Take A Breather
The Raft....
The guards at the highly secured super prison stood on guard when a helicopter prepared to land.
Guard: What the hell is this? We're not scheduled for any visits today.
Commander: Stand down. I think that's Maria Hill.
The helicopter landed and the doors laid open. Sure enough, Agent Maria Hill from the US Goverment stepped out. Behind her, was a much larger figure.
Maria: At ease, men. I bring you Victor Creed aka Sabertooth. We just caught him trying to break into an European embassy and this was the closest high security prison. I didn't want to take any chances.
Maria began to walk with Sabertooth following behind. The Commander joined them while other guards marched along to keep an eye on things.
Commander: No one told us you were coming, ma'am.
Maria: I didn't know I was. But we have him locked tight in those adamantium cuffs.
Commander: And where should we put him?
Maria: Find a hole and throw him into it.
The two continued to walk, before Maria suddenly stopped. She then smacked her head.
Maria: Oh, wait. I forgot. Those aren't adamantium cuffs. Do we even have adamantium cuffs?
Sabertooth suddenly broke his cuffs clean off, and began to slaughter the guards that were trying to stop him. Maria just walked towards the cell she was looking for.
Maria: Hello. Believe it or not, I'm here to help you. I know you and I have not always seen eye to eye, but I know you and I admire you and your powers.
???: Who the hell are you?
Maria just began to unlock the cell, as her skin began to change.
Maria?: Here's the pitch. I don't care about Mutants. I don't care about the good Mutants. I don't care about the bad Mutants. I used to. Maybe I cared too much. But you know what? Charles Xavier is lost in his own mind. His dream is old and dead. So screw it.
The door opened, Maria no long stood. Instead, Mystique herself is revealed to be the mastermind of the entire plan.
Mystique: How about we use our incredible powers and get rich? Really rich. But an island and sit on it rich. Is that something you think you'll be interested in?
The woman inside the cell began to laugh.
Lady Mastermind: That sounds like a whole lot more fun than staring at a wall. Although, I do have one minor request.
Mystique: And what would that be?
Lady Mastermind conjured up an illusion, of you.
Lady Mastermind: I want him. I want to kill him with my own two hands.

You rubbed your chin as you stared out the window. Your bedroom was once again full with your furniture.
You currently wore a towel around your waist after a well deserved shower. You had just gotten done with checking in on that strange girl that Scott had found.
She looked like she could be your sister. But, you were an only child. At least, you had always believed yourself to be an only child.
Maybe things were different in this world? No. That was impossible. This world's you was older. Much older.
Emma: Knock knock.
You looked over your shoulder to see Emma peeking in. Once she knew that you had acknowledged her, she entered and closed the door.
Emma: Hey. How are you holding up?
You cleared your throat and turned around. The lack of clothing wasn't ever a problem between the two of you. It was kind of comforting.
Knowing that you had someone you could be comfortable with.
Y/N: Shouldn't I be asking you? I mean, you did see an older version of yourself with our bad guys.
Emma: True, but I've always been a bit, "bad". It's not real surprising for me.
She leaned against the wall, and stared at you. You had changed a lot physically since you had left. You were much broader now. More muscle. She could tell that your mind was sharper as well.
Your hair, however, needed to be cut.
Y/N: You know, I'm practically naked here.
Emma: I'm aware. I do have eyes. Consider it pay back for all those times you imagined me naked during your therapy sessions.
You both shared a laugh. It had been some time since you last joined her in your mindspace.
Maybe you were due for another session?
Emma: Hey, do you need to talk? You know, about Laura? Her leaving so suddenly must be...
Y/N: I'm fine.
Though you were smiling, and though your voice was so assuring, she knew better.
Emma: It's not healthy to try and bury these things, Y/N. You can talk to me.
You knew you could. But the truth was that you didn't want to. You didn't even want to acknowledge what happened. You only really had yourself to blame, at least you believed, for Laura leaving. You weren't here. You were supposed to be there for her. To support her. But you let her down. And now she was gone.
Y/N: I need to get dressed.
Emma watched you for a moment before she sighed. She left without another word. Once she was gone you went to put some actual clothes on.

Seattle....
One Howard Smith worked on the latest numbers for the company Resilient. They mostly dealt in the oil business, but it was quite a lucrative market and they were doing well. He had just finished punching in the latest numbers when he heard a noise. He took a peek out of window to look at the station below.
That was when he witnessed the front doors blowing off of the factory and several figures rushing in. Havoc immediately broke loose as they moved to attack anyone near them. Two rushed towards the office where the money and personal information was gathered.
But these weren't just any random thieves. He had seen them before. He recognized their faces. One in particular.
Y/N: Let's wrap this up! Hurry it, X-Men!
Howard watched as the famous X-Men raided his business. Then, he heard a banging at his door. When it broke down finally, Jean Grey and Hank McCoy entered.
The man's screams could be heard even outside the factory.

You kept your hands in your pockets as you walked around the filed around the school. A lot was rattling in your head at the moment and you just wanted to sleep. The only problem with that was the fact that a lot was rattling around in your head. It was a vicious and tiring cycle.
You took a deep breath before coming to a stop. Everything seemed to be falling apart, but you couldn't really remember a time when things were, like, perfect? Maybe there was a time but it wasn't now and it hasn't been recently. And, honestly, you were mad at yourself for not expecting it.
Still, this wasn't the time to stay down. You needed to find a way to beat Scott and his stupid mutant pose.
Y/N: He even gave picked the lamest name for it too.
You shook your head before you heard a stick break. You quickly looked up only to find an oddly familiar face. One you hadn't seen in a while.
Y/N: Santo?
Your student that you were supposed to teach. You did a few lessons, but you never really got to teach them much besides some basic combat techniques.
The large boy smiled when he saw you. He made his way over and you saw that he had something in his hand. A baby bird. It looked hurt.
Santo: Good afternoon, teach. I heard you'd came back.
You smiled.
Y/N: Yeah. Sorry I was gone for so long.
You motioned to the bird.
Y/N: What happened here?
Santo looked at the bird and gently lifted it so you could take a look. Seemed like it broke it's wing.
Santo: I found him in my walk. I was hoping to take care of him.
Of course this walling mountain had a heart of gold. You carefully took the bird so that he didn't accidently hurt it. The bird chirped at you as you checked it's wing.
Y/N: Guess it'll need to heal a bit.
Santo: I'll make sure it recovers.
Y/N: I'll give you an A if you do.
You were only half joking.
Y/N: Come on. I think I got a shoe box somewhere. We can make a nest for it.
Santo: Okay.
You lead the way back to the Mansion as you gently petted the small creature with your thumb.
Y/N: Some rest will do it some good.
