It was the next day, and Y/n was riding his board down the sidewalk as he made his way to Canterlot High. He was still pretty disappointed that his father's briefcase was empty, but it wasn't thar big of a deal. His life will go on anyway, but he would still wonder why his father brought it with him that night.

Y/n: *shakes head* "Forget about it. It doesn't matter."

Y/n tells himself as he finally arrives at CHS. He hops off of his board and carries it under his arm as he makes his way to the front entrance, only to stop when he hears something and he shivers. He turns around to look for what he heard, only to see the base of the CHS statue shimmering with light. His eyes go wide in surprise at the sight before two bright flashes blind him, making him cover his eyes to avoid further damage to them. When he uncovered them, however, he saw a girl and a dog lying on the ground.

The girl had light purple skin with long purple hair with two streaks of different shades of purple in it and round, purple eyes. She wears a light blue blouse with short sleeves, a purple skirt with a star on it, and knee-high purple boots. The girl was... extremely purple.

Even her dog was purple, which was very surprising.

Y/n: "What the...?"

The dog groans and stands on its paws before shaking its head. It looked around before turning to the girl who looked unconscious, and Y/n assumed she was its owner.

And then it spoke.

Purple Dog: "Twilight?"

Y/n's jaw dropped when the dog spoke, and the girl, who he called Twilight, groaned as her eyes slowly opened and she looked to find her dog.

Twilight: "Wha--? Spike? I thought you weren't supposed to--?"

Twilight stops and stares at her dog, named Spike, in what appears to be shock.

Twilight: "Spike? Are you a... dog?"

Spike walks in a circle, examining himself before moving his tail back and forth.

Spike: "I-I think so. But... I don't know what you are."

Y/n: "Holy crap, your dog just talked."

Both Spike and Twilight turned to Y/n in surprise to see his confounded face. This made Twilight chuckle as she points at the statue base with her whole fist.

Twilight: "Oh, uh... so you saw all of that?"

Y/n nodded, and both Twilight and Spike nervously looked at each other.

Spike: "I guess you want an explanation?"

Y/n: "He's still talking."

Twilight: "Yeah, he tends to do that. Do you want an explanation, or...?"

Y/n: "R-right. Here, let me help you up."

Y/n walked toward Twilight and offered her a hand, only for her to look at it weirdly.

Twilight: "What are you doing with those?"

Y/n: "Offering you my hand so you can grab it with yours...?"

Twilight: "Hand...?"

Twilight questioned before looking at her closed fists. She then opens them up to look at her hands and fingers... only to end up screaming like a banshee, which made Y/n cover his ears.

Y/n: "Dear God, you have some lungs!"

Twilight immediately covers her mouth with her hands before muttering out a small "Sorry". She then removes them from her mouth and looks at them in wonder and confusion.

Twilight: "What in Equestria happened to my hooves?!"

Y/n: "Hooves? Why would you have hooves?"

Spike: "You see, where not from here. We come from an alternate dimension where Twilight here is a magical pony princess, and I am a fire-breathing dragon!"

Y/n: "Magical... pony... princess...."

Y/n said in confusion before he slowly falls to his knees in defeat.

Y/n: "Okay, this is by far the weirdest dream I've ever had."

Spike quickly slaps Y/n across the cheek, making him yelp in surprise before turning to glare at the dog.

Y/n: "Hey, what was that for?!"

Spike: "There, now you know it's not a dream."

Y/n glared at the dog as he rubbed his cheek in pain, but Twilight quickly spoke up.

Twilight: "So what's your name?"

Y/n: "I'm Y/n. Y/n L/n. You?"

Twilight: "Twilight Sparkle, and this is Spike. Can you tell us where we are?"

Y/n: "In Canterlot, in front of the school with the same name."

Twilight: "Canterlot is a school here?"

Y/n: "It isn't from where you're from?"

Twilight: "Nope. It's a kingdom/castle. But I did study there when I was younger."

Y/n: "Oookaay... Why are you here?"

