Ch5: The Rebellion Begins
(Y/N POV - Abandoned Warehouse - Shinjuku Ghetto)
Okay trying my best to get over the fact the me and my brother just ordered several guards into psychic induced suicide. Admittedly they deserved it, but it was still the point of the matter.
Though Lelouch was still taking it better than I thought, although he was probably already planning on how it to his advantage. Getting a power like this accelerated our timetable by quite a bit.
That and we were currently in the middle of an urban renewal. The quicker we head to my Knightmare, the sooner we can plan out what to do without the risk of us being killed.
We might have been given this Geass, but I am pretty sure a bullet would kill either me or Lelouch just as easily as any other human.
I quickly made sure to retrieve my weapons and put them away before I walked over to Lelouch was was looking over the mysterious woman's corpse.
"Lelouch we need to get out here, we are not that far away from the Knightmare frame. There we can figure out how to go from here. With over half a dozen members of the Royal Guards suddenly dropping off contact, Clovis or someone else is his change of command is bound to send some to investigate." I said, getting Lelouch to nod as I handed him my pistol.
And I started to pick up the mysterious woman.
"Given the lengths he is willing to go to cover up his experiments I believe he would either send more guards or a Sutherland to investigate the matter." Lelouch stated as he inspected the pistol before he realized what I was doing. "Wouldn't it be more beneficial to leave her behind...unless you are factoring in that they would take her body back for more experimentation."
"That and mainly that she at least gets a proper burial. Clovis probably has everyone he can that isn't killing everyone off combing the ruins for her dead or alive. I am not letting him or anyone else to run any more experiments on her body. The Knightmare is just across the street so I would not be carrying her here long. Besides I am pretty sure Sayoko would know the perfect place to bury the body." I said, getting my brother to nod and me to shudder internally.
She was scarcity good at doing so and we both now how easily she could make someone disappear if she wanted.
Anyway I adjusted the mysterious woman onto my back and hoped that she would have found peace in death.
Cause things were about to get a lot more trouble some for us still living.
"Fair enough." Lelouch said, giving the woman one last glance before sighing irritably. "There is no way of knowing how we can fulfill our end of the contract now or why she gave us these powers in the first place."
"No use complaining about this now Lelouch, we both accepted this and must accept the consiquences. She gave us the Geass in order to survive, and I am pretty sure we can figure it along the way. But if she was to tell us I doubt it, everything concerning Geass that I know is cryptic as hell." I said.
"So you knew about this Geass?" Lelouch inquired.
"Nothing more than what she told us and that supposedly it is unique to everyone, power and drawbacks. And it was during the year before I returned to you guys, but I thought that it was a myth. A tale in parts of Europe and I heard from a Japanese refugee in the E.U." I explained.
"I see, then you wouldn't mind informing on anymore details after we make out of this situation." Lelouch stated.
"There isn't much, but alright." I said as we began to walk over the corpses of the guards.
Only for a Sutherland to burst through the doors of the warehouse. Rifle at the ready and it's factsphere opening up.
So close...wait wasn't that the same Knightmare that-
"What happened! Why are two Britannian students during her and why are you carrying that woman!" A woman's voice demanded through the speakers.
Yep it was the same one that shot at me earlier.
"Answer me or else I'll-!" The woman demanded before taking a few shots into the wall behind us.
We both knew that those were warning shots. To make a point that she could easily punch a hole in us like the concrete holes behind us. Along with threatening or scaring us into complying into her demands.
But that would not work on us.
Yet I would prefer for Lelouch not to give the Sutherland a sneer.
"Answer me!" The woman demanded once again, her tone clearly irritable.
"I order you to come out of there. At once!" Lelouch demanded, his Geass flaring to life.
"Who do you think you are!" The woman demanded, getting my brother to frown.
Seems like the first apparent limitation in his Geass was it needed direct eye contact. Perhaps mine had the same one, but it was too risky to test at the moment.
"My name is Alan Spacer and this is my twin brother Edwin Spacer, our father is a Duke. Our I.D. cards are in my breast pocket. My brother is deaf and his aide has been knocked out in all the commotion outside. Once you verify our identification, I request your protection." Lelouch said calmly, his tone portraying a mix of arrogance and concern.
Clever Lelouch, pretty clever. Most knights would jump at the chance to rescue the son of a Duke. Throw in a disabled son and they could potentially squeeze out an even bigger reward.
Still just incase...
'If she does not take the bait, we run down to the tunnels.' I signed over to him, hoping that she at least didn't understand sign language. I'm rusty enough as it is with it.
