----- Xiaolin Temple the next day-----

It was another Wu-less day today. The xiaolin warriors woke up, went to eat then train and then it was finally free time! Raimundo lost a bet so he was stuck with all of the chores. Kari took this perfect moment and ran with it.

“Hey, guys!” She typed in the PDA, her voice still healing. “I wanna practice my guitar skills, you wanna listen?” Kari made it so Raimundo was able to listen. Kimiko nodded.

“I’d love to Kari!” She squealed. Omi nodded.

“But of course. I am most interested in your talents, Kari.” Omi gave a big smile.

“Yeah I’d like to see how good you play.” Clay said, interested like the rest of the group that wasn’t doing chores thanks to Raimundo.

“I’d love to hear you play kiddo!” Dojo said excited to hear Kari play. Raimundo listened to them talk about Kari playing the guitar while he washed the dishes. Kari looked over her shoulder and decided to show mercy. So she set up where he was able to hear her play, she made it so he would see her face from the side. Kari then took in a big breath and began to strum the chords to the song “Never back down” by “Nine Lashes” as best as she could. She seemed to be having little fun but she was not going all out. She smiled and tapped feet along with the song while everyone else danced. Clay was dancing around with the others smiling, Kimiko was dancing around as well and Omi just listened as Dojo was wiggling dancing in a way as well having fun. Raimundo’s eyes widened as he knew from the start of when Kari played of her guitar that is was Nine Lashes song Never back down which was one of his personal favorites.

He smiled as he dried his hands from finishing the dishes moving to the next chore, maybe doing chores will be more doable since he gets to listen to Kari play even though he wasn’t with them laughing and dancing.

Once Kari was finished she pushed her bangs out of her eyes and smiled cutely,making sure to stand to the side so Raimundo could see part of her face. “I would have sung along,” Kari typed, making sure Raimundo was within ear shot. “But I can’t until I can speak again.” Kari smiled and shrugged her shoulders as if giggling. This made her look cuter than usual, which made everyone blush. Omi and Dojo included. Clay and Dojo clapped after she finished and a light blush across their face. Raimundo caught a small glimpse of Kari’s smile as he blushed and rushed back to the last chore he had to do which was dust around a bit and then he’d finally be finished. While dusting Raimundo hummed the lyrics to the song Kari played just a while ago. Kari heard him humming and narrowed her eyes softly as a small smile appeared on her face. She had only been here a few days but it was starting to feel like home.

Kari walked in silently, like her ninja heritage through her father, and grabbed a duster. She then began playing the song Raimundo was humming to on the PDA so they could listen and then put it in the middle of the room. Raimundo was caught up in his humming and dusting until he heard the song playing from somewhere. He stopped for a moment to look around for the source of the music. Raimundo then saw the PDA on the ground then saw Kari dusting around as well.

“K-kari?! What are you doing, I’m the one who should be doing chores, you should go hang out with the others, it shouldn’t t-take me long to f-finish.” What the hell had gotten into him, Raimundo found himself slightly stumbling over his own words. Kari looked at him cutely then smiled. She then began to play charades, since she did not want to stop the music.

She pointed to herself. “I” she put her hand out, bringing her fingers inward towards her palm. “want” she but up the number two with an adorable smile. “to!” Kari then tried to reach some place that was just BARELY out of reach, causing her to get a little frustrated as she puffed her cheeks out as she began to go on her tiptoes, still not tall enough.

Raimundo chuckled lightly as he knew she wasn’t going to stop. So he placed his duster down for a second, walked over behind Kari to give her an extra hand with the higher places so he placed his hands on her waist picking her up and then put her on his shoulders so she could dust those shelves. Clay, and Dojo stuck their heads into the doorway then Omi and Kimiko joining them as they spied on what was going on between Kari and Raimundo. Omi opened his mouth to speak but Kimiko covered his mouth and stopped him and everyone shook their heads in unison, silently saying "no".

Kari’s body froze in shock and she looked to see a smirking Raimundo holding her. Kari narrowed her eyes then huffed, putting her right hand on his head and leaning in slightly so she could keep dusting. They were soon done and Kari wanted to thank him for the help with her height, since it always bugs her. So, she did something she did to Clay. She gave him a hug with a wide smile, hoping he understood it was only a thanks. Kimiko held Omi back as he flailed around. Kimiko smiled sweetly at the scene, but felt a slight pain in her heart as well.

Raimundo smiled lightly that he got to hang out with Kari even though it was cleaning, but good thing is now he’s finished with all the chores. His face became dusted with a light pink as he hugged Kari back as a thank you for helping him out. Clay smiled at the scene before him, Kari and Raimundo were on good terms from the looks of it. Dojo smiled at the two as he chuckled every so lightly, sniffling a little, how easy it would be to tease them about “going out” with one another even though they’re actually not together. Kari backed away and smiled then grabbed the PDA and then flicked his arm a little hard but it barely hurt.

“Not gonna be easy on you, ya know. Just cuz we hugged it was just a thank you.” Kari typed in the PDA, with a smirk. Raimundo let out a small uneasy laugh rubbing the back of his neck a bit.

“Y-yeah I know, but we can be friends still r-right Kari?” Raimundo held his hand out to her for her to shake as he slightly smiled. Kari looked at his hand and shrugged.

