---- Chase's Palace ----

It was around noon as everyone in Chase's domain was doing something different. Chase having a bowl of his Lao Mang Lone Soup, while Wuya was filing her nails looking through a girl's magazine as she laid on her stomach. Kaiser was once again in Jack's lab, but this time alone since she saw Jack sleeping against a pillar most likely from over doing the chores, but Kaiser made sure that Snowflake stood by watching him. The reason behind why Kaiser did it and why she's fixing up his robots for him was unknown, heck she didn't even know why she was doing it herself.

"This boy really must love his pudding cups." Kaiser said oddly finding yet another pudding cup in a robot and tossing it into the trash as she wore a red tank top and black skinny jeans. Her hands covered in oil and smudges on her face as well, but she didn't worry about it.

"Annddd that's the last one." Kaiser said closing up the last Jack-bot scribbling a little note simply saying "You're welcome Jack" leaving it on the table without signing her name to go to her room to clean up and change. Jack yawned and realized he had fallen asleep while mopping.

"Ah! Aw d-did anyone see me? I sure hope--" He soon noticed Snowflake and jumped in surprise. Realizing it was Snowflake he smiled. "Hey Snowflake." He stated with a wave as he went back to mopping. Snowflake let out a small roar to him while watching him get up.

Kaiser was in her room cleaning off all the oil and getting a different tank top since it had oil stains on it as it got replaced with a royal blue one since her skinny jeans didn't get dirty. Kaiser decided to actually do something with her hair as she started to flip her hair braiding her it from underneath and then putting it in aponytail. Brushed her bangs so not completely in her face leaving the room leaving without putting her choker on. Jack hummed a tune and then finished mopping and sighed.

"Phew! Done. Look good Snowflake? Did I miss a spot?" He asked with a smile. Snowflake shook her head letting out a cutemewling noise as if saying "you did good." Kaiser leaned on the wall watching Jack talk to her snow leopard with a small light smile on her face being quiet.

"There you are Kaiser." A voice said quietly behind her and she jumped and turned around to seeWuya.

"Don't do that, DO you want me to hurt you?" Kaiser said back to her normal kinda cold self. Wuya put her hands up defensively looking at the younger girl.

"No, no thank you." Wuya leaned to the side to see Jack with the mop and the snow leopard as she smirked a bit. "So you and Jack huh?" Kaiser looked at her shaking her head and arms in an "X" motion.

"Th-there's nothing going on between us, so get that thought out of your head you nut job...We're...Just friends." Kaiser said leaning on the pillar.

"Oh I'm sorry, it's just the first time I've ever seen you with your guard down, well I'll leave you alone. Byebye." With that Wuya left leaving Kaiser to herself. Kaiser went back to watching Snow and Jack interact while losing herself in her thoughts. "That'll be the day, Jack doesn't need someone like me, I wouldn't make a good girlfriend anyway. I'm too much of a brute, I'm always blunt when I speak, and I'm not even that attractive. Jack will find someone that suits him perfectly one day." Kaiser thought to herself as she felt a little sadness seep throughout her heart, but why. Soon Jack saw her and smiled.

"Hey Kaiser! I think Snowflake likes me!" He sounded happy and had on a dorky smile. Kaiser looked to Jack as she heard him talking about Snowflake, and give her a smile. She didn't know why, but his dorky smiles always seemed to lighten her mood and feel a bit better about things. Kaiser watched as Snow was rubbing her head on Jack's legmewling happily and soon Kaiser started to walk over to them.

"Yeah it looks like it, normally she'll claw to death anyone that gets near her that isn't me." Jack winced at Kaiser's words.

"R-really? W-well, then I guess I'm pretty lucky huh?" Jack chuckled nervously, rubbing Snowflake's head. Snow nudged her head into Jack's hand as he petted her.

"You know, maybe next time make sure to not over work yourself till you fall asleep. Oh and you might wanna wipe the side of your mouth I can see some dried up drool." Kaiser said motioning to her lip to show "where" it was slightly lying about the drool on him. Jack blinked and wiped his face and nodded.