'On your lead.' Lelouch signed out with a nod.
The back of the Sutherland opened and a wire board descended down with the pilot training a pistol at Lelouch.
And bloody hell she was beautiful.
The pilot was a tall woman with long silver hair tied into a pony tail and golden eyes shining with ambition.
Also once again leaving me wondering just who the hell was in charge of designing the pilot suits for women in the greater portions of the Britannian army. Seriously the design was kind of impractical.
I remember when a designer tried get something similar to mom, maybe a bit skimpier. He was lucky father decided to let him live, instead demoting him to basically a janitor in a small base at the northernmost point in Area One.
"Stay there! I'll check your I.D. cards!" The woman ordered out as she moved closer. Making sure to keep an eyes on the both of us, and her weapon trained on Lelouch.
This way she could open fire on him and than myself if she deemed me a threat.
But she would never get a chance to do so.
"Now then, hand over your Knightmare to me!" Lelouch ordered as his Geass flared to life and she fell under his control.
She stood straight in attention as a red ring formed around her irises.
"Understood." The woman said as she hoistered her weapon and tossed him her activation key. "It's number is XG2-IG2D4."
"Very well. Now wait here 10 minutes from now, with no memory of what has transpired here before seeing us." Lelouch ordered.
"Of course Your Majesty." The woman said as Lelouch turned to face me.
"Now let's get your Knightmare." Lelouch said, getting me to nod.
But first there was something that I needed to test out and Lelouch has provided the perfect opportunity.
I gently set down the mysterious woman's corpse and walked over to Lelouch.
"Can I see that pistol real quick?" I asked, getting my brother to nod as he handed me the gun.
"What exactly are you planning Y/N." Lelouch inquired as I brought out a phone.
"I want to try something, how about the a possible sleeper agent?" I said, getting him to grin.
"Go ahead then." He said as he took a step back, looking like he was curious on how this will play out
I took a deep breath and proceeded to play record on my phone.
Unlike Lelouch I do not have a near perfect recall or photographic memory, so it would be best to have some record if I need to recall some orders.
Alright her goes nothing.
"May I ask about which unit you serve under?" I said with my Geass flaring to life.
Her irises gained a violet ring this time and unlike with Lelouch her position was more relaxed.
"The Pureblood faction my liege." The woman said calmly, getting me to nod.
Should have figured given the insignia across the chest of her uniform and the red band on her right arm.
Mostly a bunch a xenophobic idiots wishing to promote the good old ways of Britannian noble society. There were some good people in their like all sections, but most of them were classist, xenophobic idiots that got in through a mixture of skill, connections, and possible nepotism.
"I see and what would your name be?" I asked her.
"It is Villeta Nu my liege." She said.
"Well then Miss Nu from now on when you here the words 'By the order of Lady Marianne.' spoken by myself you will obey every order I give you. And when I say 'That will be all.' You will remember nothing of that period. Understood?" I asked, getting her to nod.
"I understand my liege. Do you have anything else for me?" She inquired, surprising me a little. But I quickly put it down.
"Of course. If anyone asks why you lost your Knightmare, tell them that you heard gunfire from this warehouse. Firing upon it and finding a still alive Royal Guard and him ordering you to help him out." I said before training the pistol at the corpse of the lead guard.
And taking a shot at his gut.
That was for Suzaku.
"And I'll leave the rest for you to figure out." I said, getting Villeta to nod.
"Of course my liege" Villeta said before she drew her gun and placed it on the ground. "Wouldn't it be better to make it seem like an ambush."
"Good point. Now lay down on the ground until Lelouch's time limit runs out." I said before turning off my Geass and my recording. Villeta nodded as she complied with my order while I approached her. "Sorry about this."
"It's alright my liege." Villeta said as I gently tapped her head with the pistol.
Leaving a mark as she lied down onto the ground.
"Not bad Y/N, creating a scenario in which our spy will seem more believable than simply losing her Knightmare." Lelouch said as he took back the pistol.
"And if she gets any trouble she can blame most of it on that pounce." I said, pointing at the lead guard and getting Lelouch to nod.
"True, but while this has been a valuable experience we need to move. We can experiment with our Geass later." Lelouch said, something which I agreed with.
Still it was an interesting experience to say the least.
"Do you still know how to pilot a Knightmare? Wouldn't put it past you to research it on the side." I said with Lelouch smirking in response.