“Eh, why not? You're fun to mess with!” Kari typed with a smirk and shook his hand. “But you piss me off and I’ll send you to pluto in a single kick.” Kari then waved to him with the back of her hand as she walked away, seeing everyone out of the corner of her eye but leaving them be, she was in too good of a mood to mess with them. Raimundo stood there as he watched Kari leave him alone in the room, he was going to make sure to not mess up his chances of being her friend. Raimundo smiled happily as the angry bubbling feeling on the inside disappeared being replaced with glee? Then he turned to see his friends and Dojo at the doorway and his eyes widened.

“How long have you all been standing there for?!” Raimundo shouted at them rolling up his sleeves in anger, not appreciating being spied on by them. Clay took his hat off his hat smiled as if nothing wrong.

“We were just passing by like a group of cattle partner.” Clay said using another one of his metaphors.

“Yeah, what Clay just said!” Kimiko smiled cutely, still holding Omi. The small monk bit Kimiko and she let him go.

“They lie!” He called, not scared of the consequences. “We saw the WHOLE thing, starting when Kari came in as silent as a ninja!” Omi smiled, making everyone groan. Raimundo gritted his teeth heading towards the group as a flame could be seen in his eyes. Once Dojo saw the look in Raimundo’s eyes he made like a banana and split as fast as he could away from there. Clay started to back up from the doorway as his best friend came their way. Omi followed Dojo’s lead, knowing all too well how hard he could hit. Kimiko was frozen in fear and just stood there. Clay picked up Kimiko as he ran away from Raimundo not wanting to face his friend’s wrath today keeping Kimiko and himself safe. Raimundo watched as they all ran, maybe now they’ll know better not to do it again or he’ll blow them all away. Dojo poked his head up as there was a plant on his head and dirt in the pot he hid in not wanting Raimundo to find him. Raimundo was really mad, so he chased after them.

Kari saw Kimiko, Omi and Clay running down the hall with Raimundo close behind. She knew why so she tripped Omi, causing Clay to skid and fell near Omi. Kari then acted like nothing happened and walked away, with her hands behind her head and leaning back slightly.

“This is most troublesome…” Omi gulped as he saw Raimundo rushing towards them, only to him Raimundo was upside down because Omi was on his head. Clay saw Raimundo coming as he scrambled to get up and grab Kimiko and Omi running away from facing Raimundo’s anger, they would like to live to see the light of tomorrow than face Raimundo’s scary wrath. Kari smiled lightly at their efforts but held them back by pretending to carry something that was to heavy and walking in front of them. She knew that they Clay didn’t have the heart to run through her, and what she was carrying was too wide for him to go around. Clay looked at Kari and then placed Kimiko and Omi down as he walked over to Kari to help her carry the stuff.

“You need help with those Kari?” Clay asked looking down to her. Kari gave a sweet smile and nodded. Soon hearing Raimundo close enough that he would catch the three. She then took two steps back, watching Kimiko and Omi get caught, now all that was left was Clay, who was occupied at the moment. Raimundo looked to Omi with a sly grin on his face as he picked up his leg slowly.

“I do not the look you are giving me, Raimundo…” Omi gulped, feeling he was about to be kicked again. Raimundo then aimed in the direction of Clay, oh he’d be able to do a double whammy since he’s been wanting to get Clay back for a lot of things. Then in one quick motion Raimundo kicked Omi in the head like a soccer ball sending him flying to Clay’s direction. Dojo popped out of the pot with the plant on his head again watching as a yellow blur was heading to Clays direction. Clay being too busy to notice the yellow blur of his friend Omi coming at him since he dropped what he was carrying stuff for Kari. Kari gulped and made sure she was a safe distance away when Clay got hit. She winced and took out come confetti and threw it on the two who were now on the ground. Kari then took out two small flags that had “GOAL” written on them and waved them with a childish smile.

“Ow… That was a most impressive kick Raimundo… But next time please… DON’T USE MY HEAD!!!” Omi grumbled and crossed his arms. Raimundo laughed as he held his stomach, he felt much better after doing that, he then gave a smile and two thumbs up to Kari.

“Don’t push it. I was a little ticked off at them too.” Kari typed then smirked at Raimundo. “I said it wasn’t going to be easy.”

“She does have a point.” Kimiko stated, Raimundo holding her under his arm. “Wait, you saw us?!”

“When I left the room. I was in too good of a mood to attack.” Kari shrugged and helped Omi and Clay up. Clay had little stars floating around his head from getting hit with an Omi ball as he felt a little dizzy as he was getting up, but still tipped his hat up to Kari as a thanks. Raimundo looked down to Kimiko since she was second to last person to get revenge for earlier. Dojo scurried out of the flower pot scrabbling for his room, the safe zone where no one could hurt him. Kari then decided to go to her room and nap, she was worn out from recent events, but she was happy. Kimiko gave a smile up to Raimundo.

“You wouldn’t hurt me, would you?” She asked sweetly, almost like Kari would. Raimundo looked at her and raised an eyebrow to Kimiko, Kari’s smile was a lot more cuter. He then shook his head like “Why did I just think that?” But then Raimundo shook it off for the time being.

