It was still snowing in the leaf village when Neji woke up. There were about three feet of snow in the town while the village was untouched by the snow, and it was raining all because you released a dormant demon. Neji got up and saw the snow outside, making him panic. He got up and realized he was wearing hospital clothing, and then he remembered you. He left his room and felt how cold it was even though the heat was high.

"Oh my gosh, you're awake!" Kiba said, shocked.

"What happened?" Neji asked.

"It's a lot to explain, but in short, Y/n's family tried killing her and us and knocked a lot of people out with darts. Y/n took care of it, but," he paused.

"What's wrong with her?" He asked.

"She has a demon inside her; well, it has always been there; it's just free now. The reason why it's so cold is because y/n is cold, and every time they try to warm her up, she gets colder," Kiba said.

"It's killing her?!" Neji asked.

"No, apparently, she needs to be cold. It's a genetic problem. The warmer it is, the sicker she gets. The only reason why she lived this long was because they trapped that demon in her once she was born. The father was trying to make the other daughters before her. But they died because they were too weak. Their mother held onto it; they gave it to her, and she lived. From what Naruto gathered from her father, if we get rid of the demon now, it will kill her.

I don't know why the demon broke free, but it's trying to save her. This summer has been sweltering, and it was killing her," Kiba said.

"Are you sure? She seemed fine to me," Neji said.

"That's because it has been messing with her Chakra. The less Chakra she has, the weaker her immune system is. The demon kept her fever down, but once she passed out, it spiked to a hundred and seven. She's back to normal now, but she almost died," he said.

"What room is she in?" He asked.

"The last door on the left. It's frigid in there, like a freezer cold," Kiba said as Neji quickly went down the hallway.

He had to pry the door open because it froze to the wall. He saw you lying in bed, and the room was much colder than the rest of the hospital. Neji closed the door behind him even though he was freezing and sat beside you. He used his Byakugan and saw the wolf demon's energy flowing through and around you. Your hair was white now, and when he touched your skin, it was as cold as ice.

He sighed as he saw the bruises and bandages on your body. He looked outside and noticed the snow had stopped, and the sun was coming out. You started warming up and started waking up a bit.

"It's so hot in here," you said weakly.

"I will turn down the temperature for you," he said, even though he was freezing.

He opened the thermostat to make the room colder and saw it was already thirty degrees, and the heater was sixty. He put it on as far as he could get it before going back to your side. The room was now even more, and he hated it.

"I'm sorry you had to fight my family for me. I thought I could take them," you said as Neji looked at you confused.

"You don't remember what happened?" He asked.

"No.... what happened?" You asked softly.

"You won, apparently," he said as you looked at him shocked.

"How are you talking without moving your mouth?" You asked after you heard someone talking.

"You stupid girl! I'm in you! My name is Denk, and I am a winter wolf spirit that has been trying to protect the women of your clan for five hundred years, but I was sealed away, and then you got me," Denk said.

"It's hard to explain," Neji said.

"I have a demon in me?!" You asked as you tried to get out of bed, but you could barely move.

"It's trying to save you!" Neji said as you looked at him and looked outside, horrified.

"Hey! How are you feeling?" Tenten, as she was holding a flower, Neji had got her and the note.

"Good. I guess. Neji says I have a demon in me, I guess. Naruto has the nine tails, and I have this thing. I feel it now, but I don't know how long I have had it. It would have been nice to know earlier so I could have fought Napel and won," you said weakly.

"Hey, don't stress about that. What matters is that you are alive, okay? I found this at the reception desk!" Tenten said as Neji knew that wasn't where she found those.

He pleaded with sad eyes not to because she probably wrote his name on it for him.

You took the flowers and the note, and Tenten smiled.

"I'm going to go, but I will visit soon, okay!" Tenten smiled as she left, leaving Neji behind.

You opened the note, but as soon as you started reading it, you started crying. It wasn't regular crying. You were having a meltdown, and Neji had no idea what Tenten wrote to make you cry like that.

"I just wanted a normal life! First my family, then Napel, now this! I took a vow of abstinence because no one wants sloppy seconds or damaged goods. I just wanted to be normal just for a bit," you cried as Neji took the note he supposedly wrote and saw it was just what he wrote.

Tenten didn't add anything to it, and he had no idea why you were crying.

"What's wrong with this?" He asked

"Everything! Who in their right mind wants me? I have a freaking demon in me! Napel happened, and my family!" You cried.

"Will you stop crying, you sniveling little brat!" Denk growled.

"You shut up! I'm so sick and tired of all this bull shit!" You cried.

"It's going to be okay," he said as you got annoyed.

"I don't want to hear your sarcastic... wait... did you say it's okay to be okay?" You asked.

"Yes, I did. Also, there is nothing wrong with you. The only reason why you think that is because Napel made you believe it. Once you get out of that mindset, you will start feeling better," Neji explained.

"It's not that; I know it's true! I mean, look at this Neji; who would want damaged goods? Whoever keeps writing me notes needs to raise their standards. They are nice, but I can't believe anyone would want someone like me, especially because I have baggage and trust issues. Now my hair is even white. He is going to lose interest in me soon. Plus, this could be a cruel prank," you said softly as you started tearing up again.

"It's not a prank, I know it's not. Someone does care about you. If they do it a lot I know whoever is doing this cares. I know it's hard for you now but it will get better soon. Things always get worse before they get better.  For me personally, the only thing that is wrong in my eyes is that you don't believe in yourself enough. I believe in you," he said.

"Why are you being nice to me now? You hated me for years," you said softly.

"Because I was wrong, and you need help. I want to help you and I want to help you. First you need to get better," he said as he started taking off the bandages on your hands.

He saw them and he was trying not to be mad but he was mad but not at you. He saw old scars you always covered up with bracelets and long sleeves. He saw the bruises and cut marks on your arm and looked them over.

"Not as bad as I thought they were going to be, all things concerning," he said as you looked at him.

"She broke me lose just in time. If she didn't you would have died idiot," Denk said.

"Be nice to him," you said out loud.

"You are going to have to ask Naruto how to deal with your monster," Neji said with a small smile and put his hand on your head.

"I'm not a monster I'm a spirit!!" Denk yelled.
