They cleaned up the guild, but it didn't feel safe or clean enough. The Crack started bleeding black ink, so they put a bucket under the crack. Natsu kept looking at what was causing him the most pain and wished you were there. It had been several days now, and he hadn't left the guild to focus on bringing you home. He didn't know what was happening to you, but he knew it wasn't good. After everything you had done for him, the guild, for your kids, he thought you deserved some peace even if you didn't come back alive. The crack started to get bigger, and the whole guild was scared and worried because they knew what was coming for them.

But Natzu wasn't scared; if he could fight to get you back, he would do it for you and your sons. You loved them even though they came from something horrible. You had a closet filled with things for them. You celebrated their birthdays even though it hurt you because you had to remember what happened to them. He knew you tried hard to be happy, but you couldn't move on. All those years and wishing they were here and seeing kids as old as your kids would be was tricky. You couldn't even talk about it with them because you feared what they would think of you.

"I know what is happening!" Makarov yelled as he came from the basement with a book covered in dust and webs.

It had a skull on it with ruby eyes, and the skull looked like it was made of gold.

"What the heck is that?" Natsu asked.

"A warning was given by one of the first guild members. Y/n's great, great, great grandmother stopped a Lich. But it's not a normal lich. He made a curse and put it on himself to live forever by feasting on magic to pursue his dream of controlling the world. It says here he would take wizards and convert their bodies to pure magic and leave the souls; he would torture them and turn them into slaves. The older the wizard, the harder it was, so he started going after children because they hadn't lived a life they could remember.

Her grandmother trapped him in a land that cut him off from this world, but it came at a cost. She was the key to getting him out. If she died before having children to pass the bloodline on, he would get out. The Lich has been feeding off her family for ages and got strong enough to make contact with the outside world somehow. Someone probably got his old spell book and started feeding him. When Y/n's mother died, Y/n wasn't safe anymore. Her father gave her to the people her mother was fighting her whole life. Now he has y/n; it's just a matter of time before he breaks through and feasts on every magic user. There is a spell to put him back in, but it requires y/n's blood, which we don't have. There is also a spell to get into that world, but it's a one-way trip unless you defeat the lich. It's the exact spell described in Y/n's journal," he said as your friends looked at each other.

"Been nice knowing you," Gajeel said as Levy looked at him, shocked.

"You aren't going alone. I'm going to!" She said.

"As am I," Erza said.

"You have to be crazy to fight a lich by yourself!" Lucy said.

"I just don't want you to get all the glory," Gray said.

"We are going to!" Windy said as Carla and Happy nodded.

"No, none of you are. I'm going in alone, and that's final," Natsu said.

"You heard him, that things feed off magic!" Lucy said.

"Yeah, if we all go, he might get out," Natsu said.

"Then we better not lose," Ezra said with a smile.

They wouldn't let him go alone even though they were scared. You were alone for so long that you forgot what love was like. You weren't going to be alone, and neither was he. If this were the last fight they were going to fight, they would go out together.

Makarov made the portal, which required a lot of energy. They grabbed supplies and hopped into the portal after saying goodbye to everyone. As soon as they passed into the realm your great-grandmother made for the lich, all they could smell was death. The dragon slayers started dry heaving, and so did everyone else. Dead bodies were everywhere, and there were random pools of blood everywhere. There were so many dead bodies you couldn't see the stone ground anymore. They were all in different stages of decomposing into magic for the lich. People were dropping from the sky from various portals, making Lucy nearly tear up.

"There are fourty portals open...," she said as they were trying to get over the fact that they would have to walk on dead bodies to get to you.

The portals started closing after several bodies hit the ground with sickening crunch. It started raining blood, and lightning started lighting up the dark sky. They began to go straight because that was the only way.

"I can already feel my Magic draining; if we don't hurry, I won't be able to fight," Lucy said on the verge of tears, seeing dead babies and children scattered on the ground.

There were adults, mostly women; they probably couldn't have kids anymore, so they were tossed away like garbage.

"Why would they feed him knowing what he will do?" Wendy said as she was crying but was trying to be brave.

"So he can do this to our world; they believe it's a rapture, or they want to be part of the new world, not knowing he will kill them all none the same," Erza said.

"Be on your guard, those shadow things that attacked the guild will be coming for us," Gajeel said as a monster quickly attacked Levy.

She screamed and they started attacking the monster. They managed to kill it but more started to come. They started fighting them but after fighting over a hundred of them, they couldn't fight anymore and they started laughing at them.