"Will do, thanks." He smiled at her and chuckled.

----- Xiaolin Temple -----

Everyone at the temple had just finished lunch and was going for free time when Kari went to stage one with a major itch and Dojo had a case of runny nose.

"S-sooo itchy!!" Kari frowned as she scratched her left arm quickly and whined. Kimiko went to grab the scroll along with The copying Dragon of the moon and theMercilus dragon of illusions scrolls. Kari's scratching almost caused her to bleed since her hand was a blur. Raimundo rushed over to Kari grabbing her hands to stop her from scratching.

"Whoa Whoa, careful there Kari! you're gonna hurt yourself if you keep scratching yourself like that." Raimundo said inspecting where Kari was itching to make sure there was no blood. Dojo sneezed loudly and then blew his nose.

"Great another wu to go after. A-a-choo!" Before Dojo could continue to talk he sneezed again asboogers were stuck to his claws.

"We should head out right away, we don't want Jack and company to get to the wu first." Clay said grabbing the other scroll to look up what the was the wu they were looking for. Kimiko nodded at Clay after she winced at Dojo's boogers.

"Eeeew, Dojo use a tissue!" She shivered in disgust and gulped as Dojo grew bigger. Kari went back to normal to conserve energy. When she saw Dojo was bigger she knew what was happening. She blinked up at Raimundo and smiled childishly.

"Stand here please." Kari told him and then used him as a platform to get on Dojo. "Sucess!!" Kari giggled and sat down on Dojo's head. Raimundo did as Kari said and laughed at how childish she acted at how happy she was to finally get up there all "by herself" as he got onto Dojo as Clay hopped on as well.

"Keep all hands and feet insi-id-choo!" Dojo tried to say as he sneezed again just taking for forthe skies to get to the wu.

"So Kimiko what's the wu we're hunting down this time?" Raimundo asked his female friend that was in front of him also looking over her shoulder to look. Kari blinked and went to stage one, looking over her shoulder with wide eyes and crossed arms, curious.

"It's called The Mermaid's Music Box. When opened a melody rumored to be sung by mermaids and can put the anyone to sleep for a certain amount of time, but If used to target males it will put them under a hypnotic state until the box is closed." Kimikoinformed, glancing at Kari, along with everyone else, even Dojo.

"What?... What?!" Kari blinked and turned to face everyone, tilting her head as she sat in her usualposition. Raimundo laughed a bit.

"That wu would be good if having a hard time sleeping at night." Raimundo said as Clay nodding his head.

"Just like my mama's jewelry box back in Texas, she'd play it like a lullaby." Clay smiled fondly while thinking back on to his memories. Kari blinked and turned away, her head slightly low as she tried to remember anything like what Clay just said, but sadly, she was unable to because she was twelve now, the youngest out of all six dragons, and back then she was too young. Soon enough Dojo was flying over New York City. Omismiled happily and looked at all the tall buildings.

"This place is so very big!! Just like last time!" Omi smiled happily.

"Yeah, don't get lost like you did last time you were here." Kimiko giggled and Kari looked around, jumping off.

"Scarf wings!" She called out and began flying beside Dojo, not going off on her own, much to everyone's amazement as they stared. Kari looked at them. "WHAT?! WHY DO YOU KEEP STARING AT ME LIKE THAT?!" She growled and huffed as a little steam hissed from the top of her head, turning back to watch where she was flying with her cheeks puffed out in a pouting mannerand grumbling in annoyance under her breath. Raimundo was chuckling a bit.

"Just make sure to stick with us Kari, it's a pain in the butt trying to regroup if we get split up. Trust me it's happened so many times to Omi." Poking fun at the big yellow headed boy in the very front. Clay let out a chuckle and Dojo laughed as he sneezed again.

"I can't wait to find this wu and stop this sneezing!" Dojo shouted.

"Dojo! Watch where you sneeze! You almost got my scarf!" Kari pouted and huffed. Seeing a comic book store and staring at it, hovering in place. "COMICS!!!" She squealed and zoomed that way happily, quickly getting out of everyone's sight.