“I’ll find something for payback, besides I’m kinda worn out from kicking Omi in the head.” Raimundo said venturing to his room to chill since it looked like no one else was gonna do anything. Clay finally feeling better then set off to go take a nap under a tree. Omi decided to join Clay with a smile.

----- Chase’s palace a few weeks later -----

It was almost noon as nothing was going on around Chase’s palace. Wuya was by the water dipping her feet in as usual. Chase was meditating floating above his throne chair doing his normal routine like every other day while Kaiser was being surrounded by a small group of Chase’s jungle cats and Snowflake as they laid or sat close by wanting attention. Jack was doing his chores while humming a tune.

“The next wu will be ours for sure, we’ll make sure to wipe the floor with those wretched monks.” Wuya said as she swatted at the surface of the water making it ripple. Chase paid no mind to Wuya’s statement, but she was right about the next wu being theirs. Kaiser didn’t pay any thoughts to Wuya’s words either as she petted a few of the cat’s heads with a blank face, but on the inside she was enjoying the animal's company.

Then a black, gray and red bird came flying in as a small bean jumped off and grew large as it landed on the ground. Wuya looked as she was shocked.

"So Chase Young I hear you're in possession of the Mercilus dragon of illusions and the xiaolin monks have the Copying dragon of the moon." The bean said as Kaiser looked at the bean surprised as the cats stood in front of Kaiser. Chase was now standing in front of his chair giving the bean a death glare.

"So what of it Hannibal Bean, she is staying here." Chase said letting out a low growl.

"She?" Hannibal said as he looked around to see Kaiser and smirked. "Oh look what we have here, you must be the lovely Mercilus dragon." Hannibal said giving a slight bow. Jack heard Hannibal and began to listen closely, making sure that he was not attracting attention to himself. Kaiser started to get up from where she was sitting walking past the cats looking at the overgrown, talking bean.

"Don't talk about me like I'm some possession because no one owns me, I'm here because I chose to stay here." Kaiser said glaring.

"Where are my manners, my apologies. My name is Hannibal Bean, strongest one on the Heylin side." Bean hopped over to Kaiser before talking again. "Chase was kind enough to find and hold onto you until I showed up." Bean wrapped a root like arm around her upper arm.

"Hey let go!" Kaiser shouted till Chase appeared there in a flash trying to kick bean, however Hannibal was faster and knocked chase back. Jack pressed some buttons on his watch and some of his improved Jack bots appeared, enhanced strength, speed, durability, the works. He then gestured to Hannibal Bean so they could attack. Kaiser looked at Jack then cracked her knuckles heading to Hannibal. Wuya watched from where she was sitting, she figured she’d stay out of this one.

As Kaiser got closer her eyes started to thin out as her symbol glowed. She ended up rushing at him throwing punches and kicks at the bean. After piercing all the robots with his roots, Hannibal caught sight of the Mercilus dragon as he was able to dodge and block a lot of the punches and kicks she was throwing. Kaiser skidded back a bit from Hannibal pushing her back as her eyes glowed black ominous mist.

“I’ll make this quick and painless for you.” She said, setting up an illusion for him until his mouth curled into a GIANT evil smirk.

“I was hoping you’d do that,” Hannibal said as he took out a mirror while Wuya and Chase were confused, that wouldn’t be able to do anything would it?  So right as everything around Bean was changing he shouted. “Reverse Mirror!” Kaiser gave a “What the fuck” look at him as instead of everything around the bean changing, everything around herself was as her eyes widened. Chase was wondering what was going on. Kaiser looked around she was in a car as a truck was heading right to them in the front. Kaiser was frantically trying to get loose from the car, but couldn’t as the truck hit them, glass shattering everywhere and air bags gone off and blood everywhere. Kaiser looked to her father who was driving had been impaled with a pipe that came off the truck and through the windshield and then looked to her mother who had glass stabbing her. Kaiser started to scream as she had a few cuts herself from the glass.

In reality Hannibal watched as the girl was struggling and screaming. Part one of his plan was a success, now for phase two as he put the mirror away and took out the Shadow of Fear.

“What the hell are you doing?!” Chase growled once again attacking the bean, but getting tossed into a pillar.

“You just wait and see, by the end of this I’ll be leaving with her and all I’ll need is the Copying dragon...Shadow of Fear!”  Hannibal disappeared into Kaiser’s mind searching for her biggest fear. When Kaiser thought it was over everything around her changed and now she was in the corner of a class room with a bunch of students she used to go to school with as they all had some sort of handheld weapon. Kaiser was started to shiver and pushed them away but didn’t work.

“Go away!” She shouted as they started hitting her and saying mean things only she could hear. She soon fell to her knees as bruises, and cut marks started to show up on her in reality as the torture went on in her illusion.

“Hannibal Bean I demand you to stop this before you kill her, than there will be no more of the Mercilus dragon bloodline!” Chase said grabbing him when he reappeared. “To be honest I don’t have a way to stop it once it begins, only she can stop the illusion.” He said as Chase punched him landing Hannibal into a wall. Looking back Kaiser was curled up screaming bloody murder and as Chase looked closer Kaiser was...Crying. Chase wasn’t going to have this, Hannibal was trying to break her for whatever sinister plan that stupid bean was planning. So Chase and Hannibal once again were fighting, because Chase wasn’t losing the Dragon of illusions over his dead body. Jack then saw Kaiser crying and went to her side.

