"Can't believe she gets to go on a dangerous mission, but not me!" Neji growled after a month of your last encounter with him.

"You are still upset about that? Look, you heard them; the chances of her coming back are awful. She took your place because she didn't want you to die," Naruto said.

"It doesn't matter! She had more authority over my missions, and now she takes one that could have made me stronger!" Neji growled.

"She wanted you to grow stronger and live. Even if I were to go, it would have been five percent successful. You may have a score to settle with her, but she cared about you enough -" Naruto paused.

"She doesn't know me or care about me. She just wanted the mission!" Neji growled, "To boost her ranking or her status. It should be out there and not some striper."

"Neji, you aren't being fair to her," Naruto said as Neji scoffed.

"I'm not being fair! She took my mission!" Neji growled, " You are supposed to be on my side!"

"I hate to say it, but I would prefer her to be gone than you. You know she isn't coming back, right?" Naruto asked.

"She's not?" Neji asked.

"She had a ten percent chance of success; it's a suicide mission," Naruto said as Neji scoffed.

He got away from Naruto, so he took off walking. He headed to the entrance of the village and sighed weakly.

"It should have been me!" Neji said, annoyed as you fell from a tree with a spear in your stomach.

"Y/n?" Neji asked, seeing you badly cut up, bruised, and bloody.

"Neji, I need you to do something for me," you gasped as Neji used his to dee you also had been poisoned.

"I need to take you to the hospital! If I don't, you will die," he said as you looked at him weakly.

"I'm already there; take this; it has the ninjas responsible for leaking ninja names. It also has the ninjas that they leaked. We had a lot of possible targets, but now we know. Take it to Kakashi. I locked it so it would be safe. He knows the code," you said as you pulled out the spear and gave him a metal scroll.

"What are you doing?!" Neji yelled as you pushed him out of the way and speared the man who was going to kill them both.

You stabbed him in the head, killing him instantly, and you smiled.

"Got you, you stab me first. I kill you!" You said as you passed out on the ground.

Neji quickly picked you up and took you to the hospital. Then he took the scroll to Kakashi.

"Who gave you this?" Kakashi asked as Neji sighed.

"Y/n did; she's in the hospital right now. I don't think she will make it," Neji said as Kakashi sighed weakly.

"I'll let her family know," Kakashi said softly.

Neji didn't think about the word family until he went to the hospital hours later after letting everyone else know that you came back seriously hurt. Neji heard the words code blue several times, but you always came back. But when your parents arrived with two small children, Neji first thought they were your kids because of how much they looked like you. An eight-year-old boy was sobbing, and a five-year-old boy was trying to get away from your parents to get to you. You needed surgery, but after hours, you pulled through and put in your room.

"Let me go!" The youngest boy screamed.

"Joel, you need to calm down. I know it's hard, but other people are here for worse reasons than we are. We need to show respect to those who lost people today. We could have been one of those families," your mother said softly as your little brother tried to stop fighting to get to you, but it was hard for him 

"Hi, um, we are Y/n's parents; thank you, Neji, for bringing her here," your mother said softly as she let go of Joel, and he started sobbing harder and crawled into your bed.

"Y/n? Who is going to protect me from the monsters under my bed," he sobbed as the older boy tried to keep it together.

"Hey Julien, your sister gave me this and said I would know the code, but I don't even know where to start," Kakashi said as he gave him the metal tube.

"It's a puzzle; Y/n loves puzzles," Julien said as he looked at the ends of it.

"You are giving a child-sensitive information!" Neji said.

"He's the only one that can open it. You said in your words I knew the code. He is the code. His nickname she gave him was code breaker," Kakashi said as Naruto was heartbroken seeing your youngest brother having a mental breakdown.

"Hey, do you want to get something to eat?" Naruto asked as Joel was hugging you for dear life.

"No! I don't want anything from you! I want my sister back!" He cried.

"The one person she could trust with the information," Shikamaru said.

"No, she trusted all of you. She wanted to make sure her family was safe; this was the only way this could happen without anyone knowing about it. Also, I was told you were unhappy that you were taken off this mission, Neji. Do you want to know why you were?" Kakashi said as Lee sat with Julien.

"So you like puzzles. I'm not good with puzzles," Lee said as Kiba brought his dog over to him.

"I love puzzles. My sister said I didn't have to be like her to solve puzzles. She always told us that being a ninja wasn't for everyone and that I needed to find something that made me happy. I want to be a ninja like her so she doesn't have to go on dangerous missions. Ever since she became a Jōnin at eleven, she has been going on dangerous missions like this," he said weakly.