"Kari come back here! I just told you not to go far from us!" Raimundo shouted loudly to the overly energetic girl flying down to the comic book store. But it was a too late as she was nothing but a speck in the crowd at this point. Dojo huffed as he kept on flying.

"Aye aye aye! We just warned her NOT to do that THAT!" Dojo said without sneezing. Raimundo hit himself in the face with his hand as he muffled.

"Kari is gonna be the death of me one of these days." Raimundo said then running his fingers through his brown hair calming down. It was just the comic book store and then Kari was going to go looking for her friends and Dojo, right?

Kari smiled and entered the comic book store happily like a kid in a candy store.

"Lets see... Um, Tomb wars... No... Uh, Vampire furry... barf... AH-HA!! DRAGON BATTLERS ISSUE NINE!!! Oh man! I've been wondering when you were coming!!" Kari giggled and saw the price. "... Awe, I don't have that kind of money..." Kari frowned and put it back then left the store with a sigh, quickly realizing she was lost. Panicking she went back to her normal form and looked around. "G-guys?" She gulped. "GUYS?!" She raced to find them but could not find a single trace of her group. "Oh no... I'm lost in new york!" Kari shivered then began to race around, soon hitting someone and falling backwards on her butt.

"O-oww... S-sorry sir, I was looking for my friends." Kari stated while rubbing her forehead then her rear, not seeing who she ran into. Before Kari stood Chase Young as he crossed his arms over his chest with a smirk as he looked down to her.

"It looks like a certain Copying dragon of the moon didn't listen to her friend's warning about not running off on your own." Chase said with a chuckle. Kari gasped and stood up quickly.

"Chase?! how did you, why--- H-how'd you know about that?!" Kari went to stage one and growled. "Why are you here? You know I'm never gonna join you on the Heylinside." Chase put a hand up to Kari to stop her from talking any further.

"Now now, I didn't come to get you to join the heylin side, just a simple check in to see how the Copying dragon was holding up while staying with the Xiaolin warriors." Chase kept a close eye on her before continuing to talk. "Besides I went off on my own hunting for the wu, and you're the one who bumped into me." Chase reminded Kari. Kari blinked and looked down.

"Y-yeh..." She sounded ashamed in her actions. "I guess I got too excited about the big comic store..." Kari let out a depressed sigh. "How's Kaiser?" She asked, not looking up. "She doing well with you on your side?" She still sounded a little depressed yet she also sounded a little worried about her friend. Chase let out a sigh as he fixed his hair while Kari asked him about Kaiser.

"Kaiser, is well Kaiser...However it might just me and Wuya, but she seems to be a bit mellower. Maybe it's just that she has her snow leopard and the other cats." Chase said.

"So, she's not getting mad at every little thing?" Kari blinked and smirked, her hair then going crazy. "AAH!!! RASH!!! CRAP IT'S SOOO CLOSE!!! GOTTA GO BYE!!!" Kari raced off quickly, leaving a trail of dust behind her and causing wind to mess with Chase's hair. Chase didn't get to answer Kari's question as she soon left right after turning to look at the dust. Chase smirked as he easily followed Kari as he figured Kaiser and the other two will be there as well.

"If I find the Wu I find my friends!"Kari thought as she sped through the crowd. "Coming through!" She called eventually summoning her skateboard and riding it on the roof tops. "No warping, it takes too much energy for long distances... "Kari looked around, soon finding it. She laughed triumphant laugh, unaware that Chase was close behind her.

Raimundo and the others searched for the wu figuring they'll meet up that way rather taking time from actually searching for Kari. Dojo, now tiny sized, was hiding in Clay's hat as he sneezed once again for the hundredth time today.

"I-it's really close. that direction!" Dojo shouted as he hand poked out from under Clay's hat pointing in the correct directions. Raimundo started to run in that direction, he needed to know that Kari was okay and safe. A big city like this could hurt, or even worse kill Kari and Raimundo would feel awful about not being able to protect her from them. Kari skid to a stop and saw the wu and jumped up and down happily then began to go and grab it, seeing her friends and waving at them happily.

