Soon the xiaolin monks arrived at the palace to see Master Fung at the front gate to see them. His hands behind his back and his face as always.

"You took quite a while. Did something happen? I got worried." Master Fung stated and the monks got off of Dojo. Raimundo got off Dojo as he carried Kari bridal style as Dojo shrinked once everyone was off him.

"Well we faked behind captured since we figured that the good one would help us get free from Chase, Wuya, and Jack which took a little time. Then while on our way back Kari got away, so we went after her and some other stuff happened, but we helped take care of the problem." Clay said setting Kari's belongings down on the ground.

"Yeah and while we were at Chase's palace poor Clay experienced the new Mercilus dragon's rage, she sure does have a bad temper." Dojo said as his whole body shivered as he remembered the look in Kaiser's eyes.

"What matters now is that everyone is safe, unharmed and we're able to keep the balance between heylin and xiaolin." Raimundo said while stretching his leg a bit from sitting on Dojo for a while. Kari hummed lightly as she turned slightly, almost falling out of Raimundo's grip.

"Rai, I'll take her to her new room." Kimiko smiled and took Kari, her eyes widening in shock.

"What is the matter Kimiko?" Omi asked.

"Guys... She's... Very light... like... Really light!" Kimiko seemed worried. "She should be this weight." Kimiko gulped and looked at Kari's face, she seemed fine. Omi tilted his head.

"Lemme see." He called then nabbed Kari, he showed the same expression. "Oh... This is most troubling." Omi stated. "She is as light as paper! ... Well, maybe a little heavier but still!" Kari mewed in her sleep and Kimiko took her back then went to Kari's room.

"I'm gonna look up why she could be so light weight in a sec. Clay, Omi bring her stuff please." kimiko stated and Omi followed Kimiko. Master Fung looked at the three then back at Raimundo and Dojo.

"Well, I'm just glad we have the Copying dragon of the moon on our side..." He gave a smile and gestured for Raimundo to follow him. "Come, dinner is nearly ready. Dojo, go tell the others that dinner is nearly finished, please." Dojo went on his way to go tell Kimiko, Clay, and Omi that dinner was just about ready and if Kari was up she was to come as well. Raimundo nodded his head to Fung as he followed by Master Fung's side.

"So um, master Fung, is there something you need to tell me? Normally you have me follow you when you have something to tell me." Raimundo said while he looked at his master beside him. Master Fung glanced at Raimundo and blinked.

"Raimundo... You remember when Wuya influenced you to join the Heylin side?" Master Fung asked kindly.

"Of course I remember, how could I forget..." Raimundo looked down to the ground a bit ashamed of himself. Master Fung put a hand on Raimundo's shoulder.

"Then you know what it was like." Master Fung then stopped, turned to be in front of his student then looked Raimundo dead center in his eyes. "Raimundo, since... Um, what was her name again?"

"Her name is Kari Himura master." Raimundo said as he looked back at his teacher.

"Kari, that is a nice name... Ahem, since Kari has been to the heylin side, though brief,I fear that this will make it easier for her to be influenced back over. I am entrusting you with one of the most crucial and important tasks I can give anyone. Make sure she is not influenced by anyone on the heylin side. If you fail, the world will be in eternal darkness because of this." Master Fung had a serious look in his eyes.

Raimundo nodded his head standing up straight and bowing down. "Of course Master Fung, I promise to do whatever it takes to keep Kari from being turned to the Heylin side...The other dragon though is her friend so things might be difficult, but I will fulfill my role as her guard." He straightened back up once he finished speaking and had a serious look in his eyes. Master Fung softened his look and smiled.

"Good. Now let us go eat." Master Fung began walking, soon seeing Dojo slithering towards the dining hall.

Raimundo followed Fung as he saw his friends and peers walking to the dining hall for dinner, he then saw that Kari was awake and following them. A smile found its way onto his face as he rushed over to catch up with them.