"Somewhat, but a Sutherland shouldn't be that different from a Glasglow from what I heard." My brother said, getting me to shake my head at that as I picked up the mysterious woman's corpse.
"Not entirely, it has some more bells and whistles but you should pick up on it easily enough." I said as I adjusted her on my back.
Was it just me or does the hole in her head seem a little smaller now?
Probably just my imagination, but maybe...
I was broken from my musings as a gunshot ring out. Looking around I saw that Lelouch had shot another bullet into the lead guard's corpse, nearby my shot.
"Normally I would never engage in something like this, but for him I am willing to make an exception." Lelouch a little venomously, getting me to nod.
"Alright then let's get in the Sutherland now." I said, with Lelouch nodding calmly as I followed behind him.
I took a quick look back of the carnage we had left in our wake.
This was the place where everything would truly begin. To anyone else this would seem like a derelict warehouse in Shinjuku. A leftover marker of the battle that would probably be demolished soon enough. A relic stained in blood and riddled with bullets like so many buildings after the war.
But here, here is place I suppose that with what we were going to do next would be where it truly started.
For after all these years, the revolution begins now.
(5 minutes later)
"Y/N when you said that you had a Knightmare I thought that you meant a Glasglow or a Sutherland...but not this is. What I can assume to be a next generation prototype. Was this what you were planning on doing earlier this week?" Lelouch asked as he sat on the wire board as I made a quick inspection of the Knightmare before closing the back of the truck.
After a quick and cramped ride in the Sutherland's cockpit we reached the warehouse where I had stashed the truck and Lancelot Club in.
I had put the mysterious woman in the truck's cab as considering what happened in the other warehouse it might be a good idea to quickly move to another location for a quick getaway once we are done.
"Actually I do have a Sutherland, but still working on putting it together. That and I got the plan from an idiot I knew from the JLF to take this Knightmare frame. It is still a prototype and they had been finishing up fixing the bugs." I said.
Well minus a small issue with the Blaze Luminous in the right forearm that they or I couldn't fix. Best not to use it too much.
"And when did you get a Sutherland?" Lelouch asked incredously.
"The Halcrowe scandal, me and Sayoko took the crates of parts in the chaos." I said, getting Lelouch to nod with a smirk.
He enjoyed that, hearing how the one in charge of shipping Knightmare frames in Southeast Asis for the Britannian Empire had been shipping of parts for some nobles wishing to carve out their own territories in Britannia controlled Areas. Paying him a small fortune for the parts.
All put down in a matter of six hours once they were found out, double that for the clean up.
Lelouch took joy in that debacle, cause it costed the Imperial Family a fortune to sweep up a debacle caused by some arrogant nobles who could have justed requested the territory under the supervision of a Viceroy.
They never did recover all of the parts, I estimate that besides the Sutherland we stole and extra parts we heald was about a third of what was missing.
"And I assume there is a reason why you haven't assembled it yet." Lelouch inquired, getting me to nod.
"I was testing on a remnant of the Ganymede project that was deemed useless and scrapped. It was just that the Ganymede couldn't handle the strain." I said, with realization dawning on Lelouch's face.
"If it is what I think it is our mother would be proud. She was looking forward to seeing it work." Lelouch said with a small smile before turning serious. "How well does it work and is it installed into this Lancelot Club?"
"Never been battle tested and I am not entirely sure how well it will do, but I had Sayoko installed it. This Knightmare while a new generation prototype is still has some similarities to a Sutherland according to the manual." I said, getting Lelouch to frown.
"I see and if this is a prototype than there is a great possibility that Clovis could deploy a more advanced prototype or a finished product." Lelouch said, getting me to nod.
"Then we had better be prepared then, I am not sure how well this will handle against a Knightmare like that." I said, getting Lelouch to nod.
"Very well, than let us begin our counterattack. We cannot allow Clovis to wipe out the Shinjuku Ghetto." Lelouch said with a grin, getting me to sigh as I knew that this meant for the entire world.
Lelouch was ready to deal a great blow to the Britannian Empire and to the Royal Family. The former will suffer it's first major setback for five years in this area. The later will suffer a blow they hadn't experienced since mother's death and my little brother's and sister's false death seven years ago.
And I was dreading having to do so...
"So what do you want me to do for now?" I asked Lelouch.
"I want you to make first contact with the resistance cell. I trust that you will know what to do and have them prepared for further instructions. After that seek out the red Glasglow and see what you can do to assist her. Await for further instructions. As for myself I will be finding out what is happening from the outside before joining up with you before planning out our next course of action." Lelouch said, getting me to nod.