"No... I don't have any magic left," Natsu said as Gray tried but it was no use.

There was clapping and the monsters backed away as a man in a nice suit and tie came to them.

"Hello Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Happy, Wendy, Erza, Carla, Lucy. Drop by for a visit? My name is Death, well my rrsl nsme is Count lion heart but i like death better. Happy to finallymeet yhe geniusbehindall of this?" He asked.

"Give Y/n back right now!" Natsu growled.

"Give her back? Why would you want sloppy leftovers? I know everything about Y/n, you know. I have used her memories against her, but I'm not going to do that to you all, at least not yet. I needed more magic before I could leave this place, and I almost have enough; I just need three hundred more bodies, and it should do it. I'll come and take your guild first and then the world. Isn't this place beautiful?" He asked.

"You sick fuck, you killed babies! You killed her kids!" Gray said.

"Well yeah, I mean, it's not like anyone was going to miss them. Heck, they were my kids. You see, I wanted a version of me out there so I could finally be free from this place, but they weren't going to be strong enough to hold even a quarter of my magic because y/n's magic overpowered mine. How is that even fair? Can't have weak links, can I? I would have you for dinner, but I think someone else should have you for dinner. Sure, fresh is always best, but I like watching," he said as he snapped his fingers.

"You still haven't said anything about my decorating; it's kind of rude," the man said.

"You think this is a joke! All of these people are dead, and it's your fault! Babies, kids, innocent people you tortured and mutilated for your enjoyment! You turned their souls into monsters to do your bidding! Rhey were people! Good people who had the right to live, and you took that away from them!" Natsu yelled as he got and mustered enough strength to try to hit him, but he caught his fist.

"No one has the right to live; people die all the time, and you don't go fighting gods or whoever controls the universe to give back all the people that died. I never asked the people who killed these people to do it all. I said if you want a better world, to open up a portal and drop them in. That they will be going to a better place, and I wasn't wrong. They are here with me. Accessible from a cruel world thar doesn't care if they live or die. Here, they have a purpose: to survey me and only me.

I am there, God I freed them from. Their bodies so they don't feel sick, pain, sadness; they only feel the need to listen to me and to do what I say. Your girlfriend, my bad dead girlfriend was just a victim of circumstances. Her abusive dad sent her to a farm. I realized she was the key I was searching for my entire time staying here. Her grandmother or whoever it was locked me in here to stop me from doing my work.

The work I was born to do. If she didn't trap me here the world would be gone by now and there would be peace. No war, none of this but she chose wrong. Once I get three hundred more bodies I'll use her to open the gate to let me out and I will make one giant land to rule over. I mean just think about it I kill off some magic users not all course, start family with several different women just because strength in numbers and if they don't cut it well I'll just kill them. The more torture they go under the easier it is to corrupt the older souls," he smiled as a massive monster with tentacles for hair ans massive claws.

It's eyes were blood red which was different from the others. It mouth looked like a piranhas mouth. It was the biggest thing there in terms of muscle mass and hight. It had spikes all along its body and a tail rhar could impale even the strongest of metals. It had to large white spot where its heart was which was also diffrent from the other monsters. It let out a ferce roar and the man looked up it and smiled.

"Finally, Natsu this is Y/n, Y/n, Natsu," he said as Natsu looked at you horrified.

"Thst can't be Y/n!" Wendy said as Death smiled.

"I assure you it is. Isn't she beautiful now, I mean when she was a young teenager she was beautiful but now. She's perfect, she doesn't remember you and she only listens to me now," he said as he snapped his fingers and pointed down making you sit.

He tossed Natsu on the ground and made a thrown out of dead bodies and also made an area for them to fight in.

"Spare the women for breading stalk and kill the men. Actually do what ever you want to them I don't find any of these women worth my time," Death said as you stood up on your hind legs and screamed.

Lucy started crying realizing you were gone and Wendy had to look away seeing what he had done to you.

"Get up and entertain me already. Kill them," he ordered as none of your friends had strength left to fight.

You started charging at them and Natsu got upweakly. He wasn't going to fight you. This wasn't your fault, there was no way he could even win in the shape he was in.

"Y/n I know you're still in there somewhere. You have a choice, I know you're hurting and your angry but none of this is your fault! We didn't do this to you, he did! We aren't strong enough to fight him or you. We aren't going to be mad at you if you kill us, I know you tried to fight as long as you could, so do your worst," he said as you knocked him off his feet into a wall made of bodies and hit the ground.

"Natsu!" Lucy screamed as she tried to get up but her strength was gone.