"Kari!" Omi called out happily with a giggle as Kimiko sighed. Raimundo was able to breathe finally knowing she was safe. Clay also with them as he saw Kari, but his eyes widened as he saw Kaiserappear suddenly behind Kari.

"Kari look out!" Clay shouted as Kaiser grasped the wu as well as it glowed gold.

"Kaiser?! .. I-I challenge you to aXiaolin showdown!"

"It looks like it's just you and me old friend, I accept your challenge.." Kaiser said with a smirk.

"My lunar locket against your icicle rod! The name of the game is skateboard racing! First to the end with having done at least five advanced tricks gets the Wu!" Kari called out and narrowed her eyes, hating that she had to go against Kaiser, but it was bound to happen at some point.

"Lets go! Xiaolin showdown!" They called out in unison and the field changed into a skating course built for a giant. Kari was now wearing her robes and her goggles over her eyes as her scarf was adjusted so it wouldn't get snagged in the wheels yet still flow. "Gong yi tempai!" Kari was the first down with a smirk. Kaiser then followed in second, but smirking holding her wu as it glowed blue.

"TRY AND KEEP UP!!" She called while going up a ramp then flipping so her head was towards the ground and she spun her skate board with her legs while making her body look like a star shape. She then landed safely, giving Raimundo a heart attack for a second. A scoreboard counted one out of five for Kari. Kaiser started to make her own railing with the icicle rod, kick flippingonto it riding on the board as she made it go up high and then a steep drop as she plummeted tuck flipping toward holding both sides of the board, sticking the landing as she kept going with a big smirk. Kari then went for a helicopter move. She sped up while going for a high ramp, launching off of it and spinning the skateboard below her as she let it go and landed on the ground with a roll. Kaiser 1 and Kari 2.

Kaiser decided to then sit on the board as the ice made loop de loops as she held on and getting back up near the end soaring through the sky pulling a 360. Raimundo was not believing his eyes as he watched the two girls skateboard like pros.

Kari went for her third trick but messed it up and skid on the ground as she went for the landing, cutting her arm. "Ow... That hurt.. Ok, back in the game!" Kari huffed and got back on her board and tried again. Raimundo freaked out and winced as Kari fell down as he cheered for Kari to keep going. She did a grind to start then flipped onto another rail to grind on a loop de loop then she jumped off once at the highest point, using her fire abilities to give her board a small boost as she did a forward flip and her board did a backward flip both making a circle and then landing back on the ground. Kaiser then sent ice shards at Kari's board. Now it was Kaiser 3 tricks and Kari 3 tricks. Raimundo, Omi, Kimiko, Dojo and Clay cheered for Kari while Wuyaand Jack cheered for Kaiser to leave Kari in her dust while Chase watched very impressed. Kari went for her fourth trick. She went to the highest point she could then jumped down after getting a good start. She then spun as she snapped her fingers and a grinding rail appeared that was made of pure wind. She went and jumped off doing a 360 on to another platform so she could do her fifth and final trick.

"LUNAR LOCKET!!" Kari called and the moon came down to Kari and she smiled, getting on it. The moon then shot up and Kari huffed, making a ramp appear and she then went at full speed, jumping off of it, free-falling towards the ground. She spun a few times until she finally did all of her tricks combined and landed. Kari then raced to the finish as fast as she could. Kaiser let out a snarl as her eyes glowed misty black as her eyes thin out as she started to create a black mist covering the whole field making it hard for Kari to see where she was going.

"It's been awhile since we last rode our skateboards like this huh!?" Kaiser smirked as she needed to pull off two tricks to get the last two points before Kari. Kaiser hopped onto a windy looking rail cutting edges looking like she'd fall but not exactly as she created another Kaiser on a Skateboard who was also pulling a stunt making that five points for Kaiser as well and using the ice from the rod as a speed boost.

Kari growled and rubbed her eyes, stopping and looking around as the mist clouded her vision. Both Kaiser's had no issue seeing in the mist as they got ahead of Kari going to the finish line.

"Looks like you'd gonna lose this one Kari." Kaiser shouted not looking back smirking.

Kari sniffed the air and raced after them, her eyes closed.