“Kaiser, come on. You can stop this. Just calm down.” He said, trying to comfort her, rubbing her back. He was unsure if he was heard by her but he still talked in a low tone anyway, so only he and Kaiser could hear. “I over heard something Bean said about this. He used a shen gong wu to manipulate your illusions after turning them against you. So it’s just like a bad dream, except they are mixed with your illusions I’m guessing. Which means you’re in control. YOU can stop this from happening.” Jack smiled, even though Kaiser probably could not see him. Kaiser was covering her ears trying not to listen to the kids beating her up and kicking her around. She hated it when she was bullied, she always feared that everywhere she went people were going to bully her and hurt her like when she was younger. Kaiser heard a very light voice talking, w-was someone talking to her?

“G-go away,” Kaiser started to speak still trembling “LEAVE ME ALONE!!” Kaiser’s eyes snapped open as her eyes as like that day fighting Raimundo and Kari one eye was black and the other being blood red and everything around and the people turned to black mist and disappeared. Wuya watched Jack, keeping an eye on him as Chase and Hannibal fought things out. Kaiser felt drained and shaky from what just happened as the tears kept streaming down her face, it was finally over as she was curled up on the floor. Jack frowned for a moment then gave a sigh and went to pick her up.

“I got ya. It’s gonna be ok.” He reassured with a small, comforting smile. “It’s all over now. They aren’t gonna get you, ok.” Kaiser felt herself being picked up and automatically noticed it was Jack who was talking to her, slowly the tears stopped and stained her face and her eye color went back to normal.

Hannibal bean growled as he got up from being knocked down by Chase and saw that the pathetic boy Jack Spice was holding the girl who he now knew was Kaiser.

“Get out and never return Hannibal Bean.” Chase said in a dangerously low tone glaring at him. Bean started to shrink himself as his bird came and picked him up.

“I will be back for her! And not even you can stop me Chase!” Hannibal Bean shouted as he and his bird were no longer seen in the sky. Chase turned and walked over to Jack who was holding Kaiser who had bruises and cuts on her arms, her face, and legs. Exactly what was this poor girl’s fear anyway? Chase looked to Jack, once again he’s done something good.

“How is she?” Chase asked Jack as Wuya started to head down to them.

“She’s calmer than before. At least she’s out of her nightmare illusion now.” Jack smiled, knowing he did well. “I think I’ll go put her in bed, she looks tired.” He then carried Kaiser to her room and laid her on her bed then left quietly, letting Snowflake in since she wanted to see her owner. Kaiser picked up her head up a bit.

“Jack.” She called out weakly, but hopefully she didn’t miss him like the other two times. Snowflake jumped onto the bed as she curled up next to Kaiser letting out a purring noise to comfort her owner. Wuya decided she should go check on the damage Kaiser was in.

“Hmm? Yes Kaiser?” Jack asked, walking back to her bedside, yet keeping a small distance. Kaiser looked at him slightly embarrassed and once again he had seen her weak side, letting him save her a second time.

“Jack, I just wanted to tell y-you...Th-that umm..” Kaiser struggled to get the words out since she’s never had to say them before. Jack probably thought she looked like an idiot laying in bed injured trying to tell him something. Jack blinked and smiled.

“Hey, it’s all good.” Jack replied, understanding what she was going with this. “We’re friends now so don’t worry about it.” Jack then turned to leave once again. Kaiser’s eyes widened for a second as she heard him say it was no big deal, this slightly bubbly feeling inside, was this happy? As she watched him walk away she said.

“Thank you Jack, for everything you’ve done for me so far.” Sounding sweet and innocent giving a mix between a smirk and a smile to his back.

----- Xiaolin temple evening -----

The five xiaolin monks had just finished dinner and were now off to have a little bit of fun before it was time to get ready for bed. Omi was trying to beat level one of Kimiko’s gamepal while Kimiko watched. Kari was with them, hanging upside down from a tree branch, giggling every now and again now since her voice was healed. Clay was sitting carving something out of wood and Raimundo doing tricks while kicking his soccer ball around.

“No, Omi you JUMP there not DUCK.” Kimiko giggled as Omi lost another game life.

“Kari, will you please show me how to play?” Omi begged and Kari shrugged.

“Sure.” She stated then did a flip out of the tree, Kimiko shocked that Omi didn’t ask her for help. “Ok, so, press this, then a, b, up down--” Kari went silent as she got in the gaming zone. Kimiko and Omi watching in awe.

“Level 1 complete.” The gamepal stated and Omi cheered.

“That was amazing Kari! Oh I am most impressed by your gaming!!” Omi called out and Kari blushed.

“Th-thanks.” Kari replied with an embarrassed smile, followed by a nervous giggle as she rubbed the back of her head. Kimiko then looked at the time.

“Hey Kari, you said you’d help me with something when your voice was better, right.” Kimiko then stood up and grabbed Kari and pulled her away to a quiet spot that was hidden from the others and had a great view of the sunset.

“So, uh… It’s just you and me here right? No one else?” Kari asked as Kimiko took out a video camera. Kimiko nodded happily.

“Yup, just us. Now go on, go on. Play your song. This way you can see just how good you are.”

