The Directors

(Y/N)

After that day, our group discussed a few key points after the meeting with the Admins.

1) This might be related to Tsurugi, since the first direct attack wasn't in the Minecraft HQ, but in the Lancelot Messenger HQ, which the Tsurugi's family owns. Admin Endou asked if there was a feud between the other messenger companies, but Tsurugi doesn't have a clue.

2) The code of the virus was found, and the only thing left is to solve the three, but as they said, the 2nd one has a catch. We volunteered to fix it, and send it as soon as possible to attack the virus.

3) Even if they formed a contract with the Everwing Corporation's director Kazemaru Ichirouta, they still need more labor and funds, because the game's income has decreased prior to the mass hacking of the MC. Although, there's a sole company that can help them by forming a single contract.

The World Gaming Center.

A prestigious corporation known for its success in gaming such as arcades, card games, legal gambling, and others. Its net worth is estimated as 3 Billion Yen, and yet, it has no known direct connections with anyone or other companies. That's why a lot of people wondered how it became this famous without the help of others.

Admin Endou told us that he once had a meeting with the directors of WGC in that place, however, they didn't show up, instead just letting them hearing their voices only. A male and a female, they say, but cannot tell how old they are and what they look like.

And then we are assigned to this request in an e-mail.

"As we work on taking back the game from the virus, can you guys send a request on the WGC's directors?"

And today, we are preparing to take a trip to the said corporation.

"How long must we wait for that urgent appointment schedule to finish, Shindou-san?" Tsurugi complained as he leaned on the wall.

Oh, by the way, we're at Shindou-senpai's manor for the preparation of going to the said company, because we can't get inside and have a meeting with the directors without an official appointment.

"Well, the WLAN is very slow today, so bear with it."

Meanwhile, Kariya is rummaging the ref, "Ah, your food stuff makes me throw up, Shindou-senpai. I mean, who the heck keeps every kind of vegetables inside this thing?"

I raised a brow, "Without any meat or fish?"

"Yeah?"

"Who gave you permission to open my ref? And its not all vegetables, use your eyes and find the meat, fish, eggs or whatever," He came to his ref and shut it loudly. "Few minutes and it's done. Wake up Kirino and Fei."

The two others woke up as we started to keep our things and mount the car. Shindou's car.

"We're going already?" Fei said while rubbing his eyes.

"Well, we need to. Admins asked us to do this." Tenma reminded.

"Wait, who's going to drive the car?"

"The driver will. Shindou has a driver, right?" Aoi said.

"Senpai's that rich?!" I said.

"Hey, now, I'm really not that rich. It's just none of my parents bothered to take a driver's license test to be able to drive a car." The oldest male replied. "Anyway, our family driver is currently with my parents so I'll drive."

"Shindou-senpai, can you really drive?" Kariya started mocking, "I bet the last time you drove, you almost hit a kid,"

"You shut up little brat or I'll tie you up in front of this car and crash to an electric post. Then I'll watch you electrocute to death."

"Hah, as if electrocution can kill me, asshole!"

Few minutes later

"NO NO NO WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING-"

Kariya's desperate shouts filled the space outside the mansion. He's currently being tied up in front of the car with a water hose by Shindou and Kirino.

"HEY YOU SHITTY PEOPLE GET ME OFF THIS CAR AND LET ME FUCKING GO"

The others, including me, are laughing behind them.

"I thought you said electrocution can't kill you? Let's have an experiment!" Kirino suggested.

"I can buy you an electric chair if you want," Shindou told him while struggling to tie the idiot.

"Senpai, I appreciate your generosity, but please understand that ITS A DAMN JOKE AND NO NORMAL HUMAN CAN SURVIVE ELECTROCUTION! NOW GET THESE SHITS OFF AND PUT ME DOWN"

"There's a lot of records of people who survived the electric chair punishment. Remember our history teacher on college? He has a list." Tenma interrupted.