"There you are mate, everything alright?" Clay asked Raimundo as he nodded his head in a yes motion while they walked together to get inside the dining hall.

"Yeah, don't worry about it pal." He said as they bumped their fists together. Soon enough they all entered the dining hall and taking their seats. Raimundo sat on the left side of Kari and gave her a smile. "Have a nice nap Kari?" Kimiko, who sat to Kari's right, smiled as Kari replied.

"Mmmm...? Huh? oh... Yeh..." She yawned, still half asleep. But soon she was fully awake when the food arrived. Her eyes were wide and hungry and her mouth almost began to water. Kari's stomach growled.

"dig in." Master Fung called and Kari had at it! She was the first to take a bite and almost choked on her food she was so hungry. Kimiko watched her behavior as she thought about earlier with Kari's weight.

"Maybe she's not eating enough?" She thought. Kari purred happily and then noticed she wasn't alone. She widened her eyes and blushed in embarrassment, her plate clean before anyone else was done.

"U-uh... S-sorry...." Kari looked down, not sure how to react.

"It's alright las, everyone gets that way whenever they're really hungry. Besides you were probably so hungry you could eat a horse." Clay says with a smile as everyone went silent because he used one of his weird metaphors. Then everyone continued to eat the food on their plates. Kimiko sighed contently as she finished her food.

"Dinner was amazing!" She smiled widely.

"Most definitely..." Omi stated, patting his stomach. Master Fung nodded then looked at Kari, who had just finished her third plate of dinner. She smiled happily, finally full.

"That was the best meal I've ever had!" Kari giggled. Master Fung smiled.

"Glad to hear it, Kari." He stated.

"Uh, how do you know my name?"

"Raimundo told me." Master Fung gestured an arm to Raimundo. "You can call me Master Fung." Kari blinked then nodded.

"Kay..." She stated innocently. "So, what's up with... Well... All of this?" Kari made a wide circle motion with her arms, meaning the temple, the magic, everything.

"Well to put it short and sweet for you Kari, there are these artifacts called Shen Gong Wu and they all have magical powers that vary on what they can do. The xiaolin temple here is where young xiaolin monks train and practice to fight the Heylin side to protect the world from going into eternal darkness. The dragon warriors of each element which are these guys right here are training to be stronger to stand against Chase and the other villains that are also after the wu." Dojo says as he breaths from explaining all of that to Kari. "Since you're also a very special dragon warrior you'll be training everyday with them." Dojo says with a big smile with arms opens.

"Welcome to the group Kari." Everyone said with a big friendly smile for Kari to feel welcome and at home with them. Kari blinked, actually being accepted by people who just met her. She looked down slightly and sighed.

"Y-yeh... Sure..." She replied bitterly. "Look, I'm still a little frazzled... So, I'm just gonna go back to my room. I remember the way there. So, please excuse me." Kari stood up and went to her room after taking care of her plates. Master Fung watched her leave and sigh.

"I can tell she is going through a lot." He thought with a light hum. Clay and Raimundo watched as Kari went off to take care of her plates and then head to her room for the night. Thinking back on today's events a lot did happen, especially for Kari. Dojo looked at the group feeling the same way until a light bulb went off and smiled looking to the young monks.

"Well tomorrow is another day, and after training tomorrow if we don't have to go hunt a shen gong wu, we can all hang out and have fun so Kari can feel right at home and she'll be a bit more happy!" Dojo cheered as Raimundo and Clay as well as Omi and Kimiko liked the sound of that, they would train in the morning so the rest of the day could be spent hanging out and goofing around with Kari so everyone gets to know one another better.

 "I'm totally down for it!" Raimundo cheered punching the air with excitement thinking of a day off since they had been fighting the heylin side two days in a row.

"I'd be happy as a pig in a mud puddle to take part!" Clay said giving a big smile. Dojo looked to Omi and Kimiko to see their responses.

