Family quarrel
The sound of humming and a shower running filled the spacious bathroom. The air was coated with a sweet smell of vanilla milk and papaya as steam rose from the shower, fogging up the mirrors and the glass door of the shower.
The door to the bathroom creaked open and a body slipped in, shutting the door behind. The person listened to the breathy voice singing a random tune and inhaled the scent of the shampoo, smiling faintly at it.
The person walked through the bathroom before sitting down on the toilet.
"TaeTae?"
The glass door of the shower was pulled open and a blond head popped through. Jimin smiled when he saw his best friend and soulmate sitting on the toilet, patiently waiting for him.
The Male was taller than jimin, his face manly and symmetrical, yet void of emotion. His eyes were slightly puffy and his cheeks were a bit red. The male's lean body was covered in silky white pyjamas and his blond hair was sticking up in all directions, indicating that he just woke up.
"I'll be out in a second, okay?" Jimin asked softly, taking in his best friends appearance with a smile.
The taller boy nodded wordlessly, playing with his fingers as Jimin shut the door and continued to shower.
Kim Taehyung has been a friend of Jimin since they were little- the two growing up in poor families until they were taken in by the kitty gang. Taehyung used to be a bubbly, outgoing boy, always the life of the party or the most charismatic person in the room. That is, until he was captured by a rival gang and was held captive for 6 months.
Taehyung never told anyone what happened in those six months, but considering how much Taehyung changed after that, Jimin knew it was horrible and traumatic. He stopped talking and smiling in general- his face always remaining stoic and cold. He stopped going on missions since he used to have horrible panic attacks whenever he was sent on one. That was when Taehyung was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and selective mutism.
Jimin tried to help Taehyung with his panic attacks, and after a year and a half, Taehyung is finally getting better. His panic attacks aren't as frequent and he has been smiling, and sometimes even laughing under his breath. Jimin is happy to see his friend healing, even if it's a slow process, he's happy that Taehyung's still trying to become better.
The shower turned off before the door slid open and Jimin shamelessly sauntered outside. His naked body dripped with water as he approached Taehyung, taking the towel handed to him.
Jimin slid the white towel over his thick, muscular thighs and bubble butt, collecting the water droplets and leaving his skin dry. He slid the towel over his muscular chest and the few tattoos sprinkled across his body, making sure the he was dry before grabbing his clothes and sliding them on.
After jimin was done, he glanced back at Taehyung and gestured for the boy to follow him. Tae and Jimin left the bathroom, entering Jimin's room.
The room was spacious and luxurious- the walls were a light cream colour and the floor was dark wood tiles. In the middle of the room was a large double bed- the sheets pure white, matching with the pillows and the duvet. There was a desk and a dresser pushed against the walls next to the bed, with vases and pictured resting on top.
Jimin jumped on top of the bed, releasing a deep sigh as his muscles relaxed and he sunk into the fluffy duvet. His eyes slowly closed and he was about to fall asleep, that is until he felt someone grab a hold of his shorts and pull at them,
"Chim."
The said boy opened one of his eyes and stared up at Taehyung with a droopy smile,"What is it, pup?"
Taehyung bit his lip and tugged on his shorts again. Jimin watched as Taehyung pointed towards the door, his hand continuing to tug at his silky shorts.
"She wants to talk about the mission?" Jimin guessed, a tired sigh leaving his lips as his head fell back and he shut his eyes.
Taehyung nodded silently but the realised that Jimin couldn't see him. He bit his lip before whispering a timid,"Y...yes."
Jimin nodded, his eyes still shut,"Mmhmm, in a minute." He turned around and snuggled into his bed, ready to fall asleep.
Taehyung huffed and grabbed Jimin by his leg, pulling him out of the bed and allowing him to fall to the ground with a thud. A yelp and a loud whine followed right after before Jimin slowly sat up, looking up at Taehyung with a scowl.
"Mean." Jimin murmured, pushing off of the ground to stand up. Jimin patted Taehyung's messy curls as he walked past him to leave the room.
The kitty gang consisted of well trained assassins and Jimin happens to be the best one. Kitty gang wasn't the most dangerous, nor the biggest gang in Korea, but it was the most popular one. Everyone wanted to get a hold of a professional assassin and have them do whatever they wanted. That's why the identities of the kittens were kept hidden as best as they could.
Kitty gang didn't have many members- around 20 at most, yet those 20 assassins could take out an entire gang effortlessly. That's what made them dangerous, yet vulnerable to other gangs, since everyone either wanted to destroy them or take over.
The kittens lived in a large mansion outside the city of Busan, all of them had rooms and bathrooms of their own. Under the mansion, there were multiple training rooms, varying from shooting ranges to science labs, where you had to learn how to concoct a bomb in less than 3 minutes, and even to rooms where you were recreating a kidnapping and had to get out.
The leader of the kitty gang was a woman named Jessi, she used to be an assassin until she was critically injured on a mission and was left behind by her gang. They believed she was dead as Jessi began to build a gang of her own, yet this one would be loyal and wouldn't leave members behind.
And Jimin was one of those carefully picked people, that Jessi invited to join.