"NOT YOU TOO TENMA"

"Alright," I said, fleeing Kariya from the tangled water hose, "I think we should go to the WGC now, the directors are waiting for us."

Kariya looked at me with sparkling eyes, "My savior..."

"No, I'm not. Don't stare at me like that."

"(Y/N)'s right." Aoi got up from her seat, "I'm all ready to talk to the directors for MC!"

"Me too!" Tenma and Fei agreed.

"Very well said, let's get in the car." Kirino opened the door of the car.

Shindou started driving to the gaming center and reached it after a matter of time. We parked the car, got off, and stood in front of the building.

You'll never believe how grand-looking it is.

"So this is the World Gaming Center," I hear Tsurugi mutter.

"Wow, it's so big! And it looks so rich and amazing!" Fei's eyes sparkled.

"Smile for the camera, people!" Aoi pulled out her phone and posed with the others in the background, posing the peace sign.

I joined, but I don't know if my face had space in the picture.

"Once we're done with the directors, can we try the games inside this? Who knows, maybe we can win lots of prizes or money!" Kariya said.

The brown-haired male sighed, "Suit yourself."

"Yes!!"

"I'm in too! I wanna try their games!" I butted in.

We entered the place, and we saw the giant screen displaying the current game of poker. Stacks of money are in a bet, and cards are all over the place. There are also other games like billiards, mahjong, blackjack, while players are either quietly thinking for their next move or laughing their asses off. It was a huge, gambling center, although everything is legal.

"I smell a lot of money and rich people everywhere," Kariya said.

"Well, there are also ones beside us." Tenma pointed.

"If this 1st building is this awesome, how much more if we saw the building?" Said Aoi.

"Man, I can't wait to see and arcade section!" My eyes turned into stars in thoughts.

"Guys, we can do that later, we should see the directors first." Kirino reminded.

"Yeah, fine..."

We asked the guard about the office of the executives and since we have the VIP cards, we were told to go the 2nd floor, where the executives' office and hall are located. The place is so large that we almost got lost. While on our way, Fei noticed some boards, painted gold pinned on the walls.

His face lit up"Guys, check this out! I've seen a couple of these pinned in the wall,"

"What's this about?" Tsurugi tilted his head a little.

We stood in front of the board and read it.

The 10 Pledges of The World Gaming Center

1. All crimes and illegal practices are forbidden in this gaming center.

2. Every conflict inside the center will be resolved through games.

3. In games, each player will bet something that they agree is of equal value.

4. As long as it doesn't violate pledge #3, anything may be bet, and any game may be played.

5. The challenged party or player has the right to decide the rules of the game.

6. Any bets made in accordance with the pledges must be upheld, but the challenger can go against this pledge and change bets anytime.

7. Conflicts between groups will be conducted by designated representatives with absolute authority.

8. Being caught cheating during a game is grounds for an instant loss.

9. In the name of the directors or executives, the previous rules may never be changed. Violations in the said pledges will have an equal punishment depending on the severity of the wrongdoings.

10. Let's all have fun and play together!

Don't forget to say "Aschente" before starting a game. It is for the respect for the pledges listed above.

We stared at the set of rules in awe, and the sight of it has made me feel the atmosphere of superiority. These rules are needed to be followed since you're inside the WGC after all.

"I'm glad that people here actually follow all of these pledges," Shindou said.

"Not only that, it feels like you live in a different world when you're here. Just look at these pledges. It seems like... lol, I find it hard to explain. It's just amazing." Kirino mouthed.

Tsurugi is quietly reading the pledges on the side. I moved beside him and talked a bit.

"Uhm, hey." I simply greeted.

"Oh, hey."

"Have you been here once?"

He looked at me, "What makes you think that I've gone here already?"

"Nothing, really. It was just a guess."

"Actually, yes, I've been here when I was young, but I was too young to care what was around me, so I might not remember much."

I chuckled, "Even if you're not too young anymore, you still don't care."