"That would be most fascinating! I would like a good day of relaxation and resurrection!" Omi giggled with a big childish smile.

"Omi, it's 'rest and relaxation' and I'd love that too. We'd get to know Kari a little more as well." Kimiko smiled as she said this. Dojo nodded his head happily.

"Then it's decided, if you don't have to worry about going after wu or the heylin side attacking we're all going to spend the rest of the day together playing games and relaxing!" Dojo said happily before talking again. "Well everyone should go and get their rest, we've had a long day, and I'll take care of the dishes." He said as he started stacking the plates as everyone thanked him for taking his or her plate. Raimundo and Clay let out loud yawns as they got up from where they sat, saying their goodnights to everyone. Then soon after started heading for their rooms.

Kimiko did the same and then went for her room while Omi yawned then mumbled his good night and wobbled off to his room. He then got on his head and fell asleep while everyone else got under their covers and fell asleep. Kari read a book and smiled as she fell asleep, the book on her face as she hummed.

----- Chase's palace -----

Chase was sitting in his throne chair, the Copying dragon got away. But that doesn't matter, sooner or later he will get her back if it's the last thing he does. Jack was tinkering his jackbots that Kari had messed up earlier, Wuya was sitting by with her feet in the water talking to herself about who knows what, and Kaiser sitting near the other area of water by herself spaced out. That was when an idea popped up into his head, he should see just how much Kaiser was capable of already. Wuya having her feet in the water still mad that the Copying dragon had escaped from them, yeah the purpose was for the two to keep balance; However she wanted to rule the world so with the two the world could be her's and Chase's as well.

Kaiser looking into the water looking at her own reflection thinking about nothing in particular. Taking off her snapback to tuck her hair back into it so she looked like how she did before the hat came off. At least Kaiser knew Kari would be in good hands, she was always too innocent for her own good. She heard the clanking of metal as she looked over to Jack while he tried to repair it starting to get frustrated.

 "Argh! That little... Rrgh, she really messed up my Jack-bots. How did she even do that?! How is she, like, ten? Nine?!" He grumbled in anger, thinking Kari was younger than she actually was, she was actually twelve years old. Kaiser looked to the ground as she saw a piece as she got up and picked it up to get a better look. Figures it's probably a part of one of the robots she walks over to Jack.

"Oi." She called out to Jack. Chase watches Kaiser as she traveled over to Jack, he'll see what amusing events turn up at the moment. Wuya was also watching to see what happens. Jack looked at Kaiser and frowned, still working on his robot.

"What is it?" He asked, still ticked off because of Kari's meddling. Kaiser looked at him like don't get an attitude with me because your toys got messed up, as she held up a piece up to him.

"I believe this belongs to one of your little toys. And by the way Kari's not nine or ten, she's twelve." Jack blinked in shock as he took the piece."Really? She's so short that she looked younger."

----- xiaolin temple -----

As Kari slept soundly she let out an adorable kitten-like sneeze. "Someone... Gonna... Die... Later..."

----- Chase's palace -----

Kaiser shook her head and crossed her arms. "She would've hurt you if she heard you call her short. We're not THAT young." She watched as he tinkered with the thing while they were talking. Jack shrugged and stick his head in the torso of the robot he was working on.

"Could've fooled me..." He mumbled, his voice echoing in the robot's chest. Kaiser rolled her eyes. That was when Wuya let out a shriek in fright when something tackled her from her sitting position.

"Chase one of your cats is attacking me!" As an adult size snow leopard standing on Wuya snarling a bit at her as her long semi-fluffy tail flicked around. Chase Young looked to where the horrible shrieking was coming from to see a cat that wasn't his. What was it doing here, and more importantly how did it get in.

"That cat is not mine Wuya." He simply said as he saw Kaiser look over. Once Kaiser recovered from Wuya's awful shrieking that sounded that of a banshee she looked over to see the snow leopard and her eyes widen.