“But-”

“Come on Kari, it’ll be fine.” Kimiko smiled, forgetting she was recording. Kari sighed in defeat and then took out her guitar, that was strapped onto her back. “Hold on, can't forget the mic!” Kimiko stated then put the camera on its stand and got into view of the camera, setting up a portable microphone. “Testing testing, Ok we’re good.” Kimiko smiled and then got back behind the camera. “And, go!” Kimiko smiled and Kari inhaled then sang out “Still Worth Fighting For” by My Darkest Days and she also played the guitar, the other instruments playing in the background. Raimundo heard music playing and singing that sounded familiar to him as he followed the sound of music to see what it was. He soon came upon Kimimo video recording Kari singing and playing guitar of My Darkest Days song Still Worth Fighting For as he stood hidden listening admiring Kari's voice.

Kari played her heart out as she danced along to the music happily. Kimiko doing the same. They both looked like they were having fun. Raimundo found himself smiling as he watched Kari have so much fun performing, she was really good at it too. Clay finished his wooden carving of a cute cat.

When Kari finished playing she trotted up to Kimiko to see what she looked like while playing. But something made her skid to a stop. She looked over to see Raimundo peeking out from behind a tree, smirking like a dork. Kari got flustered and her whole face got red.

“Kari?” Kimiko asked and looked in the same direction, seeing Raimundo. “RAI!!! GO AWAY!!! KARI SAID SHE ONLY WANTED IT TO BE US HERE SINCE SHE DOESN’T PLAY LIKE THAT INFRONT OF OTHERS OFTEN!!! GO BACK TO PLAYING SOCCER!! OR I’LL BURN YOU!!!” Kari winced at what Kimiko said and hid behind her, apparently she was now back to her timid self since her alternate selves have not activated in a week or so.

Raimundo's eyes got big and then a clouded outline of him was left behind as he ran away not wanting to feel any of the girls' wrath. Raimundo was now somewhere no where near them as he played soccer with himself. Kimiko growled then sighed as Kari blinked and giggled then went to watch the video that Kimiko shot of her. Kari gulped.

"You see? You're amazing! You rocked that song!"

"Like a hurricane?" Kari asked innocently and Kimiko.

"Hell yeah you did!" Kimiko giggled and Kari smiled then began to go back with Kimiko. Kari stopped and looked up and saw a bird circling over head, giving her an uneasy feeling.

"K-Kimiko, w-wait up!" Kari whined, going to Kimiko's side, since she kept walking. Kimiko chuckled and ruffled Kari's hair. Kimiko glared at Raimundo when she saw him and Kari went to play video games with Omi. While Raimundo was doing tricks with the ball and saw Kimiko giving him a dirty look, oh come on he didn’t do anything just now to make her mad. Clay saw Kari and Kimiko walking back as he called out to Kari.

“Hey Kari!”

"Yeh?" Kari asked innocently, looking at Clay from the game she was playing with Omi. She paused it to give Clay her full attention, Omi looked at her with a huff. Clay got up and headed over to her and as he got to Kari’s side he held out the adorable carefully carved wooden cat.

“I thought you’d like this for your room, as a welcome to your new home present from me.” He gave a big jolly smile to Kari in hopes that she would like it. Raimundo watched and the anger came back as he kicked the ball really hard sending it flying to who knows where without fully realizing he actually did that to his poor soccer ball. Kari gasped with wide eyes and immediately took the wooden cat.

"AWW!!! ITS SO CUTE!!! LOOK AT ITS LITTLE EARS!!! ITS TINY PAWS ARE SO CUUUUTE!!!" Kari squeaked in happiness then she tackled him into a hug. "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kari thanked him quickly, no spaces in between each word to allow her to take a breath. Clay lightly blushes as he hugged Kari back letting out a chuckle.

“I’m glad you like it, it was nothing really. Just a small hobby of mine I do when I have the time.” Clay said fiddling with his hat. Raimundo shook his head snapping out of his blind rage as he looked around for his soccer ball. “Where the heck did my soccer ball go?!” Raimundo looked behind a few rocks and under a few of the benches near by, but it wasn’t there. Raimundo didn’t want to watch Kari being all buddy-buddy with his best friend so Raimundo went off in search of his lost soccer ball in hopes he’ll find it soon and have time to cool down.

“What is getting into me lately. Yeah I know I gotta protect Kari and everything, but Clay is no threat so why am I always getting so pissed off when they’re close and other crap. Ugh I’m so confused.” Raimundo said in a low tone as he talked to himself while walking. Kari took the gift she received from Clay to her room and put it on her desk that was by her room window.

Kari then walked out of her room, humming happily to herself. She then went for a walk and saw a white and black checkered ball with the name "Raimundo Pedrosa" on it in blue. Kari smiled and held onto it and went to give it to the dragon of the wind.

"Raimundo?" Kari called out for him as she walked around, the Sinn setting. She frowned and kicked a rock, not seeing him any where. "Rai?" Kari sighed and looked down. Raimundo was walking around STILL searching for his soccer ball. It’s not like he kicked it and the soccer ball is in outer space right.

“Where did my ball go off to? If Omi some how got it and hid it I’m gonna give him a piece of my mind.” Raimundo said grumbling to himself. Kari growled and then took in a big breath.