When he looked at me once again, he flashed a smile that you won't see in everyday life. His expression is usually blank or a frown, but seeing him smile isn't very frequent.

"That's not true. I'm fully aware of my surroundings. If I'm not, then I wouldn't be talking to you, right? At least I always know you're here."

Wait, let me just rewind that in my head, what does he mean? I blushed a bit because of his statement.

"W-What?"

He looked away from me, "Say it again? Again I say. But heed can not be gainsay."

Confusion is me.

"Don't make me repeat what I said. It's annoying."

It's amazing to see how he instantly change his mood to a serious one in a small moment but at the same time, it makes me pout.

"It's not my fault that you're deaf and you didn't hear it." He added.

"I did hear it! It's just, I don't quite understand, duh."

"Yes, you understand. You're not a kid. You're just denying it. But, I hope you don't get the wrong idea."

I looked at him, processing what he's saying. "What's the wrong idea?"

Instead of answering me, he looked behind me, where the gamers talk about the pledges.

"(Y/N). Where are they?" He raised his brow.

"Don't give me that look. They're behind me-"

It's quiet. And there are no more people in front of the board. "Uh, guys?"

"Don't tell me those brats left us again." His frown deepened.

"Come on, they must be near. Get your feet going!"

"I could tell you the same thing, you know?"

--

We reached the executives' office and we found it empty, but stylish. The color scheme of the room is vibrant and bright, making the atmosphere less tense. Their bodyguard appeared from the door saying, that we should wait for a minute. We sat down on the seats as we heard 3 people quarreling in the room.

"T-T-They're already here? I thought their appointment is tomorrow! I didn't see!" A trembling, male voice said.

"There's nothing you can do now but to get out and entertain your visitors! Come on, get up and talk to them just this once! You always make me do all of your work, so now its your turn!" An irritated voice replied.

"O-Onii-chan, can't we tell them w-we're busy? W-We haven't finished our current game..." A young girl added.

"Shiro's right! We still have to finish this game or it will ruin our unbeatable winning streak!"

"Then, you'll have to finish in a minute."

"A minute?!"

The door opened, revealing a girl pulling a red head male and a young girl with white hair out of the room while holding their phones, rabidly tapping on the screen.

Looks like they're in a serious fight online, so I'll respect their hard work in-game.

I hear Tenma laugh a little beside me, "They look like us when we're having a heated battle in League Of Legends, although in the computer version."

"Yep. That's what makes it funny." I whispered.

"OH YESS!" The pair raised their phones, pronouncing them as winners.

"Hello and good morning! Sorry for the wait for the WGC's directors. Are you bored? Or do you want anything? It'll be fine if you wish for a coffee or tea." The girl with pink hair greeted us cheerfully.

Tsurugi stood up and kept a formal conversation "No, we're completely fine. We're glad to meet the executives and, by any chance, are you their spokesperson?"

"Yes. I'm Stephanie Dola, and they are the Directors of the WGC." She introduced and looked at the pair who's seating on their swivel chair, avoiding eye contact with us. She patted them to introduce themselves.

"I-I-I'm Sora..." The redhead boy said.

"I-I-I'm S-S-Shiro..." The white-haired girl stuttered.

Tsurugi, as our representative, reluctantly shook hands with the 3 members of WGC's management.

"N-Nii-san, w-who are they?"

"I don't know, Shiro, but I promise to protect you at all costs!"

There, we sit dumbfounded, confused about the situation.

"I'm sorry for their behavior, it's a normal reaction for them since they don't usually come out of their rooms." Stephanie gave an apologetic smile.

"For real?" Kirino said.

"Yeah. They spent the rest of their lives in their room playing a lot of games, topping every ranking in each scoreboard."

"Steph, can you continue doing your job? We're going bac-"

"Nope, you'll stay here and do your actual job."

They sighed, Sora cleared his voice and Shiro sat on his lap properly, looking down, because of the evident sleepiness in her face.

