You were in full-on traditional Japanese wedding attire, but you weren't happy about it. You were going to be married to this guy you didn't like. You sighed weakly as you looked at yourself in the mirror. You heard the door open to see the oldest child come in and close the door.

"Hi, you look beautiful," he said as he went over to you.

You punched him straight in the face, then took off running down the hall with no plan at all other than to run away. You, of course, got caught because you couldn't run well in what you were wearing.

"You dumb bitch!" The older brother yelled as he slapped you several times.

"Wang! Stop hitting the poor girl. I already told you she wasn't a keeper, and you bring her here. I want her out unless you can tame this one," an older man said as Wang stopped hitting you.

"I own you, do you hear me?!" He growled as he held you by your collar, which was a bad choice. You kicked him hard in the nuts, then punched him again, knocking him out cold.

"No one touches me, and-" You got hit from behind, knocking you out.

"Xian, deal with her, drown her in the lake, and make it look like an accident," he said as Xian nodded, but he had a different plan.

There was a rumor a monster was hiding out in the lake, so he was going to use you as bait. He didn't believe in monsters until people started to vanish. He already had a post set up for you in the middle of the lake, which had a small island. It wasn't large at all, and it was used by them often to make their wives, concubines, and children behave. Just leave them there for a couple of hours, maybe a day, and that would be that. The post has been taken down since now. A good hit would keep the women in check, and now his two sons were all grown, so they didn't need that small island anymore. Also, the big part of the lake was forbidden to go to if the people were commoners, so there was no help coming for you.

You woke up in a carriage tied up and still in your wedding attire. You saw the younger brother who was in his late twenties sitting in front of you.

"Someone made my father very upset," he said as you rolled your eyes.

"Didn't realize I made daddy dearest upset," you said as he smiled.

"You know he wants you dead, but what I can do is marry you to save your life. You will have to be good and do what I say as long as I live," he smiled.

"Fall off a cliff, I would rather die to be your slave! People like you grow tired of their toys and throw them away after a while," you said as he nodded.

"Well, you are right about that. Maybe if you have my son, I'll just kick you out of my village if I get bored with you," he said as you scoffed.

"Go to hell," you said as he sighed.

"Your parents did raise you wrong. You should be happy you get a male to like you at all, especially with that attitude of yours," he said.

Inosuke made it to the rich guy's house and crashed through the front doors. He knocked out all the guards, only leaving the old man and the oldest son staring at him in fear.

"Where is she?!" Inosuke yelled as Tanjiro put his hand on his shoulder.

"Hello, we are friends of Y/n and wish for her return, please. If not, we will use force to get her back," Tanjiro said.

"Did she do that?" Zenitsu asked, seeing the oldest son holding his nose.

"Definitely. I smell cherry blossoms," Tanjiro said as he went to the source of the smell and found your clothes.

"This isn't good. What did they do to her?" He asked as he saw the makeup on the table.

"Inosuke, she isn't here," Tanjiro said as Inosuke quickly took both men down and put both blades next to their necks.

"Where is my girlfriend?!" Inosuke growled, and Tanjiro and Zenitsu looked at him shocked.

"Girlfriend?" Zenitsu asked as the old man didn't budge.

"You think I won't kill you creeps for touching her?!" He growled as he raised his sword, making the son shriek in terror.

"My brother is taking her to the lake! It will take them half the day to get there! They left this morning after she punched me in the face," he said as Inosuke looked at him angrily.

"Why is he taking her to the lake?" Inosuke asked.

The brother didn't say anything at first until Inosuke slammed his sword down in between them, destroying the floor.

"To kill her and make it look like an accident! That's if he hasn't killed her already. He's impatient, worse than me," he said as Inosuke was about to lose his crap.

"Where is the lake?!" He asked.

"You know this is the dumbest idea you ever had," you said as he lit a lantern and forced you on a boat.

"Well, you know people have been going missing recently in town. People are saying a demon is taking them and devouring them in the lake. So, to keep people safe, we decided to ban people from coming to the lake. So this is your last chance. Be my wife or stay chained up on this little island in the center of the lake forever," he said.

"Be stuck on a small island," you said as he started to row. You knew how to swim, so this was going to be a piece of cake.

He tied you up to a post, and when he got back to shore, you started working on uniting yourself, which was too easy.

"Look, you moron! You can't even tie a proper knot!" You yelled.

"Just wait for it!" He said as he got out of his bow.

It was oddly quiet, and no animals were making a sound. The moonlight was lighting up the sky, but it was still dark closer to shore. You weren't scared of being left alone in the dark, so you decided to wait until the guy was distracted so you could swim to shore. Suddenly, the carriage horse screamed, making you smile.

"I do love nature," you said as the same thing that took out the horse took out Xian, making him scream, and the flame to his lantern went out.

"Okay, so don't go that way," you said as you were about to start swimming.

"Don't go into the water!" Tanjiro screamed, scaring you.

"What are you all doing here?" You yelled as Tanjiro could smell a demon close by.

He saw the body of the horse and then saw the body of the man that took you here. The man's body was lying next to the son, and two large hands grabbed both bodies. They were quickly dragged under the water, making Tanjiro jump. Inosuke was still taking down trees, but this time to get to you.

"You need to trust me! Don't go in the water, wait for us!" Tanjiro said.

"Why are you guys so afraid of the water? Also, there's a mountain lion around, so you need to be careful!" You warned.

"We need to kill it before if kill her," Tanjiro said as Inosuke started moving logs into the water.

Tanjiro started to do the same along with Zenitsu while you sat next to the post annoyed.

"You watched the reflection of the water and started to see a face in it.

"Wow, that's so realistic. I wonder if I have seen this at a Canaveral," you said as claws quickly came out of the water and tried grabbing you.