“RAIMUNDO PEDROSAAAAAAAA!!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!!” Kari screamed at the top of her lungs, hoping Raimundo would hear. Raimundo stopped in his tracks as his shoulders tensed up as he froze knowing is was Kari shouting his name.

“Ah shit is she gonna kick my butt for earlier, I hope it not.” Raimundo said to himself as he carefully went in the direction of Kari’s voice to see if she was alright. Kari hid the ball behind her back so he wouldn’t see it. When he got to where she was she frowned.

“So,” Kari started, a little anger in her eye. “This is gonna be fun!” Kari thought. “Where were you? I’ve called you three times!” She frowned. “Usually I don’t have to scream my lungs out for someone to say “what’s up, you need something?” or just to chat. I can not believe you. Argh!” Kari pretended to be mad and ranted on and on. Raimundo frowned seeing Kari frustrated with him, he didn’t hear her call or anyone call out his name until Kari yelled really loud.

“I-I’m really sorry Kari, I-I didn’t hear you the other two times. If I had heard you call for me I would of gotten to you sooner.” He said frowning a bit more with a sad feeling inside him.

“--And you need to take better care of your things! I found this by that tree over there!” Kari then held out his soccer ball with a big grin, no more anger in her eyes. Raimundo looked at her confused a bit, w-was he just played by Kari just now? He had an aching pain in his chest area when her mood changed that quick.

“Kari, that isn’t funny! For a second I thought you were really mad at me. Also thank you for finding my ball, I couldn’t find it for the longest time.” Raimundo said as he took his soccer ball back with a light smile. Kari’s lips began to twitch until she finally burst  into a laughing fit, falling back first on the ground.

“R-RAI!!! Y-YOUR FACE--PFFT AHAHA!!! YOU LOOKED SO UPSET!!! AW-MAN!! THAT WAS JUST TOO GOOD!!! AHAHA-ahah-ahhhh.” Kari sighed, letting out a small giggle every once and a while.  Raimundo nodded his head letting her laugh and whatnot. “I’m-I’m sorry. I was just having a little harmless fun. Oh, and your ball was over there.” Kari pointed to a big tree near the wall, no where near where he was originally looking. Kari then let out an adorable yawn. “Anyway, I gotta get to bed. I’m tired… Night Rai…” Kari smiled then walked to her room. “Keep track of your things!” Kari called before she was out of sight. Raimundo watched as Kari walked off to her room and once again this unexplainable bubbly giddy feeling came back.

“Goodnight Kari, see you in the morning. Thanks again for finding my ball!” Raimundo called out thanking her once again. When Raimundo couldn’t see Kari anymore he yawned himself as he headed to his room to call it a night wondering what tomorrow what will hold for him and his friends. Kari curled up on her mat moments later, purring happily as she drifted off to sleep, in her black and gold striped pajama tank top and shorts on. Her right arm was still wrapped up but everything else was off and her hair was down, but her hair groups were still in the silver ribbon. She hugged an adorable wolf plush with blue bead eyes, silver fur and a white “X” shape on his forehead. That was Kari’s only plush toy named Kitearo (Kite-are-oh) or Kite for shout.

When everyone was asleep: a black, gray, and red bird was flying in the sky getting closer to Kari’s room. The bird stopped outside the window as a little bean hopped in through the window and then grew a bit bigger as he rubbed his root hands together, this was the Copying dragon of the moon from seeing all the symbols on the girl’s body. He took out the Shadow of Fear as he let out a ever so lightly chuckle.

“Shadow of Fear.” Hannibal said as he disappeared into Kari’s head to bring out her darkest fear. Kari’s small smile vanished as she began to have a nightmare, brought up by Hannibal Bean. She squirmed slightly and whimpered, tossing back and forth.

“...N-no… Stop…” Kari muttered out loud in her sleep.

----- Kari’s nightmare -----

It was a raining autumn evening. A young three year old Kari was walking home in the streets of her birth place, Iga Japan. Little Kari looked around as she entered her house.

“Mommy! Daddy! I’m home!”

“Me too!” Called an older boy next to her. His hair was dark gray with a brown swervy line going through the left side and his eyes were a nice gold color. His name was Thread because the line resembled that. Kari giggled happily and raced towards an older woman after taking off her rain coat and boots.

“Hello my children.” She called and picked Kari up with an oof. “My, my! How much ice cream did you eat?” She asked, her long light blond hair flowed and her emerald green eyes shimmered as she giggled. Her name was Mikomi.

“Wan cup!” Kari smiled, miss pronouncing “one” only enhancing her cute factor. Soon a man with pure midnight black hair walked in. He smiled and his sapphire blue eyes narrowed lovingly as he saw his daughter and son home safely.

“Well, my little rascals are home. Come on. Time for bed. I let you out to get ice cream on your own so brush your teeth well then off to bed.” Mikomi placed Kari down and she looked up at her older brother, who was seven.

“Story?” She asked and he looked at her and smiled.

“And why would I not?” He asked and grabbed her and went to go help her get ready for bed.

Soon Kari and Thread were in bed, but not asleep. They heard their parents voices from the other room and they were giggling at each other, since they shared the same room. Soon a knock at the door caused both to sit up and go to their room door and listen carefully.

“Yes” They heard their father, Lynx.

“We have come for your daughter, Kari.” Another voice called and Kari gasped but Thread held her and listened, making sure Kari kept quiet.