Twilight: "Right! Almost forgot! Silly me."

Twilight said as she smacked her forehead with her fist, only to wince in pain as she basically punched herself. This makes Spike snicker at her, but he quickly shuts up when she glares at him. Then she turns back to Y/n.

Twilight: "Something that belonged to me was stolen. It's a crown, one part of five other magical artifacts known as the Elements of Harmony. Without it, the other Elements won't be able to work and that would leave my home in major danger."

Y/n: "Stolen, huh? Any idea who stole it?"

Twilight: "Someone named Sunset Shimmer, if I remember correctly."

Y/n: "Of course it was her."

Twilight: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Y/n: "I'll explain later. For now, we got a crown to find."

Y/n told Twilight as he stood up and offered her a hand. However, both her and Spike looked at him in confusion.

Spike: "Wait, you're gonna help us?"

Y/n: "Eh, got nothin' better to do. Besides, this is the most exciting thing to happen to me since I was six. What kind of person would I be if I just walked away after hearing all that?"

Spike: "A perfectly reasonable one."

Twilight shot the dog a glare, and Y/n sighs.

Y/n: "Look, you at least need a guide, don't you? You obviously have no idea what you're getting into."

Twilight: "I have a perfectly good idea about what I'm getting into! ... but it would be nice to have a guide."

Twilight said as she placed her fist on Y/n's palm before opening it to lay her hand on it. Y/n wrapped his fingers around her hand as she smiled.

Y/n: "There we go. Now, come on. Up you go."

Y/n said as he pulled Twilight up to her feet. However, she quickly began stumbling since she wasn't used to being on two feet and nearly fell, only for Y/n to catch her.

Y/n: "Whoa! Easy there. Man, we need to work on your walking skills."

Twilight: "Yeah, no kidding. Think I can hold onto you until I get used to it?"

Y/n: "Oh. Uh, sure. I guess I don't mind."

Twilight: "Thank you."

Y/n nodded as Twilight grabbed his arm, and the two began walking toward the school's front entrance, albeit with some difficulty from Twilight. This got some snickers from Spike, only to be quickly shut up again by a glare from the princess. Then she turns back to Y/n.

Twilight: "So you said something about how it was, of course, Sunset Shimmer. Do you know her?"

Y/n: "Who doesn't at this school? She's a huge jerk to everyone and the self-proclaimed ruler of the school. No one really likes her."

Twilight: "Well, I already don't like her."

Y/n: "As I said, no one does. Any idea what she wants to do with your magic crown?"

Twilight: "I have no idea, but it can't be anything good. So I have to find it quickly before anything happens."

Y/n: "Well, with my help, you should be able to find it with no problem."

Twilight: "Hopefully."

Soon the two came up to the front entrance and Y/n goes to open the door. However, Twilight stops him with her hand.

Twilight: "Please, allow me."

She said with the utmost confidence, making Y/n look at her in confusion. She steps forward, only to walk right into the door and stumble back a bit.

Twilight: "Wh-what?"

Y/n: "Well, what were you expecting? For it to open up on its own?"

Twilight: "Sorta. Why's my magic not working?"

Twilight asked as she rubbed her head.

Spike: "Probably because you don't have your horn anymore."

Twilight: "What?!"

Twilight questioned as she felt around for her horn, which was no longer there.

Spike: "Yeah. Oh, and I should mention that your muzzle is, like, way smaller now."

Twilight: "My muzzle?!"

Twilight felt around her face and then touched her nose. The realization she basically didn't have her nose anymore made her panic as she slowly began to hyperventilate, and she opened her mouth to scream only for Y/n to stop her by covering her mouth.

Y/n: "You're not gonna scream again, are you?"

Twilight shakes her head in response, letting Y/n know she wouldn't. So Y/n takes his hand away from her, making the interdimensional princess sigh.

Twilight: "I really don't want to be like this longer than I have to."

Spike: "Well, look on the bright side! At least you don't have to worry about those pesky wings anymore."

