The Fallen Angel: Katsuki Bakugo × Reader part #3
You were discharged from the hospital, and all your friends were made aware that you no longer remembered them, and you thought you were nine again. It was a challenge to get you used to the school, and Bakugo was trying his best not to yell at you. He lashed out at several people because, for some weird reason, you liked him the most and refused to leave him alone half the time. You followed him everywhere he went and had to stop you multiple times from entering the boys' bathroom because you weren't understanding the concept of space, different body parts, or privacy.
Your friends were very happy you were alive. Even if you lost your memories of them, they were still willing to stick around and do everything they could to help you remember. Mirio thought it would be a great idea to throw a party for you since you loved parties. You were still hurt, but with all the new friends you thought you made, you were happy.
Bakugo never realized how much of an impact you had on people or how badly he missed you. But you weren't afraid of him like how you used to be. Even if he told you no, you still hugged him and gave him kisses on his cheek like you did with everyone because you loved them. Some asked you to stop nicely because it was weird, and you did, but with Bakugo, you wouldn't. It was like you were punishing him for making you lose your memories. The guilt was piling up in his mind, and he was becoming more aggressive to others. You always tried to calm him down, which made him more upset.
He wanted you to be angry at him. He wanted you to scream and curse at him. He wanted you to slap him around for hurting you so badly. He knew it was an accident, but he didn't care he wanted the old you back, not the nine-year-old you. You loved cuddling and would end up trying to cuddle him while you and your friends watched movies. You tried to hold his hand while you skipped down the hallway or when you walked home with him. He couldn't stand how much love you had even at nine for everyone, and he hated the thought of you being found in a plastic trash bag. Why would anyone want to throw you away like that?
You tired out all the heroes most of the time with your energy, and your friends had to convince you to eat because the kids at your old school told you that you would get so fat you wouldn't fit through the door if you kept eating as much as you did. You would doodle in the back of class since you couldn't do any of the work you normally did since your mind was nine. You had your hair in pigtails all the time now, and you would hum pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows while skipping down the halls or going to the bathroom. Even Mirio couldn't keep up with your energy, which was very shocking since you both had the same energy level almost.
Every time he looked at you, it made him hate himself more because no matter how mad he got, you would immediately forgive him. The old you were terrified but still trying to figure him out. You were nervous all the time because you didn't like getting yelled at and you were even scared of him but yet you wanted him to be less scary to you so you kept trying to get him to like you. He regretted everything even if he wasn't going to say it out loud.
"Hey, Y/N," Izuku said, making you smile.
"Hi! I'm going home now! My dad made Mac and cheese with Dino nuggets and mashed potatoes! Can you believe it?! It's so good!" You smiled.
"That does sound pretty good. Do you want me to walk you home?" Izuku asked.
"Nope, I should be fine! I know Mirio walks me home and Tamaki, but they are busy right now. I won't get lost," you chuckled.
"Okay, see you around Y/n, have fun with your nuggets," Izuku said as you smiled.
"I will, bye!" You said as you started skipping home.
You were singing pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows as you were skipping along when a white van slowly started to follow you, which you were oblivious to. It sped up a bit and pulled up farther ahead of you, then stopped. A guy came out and was putting up a missing dog poster.
"Oh no, your dog is missing?" You asked as the man looked down at you.
"Yeah, he ran away. I left the gate open. If you want, you could help me look around for him," he said.
"What's his name?" You asked.
"Rex, come on, we can look around the parks," he said as he motioned you to his van.
"Um... I don't think that's a great idea," you said as you started backing off slowly.
"You want to help me find him, don't you?" He asked as the door to the van slid open, and a guy with a bat came out, making you freeze.
"I don't want to go with you, my dad is waiting for me...," you said as terror filled your body.
"Hey Decko, where's Y/n? Mirio and Tamaki weren't with her,"
"Oh, she went home," Izuku said.
"With who?" He asked.
"She went home by herself she doesn't live that far away," he answered as Bakugo immediately lost his cool.