"Your sister is that strong? No wonder she came back alive," Kiba said with a smile.

"She is... you see, she wrote things she likes; here, she likes lilies; her first tattoo was love because of me, and her last tattoo was hope because Joel almost didn't make it when he was born. Her favorite color is all of them because they are beautiful in their ways. Joel is scared of monsters. I'm scared of spiders. Her favorite people are who she considers family," he said as the lid popped open after he moved the pieces around, and they locked in.

Kakashi gave him the list of names that were believed to be compromised agents; he opened the list and saw his name was on the top of the list, making him look at you horrified.

"If you went, you would have died. All these people would have died. It took a lot of convincing from her to take your place. I almost went instead. You wouldn't have come back, so be grateful she took your place," Kakashi said as Naruto tried calming your baby brother.

"Uncle Kakashi, I opened it for you," Julien said softly as he gave him the tube.

"Thank you. I will send this to lord Hokage right now," he said as Kakashi let him look at the list. It was sand villagers that were exposed, and it showed you killed the twelve out of fifteen people who exposed the names.

Neji was wrong about you. He didn't like that he was terrible, and the way you acted, it seemed like you were stuck up and didn't care, but that was far from the truth. The girls brought flowers, and your brothers were still wrecks, but everyone was trying to make them feel better. Your parents were so kind and loving to everyone; it was a bit of a shock to Neji because that's not how you came across. It hurt a lot seeing what you had lost, and you almost lost it all to protect the leaf ninjas from certain death.

Over the month, Lee and some other ninjas volunteered to protect you while you were recovering and your family. They all took turns so they didn't get burned out and so it wouldn't draw too much suspicious activity to your home.

"The oct- a.. pus? Octopus! Lives in the ocean. It has eight arms and nine brains. They also have two hearts.  Is that true, Neji?" Joel asked.

"It is," Neji said as he sat beside Joel and Julien.

"Can't you see through people's clothes?" Julien asked as Neji looked at him, shocked.

"Why are you asking about that?" He asked.

"Because you visited my sister more than everyone else has. Are you a peeping Tom?" He asked.

"No, I'm here to protect your sister. Only when I use my ninjutsu can I see through whatever I like. I have not used it on her because the doctors are doing a good job," he said.

"What is this word?" Joel asked as he showed Neji the book.

"Representative means a class or a group of opinions, but since it's a noun in this case, it can also mean an example or a person appointed to act or speak for others," Neji said as Joel looked at him, really confused.

"It means example," he said as Joel sighed.

"Why can't they just say example? Ew! Is that really what a brain looks like? I don't like this book anymore!" He said as he gave it to Julien.

"Here, read this one; you will like it better. It has more pictures," Julien said.

"But y/n can't see the pictures she's sleeping," Joel said.

"Can we get Y/n flowers? The ones we got her last week are drooping," Julien said.

"Yeah, we have been here for dive hours. Fresh air should do some good," Neji said as he took both of them outside.

"Are you single?" Julien asked.

"Yes, why?" He asked.

"My sister is single, too. Since you often visit my sister, are you boyfriend and girlfriend?" He asked.

"No, your sister is not seeing anyone, and I'm not seeing anyone, so that means we are not dating anyone or each other," Neji explained.

"Are you blind then?" Joel asked.

"No, I'm not blind, just I'm not dating your sister or anyone," he said

"Why?" Joel asked.

"Why do you keep asking questions?" Neji asked.

"Because I'm little," he smiled as Neji was kicked far away from the kids.

"Scatter!" Julien said that Joel and Julien made clones, but both were bad, so they were captured by two ninjas.

"You let your guard down," a ninja said as he heard your brothers screaming in terror.

"Y/n!" Joel screamed as Julien was screaming for Neji.

"Let them go!" Neji growled as his friends showed up.

"Joel, Julien, we are coming!" Naruto yelled as Hinata and Ino got ready to fight.

Kiba, Shikamaru, Choji, Sasuke, and Sakura were there, ready to fight, but they had your brothers, and several ninjas appeared, making it two against one. Sure, they could take all these guys on, but now they had your brothers.

"You made a big mistake! Once my sister gets here, she will kick your ass!" Joel yelled.

"Let them go! What do you want?" Naruto asked.

"Someone killed a friend of ours, so we want the person responsible, and now that we got all of your attention now. You all come with us, or we kill the kids; that ninja seems very attached to them," the leader said as Neji went over to everyone else instead of fighting them head-on.