It sounded like a good plan, I would lay down the ground work while Lelouch plans things from behind the scenes. Just like always I suppose.
"Still any idea to use for our call sign to use when communicating with the Kõzuki resistance cell?" I inquired.
"For now use K-2 and address me as K-1 when communicating with them." Lelouch said, getting me to nod before I started walked to the truck's cab. "You do know how this must end Y/N? What we must do to end this slaughter?"
I stopped in my tracks and sighed.
Oh I know and what it entails.
"I do and I would prefer not to do so...but Clovis has gone to far. He committed human experimentation and disguised it as a war crime before ordering an urban renewal just to take her back. Not even the worst of our siblings could do something like this, except Schneizel when he would abandoned the project as soon as he knew he would be caught." I said tersely.
Clovis while not exactly competent and harboring a hatred for the Japanese was mainly...alright with his job.
But still none of our other brothers and sisters would do such a thing, except for our snake of an older brother. Being exposed for this or poison gas is an easy way of getting disowned and worse by our father.
If Clovis succeeded in leveling the Shinjuku Ghetto and retrieving the mysterious woman through any means, there is no telling what he could do with her powers. That is if he could replicate them and Geass. It would only lead to more death as he would need people for test subjects and would have no qualms about using the Japanese as much as he would with massacring them.
He needed to be dealt with before this could continue.
Before me and Lelouch could proceed with the next step in our rebellion.
"I will handle Clovis when the time comes Y/N, we just need to make it through the battle to come first. I need to find out a few things from him first, but after that...I will make it quick." Lelouch said, his tone not wavering in the slightest.
"I know, but when the time comes at least let me say goodbye to him. He is still our brother, and it is the least we can do." I said, getting Lelouch to nod with a sigh.
"That I can agree with. Be careful Y/N." Lelouch said as he walked to the Sutherland.
"You too Lelouch." I said as I climbed into the truck's cabin and started to drive off as carefully as I could.
Which wasn't all that well to be honest.
Trying to keep myself together as I was going to lose an older brother today.
Clovis and Odysseus the only ones of the other princes that I could consider older brothers. Clovis was a snake and the other six were mainly entitled or bigoted idiots. We were close and helped me develope a passion for the arts, especially painting and acting.
So having to kill him was going to be a hard to do...for both me and Lelouch as he was still family.
Though more or less the part of our family that my younger brother could at most tolerate.
Still this was one hell of a mess we found ourselves in and one we were soon going to cause for Britannia.
Right now I need to focus on making sure me and Lelouch make it out of Shinjuku alive and stopping Clovis from wiping this area out.
There was a place nearby where I could stash the truck for our get away, along with rigging it to blow incase anyone unwanted stumbles upon it. That shouldn't take long.
After that I would need to find a place to leave the...wait is it just me or the hole in that woman's head nearly closed up?
I leaned in closer while keeping an eye on the road, inspecting her forehead and...
Bloody hell, Clovis just what did you find.
Her bullet wound had almost healed up already, and quickly checking for a pulse revealed nothing.
So her body had regenerative qualities to it, that would probably explain why she could survive the vaccine sealed chamber. Besides telepathy and the ability to beseech someone a Geass this woman had regenerative properties.
Meaning that there was probably more to it then that.
And it will probably be a good idea to bring her in the Knightmare then leave her in the truck...
I was startled from my musings as I heard a sickening crunch underneath the truck, forcing me to pull the breaks.
Please tell me that it wasn't someone who was Japanese. Looking out the window I saw the remains of someone in a Britannian solider's uniform and ruined tactical gear.
Okay I am in the clear for that, though perhaps it would be best to move the truck somewhere a little further just incase.
(3rd POV - Elsewhere in Shinjuku Ghetto- 10 minutes later)
Kaname Ohgi was currently being pinned down along with several other members of the Kõzuki resistance cell in returning fire.
Currently they were done evacuating a nearby apartment building when they were set upon by a Britannian patrol.
The second leader of the Kõzuki cell was trying to keep everything together. While they had been somewhat successful in evacuating some civilians, their numbers were spread thin. Already there was a number of casualties among them and Kallen's Glasgow has lost an arm.
Add in that they were running low on ammo and there had been no sign or call from Nagata since the Britannians decided to gun down everyone within the Shinjuku Ghetto just to get their poison gas back.
Ohgi feared the worst for him and hoped that he at least at least destroyed the gas with him.
"Hello..." Ohgi heard his radio going off. "Is there anyone that can please get me in touch with Ohgi?"