You went over to him and beat him into the ground lime he was a toy before you decided to rip his head off. You opened your mouth wide and Natsu looked at you sadly.

"I'm sorry I could protect you and I sorry you didn't feel like you could talk to me. I didn't know you were on pain and I thought you were just being stuck up and stubborn. I knew you had a tough life but I didn't think it was like this. I'm sorry and I love you to," he said as you were second s away from ripping off his head.

"Mommy stop it!"

"Mom this isn't you stop!"

You stopped and pulled away slowly and let out a low growl.

"Mommy?" Levy asked as the realization came to light.

There souls fused to you, the white spots weren't spots it was them.

"You have got to be kidding me? I corrupted you in less then two hours and yet you still think about those brats? I killed them before they could even speak to you, the day they were born is the day they died. Why do you even care about them I made you have them. They are useless to you and a bad memory," he said.

"Mom you loved us even though we cane from something bad. You had so many chances to kill us but you didn't. You tried to fight to protect us even when you had no strength left. Mom he's making you hurt your friends, your family. You always said people had choices to make. That they weren't born evil that they were taught it but they had a choice to go down that path or to stop it. You have a choice,it's not to late. I know you're still in there hurting. This is your chance to stop this. This is your chance to save your family. You don't want them to be like you or them. You fought hard to make sure they wouldn't but you care about life, there lives. If you can stop this they won't end up like you. The world won't end up like you. It will be a hard fight and you still might lose but your friends can't fight anymore. He depleted there magic, look at who you have right now. It's Natsu, he's your friend not an enemy.

Even if you lose we will all be here foe you because we love you. You are not alone anymore and you won't be," the voice said as you looked down at Natsu.

Natsu realized the voice that was talking seemed a lot older then any of your kids so that voice had to be something else or someone else. You got off of Natsu making Death roll his eyes.

"Natsu... stay," you said in a distorted voice and the spots on your chest turned into massive blobs on your body before making you pure white.

"You have got to be kidding me! After everything I did you, you wouldn't just give into me?!" He asked as you growled.

You launched a full scale assault on the man and he quickly started fighting you and trying to get you to back down. The spirits tried to get you bur as soon as they touched you they started buring. You weren't listening to his commands. You weren't listing to his lies or to what he had did to you. You were our for revenge and for the freedom of your friends. It was a long drawn out battle but you managed to slice his throat cauong black blood to ooze from his throat.

"You can kill me! I'm immortal!" He yelled as you ripped off his head and threw it as far as you could.

You collapsed onto the ground and the spirits started screaming and going crazy as the ground started shaking. You turned back to normal and Natsu quick got up and picked you up out of the black sluge you were in.

"We need to find the crack that's in the guild and hopefully use it to get out!" Erza yelled as she was helping everyone one up to there feet.

"I see it it's over there!" Wendy yelled seeing a sma speck of green off in the distance.

The ground started caving in and the spirits were still trying to go after them.

"We aren't going to make it there's to many of them!" Haply yelled as they were running away but the spirit were fast.

Sudde a fire ball hit a spirit that was trying to get happy and Carla. They were picked up by a kid that looked no more then sixteen with black hair and black veins co.ing from his eyes.

"Just run I got you!" He yelled as he was using his magic to quickly makea path. They were about to make it to the crack when they realized it was getting smaller.

The boy put the cats down and made black tennis come from both of his hands. He pried open the portal making it big enough for everyone to get threw it. He hoped through and the portal closed.

"Mom!" He said as he went over to you and checked to see if you were breathing.

"You sick son of a bitch! Out of my mother now!" He ordered as he was using his magic to force our a creature thar made its way into her body you couched black blood out before a tentacles creature came out of your mouth.

He quickly froze it and gout out his knife and slammed it into the monster making it explode. He checked your pulse and you were alive but cold he took off his jacket and pit it on you then took off his shirt to make it a pillow for you. He put you on your side as red blood was dripping out of your mouth instead of black ink.

"You guys okay?" He asked as the guild was ready to kill the boy that said he was your son.

"Who the fuck are you?!" Gray asked as Natsu grabbed him by his throat.

"Axel?" Natsu asked he smiled a bit.

"Hi Natsu, my mom talked about you alot. I know I have a lot of explaining to do but um. Can we not tell her just yet. I mean she will find out eventually probably as soon as she looks at me but um she has been through a lot and I want her to have some time to recover if it's okay," he said as Natsu let him go.

"How is this even possible?" Gajeel asked.

"I'm the other half of the key," he said leaving the guild speechless.