The men that had your brothers coped with themselves and your brothers perfectly, so Neji couldn't tell which ones were fake or real.

"Y/n! Y/n!" Joel screamed as one of them laughed.

"She's not coming; your sister doesn't love you!" A man laughed.

"I can't tell which are real!" Neji said, annoyed.

There were only two clones of each kid, but that was two too many.

Julien was scared, but he was scared for his brother more.

"She does, too! Y/n help!" Joel screamed.

Your heart monitor shot up, making your eyes open.

Julien quickly bit his captor and took off, running to Naruto and the others.

"Kill the boy!" One of the men ordered as they quickly threw stars at him.

You broke out of the window of your hospital room and took off running to your brothers. You quickly grabbed Julien and protected him from the throwing stars. You made everyone stop running to your brother and stopped running in front of Neji. You took all the throwing stars and smiled as you put your brother down, who didn't have a scratch on him.

"Y/n, you're hurt!" Julien cried.

"It's okay; big sisters are always supposed to protect the younger siblings. Even when we can't, we do what we can to make it right. Don't touch them; they may be covered in poison," you said as you smiled.

"Nice trick, but I don't think you can do that again! That poison will kill you!" A ninja laughed.

You chuckled as a fire surrounded your arms and the rest of your body. Your eyes were now single dragon slits with a unique tree design.

"Want to bet your life on it? You messed up by taking my brother and by messing with my friends. So if you think you are going to make it out of this village in one piece, you are very wrong," you said as you opened your eyes, and pure panic filled their bodies.

"You do anything, and the boy dies!" The ninja holding him yelled as Julien started crying.

"I'm sorry! I tried, but my clone jutsu didn't work!" He cried.

"It's okay, you tried; that is all that matters. Now, let your sister handle this. Watch him. This is my fight," you said as you ran off. The man tried to kill your little brother, but he stabbed your hand instead, and you shoved the knife that he had, and that went through your hand into the guy's throat.

"Run!" You yelled as the man let go of him.

Your little brother took off running. You blocked every attack that they were trying to use to kill your brother, and you used lava jutsu to make spike balls and chains you were fighting with all your might, and they looked at you shocked, seeing each step you took, heated the ground, and made it turn to glass. You took out the throwing stars and threw them hard, making them all hit their targets. They all fell to the ground, and you fell to your knees tiredly.

"Y/n, y/n, we are so sorry," Joel cried as they hugged you tightly.

"It's okay, it's okay. I would do anything for you two, you know that, right?" You asked as they were crying.

"She was so fast," Naruto said as he was shocked.

With how badly hurt you were, you shouldn't be able to move, and yet you moved like you weren't hurt at all. You quickly pushed your brothers away from you and got another spear thrown into your body, making your brothers scream.

"Got you now," a ninja said as you smiled.

"Go to the others. Your sister is going to murder someone. Not out of fear or anger but because he tried to kill innocent kids," you said as you pulled yourself off the spear, and your brothers ran back to the other ninjas.

"How?!" The ninja asked as you looked at him.

"I'm a Jōnin, a protecter of my village and every innocent life here. You tried killing kids. I don't stand for that. You tried to kill innocent ninjas; well you are going to have to go through me to do it, you understand me!" You yelled as Neji saw poison was taking over your body.

"We have to help her; she is going to die if she keeps fighting!" Neji said as pure heat radiated off your body. It covered you, and your tattoos started glowing.

"Lava jutsu infinite fire dragon spirit dance!" You yelled as the ground cracked around you, and dragons started coming out. They let out a fierce roar, making them all shake in terror.

You quickly grabbed the spear and superheated it. You went after the guy. The man was surrounded by dragons, and no matter what he did, it wasn't good enough. He was getting burned, and before he knew it, you stabbed him in the heart with the spear and threw him back to the ground, making the dragons chase after him. A massive creator formed, and you walked out like nothing happened at all.

It seemed like a massive fire dragon surrounded your body and had its claws resting on your shoulders before it disappeared.

"Y/n," Kakashi asked as you looked at him, annoyed.

"You're late," you said.

"You're dying," he said.

"What else is known? Take them before I collapse," you said as Kakashi nodded.

He took the kids and disappeared while you fell to your knees. And started throwing up blood due to the poison. Naruto caught you before you fell entirely to the ground.

"Not bad for a recovering Jōnin, right Naruto? I can't see right now. I sacrificed my eyes for a few minutes. I can only see heat right now," you explained as you passed out on him.