"Snowflake come." Kaiser said as the leopard looked up and jumped off Wuya and went straight to Kaiser as she made a mewling noise. Jack blinked at the snow leopard and stated.

"Wait, what just---??" He gulped in shock. Kaiser sat on her knees as snowflake jumped into her owner's arms curling up purring and nuzzling. Chase was intrigued by how fast snowflake listened to Kaiser, finally he wasn't the only one with a cat. By the looks of it, the snow leopard was very fond of her owner as he watched the cat nuzzle and act as if it was a younger cat towards Kaiser. Wuya didn't think it was cute at all as she sat back up and glared at the leopard.

"Keep that feline under control will you! This dress was made of the finest of materials!" Wuya shouted at Kaiser. Kaiser looked up as snowflake did as well in Wuya's direction while Kaiser gave the not my fault snowflake doesn't like you and does it look like clothes matter to me.

"Maybe next time I'll just let her use you as a scratching post, how about that?" Kaiser said as she looked at Wuya to see that the look of horror written all over Wuya's face and let out a laugh at how priceless it was. Chase smirked a bit at how entertaining it was, maybe things around here would be different now that the Mercilus dragon is with them. Jack blinked and just stared, amused at how she told off Wuya.

Chase stood up off of his throne as he looked to Kaiser as he felt Wuya looking at him once again. "Kaiser, I'm interested in seeing what you could do. I'd hate for you to get into a fight and not win." Chase said walking down the stairs. Kaiser set snowflake down as she stood up watching Chase as he descended down the stairs to her as stood by her obviously taller than her.

"Even if I got into a fight, there's nothing for you to worry about, because I always win." Kaiser smirks at her remark towards him. Chase lead the way to the training/meditating room as Kaiser and Wuya followed. Wuya wanted to watch not only to see for herself what Kaiser could do, but to see Chase beat her. Jack left his robots and went to watch the two spar. He was curious about this legendary dragon and wanted to see her.

"I... Can wait to fix my Jack-bots..." He thought as he walked behind Wuya. Soon enough they got into the large room as Kaiser followed Chase to the middle while Wuya, Snowflake, and Jack stood at a safe place where they wouldn't get in the middle of their spar. The two stood a good few feet apart from one another as they faced each other.

"Are you ready Mercilus dragon?" Chase looked at Kaiser to see if she had any looks of fear or hesitation, but found none. Kaiser nodded her with a smirk on her face as the both bowed to one another before getting into their fighting position. On the sidelines Wuya could be heard cheering for Chase to win. Chase decided to test out hand to hand combat first as he rushed at her balling his fists and went for the face. Kaiser dodged and got a good shot to punch Chase right in the face skidding him back a little bit away from her. Wuya gasped, that brute of a little girl punched her Chase right in the face. She tried everything in her power to not blast the girl with her magic.

Jack smirked and internally chuckled, crossing his arms rooting for Kaiser. He watched at Kaiser stared at Chase, feeling a chill zip through his spine. It was Kaiser's turn to rush at Chase. When she got close enough she went for a roundhouse kick, and right when it looked like it was going to hit him Chase grabbed her leg and flung her into the floor. Wuya cheered more excited that he didn't get hurt again. Kaiser winced for a second, but got right back up and dodged a kick. For a while it was back and forth punches and kicks some missed or some would hit one another and that's when Chase made his staff appear twirling it around.

"So far I'm impressed with your hand to hand combat, but lets see how you fight with a weapon." Chase said not really paying mind that she actually had a weapon on hand. Kaiser saw it was time for weapons as she reached into her pouch and grabbed one throwing knife with a smirk.