The former school teacher looked at the radio warily before ducking behind cover as a grenade went off.
"This is him, now who are you and how did you get this frequency?" Ohgi asked as Minami managed to catch a grenade that would have landed next to them and threw it back. With the grenade blowing up in mid air.
Ohgi let out a sigh of relief before the person on the radio spoke up again.
"I got this radio from Nagata. He told me to explain everything that happened before he died..." The voice trailed off, getting Ohgi and the others to pause for a few moments.
So it was true.
"How did he die?" Ohgi asked, dread filling his tone.
He suspected it for a while, but to hear it happen was another thing entirely.
"He died by blowing up the truck and saving myself, my partner, and a civilian from a patrol of Clovis's Royal Guard. Taking most of them and the gas with him. I tried to help him, but he refused. Mainly because Nagata knew he was going to bleed out due to an injury from a Knightmare's round." The voice said, with Ohgi thought over the words from a few minutes as Yoshida and Tamaki returned fire at their pursuers.
The former school teacher just sighed out as he figured the voice was telling the truth.
At least his friend managed to take out a few of the Britannians and the gas while saving a few civilians. Though it was going to be difficult to explain to his wife and daughter...
Along with the fact that with the gas was gone, their entire plan was for naught.
"I see, then are all of you out of the ghetto?" Ohgi asked, hoping that his sacrifice wasn't in vain.
"Well the civilian, me and my partner are still in Shinjuku. Actually the whole reason we where in Shinjuku Ghetto was to help you guys out. I believe you reached out a few days ago to the JLF, but they never answered back." The voice said, surprising Ohgi.
How did he know that?
"We did, thought they could help us but I guess not. Unless you two are with them?" He inquired.
"My partner wasn't, but I was a member for a few years. But I did intercept the request and the two of us came here to assist your resistance cell. Now I believe if the two of us worked together we can get out of this deathtrap alive and deal a crippling blow to Clovis himself." The voice said, getting a Ohgi and this around him to pause.
"Yeah right! This guy can't be for real!" Tamaki shouted out as the Britannians opened fire once again.
"A loudmouth I take it, Tamaki right? Nagata also asked me to pass on the message for someone to deck him for blotching the mission." The voice said, getting said loudmouth to pale as several glares were aimed at him. "As for being real, I am very much so. And as for some proof well..."
Suddenly a pair of Slash Harkens launched at a wall behind the patrol, pulling back and collapsing it on them.
The Kōzuki resistance cell turned their eyes to the source to see a Knightmare frame none of the recognized before it disappeared behind a building.
"I believe that should suffice. And before you asked this is a prototype frame that me and an another associate stole last night. My partner is currently in the other side of the ghetto in a stolen Sutherland, currently planning the best course of action for us all to get out of here and deal a critical blow to Britannia, the first one on Japanese soil since the miracle of Itsukushima during the war. Now we can continue on our separate ways and try to survive as long as can while getting as many civilians as possible out of here. Or we can pool our resources together and make it out of here?" The voice said, getting Ohgi to consider their options for a few moments.
"What do you expect us to do then?" He questioned despite Tamaki protesting.
They were spread thin enough evacuating civilians and fighting a losing battle.
And now they had someone with a prototype Knightmare frame and someone with a stolen Sutherland offering their assistance inorder to make it out of this alive. The former school teacher found it hard to believe and accept, but with more and more people getting gunned down it was a risk that was worth taking.
"For now continue to do what you are doing. Any minute now my partner will address himself as K-1 and give you instructions on what to do next. As for myself, just address me as K-2 and for now I am going to back up the Glasgow pilot while awaiting K-1's instructions. Radio chatter has them currently being chased by three Sutherlands." K-2 said, getting several sighs of relief as Kallen's ploy seems to be working.
Though Ohgi was feeling dread at what she was going against.
He already lost his best friend this week and so many other people this day. He was not going to risk losing her or anyone else as well.
"She was running decoy for us, but given that the Glasgow id missing an arm and the energy filter might run out soon." Ohgi said.
"Don't worry I'm already on my way there. Anyway just keep your comms open for K-1. I can assure you that we are going to get through this mess soon enough." K-2 said before the line cut off, getting Ohgi to sigh.
"I hope that you are right." Ohgi said as the radio started up again.
"Ohgi we managed to get everyone out of the building and the surrounding block. But what was up with that Knightmare frame? Is it on our side or not?" Sugiyama asked from the radio.