"Are you a fucking idiot?! She has the mind of a nine-year-old she trusts everyone and if anyone asks her to go with them she will! What's wrong with you? You also promised her parents someone from here would always walk her home because she doesn't remember how to use her powers correctly or how to hold back! If she gets scared, she could kill someone! You saw how she drags Mirio around!" He yelled, "Kirishima Y/n's in trouble!"
You only lived four blocks away, so getting there wasn't going to be a problem, but if you already got kidnapped or not. Bakugo quickly went to go looking for you, and Izuku, Shoto, and Kirishima quickly followed as soon as they heard you were in trouble.
Bakugo got there as fast as he could, and you sat against the fence covering your head as a guy with a bat, and another guy was laughing because they got an easy target.
"Leave her alone right now!" Bakugo yelled as he made a loud explosion that took out the van.
The van rolled, and the two people looked at him shocked. You were shaking in your shoes, and Shoto quickly froze them. They quickly went over to you, and you were crying.
"Why would you go off by yourself?!" Bakugo yelled as you looked at him with tears in your eyes.
"I'm sorry, I just thought since Mirio and Tamaki were busy, I should go home by myself. Nothing bad happened when they walked me home, so I thought it was fine. I don't live that far," you cried.
"They have been following her for a while. They know she doesn't remember how to use her powers, right? " Shoto said.
"How do you know?" Izuku asked.
"Think about how y/n acts now compared to when she didn't get hit in the head," Shoto said.
"You creeps stay away from her!" Kirishima yelled as he dialed for the police.
"Who hired you to stock her?" Shoto asked as they were silent for a moment until Shoto lit his hand on fire.
"Okay, okay, look, we got a letter and a bunch of money in it to keep tabs on her, but then we got more to take her. We noticed a change in her behavior, and I guess our employer did too. We were to get her and keep her just for a couple of days until we handed her off," one of the guys said.
"Who hired you, and who were you going to deliver her to?!" Shoto asked.
"I don't know! It was anonymous!" He yelled.
"The police will be here soon," Kirishima said as you were still shaking with fear and terror.
Bakugo saw a baseball bat that was on the ground and quickly shot at it, making it explode.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to hurt anyone! Plus, when I saw the bat, I froze, I didn't want them to break my wings again. It always hurts so bad," you cried as he sighed.
Bakugo decided to do something unlike him and opened his arms up so you could hug him.
"Need a hug?" He asked as you looked at him oddly.
"You don't like my hugs," you said as he sighed.
"You want a hug or not? I don't like looking stupid," he said as you hugged him.
He could smell his clothes burning because of your tears, but it was a small price to pay to make you happy.
"I'm going to stay with her until we find out who hired these idiots to take her. They might take her next time," Bakugo said as he picked you up and started taking you home.
"He's acting funny recently," Kirishima said.
"Who isn't y/n is probably never coming back," Izuku said.
"Don't say that she will," Kirishima said.
"Her father said the damage is permanent. There is a slight chance, but it's unlikely," Shoto said.
"Permanent?! No wonder he is acting weird he's blaming himself," Kirishima said sadly.
"Yeah, we all are. If we were just there, maybe she would be fine," Shoto said.
A week passed by, and Bakugo stayed with you until they found out who hired the two kidnappers. You were watching a movie with Bakugo but fell asleep on his shoulder. He looked over at you and turned off the TV. He carefully laid you down on the couch and stayed next to you for a second to hope to get you settled, then go home. But you captured him in your arms, and now he was stuck lying next to you. Every night since the accident, he kept going over what happened. He didn't realize as soon as you covered him he heard a sticking crack which made you fall to begin with. He heard something make contact with your skull before blacking out due to stuff falling on them. It hurt, and he had nightmares of it still.
He may not have stopped you from getting hurt last time, but he was going to make sure it wasn't going to happen again as long as he lived. He first realized he fell asleep with you, and your father came in to get you a couple of hours later to take you to bed. But when he found you; you and Bakugo were entangled together, so he took a picture and then put a blanket on both of you.