"NOT LIKELY!!! You forgot something!" Kari felt her hand grab the Wu. "I have enhanced smelling! And I know your scent well!" When the showdown was over both Kaiser and Kari were holding the wu! "Wh-what?!" Kari gulped and both scrolls began to glow with new information.

"Dojo it's a good time to explain what's new now!" Raimundo said looking at the scrolls as Dojo opened them both up. Before reading the scrolls Dojo takes out his glasses and clearing his throat as he read.

"It says in both in the scrolls that if ever in a showdown for a wu comes to a draw by of illusions then in the end it's the shen gong wu that chooses who gets to keep it." Raimundo and Clay nodded as they looked to see which one the mermaid's box was going to pick. Kari and Kaiser let go of the box and let it float in front of them, taking a few step back. The wu stayed still for a while until it began to move towards Kari and rested in her hands. Raimundo and the gang cheered as the box chose Kari over Kaiser. Kari looked at the wu in shock then at Kaiser and blinked, giving a sad look then turning around and going to her group and handing the box toKimiko, who was not cheering. She punched everyone and growled and pointed at Kaiser, reminding them that Kari still cared for her. She puffed her cheeks out in anger. Kaiser watched as Kari walked away from her, Kaiser wouldn't dare show it but she missed the days they spent together in the past. But that's all over and exactly in the past.

"Kaiser let's go!" Chase called for her so they could leave. Kaiser turned as her braid ponytail moved from her neck showing her symbol on the back of her neck of the skull and knives.

"Coming." Kaiser said walking to Chase's side Kari looked back at Kaiser and sighed, seeing Chase looking over his shoulder at her and the warriors. Raimundo and Clay stopped cheering and held their faces in pain.

"WHAT was that for Kimiko!?" The two boys shouted to Kimiko confused to her actions. Dojo just shook his head.

"Kari just WON! AGAINST KAISER!! YOU IDIOTS!!" Kimiko snapped.

"Remember, Kari still views Kaiser as her friend so it must have hurt her to do that, especially since they were once so close." Omi sighed and Kari growled.

"Hey, dummies. I'm right here. Talk about me behind my back when I'm not within ear shot alright?" Kari crossed her arms and gulped. "Dojo can we go now? I'm tired."

"But it is way before--"

"I SAID I'M TIRED DANM IT!!!" Kari growled in anger. Dojo quickly grew so everyone could get on so they can head home. Clay climbed on first silently feeling bad now with how he acted. Raimundo went over to Kari to see if she needed help getting up. Kari blinked and sighed, accepting his help hesitantly while Kimiko andOmi jumped on. Raimundo started to pick her up as he said quiet enough for Kari to only hear.

"I'm sorry you had to go through with that, if I could have I would have taken your spot Kari...I know how much of a good friend Kaiser it to you." He frowned a bit.

"It's fine... I just wish it was back then, when we were younger and didn't have to deal with all of this... I hope we can hang out still, in the future..." Kari climbed onto Dojo and sat in the back this time in her usual position, watching as they left the city and went back to the temple. Kari ate dinner and went to bed after brushing her teeth and taking a shower and getting in her pajamas. She looked around and took out the Mermaid's Music Box and smiled.

"Mermaid's Music Box. Help me sleep." Kari whispered, grabbedKitearo and curled up under her covers then opened the music box and let out a happy sigh as she went to sleep. Raimundo was heading to his room from dinner as he came walking by Kari's room. Upon getting close to the door he heard music playing as he stopped and decided to peek inside to make sure Kari was alright.

Once quietly opening the door and sticking his head in, he smiled softly as he saw Kari peacefully sleeping as the mermaid's boxwas opened playing music. He softly went to the box to close it figuring it should keep her asleep till the morning time.

"... Mother... Father..." Kari moaned in her sleep happily with a small smile. Raimundo looked to Kari to see her happily sleeping, probably dreaming of a time when her parents were still alive. Not wanting to intrude any longer than he left the room quietly being able to sleep knowing she's getting a good nights rest as he got to his room, changed into Pj's and hit the mat falling asleep fast.