Twilight gave Spike an "Are you serious?" look as he gives her a nervous smile. However, Y/n looks at her in confusion.

Y/n: "Wings?"

Twilight: "Long story for another time. Can you, uh, open the door, please?"

Y/n: "Of course."

Y/n nodded and opened the door, letting Spike walk in first before following with Twilight. She looked around in wonder as Y/n motioned to everything with his free hand.

Y/n: "Welcome to Canterlot High."

Twilight looked around in awe before noticing a glass case on one side of the entrance area. She walks over to it, accidentally dragging Y/n with her before looking into the case with Spike.

Twilight: "What do you think, Spike? More artifacts she's stolen from Equestria?"

Y/n: "Actually, those are just trophies and stuff the students earned."

Twilight: "Oh."

Twilight said before noticing her reflection in the glass. She feels around her face as she looks at herself in shock.

Twilight: "What in the...? I look like you, Y/n."

Y/n: "Well, not exactly. You're human, just like me. That's why you look like this."

Twilight: "This is by far the weirdest thing I have been a part of so far."

Y/n: "Tell me about it."

The bell suddenly rings, making Twilight look up in confusion. However, Y/n's face dropped in realization that it was the first period bell.

Y/n: "Ah, crud."

Dozens of students came piling out of their homerooms and into the hallways. The sudden swarm of them started pushing Y/n and Twilight around before they got separated, and the latter fell to the ground with Spike underneath her. She starts crawling away as Y/n starts yelling as he's pushed around in the crowd of students.

Y/n: "H-hey! Wait a second, stop pushing!"

Twilight crawls away and squeezes out of the crowd, only to roll when she pops her foot out and knock into someone who was looking in their locker. The student quickly closes his locker and looks down at Twilight in surprise.

Blue-Haired Student: "Whoa! You okay?"

He asks as he offers Twilight a hand. She looks at it for a moment before taking it, and the student helps her up to her feet. Once she's up, she awkwardly nods as an answer to his question. Seeing as she was okay, the student then smiled at her before walking away and into the crowd of students.

Spike: "I don't think we're ready for this."

Y/n then squeezed through the crowd and stumbled into the hallway as Twilight and Spike turned to him.

Y/n: "There you are, Twilight. You alright?"

Twilight: "I'm fine, thank you for asking."

Y/n: "Good, I was a bit worried after we got separated. You can get lost in this place without knowing the layout."

Twilight: "I bet."

Y/n: "And hey, you're already standing on your own two feet by yourself. You're a natural already."

Twilight: "Oh, yeah. Thank you. Hey, do you think you can show me around so I don't get lost in case we get separated again?"

Y/n: "I don't see why not. Come on, follow me. I know this place like the back of my hand."

Y/n said as he walked past Twilight and down the hall, and the princess followed him.

Twilight:
"🎶I've never seen a place
That's quite like this
Everything is turned around
This crazy world is upside-down🎶"

Y/n begins the tour for Twilight, showing her around the school. She looks all around her at the students she passes by, amazed at how each person looks.

Twilight:
"🎶Getting on my feet
It's the hand that I was dealt
But I don't have much time with them
Got to learn all that I can🎶"

Twilight stumbles on her feet and falls to the floor. Y/n quickly helps her up as a student passing by looks at them weirdly. Y/n ignores him, but Twilight feels embarrassed as she looks at her hands. However, she quickly grows a determined look as she clenches her new hands into fists.

Y/n soon continues the tour, and as he shows Twilight around, the princess watches everyone she passes by. She saw some student playing hackey-sack, a group were doing performances in the hall, and two students were holding hands as they walked by. She looks over at Y/n and at his hand before looking at hers before shaking her head.

Twilight:
"🎶They don't use any magic or fly with any wings
I don't get these funny clothes, skinny legs or tiny nose🎶"

As Y/n brings her down a hallway, Twilight peers into a classroom to see a teacher writing on a blackboard. Then she looked at herself, eyeing her new clothes in curiosity.