“Why is that?” Mikomi asked, a little worry in her voice. A sigh from the visitor.

“She has shown displays of strange… Abilities while at school… We have come to take her under our custody.”

“No! She’s my daughter and she stays under this roof until---” Kari cried and rushed out of her room, Thread close behind.

“MOMMY DADDY PLEASE DON’T LET THEM TAKE ME!!” Kari cried as she hugged her father’s led.

“Kari! Come on!” Thread called out and Kari looked at the visitor. One was doing all the talking while another two stood behind him like body guards. The one in front wore a white lab coat while the other two wore bullet proof FBI vests. Lynx rubbed rubbed Kari’s head. The three visitors gasped in fear and took a step back. The two FBI men took out their guns, trembling.

“PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN!!! SHE’S HARMLESS!!!” Mikomi snapped and began to fight one of the FBI men to put his gun away. His finger slipped and she was shot through the heart, dying instantly.

“MOMMY!!” Kari called. “DADDY WH-WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO MOMMY?! WHAT ISN’T SHE MOVING?! WHAT WAS  THAT LOUD NOISE?!! WHAT IS THAT RED WATER COMING OUT OF HER CHEST?!” Kari went to go see her mother, tears in her eyes. “MOMMY WAKE UP!! MOMMY!! THIS ISN’T THE TIME TO BE SLEEPING MO---!!” Kari gasped, her mother’s eyes were wide open and were pure white. Blood dripping out of her mouth. “M-M-Mommy??” Kari hicced as her mother’s face went pale.

“Thread get your sister out of here!” Lynx called as he went to hold back the men by standing in front of the door.

“Kari, come on!” Thread grabbed Kari and held her so that she could see her father.

“What is going to happen Big brother?” Kari sniffled as gun shots were heard and their father fell, Kari seeing the whole thing with wide, terrified eyes. “D-D-Daddy??” She whispered while Thread gulped and raced far away.

“We’ll be fine. I know that.” Thread stated, trying not to cry for Kari’s sake as she sobbed uncontrollably. They were eventually put up for adoption at an orphanage a ways away from their home. Kari began to be bullied there because of her looks. Kari and Thread were separated a month after Kari’s fifth birthday. Kari was given to an abusive family who did not live in Iga, so she moved and had to endure their torture until she was eight. Not only that but they spread rumors about her abilities, making others want her dead.

Kari whimpered and whined loudly as she frowned, tears forming in her eyes. Hannibal was successful at weakening the Copying dragon. He was going to have one of the two dragons, he will get his hands on the Mercilus dragon at any cost he will use them in their final alternate self form to turn them against everyone as they eliminate anyone that gets his path.

Raimundo was having a hard time sleep so he got up and decided to go for a walk with his teddy bear since no one would see him carrying it around. Still in his pj’s Raimundo left his room to take a stroll under the moonlit sky that was filled with tiny stars. Kari let out a small yelp that could be heard out of her room.

“N-no! S-stop! S-stop it, pl-please!” She called out. Hannibal bean smirked, it was working.

“If you swear loyalty to Hannibal Bean, he can help you keep all the mean and hurtful people away from you. He’s even said to be able to make mercials come true.” Bean said making it sound like someone in the dream said it.

Raimundo was walking near by Kari’s room as he was thinking to himself trying to sort and figure things out. Kari whined.

“What… about my friends? C-can… They… Come?” Kari gulped as she asked, thinking it was all just a dream, but she was speaking aloud.

“I’m afraid to say they cannot. Who needs friends? Besides one day they’ll end up hurting you my dear, wouldn’t you rather protect yourself from being stabbed in the back than let them get close enough so they could hurt you.” Hannibal said trying to sound for the best interest of her safety. Kari growled.

“You’re not a part of my dream.” She stated, her eyes bolting open and rage filling her eyes and she sat up. Her eyes getting thick and her hair getting messy. “Who the hell do you think you are?!” She snapped once spotting Hannibal. Hannibal smiled to her and gave a slight bow.

“Well hello Copying dragon of the moon, a pleasure to meet you. I am Hannibal Bean at your services.” Raimundo was getting closer walking to Kari’s room still feeling restless. Kari growled, a fire surrounding her fists.

“You have ten seconds to explain what you’re doing here before I beat your ass!” Kari growled in anger as she took a stance. Hannibal waved his root arms.

“Now now, don’t be hasty child. I’ve come to take you with me. You can get revenge on those who took away everything from you if you come with me.” He said looking at her carefully. “If only you’re family wasn’t killed maybe you wouldn’t be here, you’d be able to live a happy normal life with them.” Bean questioned her looking her in the eyes. Kari went wide eyed. How did he know about her parents? She has only told Tina and Kaiser.

“Th-the hell?! H-how’d you k-know about that?!” Kari gulped, still in stage one. “I-I’ve only told two people about THAT and here you are… Talkin’ bout it…” Bean let out a chuckle.

“My dear child I know many things. But that doesn’t matter so much, tell me what’s your name?” He asked looking to her. Kari narrowed her eyes, not letting her guard down and keeping her flame around her wrists.

“...Kari Himura… But just call me Kari...” Kari stated with a guarded tone.

“It’s nice to meet you. But back to why I’m here Kari. I can offer you an opportunity of a life time. That is if you come with me.” Hannibal said watching Kari’s facial expressions. Kari tilted her head.

