Prologue
Deep in the Indian Jungle, a high ranked monkey guard was about to learn what opening his mouth meant. He had been trying to free himself for the past hour after he had awoken in a small cabin. His hands and feet were bound and a gag was placed in his mouth. The only thing he could do was wiggle and bang on the walls while praying for an opening that wasn't there. While he was trying to recall what happened to him, he could hear voices over the sound of the pouring. Before he could clearly hear what they were saying the sound of footsteps approached the door; it opened and all he could see was a large silhouette figure come closer to him. Panicked, he tried to wiggle his way to freedom; with one hand the figure picked him up and tossed him into the main room, which was lit with a single candle light. He then felt the gag being removed, followed up by a whisper, "If you tell us what we want to know, this might not be the worst night of your life."
The voice sounded menacing, but also as if he was joking. The monkey guard looked around the room to see if he could see the faces of his captures. All he could see was the bulky silhouette of the one creature that had tossed him into the room.
"Release me this instant!" shouted the monkey guard, "Don't you know who I am?! Who I work for?!"
"Course we do," said the figure with a slight chuckle, "Do you honestly think we'd go out of our way to kidnap a nobody?"
"Rajan will find me and kill you!" screeched the monkey, "He doesn't take kindly to your kind!"
"Ouch, that stings a bit," said the figure, "You know you and I aren't as different as you might think. Oh, and about your boss, I wouldn't hold my breath. Where we're camped you'll be lucky just to find any sighting of civilization."
"What do you want from me?" the monkey asked.
"Like I said before, dummy," scolded the figure, "You have some information and we'd like it or you'll be finding a new job in hell." As the figure finished, he stepped into the candle light. The figure was a buff alligator with short, spiky black hair, with orange streaks in the front. His outfit consisted of an orange breast plate, with silver shoulder plates and gray jeans. He also had an orange band, with black spikes, around his arms, and he wore fingerless orange gloves. As the gator snarled his teeth at the monkey, he noticed a scar across his right eye, "We want to know anything you know about your boss's partner, Arpeggio."
Startled by the Gator's appearance, the monkey stuttered, "W-what makes you t-think I-I know anything about that?"
"Come on, you've been chatting up for days now on how your one of Rajan's most dependable allies, and how he tells you everything about his secret partners. Unless you're just talk," snarled the Gator as he came closer.
"No I really am!" cried out the monkey, "I swear!"
"The only one we're interested in is Arpeggio, you can scrap the rest," continued the Gator, "And no funny business either, I promise you we'll know if your lying."
The monkey gulped, "I don't know much, I only know the names of those he works with, Rajan was careful not to let too much slip. I happen to know where each member is located, however I don't know where Arpeggio is."
"So in other words you have nothing," growled the Gator reaching for something behind his belt.
"Wait, wait!" screeched the monkey, "I might not know where he is now, but I do know where he will be."
"Go on," growled the Gator bringing his claw back into view.
"Rajan is holding a party at his palace to display some metal wings he got from the Klaw Gang," continued the monkey, "He's inviting everyone from the Klaw Gang to join him, including Arpeggio."
"I assume then that there is a specific guest list?" asked the Gator.
"There is, but Rajan is allowing anyone who dresses up to attend," answered the monkey.
"Thank you I think that's all we needed to know," smiled the Gator.
"You keep saying 'we', but you're the only one here," questioned the monkey, then he looked closer at the Gator, "Wait a second, I know you! You're Rap~"
Before he could finish something swooped behind him and stabbed him in the neck, "Sorry, but there is no way you're leaving here alive."
"Your timing is always awesome and scary at the same time, Jinx," smiled the Gator.
"While you on the other hand shouldn't be so eager to show your face," sighed Jinx coming into the light. Jinx was a purple bat, that had short spiky black hair and ocean blue eyes, with a red ninja mask. Her outfit consisted of a long sleeved black shirt, with the collar line colored red. She also wore a short ninja shirt lined with red and wore fishnet leggings with black ninja shoes. Finally there was her wings, lined red and silver underneath, she retracted them so it looked like two long red lines.
"Oh come on Jinx we got the info didn't we?" pouted the Gator.
Jinx sighed then lightly punched him in the arm, "Yeah, you did good Rapter let's go. We have a party to crash."