Twilight:
"🎶Everything's confusing when it seems so new
But I look a little closer and it starts to feel familiar too🎶"

As Twilight follows Y/n, a group of young girls run by them. Twilight looks at them in confusion before realizing they looked familiar somehow. Both she and Spike looked at each other in confusion.

Twilight:
"🎶What a strange new world (what a strange new world)
I'm trying to make heads or tails of this strange new world (what a strange new world)
Sorting through the small details of this strange new world
What a strange new world🎶"

Later, Y/n seems to have lost Twilight as he looking all over for her. However, he hears a yell from the boy's bathroom before seeing Twilight run out of it. He quickly runs after her to make sure she was okay.

After catching up with her, Y/n was talking to Twilight as they walk down a hallway.

Y/n: "Twilight, you can't just dissappear like that."

Twilight: "Sorry about that, Y/n. I guess I just got curious."

Y/n: "It's fine. Just make sure to stay close. Remember, this place can be a nightmare to get around if you don't know the layout."

Twilight nodded at Y/n's instructions as they walked together. However, they both stopped when they heard a quiet voice speaking, and Twilight brought her hand to where she thought her ear would be, only to realize it was now smaller and at the side of her head now. So she cupped her ear there and Y/n leaned from behind the corner to see who it was, only to see Sunset yellinga at a girl.

This girl had yellow skin with long, pink hair with a white butterfly hairclip and blue eyes. She wore a white tank top with a green and pink skirt that had three butterflies on it, along with knee-high green boots and pink socks.

Quiet Girl: "Oh, I'm really sorry. I-I just found it and-and I thought I should give it to her. I didn't know it you had dropped it."

Twilight joined Y/n in peeking from around the corner as Sunset began speaking.

Sunset: "Well, I did! And I was about to get it before you swooped in ruined everything! You shouldn't pick up things that don't belong to you."

Quiet Girl: "It doesn't really belong to you either..."

Sunset: "Excuse me?!"

Sunset yelled at the girl as she slams her hands on the lockers on either side of her. The quiet girl meekly slides down to the ground in fear.

Quiet Girl: "N-nothing..."

Sunset: "That's what I thought. It's as good as mine, and you know it."

Both Twilight and Y/n looked down at Spike to see he was growling at the scene before him, which Y/n understood. He'd be growling as well if he were a dog.

Sunset: "You really are pathetic. No wonder your best friends are all stray animals."

Y/n narrowed his eyes at the back of Sunset's head, but it was Twilight who acted. She stood from the corner and stomped her feet before speaking up.

Twilight: "How dare you speak to her that way?"

Sunset, a bit surprised, quickly turns and glares at Twilight.

Sunset: "What did you say?"

Twilight: "I said, how dare you speak to her that way?!"

Twilight said as she marched towards Sunset, who stomped towards her as well.

Y/n: "This is a really bad idea."

Y/n said as he follower Twilight as she and Sunset starred each other off with heavy glares. However, Sunset starts to smirk as she flicks at the princess' chin.

Sunset: "You must be new here. I can speak to anyone any way I want."

Sunset says as she begins to walk away before glaring at a random student, who gets frightened and hides inside of a locker. When she leaves, the quiet girl finally stands back up as she faces Twilight.

Quiet Girl: "I can't believe you just did that."

Twilight: "I couldn't just stand there."

Quiet Girl: "Well, it's just that no one ever stands up to Sunset Shimmer."

Twilight: "Sunset Shimmer?"

Quiet Girl: "Yeah. The only other person who had done it recently was--"

The girl stopped when she recognized Y/n, who awkwardly waved at her when he noticed her looking at him.

Quiet Girl: "It's you! You're the boy from yesterday who stood up to her at lunch."

Y/n: "Yep, that's me. Hi. I'm Y/n."

Quiet Girl: "It's nice to meet you. It was very brave what you did yesterday."

Y/n: "Oh, uh, thank you."