You screamed, making them all look at you terrified.

It started coming out of the water smiling at you. There was nowhere you could run, and you were horrified to see something like that appearing in front of you.

"You reck of fear, never seen a demon before?" He asked as you were frozen in fear.

"Y/n!" Inosuke yelled as he took a running start and then jumped on a log. He quickly launched himself to the demon, but the demon quickly hit him with a wave of water.

"Inosuke!" You yelled as he was tossed back to where he came from.

"Zenitsu get her! I have the demon!" Tanjiro said as Zenitsu looked at him terrified.

"I can't swim!" Zenitsu said as the demon was going to try to kill you.

Tanjiro quickly stopped the demon's claws and then tried to hit the demon but missed. While Zenitsu grabbed you and hopped from log to log to get you back to shore.

"Y/n run and hide, we will find you, I think!" He said as Tanjiros's little sister came out of her box and started attacking the demon too.

"You think, or you know?" You asked as he looked at you very unsure.

"Well, um, you see," he paused as Tanjiro was sent flying into him, and the demon was now on land.

"So many demon slayers for me to feast on and one innocent little girl! I think I'll eat the girl first!" The demon smiled as Inosuke started attacking the demon.

"I won't let you touch her! Y/n run and don't look back. We will find you later!" Inosuke yelled as you saw him bleeding.

Zenitsu, who you thought was just as scared as you were, was dead asleep and fighting the creature as well. He was just waiting to be knocked out so he could get stronger, which you didn't know was a real thing.

"Go Y/n it isn't safe here!" Zenitsu informed you as he took off fighting.

You didn't want to run because Inosuke was there, but at the same time, you had no idea what was going on. This wasn't a dream. This was real all of it was which shocked you. You took off running into the forest and didn't look back. You were trying to think of how this was possible because demons weren't real, and yet that monster came out from the lake and tried to kill you. You thought you were dreaming until you tripped over a brash. You started sliding downhill, and you crashed into a bunch of human bones.

You started to panic more than you heard the monster's voice behind you.

"Beautiful, isn't it?!" He asked as he pinned you down and made you face him.

"Get off of me!" You yelled as you took out one of the hairpins and stabbed him in the hand.

"You think that bothers me?" He asked as he pulled it out and tossed it.

"Your friends are dead. They aren't coming to save you!" He said as he was about to take a bite out of you, but Inosuke quickly sliced his head off.

"We aren't dead!" He said as Tanjiro was trying to get up, but he couldn't, really, and Zenitsu was also down.

You pushed the demon's heavy body off of you, and you looked at Inosuke and tried to fix him up.

"Y/n?" He asked as you weren't paying any attention to him, just trying to focus on helping him.

"Y/n!" He said, making you stop and look at him.

"I'm sorry, I should have told you what I did for an actual job, and I shouldn't have left you alone. Your family is safe. Your dad got hurt a little bit, but he should be fine," he said as you nodded.

You tried not to cry, but you saw human skulls and thought about how many people those awful people killed and how many people died because of the monster.

"Demons can't be real, Inosuke... people are the real monsters. I was always told that," you said as he looked at the bones.

"They are real, and those people are just as bad as them, but they can walk in the sunlight. Demons can't. I didn't want you to have to learn the truth. When you saved me, I was fighting a demon, and that demon knew you were there. It could smell you. But what I didn't know was that after I won that, I would get up and go. If it wasn't for you, I would be dead. This is my life, I hunt them. I make sure they don't kill anyone else. Tanjiros's sister is a demon, too, but she's good. She never wanted to be one, and because she still has her humanity, she helps us. But if she kills a human or eats one, we will have to kill her. But for now, she tries to do the right thing. I'm sorry I lied to you. I didn't want you to be scared," he said as you looked at him sadly.

"Well, it's okay. I was going to find out eventually, right? I live in the woods," you said as you cleared your throat, "let's go to your friends. I need to take a look at them."

He held his boar head in one hand and helped you up once he put his swords away. You all went back to the lake only to see medics from the butterfly mansion were there, and a smaller boy.

"This was my demon to kill," Tokio said as you started taking off your makeup and put your hair down.

He turned to see you, and his dull eyes lit up a bit.

"Why are you here?" He asked.

"Well, I'll shorten it to a hundred words or less. Saved Inosuke after fighting a demon because he was bleeding out. He stayed with me and punched a rich guy in the face who wanted to marry me, and I kept saying no. He burned my house down and hurt my father then I punched him in the face which led to the younger brother taking me here so he could use me as bait to hunt a demon that he didn't know was a demon after I wouldn't marry him either. Also, my name is Y/n. Nice to meet you," you said as you heard rustling in the bushes.

The boy and Inosuke got out their swords. You looked over to see the younger brother along with some of his goons, making you see only red.

"Inosuke, sit and stay!" You growled as he was going to try to calm you, but he had never seen you this mad before, so he wasn't even going to try to stop you.

"You are going to let her fight those guys?!" Tanjiro asked as you walked right up to them and smiled.

"So your brother got eaten by a wolf," you said as you punched him straight in the face again and started beating the absolute shit out of everyone like they were just punching bags and not people at all.

"I saw the bones! You murdering bastards!" You screamed as Inosuke was about to rup you off of them, but you stopped as soon as they were all on the ground in pain.

"Sorry, I am calm now," you said as you kicked the older brother in the balls as hard as you could.

"What's your last name?" Tokio asked as you looked at him.

"Y/L/N, why?" You asked.

"I was supposed to go by your house and see if your family wanted to help us out.

"There has been an increase in demon attacks, and the Butterfly mansion is falling behind," he said as some of the guys in black looked terrified.

"We can ask my parents," you said as Inosuke smiled a bit.
