see everything better now.
"Well, we haven't even moved yet," he said as he put his arm around you, and the man operating it closed the door and locked it.
You started going up, and you could see all the outlines, and you grabbed onto Toya hard pretending to be scared.
"It's okay, just breathe," he said.
"I wish I could be on solid ground," you said as he smiled.
"It's okay, I promise," he said as you suddenly stopped.
"What's going on?" You asked.
"It stops sometimes. Makes it romantic," Toya said.
"No Something is wrong," Shoto said as the power went out to the wheel.
"Great, now we are stuck up here," you said as Demon started barking and snarling like you never heard him do before.
You saw him in front of Kirishima, and you looked in the direction Demon was snarling and barking. You saw something small moving your way. You quickly made a massive wall of dirt and trees barely raising your hand from your seat.
Something hit it hard, making people scream in shock as you grabbed onto Toya terrified.
"What is going on, Toya?!" You asked as you captured the man in the dirt and brought him to the ground, then buried everything besides his noise.
"Nothing good! Shoto, can you do something?" Toya asked as you heard Demon still snarling and barking like a madman.
Kirishima tried to calm him as well as Decku and Bakugo. While Natsuo and Fuyumi were looking around to see why your calm service dog became a hostile monster. Your dog took off and quickly tackled a man who was trying to take out Decku and was violently shaking the man's arm to make him let go of the gun he had.
He started baking in his face and faking lunge attacks to make the man cower in fear. You quickly captured the guy and buried him just like you did the first guy. Demon stopped barking and went back to the others. He lay on the ground and started licking himself as he stayed close to the people you told him to guard.
"Wow, Y/n Demon took down a guy with a gun!" Toya said.
"Told you, I trust him with my life. I never trained him to attack people just to guard," you said as Demon heard something and started barking again, but this time, it was at the wheel itself.
He was running around it frantically, trying to tell you something was wrong with it. Suddenly, one of the seats tipped on its side, making people scream.
"Shoto!" Toya said as it went upside down and then broke off.
You barely caught it before it took out the wheel, and you made it go to the ground d carefully.
"What happened?" You asked as the wheel started tipping over.
"Toya?!" You screamed as you barely stabilized it in time.
Demon was still barking out of fear, so you separated all the higher seats and set them on the ground. while people in the lower seats were trying g to get out, but they couldn't. Kirishima Bakugo and Decku started getting people out while Toya's brother and sister tried to stabilize the ride with their quirks.
Shoto made a ramp, leading them down to the ground.
"Okay, we are getting off," Toya said as he picked you up, making you stop seeing what was going on around you. You were still using your quirk to keep it upright.
"We aren't on the ground, though!" You said as you were now actually beginning to panic.
You didn't know if he was going to drop you or not, and at this height, you were going to die.
"It's fine, trust me, you do trust me, don't you?" He asked.
"Yes, but I don't trust your plan!" You said.
"It's going to be fine, Shoto will be right next to us," he said as he picked you up bridal style and slid down the ice ramp Shoto made with his quirk.
Once you hit solid ground, he put you down.
"We will take care of this, take her home, Toya," Shoto said.
"Are you sure I can't help?" He asked.
"You can, but if All For One watches the news, this will be on it, and so will she. He might take her to get you back, and I don't want that to happen. If you aren't seen together, it will be better. He already knows about the rest of us," he explained as Toya sighed.
"You're right... thank you, Shoto, really," he said as Demon came running to your side.
"But I thought you made a clean break," you said.
"He's a villain, he's dangerous, and I was part of his plan to take down my family, but I don't want that anymore. He might force me to come back," he said as you sighed.
"No matter what happens to me or anyone in your family. Promise me you won't go back," you said.
"I can't promise that, especially now that I know my family wants me. I know my father still is on the fence with me, but my siblings want me. I will do anything to keep them safe and keep them from turning out like how I did," he said.
"Okay then, but tell me when something happens to them please," you said.
"I will try. Let's take you home," he said as you two started to head home.