“... Well, what is this deal? I don’t like making decisions when I don’t know what the deal is.” Kari replied, not sure how she should react. Hannibal gave another smile to Kari.

“If you come with me, I can guarantee that you will get revenge on those who took away those who you loved the most and made your life a living hell. You can have anything you want in the world if you let me show you how special you really are.” He offered his root hand to her.

“A-anything…?” Kari replied, looking a little bewildered. She looked down in thought with slightly narrowed eyes. Anything? Did he really mean that? Raimundo was walking by as he heard talking and then stopped. Giving a confused look then getting mad, thinking it was Clay in Kari’s room as they talked about whatever it was. He got closer to listen in.

Hannibal nodded his head before talking. “Anything your heart desires my child. You can show everyone how wrong they were about you. You can show everyone that ever hurt or bullied you who’s the bigger person.” Hannibal was trying to tempt Kari, without trying to seem harmless. Raimundo’s eyes widened at who he was hearing. It wasn’t Clay at all, it was Hannibal Bean and Raimundo’s anger boiled up even more, thinking that the dumb bean was probably here to take her away. Raimundo busted open the door dropping his teddy bear more worried about Kari’s safety.

“Hannibal Roy Bean what the hell are you doing here?!” Raimundo glared at the big bean. Hannibal turned and saw Raimundo and smirked.

“Ah Raimundo, you seem to be doing well. I came to offer your friend Kari an offer even she can’t resist to take.” Raimundo took a fighting position and attacked him.

“Kari’s not going anywhere with you, and I’ll make sure of it if it’s the last thing I do!” Kari blinked at Raimundo and backed away.

“STOP!!” She shouted, using her telekinesis abilities on both Raimundo and Hannibal. Kari glared at the bean and lifter him up.

“I will tell YOU what I told Chase. I am staying RIGHT here at the Xiaolin temple! You have a problem then fine, I’m not moving.” Kari dropped both of them and Kari began to go to stage two. “Now get out of my sight before I decide to kill you… Painfully.” Kari growled. Hannibal backed off for now as he shrank his size jumping to the window sill for his bird to pick him up.

“Don’t worry Kari, you were lucky your little boyfriend came to the rescue. But I will reassure you, there will be a day when I will have you.” With those words he jumped on his bird and away he went. Raimundo’s face turned pink at the mention of the word boyfriend. H-he was just a friend protecting a good friend is all, right?

“B-boyfriend?! HELL NO!!” Kari gulped and sat down, her back to Raimundo, shivering slightly as she hugged herself. Raimundo’s heart ached after Kari shouted those words, why did that hurt him so badly, he didn’t like her like that did he? Kari whimpered slightly, remembering her dream as a tear went down her right cheek.

“... M...Mother… F... Father…” She gulped under her breath then hissed, as if she was in pain, even though it wasn’t physical. Raimundo noticed Kari having conflict with herself so he went over and gave her a hug, being gently with her. He could get hurt in the next few seconds, but at the time he didn’t care, he just wanted her to know he’s there for her whenever she needed something or anything. Kari got all tense and went to punch him, but she didn’t. Instead she felt a lump in her throat and held back her tears, whimpering and whining. “... Mommy… Daddy…” She hicced sadly. Raimundo smoothed the hair on her head.

“Kari it’s alright to let it out...I promise I won’t tell anyone, you’re safe and I promise no one is going to ever hurt you.” He said softly and kindly meaning every word he spoke. Kari gulped and finally broke sobbing uncontrollably. She hated it when her family was brought up, she hated her past. Why was this happening to her? Raimundo held her rubbing her back trying to help calm her down. He doesn’t know the full story of Kari’s past, but he was going to try and make things better for her to the best of his abilities and a little more. Kari looked at Raimundo after while, showing she was in stage one.

“D-don’t bring this up… K-kay… Y-you know what’ll happen…” She sniffled and leaned on his chest. “M-m-mind s-s-staying a little l-longer… I-I’m a… bit frazzled…” Raimundo as he nodded his head in a yes motion.

“I already promised you I wouldn’t tell anyone what happened tonight. Yes we can stay like this as long as you’d like Kari.” He said as he gave her a happy smile to try and cheer Kari up. Kari smiled and closed her eyes, comfortable.

“Thanks… This is kind of… Relaxing… I see why now…” A strange golden five pointer  star marking with blue points appeared on Kari’s left cheek as she giggled. Raimundo looked at the star he saw appear on Kari’s face. He was glad he was here to save her and help her calm down.

“H-hey Kari, I don’t ever remember you having a star on your face.” Raimundo asked slightly confused.

“Kari? Who do you mean?” She pushed away from Raimundo. “I am known by my people as Ahknam to you young man! I’ll have you know I’m very--- Hey why do I have boobs now? Wait--- argh don’t tell me… So… This is my descendant… Ugh…” ‘Kari’ stood up and walked to the mirror and blinked in it. “AH!!” she screamed.  “THE HECK?! WHERE’S MY BROWN HAIR?! MY MUSCLES?! MY FACIAL HAIR?!! I’VE BEEN REDUCED TO A MERE CHILD NOW?! AAHH!!!” Soon Master Fung was at Kari’s door.