"I'm sorry for our childishness earlier. To formally introduce myself, I'm Sora, 18 years old, and here's my younger sister, also my co-directress Shiro, 11 years old. If you want to know more about us, watch No Game No Life. S-So, what did come here for?"

"Hm, I'll definitely watch it," Tenma muttered.

"W-Wait, you're 18? And she's 11?" Aoi asked.

The siblings nodded.

"What?! It can't be possible that you're even younger than us!" Kariya is shocked.

"Why not? It's just a business,"

"It's not only business, but it's also a large gambling business, where a lot of rich and famous people participates! To be honest, I'm 23 already, and I still watch anime and play games and I can't even run a whole thing like this!" Shindou explained

"And is it even legal for an underage to run WGC?" Added Kirino.

"It is possible unless you don't have a certified business license, and as long as you can manage your company, nothing's wrong. Besides, they can't stop us if we really want to establish this thing." Sora answered.

Fei shrugged, "He has a point through."

Sora rotated his swivel chair, making Shiro who is sitting in his lap get dizzy.

"Onii-san, stop it..." She said in a sleepy manner.

"Anyway," He stopped it from turning, "What's your reason for going here?"

Tenma gave Tsurugi a piece of paper, whereas the contract from the Minecraft Company is written. Sora read it, while Shiro started to sleep.

"Oh, I heard about the mass Minecraft hacking thing. In my opinion, it was the company's fault for this, their firewall was too weak to fight off a giant virus, and not only that. I heard that there was data leakage before this happened." Sora said.

"Data leakage? The admins never told us about that." Said Tsurugi.

"Maybe because it just lasted for a day that all of the users weren't aware. That's where the hacker took his/her chance to gather data from the game."

All of us exchanged glances.

"And, what has our company do with this problem in their game?"

"The Minecraft company is requesting WGC to help in further solving the said dispute in their game. Even though they established connections with the Everwing Corporation, everything doesn't seem to be enough. The amendments are already written in the will." I spoke up.

Sora continued to look at the paper while listening to us. Shiro is quietly snoring at his lap and chest, but he doesn't look bothered or whatever. Wait, is this incest?

The red head male put down the will and finally spoke.

"Well, what if we refuse to back the MC up in their own game?"

I could feel some of them gulped, but the older ones maintained their calm demeanor. Even though, I managed to reply.

"We won't let you refuse at our request. The Company is almost desperate in fighting the virus off the app, so we're respectfully asking you to cooperate with us."

Silence filled the air for a while until the director talked, "Who are all of you?"

"Huh?"

"Now that I noticed it, I haven't known your names."

"Oh. I'm Kirino, then there's Tsurugi, Shindou, Tenma, Aoi, (L/N), Kariya, and Fei."

We bowed, "We apologize for not introducing ourselves earlier."

"No big deal. Does this mean that none of you are the actual members of the admins?"

Fei stammered, "Y-Yeah but, we're here to represent MC as its players."

"You know, that still doesn't convince me to join you in your fight. I thought you were the admins of the game, but you're just mere gamers. It's unprofessional to order your game users for your own good. Steph, Shiro, let's go."

Sora, while carrying the sleeping Shiro, and Steph are about to leave the scene, but Tenma stood up to stop them.

"Wait, we're not done talking yet. Yes, you have actually nothing to do with Minecraft and we're just gamers, but we're doing our best to take back the game we're playing! So please, we're swallowing our pride to make you sign that contract. We need your help."

Sora looked at us and chuckled, "I see, you're the persistent one. If you're not going to let me get away with my signature in that contract, then fine."

He flashed a sly smirk in his face, "Let's play."

He added, "Let's arrange three games to finish this argument. If you win at least one or two of those games, then I'll help the Minecraft company. But if you lose, you won't expect anything from the WGC. Deal?"

Tsurugi stepped forward and hit the table with his fist, "If this is what you wish, then deal."