"It is on outside and get down here, we are going to need everyone one not evacuating civilians for what is about to happen next." Ohgi sighed out as he saw Inoue and Yoshida ganging up on a panicking Tamaki. "Save it for later you two, we need to move before another patrol spots us."
Ohgi had to wonder how Naoto was able to lead them for years. It had been nearly a week and he was struggling to keep them alive at this point. Yet it probably would have ended the same way as getting the poison gas and exposing Clovis was Naoto's idea.
And looked at where it got them.
Ohgi was sure that Naoto might have been able to find a way out of this, but he was pretty sure that they would have lost a good portion of their cell all the same.
So K-2's proposal was a little too good to be true and he couldn't just trust him or his partner.
But this was probably the best chance for getting everyone remaining alive, then he was going to take this chance.
(Y/N POV)
"I think that went well." I sighed out as I parked behind a building, using the Lancelot Club's factsphere to scan for anything nearby.
Using mainly the truth and a little display was usually a good way to convince others of you intentions. I may not be a master orator like Lelouch, but a mix of both words and actions should do the trick.
Though I honestly was looking forward to working with them. For the Kõzuki resistance cell was capable of stealing from Clovis and having a capable Knightmare pilot who was running laps around Sutherlands in a Glasgow showed that they have potential.
Along with one of the members that I saw around Ohgi seemed familiar to me, but I can't seem to recall correctly.
In due time I suppose, but for now there was another matter to discern.
Looking at the mysterious woman, the would from the headshot was almost completely healed up. Checking again for a pulse revealed nothing yet again.
Still it left me wondering on how this will end.
I was broken from musings when I heard my phone go off.
Checking it revealed that it was from Lelouch.
"Hello Lelouch how are things on your end?" I asked him.
"About as well as I expected, according to Shirley the only news coming from Shinjuku is a massive traffic jam. And that is going to be the story until Clovis is sure he secured the woman's body. Spinning whatever tale he pleases to justifying a mass slaughter once there is no one alive to tell otherwise." Lelouch said, getting me not nod.
"Wouldn't be surprised otherwise. I expected this just as much as Shirley being upset at you gambling again." I said with a smirk, getting Lelouch to sigh on the other end of the phone.
"She was and was worried that she couldn't reach you after trying to call me back in the tunnels." He said, getting me to nod
"Probably a good thing then. Either way I at least managed to get the Kõzuki resistance cell to be on board more or less. They are currently waiting to hear word from K-1 and I am currently en route to the Glasgow pilot." I said, briefly looking at the mysterious woman before deciding against it.
Need to confirm something first before I can tell him about her.
"That is good to hear Y/N, then it is time to begin." He said, getting me to nod.
"Of course and I take it that you have accounted for diverting resources to evacuating civilians?" I asked, getting a brief pause on the end of the line. "Lelouch..."
"I have Y/N." Lelouch said.
"Good it is best for everyone if we minimize civilian casualties." I said while shaking my head.
Evacuating civilians was probably not a main concern for him, mainly dealing as much damage and chaos for the Britannian forces as he plans.
Not the case for me, the less lives loss in the crossfire the better. We can't evacuate everyone, but it is best to do as much as we can.
"Now then find a location to debrief on what we are going to do." Lelouch said, getting my to nod as I picked up a VTOL on the Knightmare's factsphere.
"Give me a minute." I said as I moved the Lancelot Club into position.
I waited to see if I could take it down, but it was out of range for my Slash Harkens. So I just let it pass above me before coming out of hiding.
"Alright what is it that you have planned." I asked my younger brother.
Grinning at hearing what my brother had planned.
This was about to be good.
(??? POV - 20 minutes later)
I can't seem to shake off these damned Britannians!
At least I know their attention is mainly off of everyone else.
But here I am with only one arm, the energy filter for my Glasgow almost empty, three Sutherlands constantly shooting after me, and constantly stopping to kill some murderous bastards that were gunning down civilians!
All of this could have been avoided if Tamaki had done his job properly!
We
Something that I am personally going to make him regret if he makes it out of this alive!
For now I need to just focus on getting them away from everyone else and just surviving before this Knightmare frame gives out. At least we can get as much of the residents out of the Shinjuku Ghetto before the Britannians could kill them all.
And a tank shot resounding only agitated further as I speed through an alleyway to cut off the Sutherlands.
Down the street I saw the tank aiming at an apartment building.
One that did not get a chance to open fire again as I destroyed it from behind with my Slash Harken.
It was cathartic to see the smoldering ruins of tank before it could kill anyone else. But I needed to keep moving.