Jimin sauntered through the halls of the mansion, tiredly rubbing his puffy eyes. He didn't see any of the other members, knowing full well that they were either sleeping, going on missions or probably watching a movie in the theatre room.
Jimin stopped in front of Jessi's office before knocking and entering, not even waiting for a reply. Jimin grinned lazily as his eyes fell on the scowling woman sitting at a desk.
Her office was dark- the walls a chocolate brown colour, matching the dark wooden tiles and the equally dark ceiling. Her desk was on the opposite side of the door, making it the first thing you see when you walk in. It was round and quite large, made for being able to fit a computer, stacks and stacks of papers, and other useless stuff that Jessi considered useful.
On either side of the desk, the walls were practically hidden behind two large bookshelves, that consisted of books and documents alike. The walls were covered with expensive paintings, 'collected' from rich assassinated people. And behind the desk, you could see a large window that displayed the view of the front door.
"Jimin." Jessi greeted in a cold, raspy voice. She folded her arms on top of the desk as Jimin walked inside and plopped down on the seat.
"Jessi." Jimin mocked in return, reaching out and grabbing a lemon candy from the bowl on her desk.
Jessi rolled her eyes and leaned back in her chair, watching Jimin carefully,"How'd the mission go?"
Jimin shrugged,"Okay." his face scrunching up at the sour taste on his tongue, but he loved when sweets had a hint of sourness to them.
"That's interesting." Jessi hummed and turned to her computer, she began to type something on it, her expression turning more and more serious by each second,"Considering this." Jessi turned her computer around so that Jimin could see the screen.
Jimin watched as a Male appeared on the screen, a microphone in hand and an earpiece in one ear. Behind the Male, Jimin could see Park Jaebeom's mansion, the same house Jimin was in earlier that night.
Jimin swallowed down his sweet saliva, quickly glancing at Jessi's void face before reading the caption under the screen.
'CEO of Park industries, Park Jae-beom, murdered in his own house.'
"Oh my, who could've done it?!" Jimin fake gasped, his small hands flying up to slap against his chubby cheeks, trying to make himself appear cuter and more innocent.
Jessi's face hardened as she exhaled deeply, leaning back in her seat,"You weren't supposed to kill him, Jimin. You were supposed to get the drive and take it back to me," Jessi spoke through gritted teeth, Jimin wincing at the sound of her teeth scraping against each other.
"I can expl-"
"I don't need an explanation!" Jessi finally snapped, shooting up from her seat and out of anger, she slid her hand across her desk, pushing everything off.
Jimin's eyes widened and he winced at the sound of items falling and breaking,"Thats a bit dramatic." He murmured under his breath, the comment thankfully going unnoticed.
"You were supposed to follow your instructions. The instructions that our client sent us." Jessi calmed down, inhaling and exhaling to calm herself. He grabbed her chair and sat down again, elegantly folding one leg over the other,"And instead of getting the flash drive, he paid us to get, you kill him."
Jimin scowled, crossing his arms over his chest,"If you want me to feel bad, you're wasting your time. Park Jaebeom was a scum, who drugged and raped whoever he wanted. Thanks to me, he won't do it again."
The emotion on Jessi's face washed away and what was left behind was a void. She watched Jimin in silence, analysing his unbothered expression and his relaxed posture,"I know you got the flash drive a week ago. Hand it over."
Jimin looked towards her immediately, a small smirk appearing on his face,"If you knew I had it, why not stop me?"
Jessi didn't say anything in return, waiting for Jimin to cooperate and hand over the flash drive. Jimin scoffed at her silence and slouched against the seat, folding his arms across his chest stubbornly.
"I don't have it on me," Jimin stated with ease, a taunting smile lit up his face as he sucked on the candy in his mouth,"I hid it."
Jessi raised an eyebrow,"Well un-hide it and hand it over." She ordered calmly, her long nails tapping against the desk.
Jimin rolled his eyes and shifted in the plush seat, trying to get more comfortable,"It's not that easy."
"You're gonna make it easy or you know what I do to those who are an inconvenience to me." Jessi calmly stated, watching in satisfaction as Jimin snapped his head towards her and looked at her with a look of betrayal.
"You're threatening me? Me? Woah" Jimin scoffed, a bitter smile tainting his plump lips. He chuckled under his breath and ran a hand through his blond locks,"I never expected my own family to threaten me. And for what?" Jimin scoffed, abruptly standing up from the seat, nearly pushing it over,"For a little flash drive?"
Jessi rolled her eyes,"Don't be dramatic, just hand it over and go back to killing whoever you want." She stared up at Jimin with no emotion, while the latter turned more angry by the passing second.
Jimin snarled, his hands slamming down on her desk, the cup of coffee on Jessi's desk fell over, spilling the contents and causing it to soak into a few documents. But neither of them paid attention to it, too busy threatening each other with their eyes.
"You're not getting the flash drive,"Jimin whispered huskily, his honeycomb eyes glaring into Jessi's whiskey ones. He leaned closer to her, his muscular arms keeping him up. Jessi watched him with a raised eyebrow, causing Jimin to smirk tauntingly,"Not until I find out why you want it so badly."
And with that, Jimin pushed off of the desk and marched out of Jessi's office, slamming the door shut behind him. Jimin walked back to his room, unaware of what he got himself into.