Jack cheered at this and punched the air, excited about Kaiser looking so cool using the throwing knife. It suited her very well. Chase went for a high hit but she blocked it with the knife with a smirk as she kicked him in the chest sending him stumbling backwards. With a fair enough distance between them, Kaiser threw the knife at Chase, but then a whole bunch of other knives magically appeared heading towards Chase. Wuya was surprised at how many more just appeared like that. Chase twirled his staff to block them as the fake knives turned to black mist and the real one sliced his cheek a bit.

 "Clever girl, so you do know how to use it." Chase said slightly, referring to her abilities, glad he didn't need to work as hard to put this girl to use. Wuya watched closely it was true that both dragons had incredible power, but witnessing it was mind boggling. Wuya then noticed Kaiser's eyes were glowing black like her symbol. While running at Chase another Kaiser appeared and when it came in to attack the real Kaiser's eyes widened as she freaked out. No one else could see it, but everywhere and everything around her was covered in blood and right near Chase was two dead bodies on the ground as she screamed.

Jack winced. "What's happening?" He gulped, not sure what was going on. His eyes wide as he watched her scream out in fright. Wuya jumped at the sound of Kaiser scream, what's gotten into her she didn't get punched or anything. Chase looked at the real Kaiser as the illusion one disappeared like the knives did before. He guessed since she was still a bit unstable when using her ability or the lack of using her ability of illusions happened so that only she could see them. So he took the chance and sweep kicked her feet making her fall onto her back while she was having her mini freak out. Kaiser winced once she felt herself hit the cold hard floor a bit hard and she closed her eyes and covered her face with her hands. Soon Snowflake ran to her owner to see if she was alright. Jack just stared, frozen in time, her scream echoing in his head.

Chase kneeled down slightly to see that she was...Crying? This was enough for now, whatever she was seeing was taking a toll on her and he patted her head. "You did good, you exceeded what I expected from you." Kaiser didn't utter a word, on the inside she was screaming her eyes out, remembering that the bodies on the floor where her parents. The memory of when they got into that horrible accident came flooding in her mind as Snowflake got over to Kaiser and mewled. Wuya watched standing by Jack getting slightly mad that Chase was patting her on the head, he never gives her any compliments or anything, but internally smirking at Kaiser's weak state. Jack walked over slightly, a little sorry for Kaiser. He stopped remembering Chase was there and that he might kill him if he messed up again, so he kept a safe distance. Jack decided to stay the night, because he was kicked out of his home and told Chase he'd do chores and stuff if he could stay. Eventually everyone was getting ready for bed.

 After a while of Kaiser in the same spot while Snowflake was nudging and purring, trying to comfort her owner. Kaiser finally sat up and rubbed her eyes getting rid of the tears, she didn't want anyone seeing her as weak as she placed her hand on Snow's head petting her noticing no one, they were the only ones in the room. Chase left his room then saw Jack cleaning the hall and motioned for Jack to follow him as he walked away so Wuya and Kaiser, whose rooms were within ear shot,wouldn't be able to hear. Once they were at a safe distance Chase turned to Jack and gave him a serious look.

"Jack." Jack shivered.

"Yes??" He gulped.

"I have another task for you and it's very important," Chase started talking making sure Jack was listening. "If you want to prove to me that you can actually do something properly and not a spineless swine you're going to keep a careful eye on Kaiser. There have been times when the Xiaolin side has taken the Mecilus dragon from the heylin side and I will not have it happen. Not only that but if we go hunting for wu and she fights using her ability the same thing is going to happen again so I'm trusting that you can do that much, can I leave such a task in your grubby hands?"Chase has no room for mess ups none, if Jack was to mess this up Chase was not going to be a very happy camper. Jack nodded quickly.

"Yes sir! Of course! I'll do the best job, you can count on me!" Jack responded, saluting, quickly understanding the gravity of the situation. Chase nodded his head as he went back to his room hoping that someone like Jack could handle that important job, he'll have to wait and see. Jack finished up then yawned and went to his room, scratching his butt in the process as he smacked his lips. He fell face first onto his bed then fell asleep instantly, snoring loudly.