Y/n said with a blush as he rubbed the back of his head, not used to being complimented like that. However, the girl ignored it and turned to Twilight.

Quiet Girl: "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you a new transfer student from another school?"

Twilight: "Uh... yep! Another, heheh... school."

Y/n: "She's from... Manehatten. I'm showing her around."

Twilight: "Name's Twilight. What's yours?"

Fluttershy: *quietly* "I'm... Fluttershy..."

Twilight: "Sorry, what was that?"

Fluttershy: *quietly* "It's Fluttershy...!"

Y/n: *to Twilight* "Did you get that?"

Twilight: "I think she's saying... Fluttershy? But... how can that--?"

Before Twilight could say another word, Fluttershy noticed Spike and her eyes immediately turned into stars as she ran towards him, neatly knocking Twilight off of her feet.

Fluttershy: "Oh, my! And who's this sweet little guy?"

Twilight: "That's Spike. My, uh, dog."

Y/n: "Yeah. Dog."

Fluttershy: "Oh, he's so cute!"

Fluttershy says before reaching into her backpack and piling out a dog treat, which she offers to Spike.

Fluttershy: "Go on, little one. Eat up."

Spike looks at the dog treat and cautiously takes a small bite out of it. However, his eyes go wide as how good it tastes and he gobbles up the rest in one bite.

Fluttershy: "Oh, wouldn't you just give anything to know what they're really thinking?"

Twilight: "Oh, he usually just tells me."

Fluttershy: "What do you mean?"

Fluttershy asks as she turns to Twilight, and Y/n jabs the princess in the side with his elbow.

Y/n: "Oh, she's just kidding, right, Twilight?"

Twilight: "O-oh, right! Yes! Just a little joke. Heheh."

Spike then barks to solidify what they were saying, and Fluttershy simply shrugs before going back to admiring how cute Spike was.

Twilight: "Hey, uh, Sunset was yelling at you for you picking something up that she said belonged to her. It wasn't a crown, was it?"

Fluttershy: "Yes, it was. How did you know?"

Twilight: "Uh... lucky guess? Do you still have it?"

Fluttershy shakes her head, telling Twilight "no".

Y/n: "But do you know what happened to it?"

Fluttershy nodded her head, and began telling the story of what happened earlier that morning.

Fluttershy: "This morning, I was passing out flyers for the animal shelter like I do every Wednesday. Although, it wasn't going very well... Then I felt something hit me in the head, and when I looked at it, it was the crown! I have no idea how it got there. But I didn't want anything to happen to it, so I decided to give it to Principal Celestia."

Twilight: "Principal Celestia? She's the ruler here?"

Fluttershy: "You... could say that. Technically, I guess she and Vice-Principal Luna do make the rules."

Twilight: "Where is she now?"

Y/n: "She's most likely in her office."

And with that, Twilight and Spike suddenly ran off in two different directions. Fluttershy grows confused at this and turns to Y/n curiously, who just shrugs.

Y/n: "She does this. She'll be back soon, though."

Right as Y/n said this, both Twilight and Spike awkwardly walked back to Y/n and Fluttershy.

Y/n: "C'mon, I'll show you the way."

Twilight: "Yes!" *to Fluttershy* "Thank you!"

Twilight and Y/n waved Fluttershy goodbye, but the girl quickly stopped them before they got very far.

Fluttershy: "Wait! You're not really supposed to have pets on school grounds. Might wanna tuck him into your backpack. That's why I do."

Fluttershy states as she turns around and her backpack opens, revealing a cat, a rabbit, and a bird. However, they quickly jump out as Y/n looks on in confusion. How'd they all fit in there?

Fluttershy: "They just get so lonely when I'm at school all day."

Twilight: "Oh, okay. Thank you!"

The school bell suddenly rang, making Fluttershy panic.

Fluttershy: "Oh, no! I'm late for class!"

Almost immediately, the animal lover quickly scooped up her animals into her backpack and ran off. Both Twilight and Y/n look at each other in confusion before shrugging and walking away.