"There is know use in escaping Eleven!" The pilots of one of the Sutherlands said as it caught up to me and looking through the factsphere the other two not that far behind.
I speed away, pushing the land spinners to their max before the Britannian bastards shot at me.
I ducked through another alleyway, and barely got out of the way from a hail of bullets that would have torn me to shreds.
That was too close!
"You in the Glasgow this has been a marvelous chase, but it is all coming to an end! For no Eleven can escape Jeremiah Gottwald!" The pilot shouted, the same one who attacked us on the highway and the one leading the chase.
Also the one who wouldn't keep shutting up everytime he thought that he had the upper hand!
Unfortunately this time with the energy filter running out and two Sutherlands currently gunning for me he had it this time.
Once I ran out of power I would be nothing more then an easy target for them and I was quickly running out of places to cut them off and safely eject....
"Use the Western Enterance!" A voice sounded off on the radio. A voice I didn't recognize at all. "Use the tracks to the Western Enterance!"
"Who is this? How did you get this frequency?!" I demanded.
There was no way that I was going just going to listen to somebody unknown using our radio frequency, think again.
"If it helps out the rest of your resistance cell is heading in that direction from the opposite way. My partner believes it holds the best chance of all of us to turn the tides against Britannia and make it out of Shinjuku Ghetto." A second voice said over the radio, shocking me. "But it will only work if you put some trust in us."
A way to turn this around, that seemed to hard to believe at this point. Before we were struggling on making sure that our people only suffered the least amount of causalities from the Britannians. But now these voices were offering a chance of victor.
I find that hard to believe, this could be a trap for all I know.
Yet it seems like Ohgi and the others are following their direction, if what they said is true. Sounds like they could be r in wzlounding us to the slaughter.
That is if they were Britannians luring us for a trap.
But if it all was true, then it was worth the risk.
I am running out of options and any chance to make the Britannians pay was alright with me.
But if this was a trap I will spend what time I have left making them all regret it!
"You better be right about us winning!" I said as I saw the western enterance.
"I am, but you are going to have to trust in us! If we are all going to survive a defeat the Britannians we are going to require your full cooperation!" The first voice said tersely.
Seeing my chance I speed through and jumped onto the old rail bridge.
"Alright now what am I supposed to do?!" I said as the three Sutherlands got onto the bridge and began to catch up to me.
With nothing to cover behind it was only a matter of time until they caught up to me.
"Since you trusted us, you get to win. There is a train approaching your location, jump on it!" The first voice ordered.
"And I should be there in a few moments." The second voice said before the radio went silent.
I didn't have long to question them as I saw a cargo train coming down the tracks.
Here goes nothing.
I jumped over the train and onto the cars and drove down the length of the train. But the train was quickly stopped by Jeremiah's Sutherland.
The other Sutherlands then began to flank me. One of them along the length of the train and the other one jumping into the train.
And it was immediately destroyed by a pair of Slash Harkens fired by a nearby building.
Looking at the source it was from a Sutherland with Pureblood colors parked in a building next to the rails.
Why did it fire it's Slash Harkens at their own Knightmare's....unless it was one of the voices from the radio.
"Flank the Glasgow, I'll deal with this." Jeremiah ordered before turning his Knightmare to face the rouge Sutherland. "Friendly fire?! You there, what's your name and your unit?! We're after the one armed Glas-"
He was thankfully shut up as the rouge Sutherland opened fire upon him.
And the other Sutherland lost both it's arms to another pair of Slash Harkens before a white and blue Knightmare I had never seen before jumped onto the bridge and destroyed it.
I was a little shocked to see it, but I saw Jeremiah's Sutherland pulling back. Minus it's left arm and leg being blown off by gunfire.
Seeing the opretunity I charged towards the Sutherland, letting out a war cry. Destroying it and forcing Jeremiah to eject.
I grinned at seeing the results, still in some disbelief.
Those free Sutherland's had been chasing me almost nonstop, and here they are reduced to scrap. I even forced the braggart leading the chase to eject.
It felt good to have done so, but I couldn't have done so without those two voices on the radio. Otherwise I wasn't sure how much longer I could have kept that up before the Glasgow gave out.
"Thank you for saving me back there." I said through the Knightmare's loudspeakers as I turned to look at the Sutherland. "But how did you get those Knightmare Frames?"
However it had just vanished without a trace!
Seriously how was it able to do so quietly.
