Xylie's POV

"There it is" I say as the building comes into view. "Lets go boys" I tell them and lead the way. Sulley and Mike following me. The lobby of the Monsters, Inc. headquarters is a whirlwind of activity. Tall, small, scaly, furry, slippery and slimy monsters of every shape and size scurry this fashion and that. Several call out greetings as we walk through the door together.

Sulley is popular at Monsters, Inc. And no wonder. Along one wall of the lobby, a line of framed photographs feature the Frightener of the Month. Sulley's picture is in every frame. He's won the award every month since he became a scarer.

I see Celia at our desk answering calls and putting them on hold. We approach and Mike announces our presents. She smiles when she turns to see us. "Happy birthday" Mike tells her. As I join her behind the desk.

"Oh, Googly-Woogly, you remembered!" Celia gushes. She leans forward and rubs Mike's round head. Her snakes sigh happily. Sulley stands there awkwardly, watching the couple flirt. I wink at him as I put my head set on and he smiles. 

"Hi Celia, happy birthday" I say.

"Thanks, have a good morning?" she asks.

"Yep" I say.

"Hi Sulley" she says.

"Hi Celia, happy birthday" he says.

"Thanks" she says with a smile. Then turns her attention back to Mike. "Well, are we going anywhere special tonight?" she asks him.

"I just found us into a little place called Harryhausen's" Mike tells her.

"Harryhausen's?! But it's impossible to get a reservation there" Celia states.

"Not for googly bear" Mike tells her. "I'll see you at 5:01, and not a moment later" he tells her. Before leaving with Sulley.

"Sulley got the reservation didn't he?" Celia asks me.

"My lips are sealed" I tell her and hand her her present. "Something to wear tonight" I tell her.

"Oh it's beautiful, thank you" she says smiling at the bracelet. "We should get to work" she adds as the phone rings again.

"I'll start redirecting calls" I tell her. She nods and I press line one. "Hi this is Xylie of Monster's Incorporated, how may I direct your call?" I ask.

"Hi, we have a down power line on main street" a male voice says.

"I'll connect your to maintenance" I tell him and direct the call to them. "Maintenance, call about a down power line on line one" I state.

"Thanks Xylie" they persons says and I answer the next call.

"Hi, how may I direct your call?" I ask.

"I'd like to organize an interview with Mr Waternoose about the power shortage" a feminine voice says.

"Of course, I will connect you to PR" I tell her. This continues until a call from the CDA comes through. "I've told you before not to call on this number" I whisper while Celia is distracted giving a visit directions to Mr Waternoose's office.

"We want an update" the persons tells me.

"I'll have her call you at the usual time, don't call here again unless it's a CDA related case" I tell them. Then end the call.

"Who was that?" Celia asks.

"My mother, she wanted to talk to Sulley and congratulate him on being on TV this morning" I tell her.

"How cool is it that both our boyfriends were on TV?" she asks me. "Sorry, your fiance and my boyfriend" she corrects herself.

"It's great" I state. "Anyway, I need the loo. I'll be back" I tell her. She nods her head and I left. I go visit Roz in her office. "They called and want an update" I state.

"Honestly, when will they learn" she grumbles. "I shall call them at the end of the day, any updates on your end?" she asks.

"None, I'm afraid" I tell her sheepishly.

"Well get back to work, and let me deal with the higher ups" she tells me. I nod and leave her office. I return to the front desk and continue my job. Until lunch time and go to the cafeteria with Celia.

The rest of the day was boring. Mike came to collect Celia for their date. While I stayed behind to finish filing. Sulley agreed to do Mike's for him and returned to the scare floor to retrieve them. I wished him a good night after he declined my help with the files.

Once I finished my files. I go to leave when I hear Sulley yell. "Sulley!" I exclaim and run towards the scare floor to see what's wrong. As we should be the only ones in the building. Praying that nothing is seriously wrong.