"It's no problem and how we got them, we stole them simple enough. Though I stole this prototype from a facility last night for this occasion." The loudspeakers from the blue and white Knightmare said as it took the rifle from the Sutherland he destroyed. With myself recognizing the pilot's voice as the second one on the radio. "Anyway are you alright?"
"I'm fine." I said before I picked something on the Glasgow's factsphere.
It was Ohgi along with Inoue, Yoshida, and Minami along with a majority of my brother's resistance cell.
"So they contacted you as well?" I asked them through the loudspeakers, seems like everything the voices said was true so far.
"They did, Sugiyama's group should be here soon after evacuating some more civilians." He said, getting me to nod.
But then a noticed that a certain loudmouth wasn't among the group.
"Where is Tamaki?" I said, getting Ohgi to sigh.
"With Sugiyama to keep him safe from you, save punishing him for after we get out of this mess." Ohgi said, getting to growl inwardly.
Damn it, hate to admit it but he is right.
But I suppose it will be more satisfying afterwards if we make it out alive.
"Fine." I sighed out as Ohgi's radio started to crackle.
"It seems like everyone is here now, I take it that this is Ohgi?" The voice of who I believed to be the Sutherland's pilot.
"Yes, that would be me." Ohgi said with a nod.
"Good, K-2 I know you are listening to this. I need you to secure a perimeter around our general area until I order otherwise." The voice on the radio said.
"On it K-1." 'K-2' said as he began to move his Knightmare towards the back of the bridge. "I will be back in a few minutes to help out. Until then enjoy your reward guys."
With that he jumped off the bridge and speed off past where I could see him on my factsphere.
What did he mean by that?
"The cargo on the train is our gift to you. It has the tools for your victory. If you want to use them to win, then follow our orders!" 'K-1' said over the radio before it went silent as Yoshida and Minami opened one of the doors to the train cars.
I was pretty sure everyone in the resistance cell had the same expression of shock as they opened the cars one after another.
They were Sutherlands, at least a dozen of them deactivated.
This was a supply train to provide back up for the Britannians in Shinjuku...and I technically helped steal it away from them.
Just who the hell are K-1 and K-2?
Those two of them were able to steal Knightmares from the Britannians and were giving away these Sutherlands like they were nothing.
If they were capable of that and with these Sutherlands, we might actually have a chance of winning this...
"Woman in the Glasgow." 'K-1' said on my radio, breaking me out my thoughts. "What is the status of your energy filter?"
"I have about 15 minutes left." I said.
"Then change out your filter then and be in standby. You will be running decoy. I'll contact you in ten minutes with your code names and instructions." 'K-1' said.
"From there we will begin our counterattack and turn the tides on Britannia. We will win this and make it out of here, that I can promise." 'K-2' said before my radio went silent and I grinned.
With those two and these Sutherlands, for the first time we might be able to win a victory against the Britannians.
(Y/N POV)
Alright things seem to be coming to ahead then. We have men and woman willing to fight with us and we have about a squad's worth Knightmares.
Considering that Clovis wished to keep this as secret as possible he probably only has enough troops to keep this as quietly as possible while also enough to cause a massacre. And we just stole all of the Sutherlands he was planning on using as back up.
Add in Lelouch's direction and we had a good shot at turning this around.
It was still going to be an uphill battle, but I am pretty sure we will make it out of this alive.
Speaking of which.
Looking over at the mysterious woman, the hole in her head was completely gone. Not a single trace left.
And she was breathing now.
This woman was not only capable of regeneration but she could also come back from the dead.
Better wait til she was awake before telling Lelouch, otherwise he probably wouldn't believe me otherwise.
So here I am, sharing a cockpit of a super advanced mech with a mysterious green haired woman. About to rebel against a globe spanning empire.
Sounds kind of crazy and maybe something I heard of before, but I couldn't care either way.
It is about time to rebel, time for me and Lelouch to start bring the corrupt foundations for this world down.
Our rebellion has officially begun.
(Chapter 5 end)
Hey guys Mukuro7 here and I hoped that you all enjoyed this chapter.
As of now the Battle of Shinjuku and the Black Rebellion have officially begun. With Y/N and Lelouch testing their Geass a little more and preparing for the battle ahead. Along
with Y/N realizing why Clovis truly wanted to experiment on C.C.
Anyway next chapter will have the entire Battle of Shinjuku, from the Kōzuki resistance cell's counter attack, to the inclusion of the Lancelot, and the ceasefire. It is going to be quite the long chapter, so I hope that you all will enjoy it when it comes out.
So until next time, ciao!
